Pairing: The epic race, Weiss Schnee, or Velvet Scarlatina?

Will the pairing be a story with a Dragon and Princess, or will it be some Fairy Tales?

Yang: Eh? Punny enough for ya?

Star: Yang?! How did you get here this is my area! It's called an Author's Note!

Yang: One you wrote me here, and two, aren't you breaking the fourth wall too?

Star:... Shut up...

Fun Fact! Velvet's last name and looks, are based on the fairy tale, The Velveteen Rabbit also known as How Toys Become Real. Which is a story about how a toy rabbit was given to a child, and it had a quest to become real for it's owner.

Midday had come by and well... he and Coco, who was let out early so she could get to know her new, but temporary, team member.

"I can't believe you ate that red velvet cake." Coco said with a touch of mirth in her voice recalling yesterday's events.

Natsu just looked at his leader. "Eh? What do you mean, I wasn't going to waste it!"

The fashionista placed her palm on her forehead as she sighed, "That's not what I meant. I mean how you ate it, while it was on fire! How was it even physically possible for that cake not to be burnt to a crisp by the time it got to you!"

"Fire Dragon Slayer Magic." Natsu said simply, "I've got Dragon Lungs to breathe fire, Dragon Scales to dissolve fire, and Dragon Claws to attack with fire. Because I was raised with Fire Dragon Slayer Magic, I am almost absolutely immune to all forms of heat, my body also stays warm no matter how cold it gets, and what I think is most important, was who taught it to me."

At the time, Natsu still didn't know what happened to his father. He still had his scarf which he glanced quickly at.

However Coco, being the biggest fan when it came to fashion, noticed this. "What's with the scarf? It clashes with you're looks."

He smiled, "It was the last thing my dad got me... before he... vanished."

"Vanished?" Coco asked surprised.

"July seventh, about... say twelve...ish? Years ago. I woke up one day and, nobody was nearby." He said with a sad smile, "But I swear I'll find him one day!" He said with a new fire in his eyes.

This still left questions and deciding it was for the betterment of knowing the little pinkette, she said, "What about your mother?"

"I never knew my biological parents." He said simply, "Igneel said he found me in a forest, other than that nothing. Took me in, raised me, taught me magic. I owe a lot to my dad."

Coco smiled, "Sounds like an awesome father. I'd like to meet him one day. Oh, we're here. Hope you're ready, Professor Port calls on anybody who says they are or looks ready, and considering you made a giant fireball yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if you were picked first."

Natsu only laughed as they walked in.

"Ah, Coco, it's been a while since I've had you in my class." The professor said.

This only had miss Adel laugh, "Well considering this is a first year class... I'm not that surprised. Anyways as I am sure headmaster told you that I will be joining your class this quarter, to watch after my little apprentice." She chuckled at that, yeah, her apprentice.

The man nodded, "Well seeing as you are the only two in your team, you are welcome to select any seat you choose."

"Come on, front is always the best." Coco said, "You get to see the fights closer!"

At that Natsu's face brightened up and picked the first one he could, Coco smiled and picked the one next to him.

The bell rang shortly after and students began filing inside.

Coco nudged Natsu and whispered to him, "Don't bother paying attention for most of this, he talks mostly about what he did when he was a hunter in his prime. But don't tell him that, he'll say he's still got it. Just wait towards the end when he asks for volunteers, that's when he'll actually teach, telling the weakness of Grimms and such."

'That is so much easier than Erza's training... why couldn't I have had this guy as a teacher?! I could totally have zoned out during Erza's lessons.' He thought of his painful lessons, not even regarding the fact it was Erza who taught him.

Once the students got seated and roll was taken, Natsu just looked around the room to keep himself occupied. He was somewhat interested in the drawings of Grimm on the wall, even a Giant Nevermore. He wondered if the Nevermore Ruby's team fought was a Giant.

However most of his attention was drawn towards Ruby, who sat two seats down, right after Weiss. Behind the two were Yang and her partner. Natsu was easily distracted by the younger girl's childish actions, clearly not paying attention to anything the professor said, not that it mattered to them. He then looked at the others and saw Yang chuckling at her sister, Blake reading a book, it was definitely not the text book, and then there was Weiss... Oddly enough she looked deeply interested on his speech of being the greatest.

"And now, would any of you like to demonstrate the qualities of a true hunter?" The professor opened up to the class. Natsu's eyes shined as he was about to get up, Weiss beat him to it.

"I think I do!" She said slamming her hands onto the desk gaining the attention of everyone. With the hunter's permission she was permitted to come down to the open floor to fight.

The gray haired man began to talk once more, "In this cage, is the Boarbatusk, a boar like Grimm who tends to curl up into a ball and run over anything. They are very fast and could be difficult to defeat. Now Weiss let us see if you have what it takes!" He slammed down onto the cage and the door opened up. Sure enough, out came the grimm.

He zoned out a little as to what the Professor was saying, seeing as it was little more than petty praise. He instead focused on the girl's team leader, as she gave advice and information on how to take down the Grimm. When his vision switched back to Weiss it was more than obvious that the girl was annoyed, face slightly red and eyes focused but he doubt it was on fighting.

"Would you be QUIET!?" Weiss screeched, but at that moment her weapon flung a ways away from her.

"Ah caught without your weapon, now, what will you do, Ms. Schnee?" Port asked.

When the boar charged at her she prepared a Glyph as a ramp that had it launch over her head and she made a break for her weapon. She then prepared another strike, this time aiming just under it's armor onto the stomach, just as Ruby had suggested earlier.

When she had done so the boar flew right out the window... which was at least fifteen feet up into the air, and from the looks of things it was not going to start going down anytime soon.

She glared at Ruby who deflated, Coco frowned at this, but none more so than Natsu.

Fairy Tail's motto was so ingrained into his head, that despite the fact his heart may still sting from remembering them, it was overlooked by the pure feeling of anger he had for the white haired heiress.

The bell rang as soon as Weiss had left.

"Coco, tell Velvet she's going to have to wait until Oobleck's class, I have someone I need to talk to." Natsu promptly left her. Coco on the other hand was shocked at this, the look of rage on his face was none like she had ever seen before, not even on villains.

Natsu followed as Ruby tried to catch up to Weiss.

"Weiss! Slow down!" Ruby cried out to her teammate and partner. Once she had gotten around the corner she had finally got close enough to her. "Weiss, what's wrong?"

This seemed to ignite a fury in the heiress. Natsu hid behind the corner.

"What's wrong?! You're what's wrong! You keep trying to be a leader, but so far I haven't seen any leading, just a little brat being a nuisance. Ever since the forest, you have been nothing but a child thinking you can take on the world.

"Unlike you, I have actually been trained, taught, and raised into leadership! You on the other hand, all you got was a lucky break being in the wrong spot at the right time. You don't deserve to be the leader of our team." She said angrily.

Hurt by her partner's words, Ruby attempted to close the gap, "Weiss... why are you saying all this? Didn't... you know, want to be a team? Where did all that go?"

She pointed her finger accusingly at Ruby, "Not a team, lead, by, you." With that she turned around.

Ruby also turned but was surprised by seeing Natsu and Ozpin.

"That was unexpected." Ozpin stated simply.

Natsu gave Ozpin a deadpanned look, "Is she right?" Ruby asked the headmaster. "Did you make a mistake?"

Ozpin looked at Natsu and nodded before leaving. "That's something we can't say Ruby. For one you're two years younger, are you going to be childish? Sure, you are still younger then them, you deserve some fun! But did Ozpin make a mistake? It's been two days Ruby, nobody is going to be perfect in two days. Besides, I think you'll turn out to be an awesome leader!" He flashed her a grin before walking in the same direction as Weiss did.

'Now... on to Weiss.' He thought to himself.

He followed Weiss and saw her walking towards the doors leading outside. Quickly he dashed towards her and grabbed her wrist.

"What the- Natsu! Let go of me-" Her eyes widened and silenced herself when she saw his eyes.

"You and I, need to talk." He dragged her outside towards the cliffs that viewed over Vale.

She huffed indignantly and looked at him, "What?" Her fear somewhat gone now, she still knew he had something on her.

"What was that with Ruby?" He glared at her, "A pathetic leader? You do realize she's two years younger, managed to stop a villain, and before you say he got away, a little birdie told me Professor Goodwitch was there, an experienced hunter had let him get away. I don't recall hearing your name anywhere other than being the Schnee company heiress, you trained? You studied?

"Ozpin already told you, told all of us, studying will only take you so far. And training? Well, let's hear it, what did you take down." He challenged her.

Weiss looked down and twiddled her thumbs. "I fought a knight, my father had me." she began mumbling.

"Really now? And what about me? I'll tell you right now, Ozpin came to me a few days before school began. So tell me, why on earth would he want me? You didn't know about me, so obviously I wasn't some big shot. But I was sought out personally by the Headmaster." He gave her a new question almost daring her to answer this time.

She did not.

He sighed and sat down, her following as they gazed out to the sun setting. It would have been romantic, had either had feelings for the other. "Where I came from, I was part of, well I suppose it was family." He started which garnered her attention.

"In that family, we were known as the best in the whole country. But you know what? The council hated us, simply because we are known as the most destructive group. However, the master of our group, he told us something different, 'Who cares what those old farts think, so long as you are doing what you think is right then nothing should hold you back!' is what he said. Another was to always protect your friends.

"I honor those two things in my heart like law. Those are the only two rules I accept. I don't care if I have to make an enemy with the world, if I am doing whats right and protecting someone I think is worth protecting, then I'll do it." He told her.

Weiss for the most part was silent, but in her mind, she couldn't help but think, 'Would father be that kind?' Ever since she was born, it was always, always, perfection. There were no ifs, ands, or buts. "You must have been strong."

"Feh, I wasn't strong at all." Natsu admitted to her. "Where I was from, we had a ranking system, F,D,C,B,A and S, in order from weak to strong. At most, when I was there, I was A. I never was able to defeat one of the S class members. Oh I would try, but I never won. I tried every chance I got. Every one was a crushing defeat."

This shocked her, Natsu, the boy who single handedly took down a high ranking Grimm, recommended for a lone senior hunter or team of moderate hunters. He was weak?

"You're lying." She said in a quiet voice.

Thanks to his Dragon Slayer magic, he picked it up and decided to put in his own two lien. "I had a team back then. It was made up of me, Lucy a girl I helped get into the guild, Gray my rival and an ice user, and lastly Erza, S class member as well as the strongest female member we had.

"We were known either as the strongest team, or the most destructive team. At the time, I was a reckless idiot, Lucy was a frail girl who couldn't throw a punch, Gray, while he did have brains and strength, he didn't have a resolve, and Erza, just as I said she was the strongest of us all, but a bit of a disciplinarian."

"She must have lead you guys then huh?" Weiss assumed.

"Nope." Natsu answered and her eyes shot open wide as she turned her head to him. "There never was a clear leader. But we made it work, we always made it work."

He knew this was going to bite him in the rear, but he needed to teach her a lesson, if he had to be the source of that lesson so be it. "I'm going to tell you a secret, one I haven't told even Team CFVY yet... let me tell you, about my last days in Fairy Tail...

Weiss felt guilty, no she didn't feel just guilty she felt disgusted with herself. Here she was whining about not being something as a team leader, and then there's Natsu. He just comes in, cuts her off, and then... changes her mind.

Honestly in comparison to his life? What right did she have to whine about when there was someone, sitting right next to her, who had lost everything. At least she had her little sister Winter, but Natsu? Natsu was all alone.

His story, it was unbelievable at times. But that's exactly what made it more believable. His eyes showed true sadness, true loss, his voice quivered when he mentioned names. The fact he didn't even try making it sound remotely true was another thing. What kind of lesson was to be learned from something fake?

"And that's what happened." Natsu said summarizing what has happened until now. "So tell me Weiss... what are you gonna do?"

She stood up with her head downcast, "I'm sorry."

"I'm not the one you should be saying that to. I'm certain there's a black with red tipped haired girl studying her butt off just to make it up to you." He gave her a small smile as he jerked his head in the direction of her dorm, and in it there was a faint yellow glow. Within that glow was a girl who looked like she was pulling her hair out and suddenly a rectangular object appeared in her hand, a book most likely.

This didn't help Weiss any more, if only making her more guilty.

"Well, Weiss?" Natsu said as the sun finally disappeared beyond the horizon. "Ruby is all but asking for your forgiveness, will you accept it?"

She glanced up at him and gave him a soft smile. "Yeah..." she began to walk away.

He smiled back and looked up as the stars began to show themselves. He suddenly felt arms wrap around him. "Thank you, for trusting me." Weiss said before dashing off.

Little did he know, her face was as red as Ruby's cape.

Natsu chuckled to himself as he too began to make his way to his own team.

The walk was short as when he got to the dorm room, there was Team CFVY, all looking at him with a smile. "Nice job, pinky." Coco said with a smile.

"You saw that huh?" He asked with a frail smile of his own. "So... I suppose you heard my-"

"Nope." Velvet said cheerfully. "Your life is your life. When you want we'll listen. We all stated how we value friendship, we didn't want to risk yours over some secret, so whenever you want, tell us or not, you're still our friend, even if you go solo or with another team!"

Natsu smiled, he could trust them with his life, not yet, he just unloaded his life once today. The next chance he gets, maybe he'll do it then. That or when someone needs to be taught a lesson.

"So... what was that about anyway? Not your past but, you know, why you got upset with Weiss." Coco asked.

"I wasn't exactly upset with Weiss, I just didn't want it to happen to Ruby." He said a little cryptically. "Well it's been a while, I think I'll stay outside for a while, you guys can go on inside." They nodded and turned around.

Once the four had left him he vanished in a shock of lightning and appeared on the roof. "Open, gate of the lion, Leo." He called out quietly, even though it wasn't necessary.

"So, Natsu, what's up this time?" The lion constellation asked.

"Just letting you know what's happened so far, wouldn't want Virgo and definitely not Aquarius know first. Virgo would probably crush me and Aquarius would more than likely flood the place."

He chuckled as he knew it was true, those two did get a little upset with Lucy and tended to be extra affectionate. Virgo simply because it was how she was, serving her master. But for Aquarius, it reminded her of how Lucy used to be, she admitted she didn't like being called often, but knowing how lonely it is to grow up in a giant mansion, a mother who is sick, and a father who doesn't care about anything but money and business, she felt sorry for her. Just as she did now with Natsu. Oh how the tables have turned.

Loke then looked at him, "So?" He asked expectantly.

Natsu began to retell his tale, the initiation and the past day. The lion frowned when he heard about Weiss but did a complete 180 when he told him Natsu talked to her. Of course he was downed when Natsu said he told what happened to him, but that was quickly outdone by the amount of pride he felt when Natsu smiled.

Once he was done, the two looked at each other and fist bumped, "Oh and, don't call on Aquarius for a while, Lucy's on a sea related mission so Aquarius will be called up more than likely, unless of course, you want to play with her?" He said with a smirk.

However, Natsu only smiled, "It's been a while since I summoned one of them."

The spirit laughed, "You could summon them any time, they are much more understanding now you know?"

"Well duh, they don't want to disappear even if it's for a few moments of absolute freedom." He huffed with an annoyed look. "She's just gonna play around, besides do you have any idea how difficult it is going to be to explain something like that?!"

"Weiss understood it, and from the way you said she acted, sounds like she's a logical thinking person. If she believes you, I doubt that anyone else would deny it. Oh, feels like Lucy's trying to get to me, later Natsu!"

With that Natsu closed his gate and walked back to his dorm with the team. He went to his corner of the room and slept on his hammock he had prepared. Before falling asleep, he took a glance at his team.

For the past two days with the team, he thought about each of them. Coco was nice, she had that calm, collected, and deadly aura. She had that feeling of 'Cross me, and you won't know what hit you.'

Velvet was like a sweet and innocent girl. Oh she could fight all right, but from what he's seen, seeing that he hasn't even seen her fight. She has the build of a close range fighter, but didn't seem to focus too much on it, just enough for self defense and to get out for whatever she had.

Yatsuhashi had the looks of a bear. Kinda like Elfman, except he didn't scream Man at the end of every sentence. Instead he was like a calm version of him.

Lastly there was Fox. With the training he had early in the day, before Coco had come in. Fox was serious about not using his senses, even going so far as to blindfold Natsu as he tried to attack him. Fox clearly had trained massively in this as when he tried, not only did he manage to avoid every punch and kick Natsu sent, but even land a hit or two back.

He grinned as his eyes fell, tomorrow he had three classes, one with Coco, then Velvet, and lastly Yatsuhashi. After that they were set for some sparring. Yeah... tomorrow was going to be fun.

Just letting you know, the events in this story aren't the same in Canon (Both Fairy Tail and RWBY)

I might get back onto it... but with animes like Kantai Collection: KanColle, World Break: Aria of Curse for the Holy Swordsman (Seriously, I want to make a fanfic crossover with RWBY for that one, now he, I would without a doubt pair with Weiss in a heartbeat.), No Game No Life (Okay so I already watched it... but you have to admit Shiro, I don't care if you are a guy or girl you cannot doubt it, Shiro is freaking cute!

Anyways new question:

I don't plan on having anyone from Earthland join Remnant, so I want to know, if I do decide to have people from Earthland join?

Same as the pairing, pick who and pick why.

You CANNOT choose anyone from Team Natsu, Gajeel, Lisanna, or Mirajane. Simply because, those are always overdone. Pick someone new! You can choose from outside of the Fairy Tail guild so long as it's within reason (Meaning know Natsu or has something that makes it interesting for them to be in Remnant.
