Chapter 4: Reunited.

"Is it really you Sango?"

"It is."

"It's been seven years."

"I know." She said.

The conversation felt so awkward and strange so, foreign. It was like two strangers speaking for the first time.

"You said we needed to speak." I reminded her.

"Yes but not over the phone. We need to meet. How soon can you make it to Matsuyama?"

"I can be there by tonight," I said with the utmost certainty.

"When you get here, give me a call and we can pick a place and time to meet."

"Sure thing, see you then," I said hanging up.

I stood up, letting the water roll off my body.

I let out a heavy sigh. "God that was terrible," I said as I buried my face into my hands.

I stepped out of the tub, wrapping myself in a towel. I opened the bathroom door. Poking my head out, I saw Sesshomaru laying down in bed. Hopefully, he was sleeping.

"Are you done acting like a child now." Apparently, I wasn't so lucky.

"I am not acting like a child," I told him.

"What do you call hiding he the bathroom, for two hours straight?" He shot back.

I scoffed. "I was having some well needed time alone."

"Well needed? So you need time away from me, is what you're saying?"

I sighed. "Can we not fight anymore? Please, it's getting old."

He sat up in bed. "I agree, this is getting old." He said as he walked out the room slamming the door behind him.

Great, I managed to make things even worse. I opened the closet grabbing the biggest suitcase I could find. Throwing any and everything in it, even the things I didn't need. After I finished packing, I slipped into a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Shoving my feet into a pair of sneakers. Scooping my short wet hair, into a messy bun.

"What are you doing?"

I turned around to see Sesshomaru standing there.

"I'm packing, isn't it obvious?"

He had a stoic look on his face. "Are you leaving me?"

I shot up to my feet. I went over to him cupping his face. "Why would you think something like that?"

He moved my hands. "Your packing your bags. Right after we fought Kagome. I know things have been rough lately but, you don't have to leave. We can work through this okay. I don't want to lose you. Please don't leave me." He whispered harshly.

I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I ran my finger across his lips. I pressed my lips to his lips softly.

"Sesshomaru listen to me. I am not leaving you. Don't ever think I would do something like that. I Love you, I could never leave you." I told him.

He stared into my eyes. " Then why are you packing your bags?"

"I got a call from Sango while I was in the bathroom."

His eyes went wide. " What'd she say?"

"She wants to meet with me. She says that she has something to tell me. Something too important to tell me over the phone." That's why I'm packing my bags."

"I'm coming with you." He said.

"No. This is something I have to do alone." I told him.

"The last time I let you go off alone you almost died. I am coming with you."

He stood up grabbing a suitcase filling it with his clothes. I smiled at him.

"I'll go get Kanna ready," I said.

I was packed and had Kanna ready in a matter of twenty- minutes. Sesshomaru loaded everything into the car. I carried her down and, buckled her in. I got into the driver's seat, starting up the car.

"Sesshomaru, how far is Narita airport from here?" I asked him.

"About an hour drive." He said.

"Good, I can make it there in thirty/thirty-five minutes."

"God Kagome we spoke about this. You said no more speeding tickets."

I smiled. " I won't get any more I promise."

"You sure about that?" He asked.

"Of course. I just won't get caught this time." I said pressing my foot on the gas pedal.

We'd been in Matsuyama for all of ten hours and, I still couldn't build up the courage to call Sango. I just sat there, staring at my phone.

"It isn't going to dial her number on its own you know."

"I know that Sesshomaru I'm just-"

"A pussy." He said chuckling.

I laughed. "Thanks," I said rolling my eyes.

"Here let me help you." He said snatching my phone.

"You don't even know which number is hers," I said.

"Oh? Maybes it's the one under Sango."

I watched him press call. Then he tossed the phone back to me.

"Sesshomaru I'm gonna- Hey Sango... Kitakubota park... at three o'clock, sure. I'll see you there."

Sesshomaru just stood there with a stupid grin on his face.

"That's not funny," I said slapping his chest.

"You should hurry three o'clock is in fifteen minutes."

I looked at my watch. "Shit." I grabbed my coat. "Make sure Kanna eats something when she wakes up," I said running out of the door.

It was already three-fifteen, she should have been here by now.

"Kagome."

I knew that voice. I turned around slowly.

"S-sango."

"Hello, little sister."
