Obi-Wan Kenobi was meditating, stretching out his feelings, and searching for answers. From asking a few of the passengers on board, the Trade Federation had blockaded the planet Naboo and was requesting the Queen to sign a treaty. Chancellor Valoruum sent Qui-Gon and him to negotiate with Viceroy; however, it apparently never took place. The passengers said that they somehow ended up at Theed where they rescued them. Everything was working fine, and the plan was to deliver the Queen to Coruscant, but the blockade proved to be too much for them. The ship was failing until Artoo fixed it monetarily allowing them to land on Tatooine. That was when Obi-Wan passed out. Now they were all waiting for Qui-Gon to get the required parts of the ship.

Obi-Wan remembered this time in history. Although not to the detail he was told as he really tried to block this time in his life out. The Battle of Naboo was when his Master fatally died. Really, this was when the galaxy started to crumble. Perhaps this was why he was sent back in time, to change it. Obi-Wan knew exactly where to start too, with Palpatine. He would make sure the Sith Lord would never gain office as the Chancellor. The Sith would not rise this time around.

During the past year, it seemed Obi-Wan had tried to put blame on everyone for the downfall of Anakin from himself to Padme, from Palpatine to even Ahsoka Tano. The Jedi Order itself was to be blamed for what happened to Anakin; it never became the home he needed. While everyone in Anakin's life contributed to the downfall of Anakin, only Anakin himself was the true blame. Everyone had warned that there was darkness in him, that his future was clouded, but Obi-Wan always defended him. Qui-Gon had believed in him, so he did too. Obi-Wan's attachment to the boy blinded Obi-Wan and he couldn't see the darkness that was consuming Anakin. Anakin was no Chosen One like Obi-Wan had once believed for so long, instead that title belonged to Luke Skywalker. If there were to be light in the galaxy again, it would be Luke who would destroy the two Sith Lords.

Or would he? Obi-Wan had a chance to change history. He could stop Anakin from even becoming a Jedi. Of course, leaving the boy on Tatooine also could backfire. What if the Sith somehow found Anakin and trained him as a child? That would be even worse had Anakin be a Jedi and turn. Obi-Wan was certain Qui-Gon would not meet his fate against the hands of Darth Maul again, so perhaps his master could train Anakin. Anakin always had a special connection with his master, even with the short time they had known each other. They had a special bond even he and Qui-Gon didn't have together. So was that the answer for Anakin? Was he to allow him to be a Jedi despite knowing the darkness he would face in the future? Obi-Wan didn't know.

"Obi-Wan, come in. Are you there? Obi-Wan?"

Obi-Wan opened his eyes, looking at his comlink. It was an old comlink, new to this time in history, yet old to him and his present-day technology. He picked up and replied, "Kenobi."

"Obi-Wan, there is only one junk dealer that has the part we need; the only problem is that he won't accept credits. Do you think the Queen has anything that we could use to trade?"

Obi-Wan had been on Tatooine for a year and it was already one too many. Tatooine was a merciless planet that was nothing more than a dust planet fully of pity and thief. Water was scarce, and tragedies were common. Least of all the Hutts ruled it. No wonder Anakin always had such strong hate for the planet and his former Padawan had to live on it for nine years. Obi-Wan couldn't imagine what he would be like had he stayed there for another eighteen. Hopefully by then, Luke would have been old enough to be on his own.

"I'm afraid you're on your own. Our valuables are the least of their needs."

"Are you sure?"

"I could always scrounge around for something, Master. I'm sure nobody would notice I was gone." Because Obi-Wan was about certain he knew of someone who could help them. The alien had helped poor Ben Kenobi when he was first making a home in the Jundland Wastes and if Obi-Wan could recall correctly that being should still be living in the same home.

"No. You need to stay to protect the Queen. She is of high importance right now. I will keep looking. I'm sure something will come up."

And with that, the transmission ended. Although, Obi-Wan was a little confused. He could have sworn Padme had gone with them into the settlements. Perhaps she hadn't in this timeline which was odd because he didn't understand what could have happened to change that.

Finally standing up, Obi-Wan left to go to the Queen's quarters. He was going to talk to Padme himself; after all, it was Padme who moved the motion for the Vote of No Confidence. Perhaps Obi-Wan could convince the young queen to trust Chancellor Valorum with taking care of her planet to stall Palpatine from going into office since the Sith Lord would eventually find his way. Once he rang the bell and the handmaidens saw that it was Obi-Wan at the door, they at once let him in. Obi-Wan was quite surprised to find Padme was not in the room. There was a girl who sat in the queen's seat, wearing the queen's wardrobe and makeup; however, that was not Padme. It was a decoy. Obi-Wan remembered now. Smart girl.

"I am here to report that Master Qui-Gon found the parts and is figuring a way to pay for them as we speak" Obi-Wan spoke with a bow.

"Thank you, Master Jedi," the decoy queen said.

Obi-Wan gave another curtsy bow and departed the room, knowing he had much planning to do.

….

Anakin did not find it hard to find the outlanders. After all, it seemed trouble always found the Gungan. He couldn't be taken anywhere without him making an idiocy scene. Only children could find the Gungan entertaining and loveable while everyone else only saw him as an insult to intelligence. As it was now, a Dug had the Gungan pinned to the ground, wrapping his hands around Jar Jar's throat as he continued with the threats. It was time for him to intervene.

"Let him go, Dug," Anakin commanded in Huttese, forgetting Sebulba's name. "You do not want to mess with him," he warned. "Jar Jar one day will become a powerful Representative of his world and will come back exacting for revenge."

Sebulba backed off from Jar Jar, facing Anakin with a sinister grin. "You're the one who better watch it, slave. I'd kill you right now if I didn't have to pay for you. You're lucky you mean a lot to Watto, but the next time we race it'll be the end of you. I'll make sure of that."

Anakin was about to pick a fight with the Dug as he was walking away, but decided against it had Qui-Gon and Padme not been walking to him. Instead, Anakin settled on taking deep breaths, counting off the planets in his head, which honestly didn't help if anyone was wondering, so he thought of addressing Jar Jar.

"The Dug shouldn't mess with you again," Anakin said, helping Jar Jar up. Although it didn't much help considering his small frame that constantly slipped his mind. "Unless you get in his way again, which I strongly advise not to." Upon seeing Qui-Gon with a curious face, he slightly bowed to him before switching his view to Padmé in which he smiled at the obvious annoyance that she obtained from the Gungan.

"Mesa hates crunchen," the Gungan protested. "Dat's da last ting mesa wanted."

"Nevertheless, the boy is right; you're heading into danger." Qui-Gon looked at Anakin and studied him for a second. "Thanks, my young friend."

The group was once again on the move, but this time Anakin was on their heels, wondering if it was too late to turn around or if he's decided to seek them out was such a good idea. Still, Anakin couldn't help but feel the warmness in his heart at walking beside Padme again. Her presence soothed him and made him believed that everything was okay, but only for a split second. He wasn't delusional; he knew that he couldn't be with her. Especially now with the age gap and the danger that he possessed to the galaxy. The galaxy would not be in ruins this time because of him. It was luck if the Emperor could find him this time around.

"Anakin, is it?" Qui-Gon asked, bringing Anakin out of his thoughts. Once Anakin nodded, he continued. "Would you happen to know anyone who might be willing to help us," hesitating, he continued. "Anyone friendly to the Republic."

Anakin saw the sharp glance Padmé shot at Qui-Gon; although, he ignored it as did Anakin. "I am sorry, but no. This is the Outer Rim which is territorial of the Hutts. The only people you will find here are scum, high class at that. If this was a regular piece of junk ship, we could use a few substitutes to hold you off until you've reached your destination; however, the ship is designed to only accept other Nubian parts."

Qui-Gon stopped in his tracks, eyeing Anakin carefully. "How are you aware of this information?"

Eyes opening wide, Anakin tried to conceal any emotion, trying to think of any type of excuse. Truthfully, he just remembered it from his timeline. Anakin had always had a distinctive memory of the first he and Padme first met. It had been in his dreams for as long as he could remember as Anakin and Vader.

"I knew someone who worked for the Nubian Design Collective; it's the manufacturing company of your ship. I'd like to be a mechanic when I grow up, so I took many notes from the man."

And it seemed Qui-Gon accepted the small fib, although still wary, as he nodded in approval.

Anakin sighed in relief, wanting to shake his head in disbelief. He couldn't believe how easy it was to say one wrong sentence to be put in such a tricky situation. Anakin knew that he had to be more careful from then on. The Jedi Master was not going to be easy to fool. Perhaps he should just forget them and say his goodbyes to Padme then. Anakin didn't think he could handle being in that spot again. Of course, that was before sensing a sandstorm was approaching. The temperature was changing fast and the winds were rapidly picking up. If they didn't head to his hovel soon, they were going to get caught in it—and that was never a good thing.

"You will follow me," he commanded, pushing his way to the front of the party to guide them. "Quickly!" he urged, as he saw they weren't moving.

"To where? Why?" Qui-Gon asked.

Right. Blowing faster, the wind was picking up its speed carrying items with it. "I'll explain on the way," he shouted, over the noise the wind was making. "Move!"

All exchanging glances at each other at the sudden change of personality from Anakin, they followed him nevertheless sensing, Jedi or not, the seriousness of the situation by his tone.

Anakin, on the other hand, knew he had improvements to do on his communication skills; however, it was hard to keep in mind that he wasn't Vader, nor a Jedi General. Giving orders came naturally to him, and he expected them to be followed with no questions asked even though he knew where his party was coming from -a child was no commanding officer.

"There's a sandstorm coming, and my hovel will be the best shelter available for you all," Anakin explained as they continued to fight against the storm.

But luckily they arrived before any serious damage was done from the storm making Anakin pray that everything would work out in the end.
