Authors Note: Please don't kill me! I'm so sorry! I had writers block for this story, and I still kind of do. So if this chapter is really sucky. DON'T BLAME ME! Blame my writers block. Also, sorry! If you have any ideas for me please leave it in the comments. I have a vague idea for this story, but as I have learned whenever I plan a story it turns out really bad. I'm such a backwards person. The other reason for me not updating is I've starting watching a lot of horror lets plays by Markiplier. He's pretty awesome. I will tell you what the gadgets are in the next chapter, hopefully. I still have no idea which gadgets their going to need.

Chapter 4

Where am I? Percy thought. He was in a darkly lit room. Percy looked toward his left and growled. It was the man who took his family away from him. He was sitting at a desk near the end of the dark room opposite of a door. Percy tried to move to attack the man, but he was locked in place. Percy groaned as he realized it was a demigod dream.

The door across from the man slid open, and two people entered the room. Percy glared daggers at the people at the door, even though he couldn't see who they were in the dark. It was like an animal instinct inside of him was telling him that these people intended to harm the people he loved. As the two people walked to the better lighting in the center of the room, and Percy began to recognize one of the two people. It was Octavian. At first, Percy was confused, but his confusion turned to anger as he realized that he seemed to have complete control over his actions unlike the other demigods he had encountered.

"Report." the man at the desk commanded.

"Sir, there is still no sign of Jackson or the other demigods and legacies that managed to escape us. With your permission, I would like to send spies to every agency to find out if they have any leads on the missing children." the man next to Octavian spoke with an arrogant voice. Octavian looked at him with distaste evident in his eyes.

"Now, Octavian. What do the signs say about our plans?"

"The signs show that our plans will be a success." Octavian responded with his usual gusto causing Percy's anger to skyrocket. Octavian looked towards Percy and smirked knowingly.

The dream sequence faded to show a hooded figure hiding in a dark alley. As more people came into the alleyway the figure left the shadows. He wore a yellow jacket, and ripped blue jeans. The man also had a tool belt that was halfway hidden beneath his jacket. Percy only needed to see the tool belt and a hint of the figure's face to know it was Leo Valdez. Percy grinned at the knowledge that he might find the location of one of his friends. Percy followed Leo as he went into the crowded streets of a city. Percy looked around; desperately trying to find out which city it was. All too soon the dream melted away as he awoke to his blaring alarm clock. The only clue he got was that the city was off the coast of Lake Michigan.

Percy cursed his alarm clock for waking him up at a critical moment in his dream, but he could not let go of the hope and joy that he felt at the fact that he was not the only free demigod out in the world. He just needed to figure out how to find them. He was still very confused as to why Octavian was there. Octavian was the one that saved him in the initial attack, why was he there helping the very same people he had saved Percy from?

He snapped out of his thoughts because his alarm clock continued to pound against his eardrums. He had forgotten how annoying it was to wake up so early for school. Slowly, he got dressed and brushed his teeth. After he gathered his school supplies he walked out of his door and drove to school. After a painful drive with the "wonderful" radio that Apollo installed in his car Percy arrived at the school. He parked his car, and started walking toward the school when he was stopped by the girl who asked him out yesterday. She looked like she was wearing her best clothes and her make-up that looked like something an Aphrodite girl would wear.

"Are you sure you don't want to be my boyfriend?" she asked while batting her eyelashes.

"I don't even know your name." Percy stated bluntly.

"It's Mandy. You know, I could show you around Beverly Hills after school. It could be like a date." Mandy suggested while putting an innocent look on her face. Her voice scratching in his ears.

"I already told you, I have a girlfriend." he told her. Percy tried to walk around her, but she kept getting in his way. Her innocent face was quickly turning into an impatient one. The rest of the walk consisted of Mandy nagging Percy to be her boyfriend, and Percy trying and failing to keep her out of his way. He finally ditched her when she screamed in anger and stomped away. Again. Percy sighed in relief when she was gone. There was only one problem; Percy had no idea where any of his classes were. He had forgotten to ask for another map of the school and he had lost his schedule. On the bright side, Percy thought, at least I haven't blown up the school yet.

"Do you need help?" a girl with short brown hair and tan skin broke Percy out of his thoughts.

"Yeah, do you know where the office is?" Percy responded to the girl. She nodded.

"Yes, it's this way, you can just follow me." the girl offered. She started down the hallway. Percy hesitated a little before following her.

"Bye the way, my name's Alex!" Alex cheerfully chirped, "Your Peter, right? The new student."

"Yeah." Percy replied quietly. They arrived quickly to the office. Percy went in and thanked Alex. As they both parted ways Alex accidentally bumped into Percy.

"Sorry!" she squeaked with an apologetic look on her face.

"It's OK." Percy assured her. He went into the office to get his schedule and a map of the school. Alex waved goodbye to him as she hurried off to class.

*LINEBREAK!*

In the hallway Alex met up with Clover and Sam. Most of the students were already at their first class of the day. There was no one around to overhear them. They looked at Alex expectantly.

"Did you get the tracking device on him?" Sam asked. Alex nodded.

"Yup!"

"I still don't get why we have to put it on him in the morning. Wouldn't it be better if we put it on him in the afternoon? So it wouldn't, like, fall off." Clover asked.

"Yes, but if it does fall off we can still follow his car." Sam answered calmly.

"Then why did we do it in the morning?" Clover asked once again.

"It seemed like the perfect opportunity Clover." Alex told Clover sheepishly.

"Why didn't we look up just look up his address, I mean, it would be a lot easier." Clover continued.

"He might run off to somewhere else. He's the only lead we have with all of those missing teens." Sam explained with a hint of irritation, "For now we just have to get to class and act like it's just like any normal day."

*TWO LINEBREAKS IN THE SAME CHAPTER, WOW!*

Percy went back to his temporary home without any unexpected attacks. After ten minutes of being at home, Percy felt strange. He had the feeling that someone was watching him. His suspicions were confirmed when he heard a faint rustling outside. Warily, he grabbed Riptide from his pocket, and started toward the door. The door creaked open, and Percy stepped outside. He quickly scanned the perimeter of the house, and he heard the rustling again. It sounded like footsteps crunching on leaves. Percy pinpointed the noise to a bush that looked strangely out of place. The bush looked unnaturally green next to the others. When Percy went to inspect it further, he was pulled in by a powerful burst of air.

Percy was an expert on abnormal. He himself represented something that should not exist, but he found it strange that there was a metal tube below what seemed like a normal house. However, he did not ponder too much on why he was falling down said metal tube. His mind was freaking out because he thought that he had been found and captured by the enemy. When the tube came to an end he landed on a very comfortable red couch. There were four people surrounding him. He recognized three of them as Alex and two other girls in his class, including the one who looked suspiciously at him. The fourth one looked like an old British man. Percy also couldn't help but notice the giant sign behind them that said WHOOP.

"Welcome Mr. Jackson." the old British dude greeted. Percy tensed at his real name.

"How do you-" Percy started.

"You must be confused, but I implore you not to panic. We do not intend to harm you." the British guy continued, "My name is Jerry; you already know Clover, Alex, and Sam." Each girl nodded at their name was called.

"Who do you work for? What do you want?" Percy questioned.

"We work for WHOOP, an international spy agency dedicated to the protection of the world." the British guy-Jerry answered.

"We just want to know what happened to all of the missing people that disappeared toward the end of the summer." Sam answered Percy's last question.

"We're hoping that you can help us with locating the others, since you were the only one we were able to find." Alex added on cheerfully. Percy thought to himself for some time. He was debating on whether he could trust them or not. His logic told him no, but his instinct told him yes. Being the reckless demigod that he is, Percy decided to trust them.

"Alright, I'll help you, but on one condition. I will not tell you why these people are after me and my family." Percy cursed himself the moment he let out that sentence.

"Family? There was no information about all of the missing people being a family." Alex asked, confused. Everyone looked at Percy expectantly.

"Uhhh, … well….. you see…" Percy began, unable to find that right words to say a believable lie. Luckily for him, Jerry came to his rescue after quickly skimming the data while Percy was trying to come up with a good lie.

"There is a possibility that they could all be related. Most, if not all of them, have at least one unknown parent." Percy sighed in relief.

"Wait a minute that would mean that you know who your unknown parent is." Clover stated. Percy tensed. He had not completely dodged that bullet.

"That would be classified as one of the reasons my family was captured." Percy widened his eyes, "I said it again!" Sam's eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

"Can we please just get back to the matter at hand. Would you like to work with us or not?" Sam questioned. Percy nodded, even though his logic was screaming at him not to. He promptly told his logic to shut up.

"Excellent, now, let's begin." Jerry told Percy, "What do you know about your family's disappearance." Percy looked down.

"Not much," Percy started, "Only that a man covered in shadows has captured most of them, and that this man is planning something. Also, I think I know where a family member of mine, Leo Valdez, may be located. He's somewhere off the coast of Lake Michigan in a big city, I hope."

"Is that all you know?" Percy nodded, "Alright, we will start by monitoring the video cameras in all of the bigger cities around Lake Michigan. However, this may take a few days considering we're looking for one person, in a city, by Lake Michigan. We'll protect you here in Beverly Hills until we can locate your family member."

"Does this mean I still have to go to school?" Percy whined.

"Yup." Alex responded with a laugh. Percy just groaned.
