Chapter 4: The Fight and Friendship

Sam had a boyfriend of all the rotten luck. Kane was finally going to admit to her that he still loved her and this happens. Of course she would have another boyfriend anyone would have to be a complete idiot for not wanting to be her boyfriend. Kane thought he was an idiot as he pounded into the punching bag. The image of Sam being in Justin's arms made his blood boil with rage. Seeing him nipping at her ear made him want to scream as his punches grew stronger. He just wanted to punch Justin into a coma and pull Sam into his arms as he kissed her. Then again he never got rid of her none of this would be happening now. Flash back scene: It all started after his match with Alberto Del Rio. He won of course but the Mexican Aristocrat was not happy and decided to get some payback. Del Rio followed him to the back and attacked him from behind. He grabbed a chair and began to hit Kane with it. Just then Sam appeared with a bat and began to pound into Alberto Del Rio. He got a busted up face and ran away as Sam helped Kane to the nurse. Later that night Del Rio struck again as he attempted to run Kane over with his car but instead Sam pushed him out of the way and almost got hit herself. Kane was angry not only did Del Rio attack him twice in one day but because of him Sam was put in danger. She was too precious for him to lose but he had no choice. On the night Sam's contract was about to end Kane took her to their secret rooms in the arena. Sam looked excited as she said she had something special for him. But Kane said", Sam you are a weakness I never want to see you again. Because of you I couldn't beat Del Rio when he jumped me and I am a monster I have no time for a country hick that is nothing more than a fling", he said firmly.

"Kane you don't mean that", Sam said as she fought back tears.

"Don't tell me what I mean you are nothing to me now go away I never want to see you ever again!" Kane shouted.

"Fine you stupid jerk I will leave!" Sam cried as she threw her gift she made for him on the floor and stormed out as tears fell from her eyes. Kane was heartbroken as he picked up the package it was a small tape that had on it in black marker Happy Anniversary. Kane played it and it showed clips of how they first met to their first kiss. She must of spent months getting all those old clips, he thought to himself. Realizing he was an idiot for letting her leave he quickly bought her a bouquet of sunflowers and went to go find her the next day. But she was long gone for she didn't go to Smack Down or any other wrestling company. Sam went back home and he lost her forever. He still kept that tape close to him and that night he cried himself to sleep and that was the last time he showed emotion. He was now the monster and he acted as such but every now and then he would steal away into a private screening room and watch the tape of him and Sam. End Flash back

Now she has a boyfriend and he was mad as hell. But what can he do? After all he was the one who threw her away. The only thing he knew was that Justin had better treat Sam like a goddess or he would make his life a living hell. Sam was in the locker room a few days later still going back through the last time she saw Kane. She wanted to apologize for he wanted to tell her something and she went off with Justin. She found him in the darkest part of the arena and said very softly", Hey Kane mind if I join you?"

He looked at her and smiled as he said", Sure" as he scooted over.

"I am really sorry about the whole Justin incident I should of told you I was dating someone", Sam said in an apologetic tone.

"It's alright it is none of my business if you are seeing someone", Kane told her even though his heart was breaking.

"Still you were trying to me something important and I blew you off", Sam said.

"It wasn't that important", Kane lied as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Well what did you want to tell me anyways?" Sam asked.

"I wanted to still be your friend was all", Kane lied. Well it wasn't a total lie he still wanted to be part of Sam's life and he would settle for being a friend. Sam gave him that look like she could see into his very soul and was worried she would know that he was lying.

But she gave him a sweet smile and said", I would like that too". Just then he phone rang and she answered it and of course it was Justin. "Hey honey how are you?" she asked sweetly. Kane was balling up his fists but kept his temper in check. "Oh I am fine just talking to Kane", she said. Just then she had to pull the phone away as shouting was heard from the other line. "Sweetie I told you we are just friends now and of course I will always be yours", Sam said softly. "Please don't be mad no I am quitting RAW. Look I will talk to you later", she said as she hung up the phone. Kane didn't want to say anything but he noticed Sam wiping a tear away from her eye.

"Are you okay Sam?" Kane asked in a concerned tone.

"Yes, I am fine it's just Justin is a little possessive", Sam explained.

"I say he is more than a little", Kane said softly.

"He doesn't trust me with anyone", Sam said. "He hates it when I talk to my guy friends of even the divas I mean seriously", Sam exclaimed.

"Well I was possessive too", Kane reminded her.

"Yeah but you at least trusted me enough not to fly off the handle when I was talking to John Cena or Rey Mysterio", Sam reminded him.

"I just knew you were loyal and you wouldn't cheat on me", Kane told her.

"I know maybe Justin just needs a little time thanks Kane you are a good friend", Sam said as she hugged him.

"You're welcome Sam", Kane said as he hugged her back. Just then he noticed the small diamond ring on her wedding finger. "Sam are you engaged?" Kane asked as his heart began to break.

"Yeah Justin proposed to me the same night he met you and I think that is why he is so protective", Sam said. Kane grew pale at the thought of Sam walking down the aisle with Justin instead of him. "Hey Kane are you alright?" Sam asked in a concerned tone.

"Oh yeah I am just very happy for you", Kane said with a fake smile on his face.

"Thanks I am still glad I can count on you as a friend", Sam said as she kissed his cheek. "Well I'll see you later", Sam said as she walked leaving Kane alone with his thoughts.

"Bye Sam", he said softly as a tear fell from his face as it landed right on the very spot where Sam had kissed him. That night Kane had officially died inside.
