IMPORTANT AN: I changed a bit of the chapter two and I believe a little in chapter three as well, just to make it a little clearer I think, so if you are not new/are not rereading since it has been so long then just FYI!
AN: forgive me if I start to slip on "Chan" and "San"s and all that stuff, when I first started writing this I was reading sailor moon and it was all very fresh, but it is hard, so sorry if I end up more or less dropping it. Also, please forgive any mistakes, if you let me know about them I will try to fix. ALSO, I will try my very best to post again soon, I'm not sure where this story is going as it is no longer going where it first was, I am finding out as much as you as it goes, sooo... HERE WE GO!

"Who are you?" Mamoru asked
The girl masquerading as Sailor Moon smiled up at him, "You know me Endymion," She said innocently. She had not just Serenity's Voice, but her smile too, a smile that he remembered from a lifetime ago. Yes they were so very much like Usako's, but also a little bit more… more refined…
"Stop it," Mamoru said holding the girl at arms length, as anger starting to build in his voice, "I don't know what you are playing at, but I know you are not the real Sailor Moon." Chibi-Usa had gone home to make sure that Usako was indeed home and safe, once they had decided to bring the fake Sailor Moon back to his apartment.
The girl blinked up at Mamoru her head tilted to the side in question, "You have become blind Endymion, so disconnected from the Earth," she speaks her head in disappointment at him, as she raises to touch the side of his face.
Mamoru catches her hand before she can touch his cheek, "If I am so blind than help me see, tell me, and stop playing games!" Mamoru's hand shook with anger and fear, not fear of this fake Sailor Moon hurting him, but fear of how badly he wanted her touch. It had been two weeks since Usako had come home from the hospital, and still her memories had not returned. Usako had apologized the day after she got home for yelling at him, and saying she hated him, but had not wanted to see Mamoru since.
"Very well Endymion," the girl sighs, "I will try to answer your questions."
"Why do you keep calling me Endymion?" Mamoru asked.
She looks at him eyebrows raised, "Endymion is your name, and it is only polite to call someone by their name."
"I go by Mamoru now."
She looks away in something of disgust, "That is not your true name, and I will not call you by it."
Mamoru furrows his brow, but then shakes his head, "Very well, and what is your name? As it is only polite to call you by it."
The girl bits her lip in thought, and then shrugs her shoulder, "You can call me Serenity."
Mamoru narrows his eyes, his grip on her wrist that he still held tightening, "And is that YOUR true name?" the anger back in his voice.
Again she shrugs, "in a way it is my true name, and it is not… you see I am a part of Serenity, and she is a part of me… I… I had to protect us… I had to protect you…" her words were halting, and she had a crease in her brow, like what she had to say was not clear, but jumbled up and she was having a hard time straightening it all out.
Still for some reason Mamoru didn't think it was because she was trying to lie to him… not yet any way.
"Endymion," the girl looks up at him, "when you look at me what do you see?" She asks him.
"I see a fake, someone pretending to be Sailor Moon." Mamoru looks down at her, his eyes hard.
The girl speaks her head, "I am more Sailor Moon then Usagi alone, as I am the one to give her the power of a Guardian—" Mamoru opens his mouth to ask what she means, but she puts her free hand to his lips before he can stop her, and shakes her head, "Answer my question first, and I do not mean with your eyes, I mean with inner senses what do you see?"
Mamoru closes his eyes, and in the same heart beat they fly open because what he senses, what he had unknowingly been sensing this whole time, but had not payed attention to because it was such a constant presents, such a part of the real Usako! "You have the Silver Millennium Crystal!" Mamoru yelled, the Silver Millennium Crystal had been missing since the night Usako had gone to the hospital, they had all thought that some how it gone inside Usako as it had done before. As no one had found it, and Luna-San had said no one had broken in, it had seemed the only logical explanation… until now.
"How did you get it?" Mamoru demanded, "You will give it to me now!" Mamoru was well and truly mad now.
Still as calm as she had been from the start the girl steps in closer to Mamoru so they are touching from hip to chest, shushing him as she brings her still free hand up to brush his face before he catches her by the forearm. "I cannot give you what you already hold in your hands…" the girl spreads her hands, still in his grip, as if to say 'here it is'.
Confusion pulls Mamoru out of his anger, Mamoru looks at the girl in front of him, pressed to him, he feels it down to his very core… The feeling of the Silver Millennium Crystal isn't just coming from her center like it would if she just possessed it, but from every inch, from every pore of her… as if she were the— "impossible." Mamoru breaths the words out in disbelief.
She smiles up at him as he's finally grasped it, "I took the form of my other half, Serenity, so that I can help protect this planet from the evil that has come, in a time when she is unable to do so."
"But you can't! it's impossible!" Mamoru's shaking his head, eyes wide.
"Why? I once had a form not made of crystal, one that was flesh and bone, one not so different from this."
"What?!"
"Did you think I came from nothing, or that I was always just a crystal that had such power, and someone just picked me up?" She had that same smile on her face full of disbelief, "No. But that is a story for another time…" The girl stepped away from Mamoru, pulling from his now slack hands. "What's important right now is protecting this plant from the Dark Moon. This bunch is very powerful, and more dangers then any that you and the Sailor Guardians have faced before. They were the ones that attacked the Princess."
"What! but how? Luna said no one had attacked!"
"They did not attack the Princess physically, but through her dreams, through her memories, I could not protect her, as in this memory I was not yet with her."
"What memory was it?" Mamoru asks bewildered.
"The fall of the Moon." The girl tells him flatly.
"Oh dear god…" The girl nods to Mamoru at his words, and he binds over leaning against the rails of the balcony bracing his hands on his knees. Mamoru can remember that night so clearly, it makes him sick to think about it, and suddenly he is so very tired, more then he had been before. A few minutes pass, then a few more before he looks up at— at the Silver Millennium Crystal… she has just stood quietly watching him as Mamoru collected himself. "Are… are you the reason Usako can't remember the years being Sailor Moon, or her past life as Serenity?"
The girl nods, "Yes, to take the Princess's form I had to take that part of her, and also to keep her safe… By— by taking that part of the Princess away from her, I am able to hide her away from the people of the Dark Moon. For now any way…"
"That's why before you said your name was 'in a way Serenity' because you have that part of her…" Mamoru says still trying to work it all out. "Even so I won't call you Serenity or Sailor Moon, and The Silver Millennium Crystal is a bit odd at the moment…"
"Then call me Millennium, it was once my sole name when I was flesh and bone, I do not see why it cannot serve once again, especially since it still follows me—"
"Are you saying the Millennium Moon Kingdom was named for you?"
"Well, yes, in a sense it was, although the Moon Kingdom was old, it was never so old as I, even as the Silver Millennium Crystal, and so it goes to reason that the younger was named for the elder… but again that is a story for another time, perhaps if I am here long enough I will share it with you... but I fear I will not be. I must rejoin with the Princess before the next full moon, 12 nights from this one, and we have much to do. For tonight though, you need rest."
"But—"
Millennium cut Mamoru off taking his hand, and pulling him inside the apartment, "There is nothing more to be done tonight, but for you to sleep. Tomorrow we will tell the others, and we will make plans."
Now that they where inside, and after everything that transpired that night, Mamoru realized he could barely keep his eyes open, and his limbs felt heavy. The warmth that traveled from the hand Millennium held, was flowing up his arm and through the rest of Mamoru's body, didn't help with the tiredness either. Between one blink and the next Millennium had Mamoru lying on his bed, and the blankets pulls up. She was setting beside Mamoru on the bed still holding his hand, and brushing the hair from his face.
"If you close your eyes the world will not fall to pieces, not tonight. Tomorrow we will speak with the Sailor Guardians, we will make plans, and we will send the Dark Moon away once again, and when all that is done Serenity and I will be whole once more." Millennium soothed, even as more of that blessed warmth flowed through Mamoru body. As Mamoru's eyes drifted closed, and sleep pulled him under Mamoru thought he heard Millennium say something else, but he couldn't quit grasp the words… And then Mamoru thought he felt familiar lips brushing his, but in the same heart beat Mamoru was asleep…
Millennium pulled away as soon as Endymion was asleep, going back out to the balcony to stare at the moon bright over head. She felt strange, she felt as if she was cracking, she was so much a part of Princess Serenity, more then she had been part of the Princess's mother, or her grandmother before, that being separate was draining… Millennium hoped she could last, as she had told Endymion, until the next full moon…
