"Goddang it, Minamoto! Why did he leave us without telling us?"
"Maybe he wants to be on his own?" I look down at Gaomon when the two of us are in some kind of village after we woke up in a train station from yesterday's incident.
As usual, the three of us slept on the bench, with me cuddling up with Gaomon in my arms while Koji was sitting next to me. Then, when the sun rises, Koji was nowhere to be found. Great. I exhale.
"I guess he does since he is, after all, a loner," I said while I take off my glasses to clean my lenses from all the pieces of dust. I put them back on and thought about Takuya and the rest. "Maybe we'll meet up with the rest of the Digidestined."
"Where were they when you and Koji head over to my village?" Gao asked me when the two of us began to walk around the village that fills with shops and restaurants.
"We've managed to meet up with half of them in Breezy Village," I explained. "My new friend, Zoe managed to get her spirit named Kazemon-"
"Lady Warrior of Wind?!" My canine friend exclaimed. "She and Akitamon are the most bestest friends before the War began."
"You seem to know everything about your Guardian, Gao," I said, seeing her praise in pride.
"Of course, thanks to Lord Gaogamon for telling us stories about her." She said with a grin, which it made me grin back. Not until the two of us heard an incident going on, with a restaurant right next to us.
"WHAT!? NO MONEY?!" Making myself jumped. "OUT!"
"WHOA! OOF!" It was Takuya and the gang, I didn't realize Bokomon and Neemon were outside.
"Please, come back...when you're not just a bunch of deadbeats!" A golden looking beetle Digimon scolded by the entrance.
"But, we're really hungry," Zoe said. "And we do have money," I watched her reached into her pocket and pull out her coin purse. "See? Right here," Obviously, human currency don't work in Digital World. The gold beetle just scoffed her off and closes his curtain.
"Geez, does every Digimon I've seen have to be so rude?" Causing the team to be curious when they look over and I wave at them. "Hi, guys."
"Amy!" Zoe laughed as she made her way over to me and gave me a hug. "It's good to see you." I giggled after I hug her back.
"You, too, Zo," I said when the two of us look up at the boys. "Hey, JP, Takuya," I look down at the little boy. "And you must be..."
"Tommy," He grins brightly. "It's nice to meet you, Amy."
"You, too, kiddo."
"Hey, Amy, who's that with you?" I heard Takuya when I look over at Gaomon.
"This is my Digimon partner and new friend, Gaomon, Gaomon, these guys are the Digidestined." I introduced everyone to her.
"Hi, nice to meet you guys." She greeted with Bokomon walking up to her.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Gaomon, tell me, young one, how's your Master doing?" Bokomon knew Gaogamon?
"He's doing very well, Bokomon," She said. "Thank you for asking."
"What did Bokomon meant by Master?" JP asked me.
"It's a long story, all you guys have to know that I gotten myself-" Not until my stomach decides to ruin the moment after I hug it. "Oh, crap, I haven't eaten anything since we've left the Gaomon Village." Even the team groaned after they landed on their knees. Oh, yeah, they're also hungry.
"We're still hungry," Zoe whimpered.
"Yeah, we gotta eat something," Takuya said.
"Anything." Tommy said while JP is busy wailing.
"We should've gone with Koji, instead." Gaomon said while I bonked her on the head. "Ow, what?" Not until I notice something blue and bold lettering up ahead.
"Hey, look at that." I point to it for everyone to see and since I'm wearing glasses, I can be able to read what it said. "Heroes Wanted? All your meals for free?"
"Rock Solid!"
"Well, I'm brave enough to eat!" All of the sudden, Gao and I manage to get the two Digimon out of the way from being trampled since the team went over to the sign, then the four of us went after them.
As soon we got there, Gaomon gasped at the sight of a group of...
"They're the KarastukiNumemon." Seeing them look so happy. I wonder why?

"This is gotta be the most dangerous plan they come up with."
"Well, Ames, either starve to death or help these guys out?" I look over at the goggle head.
"Did you just call me Ames?" That's when we hear a train coming. "Ah, here comes the train."
"Duh."
"Um, shouldn't we hide?" I hear the train is getting close when we did.
"I wish I knew what these guys wanted us to do." I hear Takuya while I roll my eyes. Even I knew that before we agreed to help out.
"Relax, I'm sure they have a good plan," That was from Zo, which it made me roll my eyes even more, then all of the sudden...
"Wahhh!" The snails had tied a rope to the mine cart we're in and the Trailmon dragged us out of the bushes after it strode by and took us into a tunnel with torches being lit up.
I have now, Wanyamon in my arms since well, since the mine cart is small, I had no choice, but Takuya offered that I should sit on his lap and well, to be honest? It's getting awkward since I barely know the guy.
"I hope all their plans aren't as crazy as this one," He said.
"You and me both." I tell him when the snails came over to us and began to explain.
"One day, a mean creature named Grumblemon attacked, we're peaceful, we can't fight him by ourselves." The leader said, making me and Takuya to nod for understanding.
"He demanded our mountain's Fractal Code," That was from the second one. "And we told him we don't even know where it is, but he thinks we're lying, so that's we need you heroes." I jumped at the sound of Trailmon, causing myself to fall back to Takuya, felt his arms around my waist.
I glance up at him and met his gaze, then he notice the gesture as he freed his arms. "Uh, sorry, Amy."
"It-it's okay," I sat up, feeling a faint blush coming along while I clear my throat. "Let me guess this straight: Grumblemon is demanding you guys to give him the Fractal Code and you have no idea where it is?" The snails shakes their heads. "How come?"
"The Digital World is made of data," That was from my girl when we all look up at her on Bokomon's head. "It's practically everything."
"She's right," Bokomon cuts in. "Only some places the Code is out in the open and in some places, it's hidden. Try to remember that."
"I'm afraid there's more of our story to tell," The third one said. "Grumblemon took all of our women to trade for the mountain's Fractal Code."
"That's horrible."
"Man, guys can be jerks sometimes," Zoe said. "So, that's why you wanted our help? To save your women?"
"Yes," The leader said with a nod.
"Just leave everything to us," JP said in determination.
"We are in your debt, heroes." The snails bowed. That's when Wanyamon decided jump back to my arms and look up at me, being scared.
"What is it, girl?" I asked.
"That." She points her tail up front when I look up and gasped in shock!
"Hold up! Are you guys taking us to ride through that?!" The rail tracks are like the tracks from a roller coaster amusement park. "In this stupid mine cart?!" Even everyone began to cry out.
"Are you snails INSANE?!" Takuya screamed, along with everyone when we began to go through the loops and obstacles while we tried to hold on from falling off. Wanyamon held close to my head with her tail around my neck, so she won't fall off.
"At least, this track is slowing down!" Takuya shouted when we went up hill.
"Slowing down?! We're speeding up!" I shouted. "Just how the hell this thing stays on the track?!"
"Actually, I don't think it is." We all screamed and then...
CRASHING!
"Well, that wasn't so bad."
"What's your definition of bad?!"
"Falling off this cliff!"
"Cliff?!" It's a good thing another track became like a fence for us to hold on after the crash.
"Come on, heroes, what are you all waiting for?" I heard the leader when we look up at him and his friends.
"Are you kidding me?! JP snapped. "Sticking to the side of the mountain may be easy for you guys, but one slip and we're gravel pancakes!" Everyone look back down, hearing them crying in fright.
"Just how do you propose we get up to you? We can't cling to wall!" All of the sudden, the ladder landed in between Takuya and Zoe, causing the duo to scream while I began to stand up.
"Come on, guys, let's get moving." I said while Takuya began to climb up first, then Tommy and the two Digimon followed pursuit while I did the same with Wanyamon on my head.
While we're going up, I heard JP and Zoe talking, hearing JP saying 'Ladies' first,' but, knowing the idiot, he completely forgot one thing about our Wind Warrior. I heard Zoe telling him that she's wearing a skirt, which of course, this cause JP to stammer and trying to defend himself while Zoe snapped at him, more like calling him a name that I don't want to repeat and then...
SMACK!
Yeah, that.
"Thank goodness I'm wearing pants." I murmured as I continue climbing.
Within few minutes, the Karastukis are encouraging us to keep going, to the house they climbed in with Takuya following them. But, Tommy and I notice something inside the house. There's a shadow figure by the window. Not only that, I sense a familiar warm tingle on my spine. That means...
"Hey, wait!" I heard Tommy when the three of us heard Takuya yelped, then...
"You're here?" The rest of us climb all the way in, climbing over to the door and my eyes landed on familiar wolf boy.
"You're the people these guys are found to help out?" His blue eyes landed on me, seeing them look a bit relief. "Haruno."
"Hiya, wolf boy," I waved.
"Yeah, none of us could find any food, either." Takuya said.
"Hey, don't lump me in with you guys," Koji look over at the snails. "These kids aren't going to be able to help you at all."
"I'll help you right upside the head." Takuya growled.
"At least, give us a chance." Tommy said.
"Thanks, but no thanks, I mean, look at you." There he goes. "The only thing you guys do is get in my way, can I help it if you're not up to my level?" I began to climb over and then, slide against the wall to be with him, with Wanyamon landing on his head and me bumping into him. "Hey."
"Hey." I greeted with a small grin.
"The only one who would be willing to help is my friend here," Koji points his thumb at me. "While the rest of you are pretty much useless." I rolled my eyes.
"Watch it, stick boy or I'll-" Goggle head was cut off by the leader.
"Gentlemen, please," We all look over at him. "My thanks is to all of you for coming to help and now, it's time to eat."
"All right, time to chow down!" Uh-oh. I manage to get Koji out of the way when the team are so dumb, they didn't realize that they fell off the door. "Wahhh!" Me, obviously...
"Haruno!" Koji called out.
"Are you guys okay?" Wanyamon asked while the rest of us groaned.
"Now I feel your pain, Minamoto." I groaned since I'm on the bottom, hearing JP about food.

About few minutes in, the Karastukis gave us colorful cabbages in the pile, which it made the team stunned.
"Is that what I think it is?" Takuya asked.
"I don't know," JP whined. "Looks like rabbit food."
"Well, at least rabbits get to eat." Zo said as she grabs a red one in her hands. "Here goes nothing." She took a bite and beamed a smile. "Molto bono, dig in, tastes like steak." The boys were confused while I took a red one myself and took a bite, as well.
"Mm, she's right, it does taste like steak, try it, boys." And they did, hearing them exclaimed in excitement.
"Mine tastes like chicken."
"Mine tastes like potato."
"Mine's just like asparagus." I giggled at the team's reaction to Takuya's answer. I look over at my fellow classmate, seeing him has his own cabbages with now, Gaomon by his side since I told her to go sit with him.
He notice me staring at him as he glance over and I grin at him while I heard Takuya asked a question.
"He fell from the sky."
"He WHAT?!" I snapped after I look back at the duo.
"He fell." I could've sworn I hear him snickering a bit, at my reaction. That jerk.

"Grumblemon has the captives in a cave," Koji explained when all of us gathered after dinner and looking into the map. "It's right about...here. We'll have to get in and out quickly." We all heard the males whined for their women.
"Just relax," JP smiled, seeing the snails smiled back. "Have no fear, leave everything to us, Legendary Warriors." He gloated, causing the snails to get scared as they backed away from us.
What in the world? I thought. I glance over at Gaomon and she thought the same thing.
"You mean, all of you...are Legendary Warriors?" The leader asked in fear.
"Yeah, in the flesh." Takuya said with a smile, seeing the snails have gathered and began to whisper. I grab Gaomon and held her in my arms.
"Gaomon, when we go to sleep," I whispered. "Try to sneak out and stay hidden, so I can call you out for anything suspicious." She nodded while we heard the leader mentioning for all of us to go to sleep while Takuya said we should go rescue the females.
I got a bad feeling about this.
Afterwards, all of us are sleeping on the leaves that the males provided us since the beds are on the ceiling. Well, except me and the two boys since I'm sleeping next to my classmate with his back facing me.
"What?" I hear Koji.
"Hey, you know, I didn't like you at first," I hear Takuya. "But, you're all right, helping out the Karastukis and all." I watch Koji roll over with his eyes closed.
"They helped me first, but don't think I'll help you." He said, hearing Takuya growled, hearing him turning away as well.
"Just what does Amy see in you, anyway?" I heard him mumble, causing myself to blush a bit. I just look away and went to sleep.
Not until I hear Zoe and JP's voices when I began to wake up and then...
"What the hell?!" I saw a giant ditch beneath while I notice I've been tied up and seeing the team are also dangling for their doom.
"What are you doing?!" I heard Koji since he's right next to me with the two of us glaring up at the stupid snails.
"We'll give you back your partner, in exchange for our women." The leader glared.
"You dirty sneaks, is that why you brought us here?" Takuya scolded.
"Hm," The leader shaken his head. "I think it is you who are the dirty sneaks, pretending to be caring, helpful strangers when you're really Legendary Warriors."
"I don't understand, what's wrong with that?" Zoe called out.
"The time for your games and lies are over," The leader stated. "Soon, you'll be back with your ally."
"Just what the hell are you talking about?!" I snapped. "What ally?"
"Don't play dumb, we know you're in the league with Grumblemon."
"WHAT?!" We all shouted when we heard a loud crash besides me, causing myself to move my head when I've felt something sharp across my cheek.
"Ow!" I whimpered. It was a sharp rock flew out.
"Haruno, are you okay?" I heard Koji when my spine felt a strong, yet cold shiver.
"Give me Fractal Code or bad things be happen," Someone said with a gruff voice.
"Oh, yeah, says who?" Really, Takuya?
"Be me and you say me, too, once you know who I am," Then, the figure appears into the light, who appears as a garden gnome. "You call me, Grumblemon." I gasped at the sight of of his symbol on his waist.
"No way, he's also a Legendary Warrior?!" I cried out.
"I didn't know there were bad Legendary Warriors," I heard Bokomon.
"Why for human yos-yos?" Grumblemon asked, pointing at us.
"Grumblemon, if you want to save your allies, give us back our women, now!" The leader threatened as he and his buddies held knives to the ropes.
"Those knives are a little close there," JP whimpered, causing the rest, besides me and Koji, to panic.
"What, so?" The gnome stated. "Me no care what happen to weak human things." The snails shared a look and inched the knives closer.
"Gaomon!" I called out for my partner, seeing her came out of hiding and gets ready.
"One more step and you guys are in for a pounding," She scolded while the males back away from her, hearing the team felt relieved.
"A Gaomon?" I heard the gnome gasped when I look back at him. Meeting his gaze when I've felt the same tingle few minutes ago. "Me think somebody got their hands on some Spirits," He smirked. "Especially the Spirit of Lady Akitamon." What? "They shouldn't have, now I to put my hands on you and take them back."
I watched him pulled a metal hammer from the ground, with spikes on them, hearing the team began to panic some more.
"Gaomon, get ready!" I shouted.
"Wait, what's going on here?! You mean, you're not really allies?!" The stupid leader realized.
"That's what we've been trying to tell you!" Tommy shouted when...
"Watch out!" I called out when Grumblemon swung his hammer, at us! "Move!" All of us managed to get out of the way and I was the first one to fall off. "Ahhh!"
"Amy!" I quickly untie my rope and quickly spirit evolve.
"Execute! Spirit Evolution! Akitamon!"
"Ohhh!" Everyone was in awe, except for Koji and Gaomon.
"Is that Amy?" Tommy asked.
"You look so pretty." Zoe complimented me while I grin. But, I gotten serious when I glare at one particular Warrior.
"Grumblemon." I growled, seeing him smirk some more.
"Lady Akitamon." He chuckled and the fight starts when I tackle him down, hearing Gaomon and Koji calling out when the two of us fought.
Grumblemon swung his hammer again, but I manage to get away when the hammer slammed on the floor, causing the two of us to fall into another sideway house as I tried to punch him out with my Hand Of Trust, but knowing him, he managed to counter it by swinging his hammer at me.
"Whoa!" I move away, but his hammer met my back. "Ahh!" I fell down to the floor again and then, the hammer slammed there, too, with me falling into the ditch. "Whoa!" I manage to catch the edge of the floor since I can't move my wings for me to fly. "Damn it!"
I watched Grumblemon stood in front of me as I gasped, seeing him lift his hammer up and then...
"Careful, you don't want to hurt someone with this." Is that...JP? I watched the Beetle Warrior taken the gnome out to the door with Lobomon and Kazemon and a little bear Warrior looking down at me.
"Take my hand, Akitamon." Lobomon offered, grabbing his hand and pull me up.
"Thanks, Lobo," I tell him and I wince at the horrible sting on my back. "Ow, I don't think I'll be able to fly at the moment." I look up at Kazemon and the little bear. "You two, get to the cave and free the captives, Lobomon and I would handle Grumblemon, please?" The two nodded.
"You got it, Akitamon." The little bear said, sounding like Tommy as Kazemon grabs him and flew out. Lobomon helped me up to stand.
"You okay to fight?" I look up at him and smirked.
"Duh." He chuckles a bit, then the two of us jump out, meeting up with Agunimon and the Beetle Warrior, who I learned from the spirit herself is Beetlemon. We notice that the duo look confuse and searching.
"What's wrong?"
"We don't know where Grumblemon is," Agunimon answered.
"You don't know?!" Wolf boy growled when a hammer appeared from the side of the mountain, with Grumblemon coming out and Lobomon held out his laser at him, but Agunimon was an idiot, he jumped in. "Are you trying to get shot?!"
I jumped in and get him out of the way, but Grumblemon manage to hit me, on my back, again! "Ahhh!"
"Akitamon." Agunimon manage to catch me after he caught himself on the ladder, holding me close to him. "Are you okay?" I whimpered.
"Peachy," I winced, hearing Beetlemon and Lobomon are fighting off the gnome. I held my hand out, but I can't get a clear shot to release my beam. Beetlemon is in the way and Lobomon is searching for the gnome when...
"Peek-a-boo!" I gasped at the sight of my friend being hit by the hammer.
"Lobo!" I quickly flew in and caught him. "Gotcha!" I quickly put him join with Agunimon after I fell in. "Eep!"
"Gotcha!" Lobomon caught my hand, then pull me up to him. "I got you, Akita."
"Thanks, Lobo." Not until we heard a thunder rumble and it began to pour. "Oh, great."
"Careful, it's slick," I heard Neemon when I saw him, Bokomon and Gaomon on the fence above us.
"You don't have to tell us," Agunimon said while Beetlemon flew in, staring at the mountain.
"Whoa, look at that," He said, seeing the mountain became a mud slide. "All that rain is tumbling down the mountain like...wait a sec, that gives me an idea." He said as he gets ready, searching for the gnome. "Grumblemon, where are you, ya 'fraidy cat?" He called out while I search for Grumblemon.
Then, I saw him burst out of the mountain, aiming his hammer at Beetlemon from behind. "Beetle, behind you!"
He manage to get out of the way and the gnome missed him while he began to release his attack. "Thunder Fist!"
The attack hit directly towards the mountain, but nothing happening, hearing the gnome calling my friend a dork when I heard a rumble sound. I look up and...
"Ahhh!" He cried out when another mud slide came in and send the gnome down to the ditch.
"Nice job," Agunimon said.
"Good work, Beetlemon," I complimented when he came in and I gave him a high five.
"Thanks." He said when Kazemon and the little bear, Kumamon came in.
"But, where are the captives?" I forgot that Lobomon is still holding me, which it made me faintly blush.
"There." Kumamon pointed out when we look and saw both genders have reunited on a peak of the mountain, hearing them being so happy of being together again.
"Boy, it sure must be nice to get back to your family," I heard Beetlemon when me and Lobomon look at each other at that. Reminding myself of what I said at the flower shop that first day.
"Brr!" I shivered, causing myself to get closer to Lobomon.
"You okay?" I heard him say when I've felt a powerful goosebump down to my spine, hearing myself wince from my injury when the two of us notice a bright light as we look over and I gasp at the sight.
"Is that what I think it is?"
"It's the mountain's Fractal Code," Kazemon answered, not until the gnome decided to appear. "Oh, no, Grumblemon!" I let out a growl.
"Look like I find what I want anyway," He chuckles after he jumped to land on the ledge. "And thank you, I never find without you," He held up a totem that made me feel so cold, feeling Lobomon held me close. "Now get rid of you."
"What's he holding?" I asked, more like shivering. We watched the gnome began to transform, hearing him saying 'Beast Spirit Evolution,' feeling my body so cold, it's making my back injury even worse.
"Gigasmon!" All of us gasped at the sight, he became half rhino Digimon. He used his attack called Quagmire Twister, spinning himself at us while Kazemon and Beetlemon manage to get out of the way and the rest of us began to fall.
I manage to fly away while I caught my girl and the duo with Bokomon and Neemon while Kumamon manage to save the guys. I quickly made my way over to them, by sitting down since I'm still injured.
"Lady Akitamon, don't force yourself," Gaomon tell me while I glare up at the rhino Beast, who went back as Grumblemon.
"That it? That best you do with Spirits?" I growled. "Even make pathetic look good." He insulted when he began to digivolve again. "Execute! Beast Spirit Evolution!" He went back as the rhino Beast.
"Wait a minute, what's going on?" Agunimon called out.
"Grumblemon has two evolutions," I said, fighting off the shivering I've been getting when he's Gigasmon. I shake it off and flew in to fight, but my dumb self, I fall in to the ditch. "Ahhh!"
"Akitamon!" I heard the team when I manage to catch a ledge.
"Unh! Oof!" I groaned when I heard Gaomon shouting.
"The Fractal Code!" I look up and Gigasmon have taken the data. Causing the mountain's village to collapsed. Not only that, so did everyone else when we began to split up.
I ended up with Tommy and the boys while we went back to ourselves and manage to catch kiddo in my arms. Wherever we're going, I have a feeling that the Digital World is in much danger than I thought.
