Chapter 3: Fear Itself Is Killing
Elrond sat in his room, numb from the entire event; Princeling Legolas was missing somewhere in his land, and he was concerned about Estel. He seemed unconcerned that his friend was missing.
Something was wrong, and he knew he needed to find out what that was before it was too late.
He stared out the window and sighed. He did not know if he should send a massage to his friend, King Thranduil, or not.
He rose to his feet, and decided that maybe all he needed was some fresh air to ease the dreadful thoughts away.

Estel's room...
Estel smiled as he ate the piece of lembas in front of Legolas. He ate it noisily, wanting him to hear as he chewed the bread.
"Remember you only have one good answer, you need two to eat what will be left for you." Estel smirked..
Legolas could not see the smirk, though he could felt it in Estel's voice.
"You have to name at least two things that Lord Glorfindel hates the most. He was with you in Mirkwood; you must have seen something that he hates..."
Legolas tried hard to think of his time with Glorfindel in Mirkwood. "I can assume that he did not love your behavior to him, that is one, and the other, I think that your Adar might be getting him on the edge sometimes..."
"Correct answer; you still have another question to go." Estel smiled, wondering how Legolas knew the answer.
Legolas nodded, wishing that he could see the nature again. He missed the fresh air touching his face and he missed the song of the birds singing to him. Missed seeing the blooming of the nature as he walked by it, and mostly he missed his Adar. He missed the feeling of love, as all he got since he came to Imladris was hate.
"One last question, if you know, you will get your reward, if not, I am not responsible for what will happen next," Estel warned and continued, "What is my Adar's favorite game?"
'Where did that come from?' Legolas asked himself, as he did not know the answer.
How in the name of the Valar he should know the answer for that, as he barely come to Imladris, so how would he know the answer for it?
"I am waiting…" Estel called, waiting for his sweet triumph over the elfling.
"I… I do not know… saes…" Legolas replied weakly, "I barely got to know… that he played games…I am not in your home every… everyday, and I do not know what your Ada's favorite game would be."
"It means that you need to come more often, not to be in your homeland with your Ada all the time," Estel bursts, his eyes sparkled, as he continued, "I am your friend. Your Ada is not your friend, I am!"
Princeling Legolas took one-step backwards from Estel blindly, as he feared him. Legolas was confused. He used to thin of Estel as his friend, but now all he wanted was his ada.
Legolas was glad he was blindfolded, so Estel could not see the fear behind his crystal blue eyes.
Estel took the piece of the elven bread and started chewing it loudly, making the elfling hold his hands around his growling belly.
"Saes…" Legolas asked.
"Be quiet!" Estel commanded him, as he thought that he heard something outside.
Legolas became quiet right away.
Estel walked over and leaned his ear against the door. He listened carefully; he did not want anyone to find Legolas in his room.
Then there was a knock on the door.
Estel swallowed hard, and Legolas prayed to the Valar that he would be safe soon.
"Estel," he recognized his Adar's voice, and then he noticed as the knob moving and forgot that he locked the door. "Estel, my child, why is the door locked?"
Estel swallowed again, and then he started to act. He walked towards the bed, found torn clothes, and walked over to a shaking Legolas.
He gagged Legolas with the clothes and moved his to slide under his bed. Before he walked to open the door, he whispered to Legolas, "Do not try to do anything, if you do, you will never see the nature, or your Ada again, only me, your mellon-nin!"
He unlocked the door and let his Adar enter his messy room.
"Ada… what is wrong? Have you found him?" Estel asked.
"They are still searching for him…" Elrond only replied, as he scanned the room. There seem to be something wrong, something in the air, but Elrond could not figure out what it was.
"Estel, what is that light?" Elrond asked as he walked over the bed, ready to kneel and see what it was.
"It must be broken glass that I forgot to clean, and do not forget of how the glass affect with the sun…"
"You became wise, Estel… I am proud of you." Elrond said with a large smile, turning his back over the bed.
Estel smiled an evil grin as his Adar clasps his shoulder like a man.
Legolas kept praying though for the Valar, calling for aid, calling for his Adar in his mind to come and help him. But help did not come, leaving him like this in the darkness below the bed, starved, and hoping he would get some food soon.
-LOTR-
While in the forest…
Lord Glorfindel and the twins searched and searched, but came up with nothing.
There was not even a dead or wounded animal out there. Something was wrong.
They could felt it in the air; dread itself could slice the quiet, faster.
There was nothing for them to do in the forest, but they hoped that evil had not come from afar. They hoped that Legolas was not kidnapped by Sauron's creatures.
End of Chapter 3.
