An hour had passed since Kurogane locked the cat in her little prison and left the carrier dangling from the rail in the laundry room closet. Some cats would meow loudly and try to get out of the carrier if they were in Mokona's predicament but when has Mokona ever done what other cats do? She was swinging in her carrier to and fro and singing (Meowing) loudly in delight.

"Back and Forth, Back and forth

Up so high, in the sky.

Back and forth, Back and Forth,

Like a bird, see me Flyyyyy"

Upstairs on the roof, Kurogane's eye twitched. He had an inkling that the punishment wasn't going that well but seriously he could care less. He focused on the article about the Minister of Defense Seishiro Sakurazuka. Apparently the man had been spotted with the popular Ballerina (Well Principal dancer in ballet but what is the difference?) Subaru Sumeregi. He had met Sakurazuka once and the only word he could come up with to describe the man would be disturbing. He has a sweet demeanor and a flowery aura at one moment and then a sudden evil smirk and a dark and ghoulish aura in the very next one; he is just very, very upsetting and disturbing. It's as if he walked out of an anime in which he was a veterinarian who shows concern to a pair of twins and gets romantically involved with the boy so there he is, all nice and sweet and then all of sudden, wham he stabs the sister and tries to kill the brother.

Anyway it looks like the man is dating the ballerina. Kurogane felt sorry for the boy. That kid was certainly driving at 230 km/h to danger. Well he is an adult. He certainly knows what is good for him and not. He turned the page and found his eyes drawn to an article which made his eyebrows narrow.

'Young boy staying in the Kudo 'Kaze' Hospital kidnapped.'

'Kohaku Tenshi, age 19 has been found missing from his ward in The Kaze hospital belonging to the Kudo group of companies. Dr. Shuichiro Kudo, Chief of the hospital had this to say "He was an innocent young man who never hurt a single soul. He has to be found as quickly as possible. We have already informed the police and they have assured us they are doing their best to find him." The hospital refused to disclose personal information on the young man however they did say that Tenshi-san was in his ward at 1 am when a nurse checked on him. However at 4 am when the nurse returned as per normal routine, he was found missing. A note was found lying on the table but it has been handed over to the police and the hospital authorities have not been granted permission to say what it contained.'

Kurogane's eyes widened. Kidnapped from a hospital? Who could have done it? Who could even think of doing such a thing? He kept the newspaper aside and pulled his phone out. He had to call Fuuma, the Deputy Superintendant General would certainly know what this was about.

But before he could do so he heard someone step onto the roof. He turned and found himself frowning at Fai who was smiling. What was up with all the smiling business?

"Kuro-cutie, lunch is ready. Come and eat."

Kurogane ignored the blonde and dialed Fuuma's number. Fai sighed and pulled the phone out of his boyfriend's grasp.

Kurogane stared at his empty palm for a second before twisting his head to the side and glaring daggers at the blonde who vanished gracefully down the window. He was going to have a long talk with the mage after his bloody parents leave the house but before that he needed his phone back. He stood up and rolled the newspaper which he then tucked into his pant pocket and without any grace what so ever he leaped down the window and stomped to the dining table.

"You bloody mage, give me my phone back!" Kurogane yelled.

"Politeness of a sage." Toya said to himself as the tall muscular man entered the kitchen and searched intensely.

Fai came back and smiled. "Oh my, Kuro-chan you came so fast." he placed a dish of Yakitori and took his seat.

"Sit down, Kuro- pipi."

Kuro glared. That mage was going to be the death of him.

"Yes Kuro-kun. Take a seat."

Yukito smiled as he placed the rice dish on the table and sat next to Toya. Kurogane saw Toya's hand disappear off the table and a blush creep up on Yukito's face. Oh god please let them be holding hands. Please.

"So Kurogane did you stay back from work to spend time with us?" Toya asked as he fiddled the rice with his chopsticks.

Kuro smirked. As if. "Clow thought I was over working so he wanted me to take a leave."

"Who is Clow?"

"Clow Reed, the Superintendent General of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police force."

Yukito smiled. "…Clow Reed you say?"

Kurogane nodded and ate a piece of chicken and when he looked up, was quite surprised to see Toya frowning.

"You work under him?"

Kuro nodded and saw the frown deepen. What was that about?

"So how are your jobs?" Yukito asked changing the subject which in turn made Kuro even more curious. What was up with these two and Clow? Maybe he could sneak in a mention of them to Clow and see if he gets any reaction from the ever smiling general(who could be even more infuriating than Seishiro and that's a remarkable feat).

"Good." Fai replied, "Kuro was promoted to Chief Superintendant recently. Kamui got his previous post and I was promoted to Superintendant."

"That's great. So Kuro-kun we should celebrate it. Maybe an outing?"

"Why not some good quality sake. I haven't had one in ages." Toya said as he helped himself to a piece of chicken.

"Oh that would be great. I love sake." Fai grinned.

Kuro should have paid attention to the conversation between father and son. However he was too engrossed with the whole Clow thing and plus being an expert at selective hearing, he had ignored the conversation as soon as Toya said 'why'. This turned out to be quite the mistake seven hour later when-

"I drank thirteen glasses. You can't dream of beating me now."

Fai stuck his tongue out to his dad before pouting. "I can and I-hic- will. Kurgs pour me-hic- another glass of-hic-sake."

Kurogane opened his mouth to protest. Fai was drunk but not that drunk enough to not know that his boyfriend will refuse. So he did what he did best. No he didn't pout. He crashed his lips on Kuro's own and played with his boyfriend's tongue. Kurogane doesn't blush often. That is a fact but here in the living room with his boyfriend making out with him while his parents were looking on, he just couldn't help it. He slowly reddened. He pushed the drunk blond off of him and walked over to the kitchen.

That was embarrassing. What was the blond thinking?

Not much really. Fai grabbed the bottle and poured himself another glass. "I will-hic-win."

Kurogane sighed. Yeah right. He filled a glass of water. Fai seemed to have a bad case of hiccups. Not that surprising since he drank eleven glasses of sake. Anymore and he could be a keg of sake.

Yukito ruffled his son's hair. "Are you sure, sweetheart?"

Fai nodded his head vigorously. Yukito smiled at his son's cuteness and poured a glass of water. "Then have this first."

Kurogane looked at the scene unfolding in the living room. His hand tightened around the glass of water he had poured to give his idiot boyfriend. He could feel himself get a little angry. He tried to push that feeling away but failed. As he saw Yukito gently stroke Fai's hair while the latter sipped water, he felt the anger grow. He turned and poured the water into the sink. Looking at the water flow down the drain, the man finally thought properly. He shook his head. It didn't make any sense. Yukito was Fai's father and parents are usually caring and attend to their children's needs so why did he get angry?

He opened the tap and washed his face. He really needed to be a little more mature. He wiped his face and listened to the chatter in the living room. It seemed to be nothing much. Just nonsense. The usual.

"There I drank twelve glasses Oto-san. I can beat you."

"Oh yeah. I can drink another ten."

"Toya." Yukito said sternly. His partner shrugged before guzzling down another glass of sake.

"So tell me Fai. Does What's his name, get any more boring than this. The sober horror didn't even take a sip of his sake."

Kurogane stopped wiping and glared at the man who was slumped on the chair. Sober horror? How dare he?

"Kuro-chama isn't boring and he isn't always sober." Fai argued. Kurogane stopped glaring and was quite stunned. For the first time since the parents arrived. Fai actually took his side- a small smile grew on his face- that actually felt quite nice.

However Kuro's eyes widened and he raced to the living room when Fai continued, "Do you know my chama and I met in a bar. I seduced him into taking me to a bedroom and then he scr-"

Kurogane clamped his hand around Fai's mouth. Damn. That was close. He looked at Toya who was too drunk to say anything (Which was brilliant) however Yukito was blinking quite rapidly.

"Uhm." He coughed finally trying to get rid of the awkwardness.

Kurogane wanted to tell something to try and appease Yukito. After all out of the two, he was the one who was nice to him. But his voice failed him and only a grunt came out.

The father and son's boyfriend pair just looked at each other silently until the other dad ungracefully butted in.

"Yuki is mine. So quit staring at him." Toya said with a frown. He tried to stand up but his knees couldn't support his weight so he fell. Well nearly fell as Yukito held him and pulled him up.

"I think you're done for the night, Toya." The shorter man said with an affectionate smile as the other's eyelids closed. It was time to leave. They had taken too long.

"Kuro-kun, I will see you tomorrow then. Arigatou Gozaimasu." He walked towards the door but he stopped when he heard Kuro say. "Look it's quite late. How about you stay here for the night and that could stay too. Our guest room is free. And I am sure if Fai was more coherent and less drunk he would have insisted you stay as well."

Yukito turned and looked at Kurogane. His smile grew gentle as his eyes crinkled around the corner. "You don't mind? Even though I am sure we troubled you."

Kurogane gently carried Fai to the chair. The blond had fallen asleep too. Not that surprising really. It was quite common for him to do something horrendous and then escape leaving Kuro to clean the mess up. Actually, way too common.

He pushed a few strands of hair away from Fai's face and looked at Yukito. "You never troubled me. It was all that one's doing" he shifted his gaze to Toya who was now snoring, "but you two are his parents and that means something to me. So I can't just send you two out at night especially with the rate of crime in this city steadily increasing. So stay."

Yukito smiled softly. "Arigatou gozaimasu Kuro-kun."

Kurogane walked over and showed him the guest room. It was a simple room, adequately furnished. Yukito smiled gratefully as Kuro left him and walked over to the living room.

The latter gently carried Fai and walked to their bedroom. Placing him on the bed, Kuro just watched him sleep. He looked angelic while he slept, a stark difference to his mischievous self. He caressed his cheek and then kissed his forehead. Fai was his everything and if he had to bear with the parents-well correction- parent for another day. Then fine he will do so. However if there is a way he can reduce the time he is forced to spend with the douchebag Toya, it would be more bearable.

He sat up and tried to think of a plan until one came to him when he spotted his phone lying on the dressing table. He smiled as he took it and dialed a familiar number.

The dial tone began and dragged on for some time before a voice spoke up. "Hello Mr. Grumpy, what can I do for you?"

"It's Kurogane you fool."

"Be more polite. I am your superior."

"Look Fuuma first, cut the crap. Second, I want to come back to work."

"…You are a lost cause Kurgs. You are never going to learn politeness."

"Whatever. I am coming in tomorrow."

"Fine. Bring Fai along too…there is something I want to say to you two."

That night further away in Shibuya district. Young Kazahaya Kudo and his boyfriend Rikuo Himura walked out of a night club in Dogen-zaka.

Kazahaya feeling a bit cold pulled his jacket on tighter. For a while now he had the feeling he was being watched and it made him uneasy. He held onto Rikuo's hand tightly. The latter smiled affectionately at the younger teen and spotting a vending machine nearby, told Kazahaya to wait for a minute while he got some warm tea. Though feeling edgy, Kazahaya agreed. After all he had done some judo when he was younger and therefore could defend himself. But seeing Rikuo's back turned towards him as he walked further and further away, his uneasiness grew.

When Rikuo returned holding two cups of steaming hot green tea, he saw a letter lying on the ground, held down by a watch. Kazahaya's watch. And Kazahaya was nowhere to be seen.
