This is a long chapter fans. I actually wrote it in February, but, hey, still. So many plot twists! I expected NONE of this.

Chapter four- Maria
My cheek is bloody. That's the first thing I realize when I wake up My left cheek is bloody and buried in the mud, I'm thirsty, I'm tired, I miss Leo and its cold. Its like, really, really cold, Khione no doubt, or one of her ice minions. I groan a little.
"L-leo?"
"Nope. Carter Lewis actually." A new voice says, pulling me into a sitting position . I noticed two things, one Carter Lewis was extremely attractive, and two, even though it was freezing when he touched me I felt even colder.
"Who'e you?" I shivered, becoming overwhelmed with dizziness. He smiled reassuringly.
"A friend. Just, a really good friend."
"Do I remember you?" I asked, confused.
"No, but I'm your boyfriend." He kissed me, his lips icy cold.
"But, I thought, Leo..."
"Cheating fire summoning scum..." He muttered, sounding passionately angry.
"When you ran away he dumped you, for a girl named, what was it again? Ah, hyes, Emma." Emma. daughter of Athena. She'd had a crush on Leo since we'd been dating. Leo dumped me?! I feel dizzier tan ever. Carter continues.
"We've been dating for about three weeks, but we were attacked by monsters. You hit your head so you probably don't remember me."
"No, no I don't. Tell me about us." I Leo abandoned me for Emma then I would allow myself to have an Us with this mysterious Carter.
"when I found you you were close to dead, and even when you were scared and hurt I realized how beautiful and amazing you are. I rushed to help you. You told me you didn't want to go back to camp and I said okay. I Iris messaged Leo but he was with Emma so I ended it before he saw me." I realized something.
"Khione-" I mumble, remembering.
"She has so much power now... Carter..." He kissed me again, and smiled, but the smile was more icy than reassuring.
"Baby, with all the monsters after us, Khione is the least of your worries. But don't worry, we're going somewhere safe."
'You're a demigod?""Yeah, unclaimed."
"Where's safe?" Each word was pained, and I realized the cut on my cheek was infected. Carter must have noticed that too because he helped me stand and held my hand, squeezing it a little.
"No worries baby. We're going to my dad's house, we'll be there soon. Don't worry."
Later that night I was lying in a bed listening to Carter and his father argue.
"Your mother hates this girl."
"Well maybe I'm leading her into a trap."
"I saw the way you looked at her."
"So she's pretty, I don't like like her..."
"Carter, that's not true." I stood to leave, realization striking. Then I screamed and fell to the ground I think he poisoned me...
Okay, so not that long, but still... Oh my goodness guys, this is going to end up being SO adorable!
