"Welcome Rangers, my name is Alala," the floating sphere pulsed in what can be interpreted as a happy rhythm.

The other teens with the exception of Anthony gaped at Alala's form.

"You're a…" Kyle searched for the right description.

"A talking, glowing ball of light with a misleading voice, right?" Alala finished for him, with what sounded like a smirk in its voice.

Then a bright light filled the room before disappearing, revealing a young woman with pale skin, snow white hair and menacing red eyes. A white dress obscured her form and a golden circlet could be seen around her head. A white, ethereal glow surrounded her body.

"Is this better?" Alala spoke again, her voice now possessing a decidedly feminine quality, even with her regal air and powerful nature.

"You were a girl?" Anthony asked.

"Since the day I was born, to my knowledge. Let me explain why you are all gathered here. You have been selected because you can access the necessary powers to combat my brother and his forces." Alala started.

"How can you be sure it's us?" Gabriella asked, a little confused.

A smirked crossed Alala's regal features. "Why don't you look above your head Gabriella."

She looked but she wasn't the only one. Floating above Gabriella's head was a blue metallic shark.

Before Alala could finish her explanation, a proximity alarm went off.

Alala sighed. "Okay my Rangers, it looks like Exalia is starting her attack."

"Who's that?" Anthony asked.

"My brother's most loyal servant…she should have died long ago…" Alala looked away for a moment. "Anyway, your morphers are up and running. Be prepared, I'm about to teleport you."

All the Rangers lined up single file and were teleported away in their respective colors.

In the downtown area, the citizens were running. Chasing them were strange humanoid creatures. They had large eyes, no visible nose, large fangs, strange tribal markings, three earrings on its left ear, a reverse blade clutched in its left hand, and short blades on its heels.

"What are those things?" Arabella asked.

"They're kind of cool…I wish I had my camera…" John then noticed everyone staring at him strangely.

"Those creatures are called 'Runners' in your tongue." Alala's voice floated though their minds.

"It doesn't matter what they are called," Zack said, rolling his neck and cracking his knuckles. "They'll be paste in a minute!" With that he darted forward with a roar.

Anthony smirked and followed along with the other rangers.

The first Runner spotted Zack and darted to intercept him. Zack ducked under its initial attack and drove a heavy knee into its midsection. "Come on and hit me!" Zack challenged with a roar as he jumped two more.

Another Runner rushed Gabriella from her left while one rushed Arabella from her front. Both girls lashed out high kicks to get some space.

"Double team?" Gabriella asked.

Arabella smirked. "You know it."

They rushed a Runner and drove their elbows into its chest before driving a double kick to the other Runners' midsection, knocking it back.

Both girls smiled at each other with thumbs up.

Caelee lashed out with a flying roundhouse kick and as soon as her feet touched the ground, she crouched low and swept another one of its feet. Two more powerful kicks and the enemies around her were down.

With a small smirk, Caelee admired her handiwork. "Not bad if I do say so myself."

John slugged a runner before grabbing its outstretched arm to flip it. When his first target hit the ground, John spun around and launched a devastating high kick making the other Runners pause,

"Well come on. It's too easy." John smirk, shaking the numbness out of his right hand.

Saika weaved through three Runners attacks with a bored expression on her face. "This is pointless if you can't hit me!" she yelled, going on the offensive.

The Runner on the left received a knee to the face while the one on the right got a heel driven in its face. The front most Runner got jabbed in the stomach three times, elbowed in the head and kicked away.

Saika dusted off her hands, as she watched more Runners approach her.

Kyle and Hailey wove through their targets landing kicks to chests and faces. Kyle caught ones arm and jabbed it in its 'ribs' before flipping it. Hailey swept another off its feet.

"Is it me or are these things terrible at combat?" Kyle asked.

"Who knows?" Hailey asked, continuing to pick apart her opponents.

Anthony grabbed two Runners' heads and smashed them together, ducked ones sword swing and launched a superkick at one, making it leave its feet.

"WHOO!" Anthony yelled as he backflipped away from a pair of Runners and drove both feet into another's chest in an inverted dropkick.

The Rangers advantage was not to be. They eventually found themselves back to back with each other.

"What do we do now?" Hailey asked.

Anthony didn't answer, just held up his fist as his symbol glowed. "Let's go! Mythos Warrior Mode: Red!"

In a red colored hyperspace, Anthony ran with his red tiger alongside him. Anthony's body, from the neck down, glowed white as his tiger shattered.

The pieces arranged themselves on Anthony's body before 'melting' to form the suit. The arms, legs, sides of the torso and boots were red. The black gloves had a white band where they connected to the suit and red fingertips with red lines along the back. The boots had a white anklet around the ankle and red soles. Most of the chest was black with Anthony's tiger symbol in a gold circle. The tiger's head fitted itself over Anthony's head, giving the impression of a tiger roaring. A visor slid into place and streamlined gauntlets appeared on Anthony's arms completing his transformation.

The other Rangers looked at Anthony's new form before holding their fists up too.

"Mythos Warrior Mode: Black!"

"Blue!"

"White!"

"Green!"

"Pink!"

"Yellow"

"Silver!"

"Gold!"

In Zack's black hyperspace, he found himself about to jump off a cliff. He darted forward, his black lion on his heels, before it shattered and 'melted' into his suit. Zack's suit had black along the arms, legs, sides of torso and boots. White bands connected his black gloves to his hands. White bands appeared around his ankles. The chest was mostly white with Zack's lion symbol in gold. Zack's helmet attached next, giving him the appearance of a lion baring its fangs in a feral roar.

When Zack landed, his visor slid into his place and reared back to let out another roar, eerily reminiscent of his respective spirit.

In Gabriella's blue hyperspace, she found herself standing on the back of her blue shark before it launched itself up and shattered onto Gabriella. Her suit was blue with the exception of her black, blue finger tipped/lined gloves, the white bands connecting them, the white bands around her ankles and the black chest area with her golden shark symbol. Her helmet gave her the appearance of a shark opening its jaw to prepare a bite.

She alighted on what could be interpreted as the surface of the 'water' and swept a hand out, a hiss of a shark escaping from her lips.

In Caelee's white hyperspace, she found herself running at the lead of a pack of wolf-like silhouettes. Her own white wolf ran beside her before it shattered to form her suit. It was all white except for her black gloves with the white fingertips/lines on back, black bands around her wrists and ankles of white boots, and the black chest area with her wolf symbol in gold. Her helmet's form was of a wolf in all its stoic glory.

She reared her head back and howled as her visor slid into place.

In Kyle's green hyperspace, he found himself running at breakneck speeds alongside his green deer. It broke apart and 'melted' into Kyle, forming his suit. It was mostly green except for the black gloves with the green fingertips/lines on the back, white bands around wrists and ankles of green boots, and black chest area with his deer symbol in gold. His helmet snapped on, taking the form of a deer in its majesty, with the antlers engraved on the sides of the helmet.

Kyle skidded to a stop in a low stance as the call of a deer sounded.

In Arabella's pink hyperspace, she stood in ankle high 'water' with her pink swan balancing on one leg next to her. It shattered and 'melted' onto Arabella forming her mostly pink suit with all the exceptions. Her chest area was mostly black with her swan symbol in gold. Her helmet took the form of a swan in all its beauty.

Arabella stood on one leg, threw her head back and positioned her arms with one arm out to the side and the other up and above her head to the swan's unique song.

In Hailey's yellow hyperspace, she was running at high speeds with her yellow gazelle before it leaped and Hailey followed it into mid-air. The gazelle shattered forming her mostly yellow suit with the exceptions. Her chest area was black with her gazelle symbol in gold. Her helmet took the form of the gazelle with its horns engraved into the side of the helmets.

She landed in a position that looked like she was ready to run with her gazelle call echoing in the background.

In John's silver hyperspace, he found himself diving at the 'ground', his silver hawk pulling up next to him. It shattered and melted onto him forming his suit, which was mostly silver…with the exceptions. His chest area was mostly black with his hawk symbol in gold.

He landed on one knee as his visor slid into place and the hawk's call echoed around him.

In Saika's golden hyperspace, she was on the back of her golden phoenix before it spiraled upwards and shattering and leaving Saika to spiral as her suit formed. The gold color was a shade darker than her golden symbol. The normally white bands were black and the chest area was white. Her helmet took the form of a phoenix mid-screech.

She seemed to float mid-air as her spiral came to an end. Her toes pointed to the ground and she held her arms a little ways away from her body as her phoenix screeched.

After the light of multiple transformations died down, the Rangers stood ready to fight.

In the midst of the enemy, a stranger creature rose. It took the form of a lizard mixed with a drill. Its name was Ferlalio. "CHARGE!" It commanded.

Anthony smirked under his helmet as his instincts kicked in. He clenched his fists. "Tiger Claws." He commanded.

Blood red claws slid from the slits in his gauntlets and they went over his hands.

"Who wants some?!" Anthony yelled, shooting forward and slashing anything in his way.

Zack crossed his arms over his chest. "Lion Sword, Leo Blaster." In his left hand, a black, lion-themed blaster appeared while in his right, a black, single-edged lion-themed sword appeared.

With a smirk hidden by his helmet, Zack broke the ranks, blaster spiting red death and his sword cleaving enemy's left and right.

Gabriella held up her left arm and the head of her shark spirit shimmered into existence. "Shark Sword,"

The handle of a sword emerged from the shark's mouth. Gabriella grabbed it and pulled it out revealing a double-edged blade with a shark-shaped handle.

The shark head disappeared and Gabriella brandished her blade. "Who's first?" she asked a pair of Runners as they advanced on her. She rushed in and bisected both of them with a horizontal slash, reducing both of them to dust.

"Guess it didn't matter huh?" she asked, jumping into the fray.

Caelee held out her right hand as a white katana style sword appeared in her hand, then she held up her left hand and a three-pronged knife appeared in it in a reverse grip. "Wolf Saber, Lunar Dagger,"

A Runner slashed at her head. Caelee leaned back to avoid it lashed out with her 'Lunar Dagger, destroying it. Another fell to her saber.

"You're going to have to better than that," she taunted as she charged.

Kyle shot forward at extreme speeds, a trident forming in his hand. The outer most blade resembled deer horns while a spike dominated the middle. He spun and slashed multiple targets, felling hem instantly.

Kyle twirled his trident over his head before bringing it down on another Runner, spearing the one and front of him and slashing in a circle around himself. "This is pretty fun," Kyle commented, only half-sarcastically.

Two Runners charged Arabella with their swords poised to strike. She merely leapt over them and held her arm out to the side. "Cygnus," she intoned, calling her weapon: a pink baton with a swan's head at one end.

She twirled it as she strode forward, jabbing enemies in the gut with it. One charged from behind but Arabella slashed it into oblivion.

"Come on boys. What else you got?" She asked, twirling her baton with a smirk hidden by her helmet.

Hailey, meanwhile, had summoned a spear-like weapon she called 'Zell Striker.' The head of a gazelle served to be the point from which her blades emerged, i.e. the horns.

She was lethally jabbing enemies that came in her way, all the while whooping.

John found himself surrounded on all sides by Runners. Holding both hands out to his sides, he called, "Twin Talons."

In both of his hands appeared silver sickles with a blade curved like a hawk's talons.

"Bring it ON!" John yelled as he spun like a mini-tornado, slashing and destroying any Runner foolish enough to charge.

Saika sighed as more Runners charged her.

With a grace bellying her animal spirit, the Gold Ranger jumped in the air and back flipped in the air, the Runners shooting past.

She landed in a crouch before she spun around to face them, left arm stretched in their direction.

"Firebird's Arrow," Saika intoned, a gold and red ornately colored bow appearing in her outstretched hand.

Clutching it, she pulled back the string causing three golden arrows to form.

Her aim was true and the arrows fell multiple targets, causing them to explode when she hit them.

She smiled under her helmet. "This is a lot more fun than what I usually do," she commented taking out more foes.

In no time at all, the army of Runners was no more leaving a stunned Ferlalio.

"You may have won this battle, but next time…it is I who shall win!" With that he turned on his heel and winked from their plane of existence.

The Rangers watched that spot for a few minutes before turning to each other and gushing about weapons and such.

They powered down a few minutes later as Alala returned them to base.

"Exemplary job my chosen. You have proved yourself to be all I needed and more. Excellent work," Alala gushed, her eyes shining with pride as she eyed each ranger in turn. "Zack of the Ferocious Black Lion, Hailey of the Vivacious Yellow Gazelle, Kyle of the Proud Green Deer, Gabriella of the Tenacious Blue Shark, Arabella of the Graceful Pink Swan,Caelee of the Noble White Wolf, John of the Swift Silver Hawk, Saika of the Radiant Gold Phoenix and Anthony of the Majestic Red Tiger."

Each Ranger looked up at their names with a determined look.

Anthony watched his new teammates as they laughed and joked. He let a small smile bloom on his face.

'At least things won't get boring,' he thought. Then his eyes fell on Gabriella. She smiled at him with that same dazzling smile. Anthony returned it.

Then his smile fell as he looked at Gabriella again.

'Yes…PLEASE don't let it get boring…'
