A/N: Um, yeah. The time. So I already wrote up this chapter ages ago but I kept forgetting to type it up. Sorry. And I've been reading lots of new manga and anime recently (and FFVIII!), so sorry about the huge delay!

So, I've read the Sailor Moon manga and it is SO much better than the anime. I've heard they're making a new season that's closer to the anime this time. I wish I could change this story to fit the manga more closely, but I'm already too far, and I don't feel like doing major editing right now.

Enjoy the chapter!

Episode 4: Meet Tenou Haruka! The Storm of Jupiter! Part One

There was a moment of jubilant silence, for Sailor Moon had defeated the youma. But that atmosphere broke when Sailor Uranus stomped up and poked Sailor Eris in the chest.

"Who are you? How do you know the enemy? Why are you here?" she demanded.

"I am Sailor Eris," she replied simply. "And right now, all you need to know is that I am here to help."

Sailor Venus spoke up. "As the leader of the Inner Sailor Senshi, I need to know. What planet are you from?"

"Eris, of course." She seemed surprised they had asked such a question. "Every Sailor Soldier is named after their corresponding planet. Don't you remember?"

"Yes, but I've never heard of Eris," Sailor Mars murmured. Eris looked incredulous.

"Mercury! You were always the brains of the group. You had the biggest memory! Don't you remember me?"

Mercury shook her head. "Gomen, we don't remember much from our past lives. Sorry."

"Neither do we," Luna and Artemis both said regretfully.

"I remember everything," Eris said. She turned to Sailor Moon and knelt. "Princess Serenity."

Sailor Moon was surprised. "Princess…Eris…?"

"Yes," she replied.

"Eris, where exactly is your planet?"

"Right now it is almost at the point where it is nearest to Earth. Perhaps in roughly a few months it will be at its peak of power. That is the moment we will have to pour our hearts and souls into defeating Payneite-ku-" She cut herself off. "King Payneite."

Payneite-kun? Sailor Moon wondered.

"Sailor Eris." Eris looked in Mercury's direction. "Why is it that our moves didn't work on the monster, not even Sailor Moon's?"

"It's Ultimate Sailor Moon now," she corrected. "It is the second most powerful form, second only to the Moon Princess and Queen."

"Wait," Luna interjected. "Isn't that Eternal Sailor Moon?"

"No," Eris answered, "Ultimate Sailor Moon is much more powerful than Sailor Moon, as she holds the power of almost all the planets of the Solar System."

"Mama told me about Ultimate Sailor Moon," Sailor Chibi Moon said. Diana nodded in firm agreement.

"Yes, Neo-Queen Serenity told Small Lady about the time when the planet Eris tried to take Earth twice, but the second time its own Sailor Soldier opposed it and tried to stop the invasion."

Everyone looked at Diana and Chibi Moon, and then at Sailor Eris, who shifted uncomfortably and avoided their gazes.

At last Sailor Jupiter said dumbly, "So she's on our side."

"It appears so," Sailor Neptune replied.

Sailor Pluto stood stock still for a moment before walking toward Eris. "Look into my eyes," she ordered. Eris complied. Pluto found no trace of untruthfulness or deceit. Nevertheless, she demanded some form of proof that Eris was on their side.

"What for?" Sailor Moon demanded, her brows creased into a frown.

"We need to know if she's trustworthy or not," Uranus said.

"But Diana and Chibi Moon just told us she was on our side," Venus protested.

"It's possible that she could have tampered with their memories," Pluto responded. "I want proof from someone who can resist that and fight that off."

Sailor Eris smiled for the first time. "You were always overly cautious, Pluto. But then, that's what helped you do your job in the guarding the gates of time so well."

"How did you know about that?!"

"I was the one assigned to keep an eye on all of you. As the Sailors Uranus and Neptune watched and guard the Silver Millenium from afar, so did I over the rest of the Solar System. Nothing escapes my Amethyst Crystal." A multi-faceted crystal appeared and glowed with a soft, lavender light. It floated tenderly above her hands.

"I thought only I had a Crystal," Ultimate Sailor Moon said.

"No," she said. "Every Planet Princess has their own Crystal. They all specialise in one thing. Mine is the Amethyst of Truth.

"Mercury's is the Emerald Crystal of Intellect.

"Mars' Crystal is the Red Coral of Courage.

"Jupiter holds the Topaz Crystal of Spirit.

"Venus' is the Jasper Crystal of Stability.

"Uranus' Crystal is the Fire Opal of Energy.

"Neptune's is the Aquamarine Crystal of Happiness.

"Pluto's is the Onyx Crystal of Detachment.

"Yours, Tuxedo Mask, is the Golden Crystal of Light."

She turned to Ultimate Sailor Moon. "And yours is the Silver Crystal of Purity. The symbol of the Silver Millennium. However, they will leave you drained after use."

"What do the Crystals have anything to do with this?" Mars broke in.

"They are what helped Ultimate Sailor Moon defeat the youma," Eris answered.

"Nani?"

"You saw those lights, right?" When the girls nodded, she continued, "A little bit of your Crystals' powers went to Sailor Moon. With the combination of the Sailor Senshi of the Solar System, it evolved her transformation almost to the fullest – Ultimate Sailor Moon."

"Eternal Sailor Moon does not have Tukishido Kamen and Sailor Eris' power," Luna murmured.

"Correct."

"So why couldn't we harm the youma at all but you could?" Tuxedo Mask asked.

Eris replied, "Only Ultimate Sailor Moon and I can harm those youma. Unless we lend you our power, you will not be able to either. The reason for this is because they are monsters from my own planet. It is It is my duty to take care of them."

"Then why is it that we could harm those other underlings?" Mercury inquired.

"Those other youma were mindless, bound to obey their master. They were created artificially, so you can destroy them. However, that monster just now was from one of the Eridian Clans. The people of Eris can only be harmed by the leading clan, myself, King Payneite, Ultimate Sailor Moon, or Princess Serenity or Neo-Queen Serenity," Eris said, casting a significant glance at Ultimate Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon.

"Enough talk. That is all you need to know for now," she said, before anyone could say anything else. Her black crystal earrings began to glow darkly. A black portal appeared behind her and she stepped in.

"Ch-choto matte!" Uranus cried out, but she was already gone.

"I wonder why the black crystal doesn't seem to affect her…" Neptune mused.

"Stay away from her, princess," Uranus warned.

A week later…

Usagi winced against the bright sunlight that flooded her room. "Luna..." she groaned, snuggling into the blankets. However, these were quickly yanked off by the black cat.

"No, no! Today is Sunday! You're supposed to meet up with the girls today at that racetrack! Remember, Rei got a feeling that someone or something important to our investigation would be there!"

Usagi reluctantly rolled out of bed and dressed in a soft blue dress that flared slightly at the hips. She turned this way and that, noting how the dress looked on her. Satisfied, she tied her hair in the traditional odango and went downstairs.

"Ohayo, okaa-chan!" Usagi said brightly.

"Ohayo, Usagi!" her mother replied cheerfully. "Are you going out today?"

"Hai!"

"Okay! Have fun and take care."

After Usagi ate her breakfast, she set off for the racetrack, making sure her ticket was in the side pocket of her handbag.

She passed by the arcade and paused, looking longingly at the inviting doors. "I think I can afford the time for a game or two..."

"Usagi-chan! I knew I'd find you here!"

"Hmm?"

"Rei is getting impatient. Let's go already."

Her only response was a series of 'mmph's.

"Mamoru-kun's there," Ami said sweetly.

Faster than her eye could follow, Usagi was up and running out the door, munching on a bag of sweets. Ami shook her head ruefully and followed.

"She never changes."

"You never change!"

Rei exasperatedly waved a flyer in Usagi's face. "You were supposed to be here ages ago! We need to investigate this Tenou Haruka person!"

"Or is it that she wants to meet this amazing racer?" Mina suggested slyly. Ami gasped, while Rei looked offended.

"I'll have you know this is purely Sailor business! And besides, like you're one to talk," Rei flared.

Mina parted her lips in outrage, but Mako stepped in before matters could get any worse. Mina and Rei glared daggers at each other.

Usagi saw a familiar face in the crowd. "Oi...isn't that Xena?"

"No! Don't!" Rei yelled, but Usagi had already shouted out to her. The girl turned around quickly, smiled as she saw them, and promptly began to weave her way through the crowd.

"Great job, Baka Usagi," Reu muttered. Usagi ignored her for once.

"Hey, Xena!" Usagi greeted her as she neared.

"Hi Usagi!" She responded. "I didn't know you were the type to watch a race go on."

"Nor I you," Usagi said. "And I didn't want to - but Rei did." Xena raised a brow.

"I didn't know she was the type either...isn't she a shrine maiden?"

"Yeah..."

The two stood in awkward silence until a young man with blue-black hair walked up to them.

"Hi, Usako."

"Mamo-chan!" The blonde threw herself into his arms.

"Hey, no fair!" A flash of pink that was Chibiusa launched herself onto Mamoru.

"This is very familiar..." Mina murmured.

"It's called déjà vu," Xena said.

Once the two girls had detached themselves after some difficulty, Usagi introduced Mamoru to Xena. "I forgot to introduce you two before. Sorry!"

"He's your boyfriend, isn't he?" Xena asked with a smile.

"I'm Mamoru," the man said, holding out his hand. Xena took it. His eyes widened almost imperceptibly before the mysterious feeling faded away as quickly as it came. She let go, and Mamoru took his hand back, puzzled.

"How'd you get here, Chibiusa?" Ami enquired.

"Ah, I stayed at tou - Mamo-chan's apartment," the girl replied, almost apologetically. The group almost fell over at her blunder.

"Why would you do that?" Xena asked curiously.

"He helps me study."

"Oh."

"Well then, let's go and find our seats!" Usagi laughed oddly as she began to walk strangely. The rest followed.

Soon they were seated in the stadium, munching popcorn and watching people going up and down the aisle. One particular person was pacing up and down, glancing from side to side.

"Excuse me, sir, but are you looking for someone?" Mako finally asked the man.

"Uh, yes, arigato. I'm looking for a girl. She's got teal eyes and sea-green hair. She's very beautiful and very elegant."

"Your girlfriend?" Mina asked with twinkling, mischievous eyes.

"She is."

"Do you want us to help?" Xena half rose.

"Thank you."

"I'll stay put here and save the seats so you girls can go search for her," Mamoru offered. As expected, Chibiusa decided to stay as well.

The girls split up in order to cover more ground. Usagi, Xena, Rei, and the young man were in one group, while Ami, Mako, and Mina were in the other.

As the groups headed off in separate directions, Usagi asked the man what his lover's name was. He smiled and softly replied.

"Michiru."

Rei creased her eyebrows slightly at the familiar name. It was on the tip of her tongue and yet she could not recall it clearly. Meanwhile Usagi nodded with a smug look on her face that didn't quite belong there.

Xena, however, nodded knowingly. "Pretty name."

"A beautiful name for a beautiful woman. And what are yours?"

"This is Usagi, and I'm Rei."

"A pleasure."

"No, no, the pleasure is all mine," Rei said while blushing.

"My name is Xena," the redhead said.

The group walked on in silence until Usagi stopped.

"MI-CHI-RU!"

Her voice echoed in the hallway. Rei hissed at her. "Do you want us to get kicked out?"

"It was somewhat loud," said the man.

They heard voices. "Did you hear that? It sounded like...!"

"See? Now we'll definitely get kicked out!" Rei admonished. Usagi glared. "It'll be fine!" she protested.

The man pursed his lips. Soon two men appeared on the balcony above. "Hey! You have to start soon!"

"Fine!" he yelled back. He turned to the girls. "Never mind about looking for Michiru. She'll turn up. She always does."

The three nodded. "Sorry about not being able to find her," Xena apologised, but the man assured her it was fine and waved it away.

He ran up to the boys who said, "Took you long enough! Ikuzo, Haruka."

A/N:

Starry Roses: Argh, it's so hard to keep track of so many characters. How annoying this is. How do other people do this? So many of the Sailor Soldiers didn't even speak during the interrogation in the first half of the chapter…it was mostly Sailor Eris' shine time.

Sailor Eris: My shine time! Time to shine! I did a lot of talking though…my throat is parched…

Star: I'm sorry.

Venus: I only got one paragraph of talking.

Pluto: I got one too.

Diana: I got one.

Chibi Moon: So did I.

Neptune: Same here.

Jupiter: And I.

Tuxedo Mask: One only.

Mercury: I had two.

Luna: Same.

Mars: I got three.

Artemis: I didn't get anything.
