Upon entry into the hole, her body separated from her spirit. Now in her 3rd squad captain uniform, which had been altered to have thinner and longer sleeves than normal captain jackets, Kiara was taken into a long hallway lined by many more Arrancar. One that caught her eye specifically was one that stood leaning up against a corner, he had blue hair and his part of the mask attached to his jaw. She also saw the one that had injected her, the one with pink hair and glasses. At the end sat Aizen, sitting in his chair acting like everything couldn't be better, which Kiara was sure was true for him. Next to him were Gin and Tosen. If she had given the death-stare any longer to Gin, everyone knew he would have spontaneously combusted. Not that he showed nervousness; rather, he found it humorous she had actually replaced him.
"Right on time, Mrs. Urahara, welcome. I knew your husband would never fail to retrieve you." Aizen motioned to her to come closer. She didn't move.
"Don't you dare talk about him, you don't have that right."
"My apologies, I only meant it as a compliment. I welcome you to Hueco Mundo and Los Noches, however, I will speak with you privately later. Ulquiorra, please show our guest to her room and then come back with the report from your journey. Also, if you don't mind, please refrain from kissing her." He chuckled as Ulquiorra bowed and continue with what he was told to do.
"Oh, one moment," they stopped, "Kaida, is there anything you wish to say to Gin? I'm sure you both have a ton to talk about."
"I don't know that man, why would I want to talk to trash?" Gin frowned angrily for only a few seconds. Kiara assumed he didn't like being talked down to by someone he wasn't allowed to hurt for the time being. He'll get his revenge for that later, Kiara thought.
"I can see you and Ulquiorra will get along fine. Continue then."
The room was several hallways away from the main hallway. It was a vast size, consisting of a connected bathroom, bed, dresser, vanity, and a single window that was high on the back wall. On the bed was a folded outfit similar to what the rest of the Espada wore.
"What's this for?"
"That is the outfit of an Espada. When you put on that outfit, you will have sworn yourself to protect Aizen and his ideals."
"Then forget it." She threw the outfit into a corner of the room. Ulquiorra simply watched it fly.
"I will come in a few hours with your dinner."
"I find it funny that Aizen chooses his most powerful Espada to babysit. I suppose it's because he's still intimidated that I will regain the ability to use my powers while I am in here."
"Aizen doesn't become intimidated, he expects you to gain them back."
"What did he mean by telling you to refrain from kissing me? Did something happen between us?" Kiara sat down on the bed.
"You ask too many questions."
"I will ask no more if you tell me that answer."
"I refuse to give you that choice." He turned and walked out the door before Kiara could say anything else.
"Men"
Kiara sat around the room for quite some time. She knew Kisuke was fine, and she knew he was fixing up a plan to get her back. She was worried about that, but there was nothing she could do in her current situation. She was more worried about what exactly it was that Aizen wanted from her. She couldn't remember anything that would be of any use to him. Perhaps he wanted her to gain control of her powers again and fight alongside him.
"Like that would ever happen." Kiara found herself saying out-loud. She hadn't noticed that the door had opened. The blue-haired Espada that had been standing in the corner earlier was now leaning against her wall next to the closed door.
Kiara stood up quickly, "Who are you, what are you doing here?"
"I suppose you really don't remember me then… too bad."
Kaida started walking towards him, but he didn't move, "I don't think I want to remember."
"Oh, I think you do." He had been looking at her the entire time, but now he raised his head towards her instead of facing downwards. She had walked about half the distance to him and stopped.
"I only remember your face, nothing else."
In a sudden movement, the Espada rushed behind her and put his arms around her. She struggled to get free.
"Now, now, back in the day you would never have acted this way." He rested his head on her shoulder and kissed her neck. She clenched her teeth at the feeling of his breathe and her body became tense, but she stopped struggling, she knew it was pointless.
The Espada threw her back down on her bed and pinned her arms down above her head with one hand and held her face gently with his other hand. He stared into her eyes. His eyes looked angry, but soft, as if he were concerned for her. There was no reason for her to feel comfortable with him on top of her, but she also felt no reason to struggle. She simply laid there and looked back at him, she was confused, and squinted her eyes at him (you could call this a death-stare). He paid no attention to it and kissed her. She figured there was something he obviously wanted her to know, so she accepted it. As memories flooded back to her, he loosened his grip on her hands and she wrapped her arms around him.
She remembered seeing him before she was injected. There was a point where she figured out how to 'travel' to Hueco Mundo and did so without anyone knowing. She had planned to confront Aizen herself, but came across Grimmjow first. At first he had believed her to be a new Espada (this is highly unlikely, but the writer enjoys the thought of it), probably to take the 3rd Espada's spot (which Kiara had always considered funny, since she was the captain of the third squad). When he had found out who she really was, he couldn't bring himself to fight her. She was as egotistical and stubborn as him, but was quick to point out his good features and stroke his ego a bit more than boast her own. He enjoyed her presence, for whatever reason, and they both ended up just really liking each other.
This was a problem for Kiara though, since she was married to Kisuke and all. However, there was another clause in her whole 'dimension traveler' contract that declared places like Hueco Mundo (or hell) on a different dimension level than Soul Society (or heaven) or the real world. Heaven and Hell were seen as dimensions inside of dimensions and every dimension had them. Thus, by a loophole, there was no problem with them liking each other. It still didn't sit well with Kiara, so she had told Kisuke about it, but never told Grimmjow she had asked. Kisuke was glad she asked him, and while it made him uncomfortable, he only asked her not to be as intimate with him as she was Kisuke (they were married after all, you don't think they didn't 'do it'?).
After their first encounter, Grimmjow and Kiara had made several destinations and times to meet at so they could see each other. Slowly, Grimmjow realized he didn't want to fight for Aizen. However, he was bound to it. A part of him wanted Kiara to join with Aizen so it would be easier for them, but he also knew she would never do this. She had a responsibility to her squad and her husband. Not to mention she hated the ground Aizen walked on. And heaven forbid she ever get her hands around the neck of Gin. She simply never liked Tosen from the beginning. All his talk about justice made him sound crazy to her.
At this point, Grimmjow was trying to work his way to places Kiara didn't want to go.
"Now, now," she stopped him, "Just because we haven't seen each other for so long doesn't mean you're getting that. We agreed to it, remember?"
"Yeah, it's just too bad you remember now."
"Funny… really." She said sarcastically. They decided to stay in the position they were in and simply look at each other. Whether it was love or infatuation, neither of them knew, but neither would be good excuses once they realized Aizen had opened the door several minutes ago.
"Grimmjow, you've disappointed me. Not that I didn't know, but you couldn't even wait one day to get your hands on her? For shame." Aizen walked forward and noticed the outfit on the floor.
"Ulquiorra told me you didn't like the wardrobe. Don't worry, I'll have someone clean it and I'll have you in it in no time."
"I refuse to wear it. I will not make any commitments to you."
"Eventually, you won't have a choice."
"We'll see about that."
"Grimmjow, meet me in the central chamber in a few minutes, if you don't mind."
"I think I do."
"Sorry, my manners got a hold of me again, you don't have a choice."
Grimmjow got down from the bed and stood up and stared at Aizen, his face was unchanging from his discontented look, but once a current of reatsu shot through him by Aizen, his look was completely painful. He dropped to his knees, "Okay, okay!" Kiara jumped from the bed to get by his side. They looked at each other as he stood up.
"Be careful…" Grimmjow said as he walked towards the door.
"Follow me," directed Aizen, "there is something I want to show you. There is information that I need and will get one way or the other, I have no doubt."
Aizen led her down a series of hallways and finally into a balcony. After fiddling with something, a pedestal arose from the floor with a glass container on top containing a round diamond-looking object.
"Do you remember what this is?"
"No, I can't say that I do. I can guess it's the Hougyoku, however."
"That's correct."
"I remember Kisuke and I talking about it."
"And did Kisuke tell you anything about it?"
"Nothing at all… he had said that he didn't want to put me in even more danger by giving me that information, so only he knows it. Not that I would tell you anyways, but that's the truth of the situation."
"I see, well, no matter. Like I said, I will acquire that information one way or the other." He turned towards the door and a guard came in, "Please call Ulquiorra, please."
"What are you going to do!?" Kiara didn't even have to ask the question, she knew the answer. Ulquiorra entered the room a few seconds later.
"Yes?"
"Ulquiorra, I apologize for sending you on so many missions lately, but could you please go retrieve Kisuke Urahara please? You can leave tomorrow."
"Of course, I will go tomorrow." and he was off.
"No! Leave him out of this! You've hurt him enough!"
"No, not enough, he was in this from the beginning, and I have a lot that I owe him."
Aizen took her back to her room. After a few minutes, a female Arrancar she hadn't seen before brought her a plate of food. It's wasn't bad food, just a deli meat sandwich, bag of chips, an apple, and glass of iced water, but Kiara felt bad eating it.
After she ate, she had plenty to worry about. The first worry that was confirmed for her was Grimmjow. A few hours later he was thrown into the room, a fellow Espada, Gin, and Tosen standing behind him. Only Gin entered the room and shut the door behind him. Kiara had been standing up, staring up at the window, and had turned around when the door opened.
"Grimmjow!" she rushed to his side to see the damage, but as she started to look up at Gin, he kicked her away from Grimmjow. She crashed into the back wall, causing the back of her head to bleed. She tried to stand up as Gin walked towards her, but she only got halfway by the time he had grabbed her shirt and pulled her closer to him.
"You should have respect for your superiors, Kaida. We were friends when I was your captain, I don't see why it can't be the same way here. However, I will not tolerate you being a smart-ass towards me so easily." He released her shirt, pushing her back against the wall, and after a quick motion of his hand, all the air in her had been knocked out. She fell to her hands and knees as she clenched her stomach and tried to regain her breath. Gin left and Kiara was able to lean back against the wall as she focused on breathing and trying to stop the bleeding. The uniform was still on the floor so she leaned over, ripped a part of the pants, and wrapped it around her head. Grimmjow had regained some of his own strength and was limping over towards her. Eventually, he was on his knees in front of her, clenching one of his arms. It was also bleeding badly, so she repeating the same bandaging process with him. He moved to sit against the wall next to her.
"They're going huff against Kisuke," Kiara was still having problems breathing.
"I knew they would. I also know they are going to force him to be on their side."
"huff no way, he would never cough agree to that…"
"Not unless he had no other choice."
"He would rather die, I'm sure."
"But he won't let you die."
"You think they are going to use me against him?" she was breathing better now, but not really thinking clearly, the answer was very obvious.
"I know they are."
"Damn."
"Well, in any case, I'm in here for tonight."
"The slumber party I always wanted." They both half-heartedly laughed. "You know," Kiara continued, "I would be able to get out of this if I could use my reatsu the right way."
"You should remember that sort of thing, shouldn't you?"
"Well, you have to understand. For me, I feel like these having these memories are like having memories of a movie I once watched. When you watch a movie, it teaches you a lesson and you learn something that maybe, if a time comes up when you can use it, you can pull that information and do something with it. However, if you actually have lived those experiences instead of watching them, they live with you and make you who you are. I don't quite feel like those memories are who I am yet. I think they will eventually, but right now I'm trying to process everything and put it all together. There are so many dimensions and things I have gone through… it's hard to place it all together to create me."
"If it's any consolation, you still sound like yourself."
"I've been told that before, not just by you."
They both stood up and made their way to the bed to lie down. Both of them were hurt and tired. Neither of them got much sleep, and when Kiara did fall asleep, all she saw were her newly regained memories, which often gave her nightmares. This kept Grimmjow up, also that a part of him knew he would be forced to kill Kiara the next day
