So here's a little something that i wrote back when i first started Mine, but never published. I figured it could fit in nicely with this little collection of oneshots, and also let you guys know that im still alive, just being really lazy. Anyways, i hope you enjoy!
A soft tap at the window brought a small smile to the celestial mage's lips.
She's early…
Looking over at the clock, before carefully stepping over the immobile form of the sleeping salamander, she made her way silently to the door.
Lightly tugging at the lock, she opened the door slowly to reveal a shrouded figure gracing her doorstep. Moving into the open air, she closed the door with a soft click, her breath tracing misty patterns in the night.
"You're early." She whispered, unwilling to disturb the stillness that had fallen over the city of Magnolia.
"I know."
A soft smile graced the face of her guest, the light reflecting off her fingertips as she reached for the spirit user. Slipping her hand into the offered embrace, she closed the distance between them with a single movement.
The gratifying warmth was welcome in the evening chill; soft tendrils of mist melding together, leaving their mark on the night sky.
A gentle laugh reverberated in her chest, though it wasn't hers; the distinct laugh belonged to the woman in whose arms she now found herself.
A silent request was breathed into her ear, one that caused a soft blush to paint itself across her face.
A slight chill radiated off of the woman's cheeks, contrasting with the glorious warmth between them; the softness was at odds with her usual exterior, but the sweetness wasn't, given her partner's fondness for cake.
"Satisfied?"
"For now." A devilish smirk lit up her normally stoic appearance.
Linking their fingers, they stood with their foreheads pressed against each other, their breath mingling, creating a dizzying haze for their senses.
"We should get going, or we're going to be late…"
Nodding in agreement, neither one made a move to disengage from the other.
"Preferably before Natsu wakes up…"
Sighing softly, the blonde mage stepped back, but refused to relinquish her hold of her lover's hand. The other woman quirked an eyebrow at the continued contact, but the younger girl refused to back down.
"If we must sneak around, I don't see why we can't… indulge ourselves, at least, in the dark."
Shaking her head at the younger woman's reasoning, she pulled her close again, grazing her companion's cheek with a chaste kiss.
"If you insist…" She pulled back with a smile, gently tugging the younger girl along, "but we really can't afford to be late."
The blonde mage sighed softly, grasping the hand in hers tightly.
"Mine." She whispered into the stillness of the night.
"Forever and always."
Under the cover of darkness the pair vanished into the night, intent on making the most of their stolen moments.
