Q: Why no Updates?
A: I've had some really crappy stuff happen. One of those things was, at the beginning of this year, January 14th, 2015th at 5:34 am, my Grandfather / Adoptive Father passed away. I inherited my innate talent for writing from him, and his passing has been...a very hard blow to deal with. I find myself unable to focus my thoughts into writing. However, I'm still trying and I do have snippits of chapter 4 written, I just need to get back in touch with the other Author to see if He wants to continue.
Q: You aren't the only Writer?
A: No. As stated I am not the only one writing this story. I do edit it and correct it a bit to fit into the flow of the story, however other then rewording a snippet here to fit, Richard's POV is Lord Creators character and the part of the story he has written himself and nothing has been changed. Arcana is mine, Richard is his. So anything to do with Richard you need to direct at him, he is not my character to change.
Q: What about the fight between Alucard and Anderson Arcana Interrupts?
A: It is a very big plot point in the anime/manga. However, this fic is AU meaning Alternate Universe. Arcana used her wires to rip the box containing the Nail of Helena away from Anderson before he could use it, and Alucard shot it out of her grasp to some off scene place where Richard later picks it up. She basically interrupts the fight. Also, I placed this fight sometime after Alucard releases Restriction 0, and is back in control of his self (as we see when he later fights Young Walter) So for this fic, some events have been altered as this story centers on Avertas and not Hellsing. We will try to keep some things cannon, but we are basically changing events to better fit with the story we are trying to weave. It is full AU.
Q: That still doesn't explain the fight
A: Because this story is written from Arcana and Richards p.o.v mainly, After she was 'extracted' from her part of the fight, she doesn't know what happened after that. Therefore I did not feel the need to further include the rest of the events of the fight as after that point, Avertas was no longer fully involved. However, you will see flashbacks from Richard and others who were there to witness the events later in the story, But I don't want to give too much away. Arcana was only there to get the artifacts, and she took and sustained heavy damage from both parties. I will be re-writing and adding more detail into the three chapters we have up, including the reason she didn't die. Mainly, although she is 'Human' she is an Augmented Human, and I can't tell you more then that until later chapters in which her circumstances are revealed.
Q: But you imply she is Walters Daughter?
A: Incorrect and a Bad assumption. She IS related To the Angel of Death, But she is not his daughter. Walter is too old to be her father. Her Origins will be later explained as they contain a massive plot point. A few hints have been dropped and Kudos to the two people who messaged me and got it right.
Q: What about Seras? And The Eyepatch if Seras killed the Major
A: I honestly don't Feel comfortable trying to write Seras. I don't think I portray her accurately, although she will show up in later chapters. For the first few chapters I didn't see the point of having her show up, especially at the meeting for the following reasons:
1. Yes she is a comic relief character, however, her presence at the meeting would fall flat and take away from the tense, strained seriousness I wanted to portray with that chapter. I feel that her presence there would have served the wrong purpose.
2. Arcana already dislikes being in the room with one Vampire, being in the room with two would more then likely have pushed her too far and would have caused too much tension in my opinion.
3. I have something else planned for Seras and Pip.
As for Integra having the Eyepatch, that is a part of the Cannon that I wanted to keep as it plays a vital role in her character development in the Hellsing Series. Seras breaks the glass around the Major, but he does shoot out Integras eye. Up until Arcana interrupts the fight between Alucard and Anderson, the events were cannon, After she is extracted, please assume that the rest of the following events stayed true to cannon: The Majors Death, and almost total eradication of Millennium. Other then that one singular event, the other events have changed or been altered to fit the story. Including 'Hans' (Ze Captian) and Doc's deaths.
Q: Scherodinger is dead.
A: This is part of Richards storyline and I have no insight or control over this. I'm sure Lord Creator will reveal the details in time.
Q: Walter returns?
A: As said before this is AU, and some events happened differently and will be revealed in time. I can't say any more then that or it will give away plot details of later chapters. Lets just say the Dornez/Dolnez Family is neither Good Nor Evil and have their own...agendas...
Q: The 'Snakes' in the Garden
A: I need to rewrite this a bit. Needless to say they aren't surprised in the least about spies being in their midst. Infact they mislead those spies and keep close tabs on them and are adiquitly aware of their positions and make sure they never rise above the rank of 'Pawn'. However, Richards revelations hint at more then just a spy but, how to say, a 'Judas' in their midst, in a ranking of power. He could even be implying the 'King' himself is a snake. Arcana is more outraged about how much information he spilled at the meeting, and his implying that Avertas is just a nest of snakes trying to control the world, considering it is the organization she has devoted her entire life to, on top of that, it would also mean information that only she knew, as the Bishop was leaked out. I'll give you a hint.

Q: Arcana is...sporadic in her thoughts?
A: I am as well in reality. In truth I think we all are. My mind jumps from thought to thought within seconds. I'll try to correct this but her thoughts are important, as is the order in which she thinks them. Youll find out why later.
Q: All the plot holes.
A: There are many plotholes in the Hellsing world in and of itself, but its because of those holes that this story was able to take place. Some of the holes will be filled in later, some I have to fix now. I do apologize for them ahead of time. But still, within reason I will answer your review questions with as much information as I can give without ruining the story.
That said you can all look forward to a side story about Arcana leading up to these events as a way for me to get back into writing.
