Forgot to mention this but this set in the second season of the flash, I thought about doing it in the fifth season but that was too complicated.
"He'll be headed back to S.T.A.R labs any minute now, I'll take you back there so Cisco and Caitlin can watch you. There will probably be a crime scene for me to look at."
"Ok," she followed him back out to the car and they drove back to S.T.A.R labs and she walked into the Cortex,
"So, Barry told me about your powers and I think I have a suit design in mind." he held up a drawing with an emblem, "I also drew up a design for your emblem. It's roughly based around your emblem on your suit now, just Cisco- fied." she looked at the familiar looking emblem on the paper he was holding up, it was beautiful,
"Thank you so much, I really appreciate it."
"Any chance I get to make a new suit. On the other hand I ain't making a suit for our stalker over here." he said pointing to the monitor where she saw Jay sitting on the floor of the cell.
"Is it ok if I go talk to him?"
"Be my guest, just don't open the cell door." he said he clicked a button, "I can monitor stuff from up here and if you are in trouble from him, which you probably won't be. I'll set everything to lock down."
"Thanks Cisco," she walked down to the series of cells she had heard Barry call the pipeline. Jay stood up, as she got closer,
"What's your name?"
"Jay Garrick,"
"And you were a speedster too?"
"Before Zoom stole my speed."
"Why did you come here, plus stalking all their identities. Something in my dimension that would also get you locked up. You can't blame these people for not being trusting of you."
"PREACH SISTER!" she heard Cisco shout over the intercom,
"See?" she looked at him, "I think it's just a matter of proving you do mean us no harm," she started to walk away before turning back to him, "Also, next time you interdimensionally or universally hop, maybe don't stalk them for six months."
"I'll think about that," he said sitting back down, she walked back up to the Cortex and saw Barry standing in the Cortex,
"Did you find something?"
"Yes, this was found at the crime scene."
"Of the fire?"
"Yes, I was attacked by some sort of sand meta." he handed the vile to Cisco,
"This definitely looks like sand,"
"It's not, it's human cells." Jay said walking into the Cortex,
"Oh for crine out loud!"
"Who let him out?"
"I did, I was running tests." Caitlin said walking by,
"They are human cells whose myosin II protein have migrated to the cell's periphery."
"Jay's a fellow science nerd,"
"No way," she said sarcastically,
"Those cells have the ability to rearrange and harden giving them the appearance of sand."
"A meta who can basically turn into a walking Geonosis?"
"We don't know what that is,"
"Sand covered planet, not fun. I've been and the locals are not friendly."
"How do you know this about this meta?"
"They belong to a meta - human I've fought before named Sand Demon."
"Look, I know you're new here, so I'm just gonna break it down for you. The whole naming the bad guys thing, that's my jam. But you know what? I'm gonna let you have that one 'cause I actually kinda like it. I'm not mad at that one. Is that Barry's sweatshirt?" he said pointing to the S.T.A.R labs sweatshirt on Jay,
"Oh, uh sorry. It was all I could find, so…"
"I was gonna say, 'cause it looks a lot smaller on you, right?" he looked down at the vile, "I gotta do this thing," He started to walk out, "Also, Barry, your new friend is so cool." he said pointing to her.
"So who is this Sand Demon?" Iris asked,
"I don't know his name, but I know how to stop him." Caitlin looked back to Barry excitedly,
"You know what, I think we're gonna be fine on our own. Esinon can help me."
"Look Barry, I don't know what else I can do to prove to you I'm on your side. I've been poked, prodded, even subjected myself to a full body scan."
"I was being thorough."
"Sand Demon's from my world, let me teach you how to stop him."
"I don't need you to teach me anything Jay."
"Zoom sent Rothstein here to kill you. He probably sent Sand Demon here to do the same. Anyone close to the Flash, all of you are in a lot of danger! I don't understand why you listen to her, a girl! Instead of me! I have fought Zoom, I can help!"
"Alright, if your so good, you would have caught him already." Barry said icily, "Let's get Jay back to his cell."
The next day…
She walked into CCPD just like Joe had told her, she had finished school for the day. First day, she looked around at the tower marble walls looking for Joe or Barry anywhere. She looked up to see them walking out,
"So Slick wasn't in Central City the night the particle accelerator exploded." she walked over to them,
"Hi guys,"
"Hey Esinon, um Joe and I are working a case. So my lab is upstairs, why don't you go work on homework until I can come talk to you." she nodded starting towards the stairs, before she was stopped by someone. A man in a beard and a red tie,
"Who are you, and where do you think your going?"
"I'm Esinon Windcaster and I'm going up to Barry's lab."
"Who gave you authorization for that?"
"My um… Uncle. Uncle Joe. He told me to work on my homework in Barry's lab until he could take me home."
"Joe has never mentioned a niece-"
"It's distant, I mean our relationship isn't distant, I'm from out of town."
"Ok then, nice to meet you. Now you better get up there." she nodded quickly before running upstairs. She sat down in Barry's chair grabbing the Sand Demon case file. She opened it to find some evidence another tube of the hardened human cells, she looked at the picture of the man who was from this Earth but his doppleganger is still out there.
"What are you doing?"
"Looking at this case," she said peeking her eyes over the case file,
"Come on, Cisco just called we have to get back to lab."
"Ok," she said putting the file down and following Barry out to the car.
They pulled into the parking lot of S.T.A.R labs and ran inside,
"I hate it when they use colors in their names." she heard Cisco say upon entering the Cortex, "Awesome you guys are here, please welcome" he said walking over to a stand covered by a cloth, he gripped it in his fist, he ripped it off "Clairvoyance suit 2.0!" the dark blue with light blue accents appeared, it shimmered under the fluorescent lights. She looked to see a white circular emblem with a yellow Jedi symbol.
"This is incredible!" she said excitedly walking around the suit,
"Fully equipped with rocket boosters, grappling guns, it's waterproof and a spot for your sword doohickey."
"Lightsaber?"
"Yeah that, best part is this." he double tapped the emblem and the suit shrunk into a bracelet with light blue and yellow stripes,
"Nano tech, so you can access the suit whenever you need it." she slipped it onto her wrist,
"Thank you so much Cisco,."
"Your welcome,"
"As awesome as that, what about that sample we gave you?"
"Yeah, not sand." he said clicking a button, a picture of the "sand" and his cells appeared on screen. "Definitely human cells."
"Yeah, I know. It's not him, I get it."
"I think that this whole Earth-2 thing is starting to make sense." she cleared her throat, "Plus, the inter dimensional thingy too."
"For real?"
"What you think Jay is lying about Sand Demon?"
"I don't know, that's my point. But I'm not gonna just believe some guy that walks in here and says a few things that sort of check out."
"Sort of?"
"He was right about Zoom,"
"We don't even know anything about Zoom. What is Zoom, is Zoom even real? Right now that's just a story around a campfire"
"Zoom isn't a campfire story, I've been sensing stuff off of Jay. He's not lying about Zoom, that's real. I just still am sensing bad stuff off this guy." Barry turned to Professor Stein,
"I mean have you even discovered a breach yet?"
"Not yet, but we know how to now."
"Have you found one thing to suggest that Jay is a speedster? Is the speed force even in system?"
"It doesn't appear to be, no."
"See? We are scientists, you are a journalist," he said pointing to Iris, "we test, we prove, we report. That's what we do. Except right now, nobody here wants to do any of that except me." she looked up at him rubbing at her bracelet.
"Can we have the room for a minute?" all of them left the room and she followed Cisco back into his lab,
"Do you want to test the suit?" she asked holding up her wrist,
"Heck yeah I do," she took off her backpack and jacket,
"Ready?"
"Let's do it!" he shouted excitedly, she double tapped and the small tech flew over her body covering her body in the sleek metal up to her neck. He held out a blue and yellow mask to her,
"Madame Clairvoyance, your mask."
"Thank you," she said taking the mask and pressing it against her face.
"The amount of awesome you are radiating right now is radioactive." He said stepping back to look at his creation.
"This is the best, I can't wait until you can take it out for a test spin." He said getting bouncy,
"We need everyone in the Cortex," she went to take the suit off,
"Wait! I need everyone to see this masterpiece," he said leading her out into the Cortex where Jay and the others were standing,
"Clairvoyance, nice work with the suit by the way Cisco." Barry said nudging Cisco,
"Thanks," She took off the mask and looked at Jay,
"You better have a plan for this,"
"I do, I like the suit."
"Thank you."
"We are looking for any structures that promote humidity. Greenhouses, grow rooms, anything of the sort. His body will literally start to fall apart if he becomes dehydrated."
"Like dry sand."
"Exactly. Sand Demon always attacks on two fronts. He creates a diversion, then strikes when your distracted."
"Ok, then what do we do?"
"We use your speed to get to him before the distraction can happen."
"Jay, how do I stop someone that can slip through my fingers?"
"The way I was never able to, with lightning."
"Yo, are you about to pull a Zeus right now?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Barry's gonna hurl lightning from the energy he creates when he runs."
"Because lightning plus sand equals-"
"Glass."
"Time to learn something new kid."
"Wait," everyone looked over to her, "If you've never done it before then how are you supposed to teach Barry?"
"I've seen Zoom do it many times before, I know that Barry is fast enough to do this." she looked at him with a feeling of doubt. Logically she knew this would work, but how can someone teach someone else something they've never even learned.
"All right,"
"Choo!" Cisco said with a glow in his eyes at the idea of this becoming real. She had to admit, she was doubtful but she and her team had pulled off bigger than this back home.
"Give me a sec," Barry said walking out. She looked over to Jay,
"Can I talk to you, in the medical bay."
"Sure." they walked into the medical bay and she closed the door.
"Listen, I'm taking a big leap of faith in trusting you right now. One of my big powers is being able to sense certain things about people. Now, I know we're both new here and I jumped from a lot further. I just want you to know that if you try anything funny for even a second, trust me I will be the first to know, and guess who will be the second."
"Look, I understand you are trying to be threatening here. You're young and you are in a new environment and you decided to make sure to state dominance. I get it, but I'm not scared of you."
"You should be, one of us has powers, so I wouldn't try anything." she said opening the door, "Now I believe we have a sand demon to catch." she walked back out of the room and double tapped her emblem and the suit shrunk back to a bracelet.
One hour later…
A beeping filled the room as she looked up from her notebook,
"I've searched all the vacant buildings in Central City and none of them fit the description that we need."
"And I've looked at any draw upticks on the electrical grid, and nothing out of the norm I'm afraid."
"We gotta do whatever it takes. I'll be back." she watched him rush out of the room. She walked down out of the Cortex following the sound of Jay's voice. She walked down into a dark room where the yellow lightning was whirring around in a circle, a crackling filling the air. He came to a halt after a bolt of lightning flew into the wall,
"Again," Jay said standing on a platform, she could hear Barry's panting,
"I've been doing this for an hour. It's not working."
"That's because you're trying to rush it. This is the one time you need to slow down. Let the energy pass over you, then simply direct it to where you want it to go."
"Alright, Jay. I don't know if I'm going to get this in time."
"You'll get it. I believe in you."
"The last person that helped me like this was a man that I looked up to. Idolized. He taught me how to get faster, how to get stronger, how to use my powers to save people. That same man killed my mother."
"It's a tough break, but I'm not him."
"Yeah,"
"Hey, guys," she said walking in further, "I think I might know how to help."
"How so?"
"I've been trained before to slow down to take a moment. Just try one more time." she said double tapping the bracelet and the suit appeared, "I can talk to you through the com link."
"One more time," he said taking off,
"Ok, can you hear me?"
"Yep,"
"Ok, I want you to only focus on the sound of my voice. Feel that something stirring inside of you, the crackling of the lightning, the wind on your face, the pounding of your feet, the energy coursing through your body from the tips of your toes to the end of each hair on the top of your head. Now feel the force taking over you, you aren't Barry Allen anymore, you are the Flash, you are something more, you have inside you, the speed force. Now Flash, I want you to concentrate that energy to your arm, and throw." she said opening her eyes, he threw the bolt of lightning hitting the target, "Yes!" she cheered,
"Yeah!" he danced around,
"I know where they are!" Cisco yelled running into the room he ran over to the three of them, "The abandoned Woodrue grow house. That's where Slick's keeping Patty."
"Dude, great job."
"And I was thinking, if I were Sand Demon and I were attacking a speedster on two fronts, I would probably need to slow you down, so I would use a concussive bomb."
"That's a good thought. He's actually used one on me before. His body absorbs the blast so it doesn't affect him."
"What if we also gave Slick a diversion? He know you, right? You said you went up against him."
"Yeah but, Barry I don't have my speed."
"He doesn't know that." she said getting a big smile on her face.
"You got your suit?"
"Sure, well except my helmet."
"Helmet?" Dr. Stein asked,
"Silver kettle helmet, gold wings."
"Don't tell me you guys found it." they all ran back upstairs and Caitlin handed him the helmet,
"Never thought I'd see this again." Jay said looking it over, "It was my father's, from the War of the Americas."
"Did you just say war of the Americas?"
"I wish you would have just told us you lost your helmet. Would have saved us all a headache." Barry said as Jay put the helmet on, "Well, sure you want to do this Flash?"
"Yeah, let's go see what you're made of Flash."
"Ok, so when we get in there you distract Sand Demon while I get Patty away from the bomb."
"Ok, then what?"
"Esinon, you keep Patty safe and try to get her away from the grow house."
"Got it,"
"Let's do this."
"I'm in the security feed, go Barry!" she crept up into the rafters setting herself in the same way Peter usually did, she waited patiently, she could see Slick, Patty, Jay, and Barry.
"Is that you Flash? Found you way here."
"I came quite a distance."
"I thought you were dead."
"You were wrong. Like usual. Let the girl go." she shifted her weight jumping to the next beam nearer to Patty.
"Have at it. But if you touch her, she goes boom. And I think you aren't fast enough to save her." Jay swung over Slick's head just missing, any second now. She watched him swing again and Slick quickly dodging each blow,
"Quite a bit slower on this Earth, aren't you, Flash?" Jay struck a blow right to Slick's face and the sand floated out of his body and then floated back in to reform his body. Slick quickly struck two blows to Jay's face,
"Come on Barry." she whispered as she jumped to a closer beam. Slick delivered swift punches to Jay's stomach and he bent over coughing, Slick wrenched him up by his jacket,
"You don't have your speed do you."
"Slick's distracted, go Barry!" she heard Cisco say over the coms, she tensed her body waiting for Barry to zip in. She saw the yellow lightning fly into the room, he grabbed her off the chair but the bomb set off knocking her off her post, she shot the grappling gun and swung over to Patty and Barry, who had just tumbled to the ground.
"Patty's alive," he said into the com link, she landed next to him, "Get her out of here." she nodded, pulling Patty's body closer to her. She picked up the unconscious woman's body and ran out of the grow house. She flipped through a few options and the rocket boosters turned on and they flew to the CCPD. She set down Patty on the ground, she back away as a few officers rushed around her. Patty's eyes fluttered opened,
"What happened?" she asked warily, one of the officers, the red tied one from before looked up over at her.
"Who are you, where did you come from, and what did you do to her?"
"I'm Clairvoyance, I work with the Flash, and I didn't do anything to her. She got knocked out by a concussive bomb at a grow house. We were fighting a meta human."
"By we you mean you and Flash." she nodded. "Thank you." he said turning back to Patty. She nodded before walking out the door and flying off back towards S.T.A.R labs. Barry flew into the room as she entered the Cortex,
"I checked on Patty, she's fine." he looked over to her, "Good work today."
"I'm just glad I was able to help."
The next day…
They stared at the satellite image of the city with small glowing patches,
"It appears that while we were indeed successful in closing the singularity there was an unfortunate side effect."
"What are you talking about?"
"Using electrophotography Cisco and I were able to search Central City for any signs of energy entering our earth from another dimension. From any breaches, as Mr. Garrick and Ms. Windcaster described them."
"But of course, there isn't just one breach. There's 52 of them scattered throughout the city."
"These breaches are pockets of time and space folded into and upon itself. But the most significant breach of all appears to be this one." Cisco clicked a button and it zoomed in a large anomaly on the screen.
"And where exactly is that located?"
"It's here inside S.T.A.R labs. And just beyond that breach is an entirely diff- fferent-" Dr. Stein fell to the floor, they ran over,
"Professor? Professor!"
