Chapter 4

-Drink your Problems away-

Muradins POV

"Lad, is that really you?"

Arthas turns red brimed eyes towards muradin, and there he sees it. They were no longer the cold etheral eyes of the Lich King. Those eyes were a of a deep blue he had only seen once and he sees such deep regreat, sadness and loneliness in them.

Arthas rise to his feet with a shaky inhale his eyes never leaving Muradins.

"It's me Muradin, it really is. And light I am so sorry. All the things I did. What a dispicable monster I became for power alone. I don't know how to ever pay for my sins. I am sorry, I am so sorry" Arthas keeps mubling out apologie after apologie, and it almost looks like hes breaking down. He's seen to often what War and Death could do to good man.

He moves closer to Arthas and puts his hand on the lads arm, it's been a long time since he could grap his sholders.

"Clam down Arthas, Damn it. Apologising is not gonna do ya much good at this point, all you can do now is to try and move on. You cannot undo the past, but you can work for a better future, like for starters helping us find a Way back to Azeroth."

Arthas seems a bit clamer at that, but still looks shaken. Muradin turns his eyes to Uther for help and the Paladin seems to get the hint.

Moving up to Arthas other Side, Uther gently lay his hand on Arthas sholder and meets his Eyes.

"It is true that you have brought great Sadness and Destruction about Azeroth, but that was not entirely your own doing, there were other Forces at work as well, don't blame youreself more than you have too. A fair share of that blame lies with me too." Uther finisches.

Arthas eyes widen at that and he looks even more shaken then before. "You can't possibly mean that Uther, It was all my doing in the end. I gave into revenge. I purged Stratholme when you wouldn't follow my orders. Youre not to blame for any of this"

"But I am, I could have stopped you that Day in Stratholme. I could have followed you to Northernd. I could have defeated you when you came for you Father Ash. But I did none of those Things because I was weak and afraid."

"That balme lies with me as well, I could have done so much diffrent, been stronger and wiser. Could have stopped you from taking that damn sword in the first palce. But as it is that is the past, and Men should not wine for what we cannot change. We have to move on, together." Muradin replies.

"Muradin is right, Arthas, we are both here and so are you. This has to mean something. The light still has plans for you boy, don't you ever forget that" Uther repiles with a small smile.

Another sob escapes Arthas, but he seems to be doing better now.

"I-I'dont even know what to say. Thank You. Thank you so much Uther, Muradin."

"Now, what do we do?" Uther asks with a frown.

They had completley forgotten about the Battle that was still going on, and it seems like Muradin and Uthers Teams has almost lost, as they were tow Heroes down.

Well Muradin had a good Idea what they could do. A good Drink could solve all Problems, at least for a Dwarf.

"How 'bout we head over to the tavern after this round is over, catch up with old times and the like?" Muradins asks with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

Jainas POV

She was floating in her waiting Space again. The encounter with Arthas was still fresh on her mind. But the talk with Thrall had helped clear her mind, even if see was not sure if Arthas was really trying to decive her.

She had decided that she will at least hear him out the next Time she meets him. But for now she had to keep clam and take all posibilitis into account. Arthas could be an invaluabel Ally if he really was trying to reedem himself, and maby they could even rediscover something long though lost.

She stops her train of thought right there. It will bring her only pain if see keeps thinking about what could have been. And he had hurt her so much.

With a quiet sight she decides that she needs something to distract her. There is no Match sheduled in the next few hours, so she decides to take a Detour to the Tavern.

There are actually quite a few place that can be visited form the waiting Space. There is a large Meeting room, althought it was never used. There are also a few private rooms where people who knew each other could meet up between fights.

And then there was the Tavern, it was of course the most frequented part of the Nexus, if you don't take matches into count, and there was always someone there. It was true that while they did not need to drink to sustain themeselfs, they could if they wanted to and alkahol still worked on them, but it's effekt was removed as soon as a Fight was entered. She could have used that particular skill back in Azeroth...

With a small Wave of her hand a portal opens. They are not unlike the portals of Azeroth but she has no sway over them, they are just normal gateways.

She steps out into a large sircular entry section. There are three spereat Sections of the Tavern, each desinged vastly different to fit the taste of people from other Worlds.

The first wing, reminded her a bit of a run down Tavern in Brill she had once visited for a diplomatic Metting with the Dark Lady. Althought the mood seemed to get gradually darker the deeper you moved into the wing. At the far end of the wing there were three large silhouettes seated in the shadow, their red eyes glowing ominously in the darkness. The Barkeeper, an older man with a grey beard and kind eyes keeps throwing nervous glances into demons direction. The section is otherwise empty expect for a lone Babarian sitting at the bar drinking.

The next Section is quite the opposit to the last. It has a very modern design. Sleek metal plates coating the walls, and sturdy tabels made of steel. It reminds her a bit of Gnomeregan but looks even more advanced and less shackeld togehter that the Gnomen City. The Barkeeper is small man, she would almost call him a dwarf, but his face dosen't quite fit it. He has brown hair, a moustach and a neckbeard. The small man moves up to a seated customer – she knows him, has thought with him before – Jim she rembers, he was quite and obnoxious flirt but if you got to know him he ain't half bad.

The smaller man asks something, an Jim answers with a laugh and a nod toward his empty glass. The smaller man huffs a chuckel at that but nonetheless gets the bottle from the bar and uses a strange mechanic arm or claw to hold the glass steady. The Portal behind her opens, and a Woman with chitinous plating covering her body walks past her giving her a friendly nod. She dosn't really know her but they fought together before. She reminds her a bit of those female Qiraji, but looks more human, and her wings look like something made to kill more than to actually fly with them.

The woman seats herself next to Jim, and he throws an arm around here, being mindfull of her balded wings. The bartender brings her a drink an they converse between each other.

The last section is the worst for her, beacuse it reminded her way to much of home. The Wing was divided into three Parts. One for the Alliance, one for the Horde and a smaller neutral section in between. They looked almost exactly like something that would have been build in Azeroth. There were three spereat Bartenders, one for each Faction. Hemet Nesingwary had taken over the Alliance's Section. The world renowed hunter has taken to decorating his part with as many rifels, bear plets and trohpies he could safley fit in there, but it made the space cozy and gave it a personal touch. She's gotta say that Dwarf had a knick for mixing drinks and always had a funny story to tell from his last big hunt.

Old Sen'jin had taken up the Hordes section with help from Rokahn. There are centaur rugs and hookas thrown over the floor and Battelaxes hanging up on the Wall. Sen'jin is actually quite happy to serve anyone, be it Horde or Alliance.

The neutral Section is the smallest and looks just like a normal Tavern form Azeroth, Gazlowe and his Goblin Boys have taken over here, but Gazlowe is rarley here as he is a Fighter as well. One of his Goblins is keeping the bar at the moment talking emphatically to a very disinterested looking Chromie.

Conflict of any form is stricktly forbidden in here, and there are harsh punishments for physical Conflict. It was actually quite funny who fast the Horde and Allinace seemd to mix up after some time passed. She has seen E.T.C talking with Malfurion, lamenting about the lack of Plant-life in this realm, Genn drinking with Rexxar and Muradin handwerstling with Samuro. One time Illidan and Gul'dan had even had an almost civil Conversation, that had left the hole Tavern in shock.

As it is still farily early into the Day, the bar is pretty emtpy, she was just about to make her way toward the Alliance Section, when spots Thrall at the Horde Bar, talking with Sen'jin and Rexxar. He noitices her and calls her over.

She seats herself next to Thrall. "Well meet Jaina" Thrall calls. "It's has been far to long Lady Proudmore, it is good to meet you again" Rexxar greets her, the commen tounge still sounding rough coming from the large Mok'Nathal.

"Greetings, Thrall, Rexxar, and you can drop the Lady Proudmore that was my Mother, just call me Jaina, Rexxar.

"Very well, Jaina. How have you been?"

"Besides being transportet into some strange realms and being held for petty arena battles, for Light-knows whos amusement, it's actuallly been pretty fun." She replies with as little sarcasam as she can muster. Wich is not working out well nowadays.

"That does seem to be a commen problem around here" Thrall replies with a chuckle.

"Me and Misha miss the Wild, were not good when we are holed up like this..." Rexxar trails of and strokes the large bear the lies next to him behind the ears.

Sen'jin comes to her, "Young Lady Proudmore, what can I serve ya today?".

She really dosen't know why the Horde is more keen on calling her by her given Title then her own Faction ever was, but she guesses Thrall has something to do with it. "A Glass of wine will be fine, Sen'jin." The old Troll nods and moves of to prepare her drink.

The troll returns shortly with her wine, setting it down in front of her "Thank you, Sen'jin."

"It's a pleasure" The troll replies with a tusked grin.

"Can you bring me another one Rokahn?" Thrall calls to the younger troll, who has a bright red mane. "Sure thing, Warchief" The troll replies with a teasing grin.

"We had this Conversation before Rokahn, I am no longer Warchief."

Rokahn sets Thralls mug down before him and anserws "You'll always be the on and only Warchief for me. That Garrosch Idiot will never be a Warchief ta me."

Jaina frezzes in her Seat, that Name still carries to much pain, so many dead for nothing...Thrall lets out a resentfull sight at the metion of his "Pupil".

"Ah, Shit, I didn't mean to make ya uncomfortable Lady Proudmore, I know it's not much but Thrall actually finished him for good in Nagrand. And Boss Vol'jin will never let something like that happen again."

She was shocked to say the least, Thrall had never said anything to her, she had always expected that they had lost him Draenor. "Thrall, you never mentoind anything!" She can't help her outburst. A part of her would maby have been able to forgive the Horde sooner if she had known that that Monster had finally gotten his judgement.

Thrall grimaces. "I'm sorry Jaina, everything happend so fast, and it was not like you wanted to talk, I did send letters, quite a few actually, but there never was an answer. I know I should have tried harder, I'm sorry Jaina."

She had gotten those letters but had been to furios at the time and burned every single one. "It's alright Thrall, it was partially my fault as well. I kept my Grudges for far to long and in the end it had cost us all."

"That was not only your Fault, Jaina we could never have predicted the Trickery that the Legion was capabel of" Rexxar says.

There are footsteps approaching them form behind. Three sets of them. She has a bad felling when she starts to turn around.

"Jaina"

The word makes her blood run coold. Standing behind her in none other then Arthas Menethil. And strangley enough he is accompinied by Lord Uther Lightbringer and Highlord Muradin Bronzebeard.

"Lady Proudmore it is-"

Uther begins to greet her but two large masses of green and brown muscels move themeself between Arthas and Jaina.

"What is HE doing here?!" Thrall demands in an harsh growl.

Thank you for reading. And Sorry for the Cliffhanger^^

As you may have guessed, everyone died before they came to this realm in this story. Their bodys are retored to their prime, but their minds stay the same. Also Rokhan died before Vol'jin, so he dosen't know about the hole Banshee Queen Deal yet.

Things are gonna sped up soon. Varian has been released some time ago. It's gonna be fun to bring him into the story. I will try to make the Chapters more regulary, but my life has been extremly busy. This Story is not abandoned, and I will eventually finish it. I hope you understand.
