"A training session with Naruto..." Hinata voiced a loud; she examined the walls as she began to walk through the large compound.

Whenever she felt like there was a lot on her mind she would walk throughout the near silent hallways and intimidating corridors. Despite the large amount of people within the Hyuga it was a generally calm and quiet walk.

A couple minutes passed by and she found herself outside her father's study. She wasn't fully sure why she said yes to Naruto's request without consulting her father. If her father says no, what will she do then. She already had training sessions with her father on all week days.

Disobey his orders?

She violently shook her head. She wasn't stupid, contrary to what Neji may believe.

Taking a deep breath, she opened the door. This was ridiculous, if she wants to be a leader then she can't get jittery over something so small.

"Father?" She emptied her throat in an attempt to gain his full attention as well as soothe her own nerves, she was off to a good start; no stuttering in sight.

"Hinata." Hiashi's face remained blank as he nodded as a sign of a greeting.

"My friend w-wanted to, um, w-well…" Hinata's face began to turn red as she tripped over her words.

"Hinata…" Hiashi narrowed his eyes as the tone of his voice bordered annoyance.

He always seemed annoyed when talking to her.

Taking another deep breath, she started again. "T-training partners, I-I want to train w-with a friend after s-school."

"I-I know that w-we-." Hinata was interrupted by her Father's sharp voice.

"That's fine, I wanted to divert some more of my attention towards Hanabi in terms of training." Hiashi curtly responded.

Hinata looked down, for some reason she felt, slightly disappointed? She wanted her father to say yes, but she secretly was looking for some sort of fight from him.

She wanted to feel like those training sessions with her father were important.

No, she wanted to feel important.

Bowing her head she quickly scurried out of her father's study.

Kind like her mother and strong like her father. This was practically Hinata Hyuga's slogan for as long as she could remember. But not until she talked to Naruto and began to notice things around her did she realize how important these words are.

It was practically how to be a leader 101 and she never realized it.

If she wanted change within the Hyuga she would need to follow these words wholeheartedly.

Hinata yawned as she took a glance at Naruto tired form sprawled on the desk. Naruto, feeling her pale eyes on him lazily smiled at her.

"Hey, Hinata let's dip out of class." Naruto whispered jovially.

"Y-you mean l-l-leave in t-the middle of c-class." Hinata hastily whispered back. The lesson was boring no doubt however she'd never done anything like that before.

"Come on, this substitute is terrible, he's nothing like Iruka sensei. Missing the rest of this class wouldn't hurt that much anyway." Naruto grinned mischievously. "Unless you're scared."

Hinata's eyes widened, was Naruto teasing her? Was this a sign they were becoming closer?

Would she ever be able to take this smile off her face?

She snickered and whispered back in a teasing tone. "Oh g-great all knowing f-future Hokage just where a-are y-you planning on g-going i-in the first p-place.

Did that constitute more as a compliment or teasing? Hinata didn't really care due to the instant shine in Naruto's eyes in response to her words.

"It's a special place, at least for me." Naruto's face melted into a warm smile that caused Hinata's face to start burning.

"I'll go." Hinata said immediately, Naruto could use that smile to get her to do anything.

"Y-your s-special place is on t-top Hokage monument?", Hinata said in awe as they lounged on top of the Hokage's head.

Naruto nodded with an excited smile, laying down comfortably. "When I'm up here I feel like I can do anything, it's a really good motivator."

An idea popped into Naruto's head causing him to spring up. "I like to yell out my goals up here to get my blood pumping before training, you should try it."

"M-me!?" She exclaimed in surprise. Maybe this would be a good confidence booster, she needed it if she wanted to train with Naruto.

"I want to become-." Hinata started off clear and loud until she saw Naruto's eagerly surprised eyes. "W-well, um, I… s-sorry." Naruto's eager aura caught her off guard and as a result she ended up pathetically muttering a sorry

"Huh, sorry for what? Haven't you heard the phrase, you become Hokage in a day! Take your time." Naruto stated smugly with a vibrant smile, feeling very confident in his advice.

Hinata couldn't stop her snickers, "I t-think you m-mean you don't become Hokage in a day." She was smiling now, whether on purpose or not, Naruto always knew how to make her smile.

She was very thankful for it.

"T-thank you though, y-your advice will come i-in handy w-when you b-become Hokage, b-believe it!" Copying Naruto's iconic catchphrase, Hinata formed a thumbs up sign with her hands while smiling earnestly to drive her message home.

In response to this Naruto's face tinted red, maybe Hinata was hallucinating but it looked like Naruto was blushing due to her words.

"Y-your really nice, I think that will c-come in handy when you become clan leader!" Naruto slightly stammered, with a small blush still prominent on his face.

It must have been a hallucination.

Right?
