Oh my god...it feels so good to rejoin society. I missed this. My modem gave out so we had to wait for a new one and then someone had to come set it up because my mom wouldn't let me do it myself. Then I had to set up a PSN account, my friend Cette is in town for the week, and my house is the hangout spot from the time my friend Lovina and I get out of school until around 9:30 or 10 pm. But enough of my excuses and on with the fic.

Nicole POV

I know Jade was listening in. She doesn't take 15 minutes to wash a few dishes and put away leftovers. To hopefully kill two birds with one stone, I said enough that Jade would be forced to own up to her feelings if confronted and see what reaction Tori had to what I revealed. Jade's talked about Tori Vega since she transferred to Hollywood Arts. A first, she was livid with this girl. She hated everything about the brunette sitting next to me, from her coffee brown eyes to her chipper personality. Then, she slowly started to talk about her with less malice in her tone. Until today, I couldn't put a name to a face. Now, all I have to do is play matchmaker.

As Jade walks into the room, Tori's phone goes off.

'Hello?...What?...Trina, you better not be screwing around with me...When?...I'm at Jade's...Hang on, let me ask...' She turns to Jade. 'Can you take me home? My cousins are there and I haven't seen them in ages.'

Jade nods and Tori relays the information to Trina. She hangs up and turns to Jade. 'You two are gonna meet Henry, Alex, and Dallas. Henry and Alex are a year older than us and Dallas is Nicole's age. They're moving in next door to me and we're helping them out.'

Her eyes were shining, I had to smile. 'Jade? You're not planning on kicking Tori out of the car before driving away to avoid meeting her cousins, are you?'

My sister makes a show of tapping her finger on her lips as if she were really considering kicking Tori out of her car, but I already know she would never do that. 'As tempting as that sounds, I'm not going to do that.' Tori starts smiling, but Jade holds up a finger to silence her. 'On one condition.' Tori and I look at her confused. 'Don't be a stranger. Nicole's taken a liking to you and I'm sure she'd enjoy you hanging around more often.

I scoff and mutter under my breath. 'Yeah, I'M the one...'

'What was that?' Both of them ask, causing me to chuckle.

'Nothing. Let's get going, I'm looking forward to meeting your cousins.'

We all head to the door and Jade grabs her keys. I run out and get in the back seat, laying down so Tori has no choice but to sit in the front with my sister. The ride to Tori's gets pretty painfully silent, so I start humming "Time's a Wastin'" from the movie Walk The Line, one of mine and Jade's favorites. Jade catches the tune and starts singing Johnny's part. Surprisingly, Tori catches the tune as well and starts singing June's part.

Jade Tori Both

I've got arms
And I've got arms
Let's get together and use those arms
Let's go~
Time's a wastin'

Well a cake's no good if you don't mix the batter and bake it~
And love's just a bubble if you don't take the trouble to make it~

So if you're free to go with me
I'll take it quicker tha 3
Let's go~
Time's a wastin'

We all start laughing as Jade pulls into Tori's driveway.

'Tori!' We hear as the door opens and a girl my age runs out, throwing herself at Tori.

'Dallas!' Tori catches her, spinning her around a little.

Following Dallas are two boys who look like male versions of Tori. I'm gonna guess they're Henry and Alex.

'Jade, Nicole, these are my cousins Dallas, Henry, and Alex. Primos, this is Jade and this is Nicole.' Tori introduces, pointing to each of us in turn.

I see Dallas smirk and she says something to Tori in Spanish, causing the half latina to blush and the two boys to chuckle. Tori answers back in Spanish, seeming to argue. They carry on while the twins just laugh.

'Don't worry, they're always like this.' Alex says.

Alex and Henry, like I said before, look like male versions of Tori. Brown hair, coffee brown eyes, tan skin. They're muscular and their hair is cut short, but longer than Taylor Lautner's in Twilight. The only way to tell them apart is by the birthmark on Alex's cheek.

Dallas looks somewhat like them, but not identical. She has brown hair with subtle red highlights, though I'm not sure if they're natural or not. She's tanned, but not as much as Tori or the twins. She has coffee brown eyes, but her left iris has a section that's a more caramel color.

'Is it always in Spanish?' I ask. It looks like Jade is trying to see how much of the argument she can pick out and translate.

'Only when it's about the people who are listening.' Henry says, grinning when Tori stops mid-sentence to shook him a glare to rival Jade's.

Alex elbows his brother and steps away while Tori leans in and whispers something in Spanish. Henry's eyes widen and he points at me. 'Ella?' Tori shakes her head and Henry points to Jade. 'Ella?' Tori nods and Henry gulps. 'Con tijeras?'

Tori nods again. 'Con tijeras.' She turns to the rest of us. 'Now let's stop loitering in the driveway. I wanna introduce you to my Tia Maria and my Tio Antonio.'

She grabs Jade's wrist, an action Dallas doesn't miss, and Jade doesn't pull her hand back, an action I don't miss.

'They're so blind.' I say, walking with Dallas inside.

My brother actually has the kind of eyes I described for Dallas. One of his irises has two shades of brown. I'm not sure what else to say other than sorry for the long absence and I'll try my best to regulate my updating again. Cette leaves on Friday so it shouldn't be too hard. Hasta luego, mi pastelitos. Good damn bye
