Chapter-II Stern Eyes
While retreating after parting ways with Lightning, Jason and Henry, Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete strays from their friends.
They were nearby a lake in the mountains looking for a way back to Sanctuary.
Vaan sighed. As he, Calculator and Purring Pete are walking through the City of Acme.
"Aw man, all paths back to Sanctuary are blocked." Vaan complaint.
"Tell me about me, I can't believe we ended up in this situation." Calculator said.
"And we've lost sight of the others, too." Purring Pete said.
"Guess we better find a way back." Vaan said as he, Calculator and Purring Pete head off.
Vaan kicked off he ground and grinded up a railing leading to the castle with Purring Pete and Calculator, after having gotten separated from the others. Vaan sighed again.
"I wish we had an airship. It'd make getting to Chaos so much easier..." Vaan said.
"Yeah, even a teleporting device that we can use." Calculator said.
"Even my own ship too." Purring Pete sighed. "I guess we better take it easy stay safe while we look out for each other."
"Yeah, you're right." Vaan said and they hurried off through the city, searching, steering clear of the manikins. And then they stopped.
"Someone's over there." Vaan said.
"Yeah, according my calculation that there are 3 figure approaching us." Calculator said as he look at his scanner.
"Who would that be?" Purring Pete asked.
And they they saw two girls and a Kangaroo. A Girl named Terra and she wears a blue bolero jacket with light blue sleeves over a white leotard, white boots, and a blue cape with wing. A woman named Wonder Woman and she wears has a red one-piece leotard held up by a modified brace of gold resembling a headless eagle's wings. She has a large golden belt that also resembles an eagle. She sports a golden Amazonian helmet and golden armor on her shoulders and arms, and a gold Bracelet. She also has knee-high greaves with white stripes that go up to her shins. And a Kangaroo named Jumpa and wears a crown and golden bracelet like Wonder Woman.
"Destroy..." Terra said dully.
"Must destroy all foes... Enemy... Destroy!" Jumpa shouted.
"For Amazon!" Wonder Woman shouted, she, Terra and Jumpa spotted Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete, ans their eyes greamed dangerously and charged. Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete shrieked in fear, and dodge their attacks.
"No choice." Purring Pete said as he, Vaan and Calculator bring their weapons and fight them, and then they defeated.
"Must... Destroy." Wonder Woman panted, a growl in her throat.
"Stop it already. We don't plan to be beat you!" Vaan shouted.
"Yeah, snap out of it! What's got into you?!" Purring Pete shouted
"Destroy...!" Suddenly, Terra, Wonder Woman and Jumpa screamed, grabbing their head.
"Hey! Are you all right?" Calculator reached out, but the two girls and a kangaroo vanished suddenly, as though they teleported, leaving him crouching on the floor while Vaan and Purring Pete help him up.
"What's their problem?" Purring Pete asked.
"No idea. Something didn't seem right with them." Calculator said.
"An enemy, huh? Who are Cosmos and Chaos anyway?" Vaan asked.
"Yeah well, we don't know why they summon us for... But I do know that I don't want to hit a girl." Calculator said.
"Aw, what's the matter? You still didn't have a girlfriend or a lover?" Purring Pete mocking him.
Calculator look so annoyed. "Man, you sounded just like that jar head from the Teen Titans. But at least, I can do this like last time." He said as blow raspberry at Purring Pete making him growl at him.
"Stop it, you two! You know we have to work together as a team, alright?" Vaan said as he saw Calculator and Purring Pete look away from each other and cross their arms and paws. He sighed. "Oh well, we gotta return to Sanctuary." He said, and they all head off.
Chapter II-Esper, Amazon and Kangaroo
Purring Pete sighed in frustration as he and his team arrived at Sky Fortress Bahamut.
"Still no path to Sanctuary." he said, sighing again.
"No... Not yet... Man, this stink... This is gonna be a long travel." Calculator said.
"Oh, you crack me up! 'Don't want to fight...' she says."
Vaan, Purring Pete and Calculator looked up. Six figures stood in the stands: Kefka, Felix, Cortex and...
"Those girls!" Calculator said in suprise, as the girls and the Kangaroo cowered under Kefka, Felix and Cortex.
Kefka place his foot to the ground in front of Terra. "Who are you and what did you do to the girl who was having such a blast beating the pulp out of people." He said menacingly.
We didn't... We don't..." Terra whimpered.
"Listen, you're a vicious beast. With vicious power, meant for mayhem and destruction! Now tell me, how is a person like that going to decide she 'doesn't want to fight'? You better straighten up, missy, or I'll hafta teach you a lesson!" Kefka said.
"He's right. And Diana, you have been exiled from Paradise Island and you have no where else to live, all the Amazonian will be conquerer and destroy everything they can come across, and once they do that... I have to get rid of you, first." Felix said.
"And Jumpa... You now became a member to me, you began to lose your way and began to work with me. But since that you gone so soft. I have to get rid of you." Cortex said.
"Please don't." Jumpa pleaded.
"What are they doing, Vaan?" Purring Pete asked.
"It seems like they're arguing with each other." Vaan said.
"Yeah... I think we better keep out of it." Calculator said.
"What!? And leave them like this!?" Purring Pete asked
"Look, we have to... Okay. So come on." Calculator said as he walk away, Vaan and Purring Pete look at each other and sighed, knowing that they have no choice, but to leave them.
"Alright... So much for Mr. Nice Kefka." He giggled.
Energy suddenly accumulates in Kefka's hands accompanied by a piercing sound. Felix is using his power from the book and Cortex is going to attack Jumpa.
"Sorry, babes. We only hurt you because you make us!" Felix said.
Kefka points his fingers at Terra and electricity crackles around his hands briefly before suddenly crackling around Terra. She screams out while clutching her head. Felix use fire from book and burn Wonder Woman as she scream and Cortex is fighting Jumpa as she scream too. Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete gasps and runs toward them, getting between Them
"Hey, leave 'er alone!" Vaan shouted. And then He and Purring Pete look at Calculator with a serious look.
"What?" Calculator asked and realized. "Oh, right... Okay... This is a bad idea to leave them. I get it." He said.
Felix scowled. Can't you see when someone's busy? Run along and play now!" He said
"I'll say it again, just in case you didn't hear us the first time: leave them alone." Vaan said.
"Yeah, hurting a woman is not nice." Calculator said.
"Even hurting a Kangaroo." Purring Pete said.
Kefka scowled. "Right. In that case, play DEAD!" He shouted.
They began to battle them. Calculator use his gadget and attack Felix. Purring Pete use his cards and attack Cortex. And Vaan use his and attack Kefka and they defeated them.
"You should have seen your face!" Kefka squealed with laughter, pointing at him and his team with once hand as he clutching his side with the others. "And here I thought you were just another prepubescent pretty boy, a high-tech geek and a funny cat... Incredible! That's the most fun I've had in minutes."
A whimper made Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete glance over. The fight had carried over in the direction of Terra and her team, who sat, cowering. Vaan and his team glanced at Kefka and his own team, who were still laughing. Then Vaan and his team grab Terra and team.
"Huh?"
"We gotta go! We'll finish this next time! For now, we'll just gonna take the girl and her friends. Catch ya later!" Vaan called out, and the six ran off.
Kefka is waving back for a moment. While Felix and Cortex have their jaw dropped after they left with Terra and her team.
Yeah, it's been a pleasure!" He said.
"Uh... I think they're gone with them." Felix noted.
"Wait, WHAT!?" Kefka shouted.
"Looks like we've been fooled by them and let them go with them." Cortex said.
"Well fine, They just go on and take them then." Kefka said as floats up into the air in his hammock position again.
"Yeah, you're right. That Amazon was fooled from my lie and Cortex's. After she and her Kangaroo lost her memories about what happen and the Justice League." Felix said.
"After all, They always comes running straight back into ours arms anyway." Cortex said.
What do I care. Go on! Scram! Cheeky brat, that one... Thinks they can just waltz in and card off anybody they pleases..." Kefka said.
"Who does they think they are? Never even got a chance to say we weren't sorry." Felix said.
"Yeah, totally." Kefka agreed.
Chapter-III Terra, Diana and Jumpa
Vaan and the others ran through the city of Metropolis. Then they skidded to a halt, and Terra and her team down.
"I'm sure you're tired, but just a little more. You don't want to get caught, do you?" Vaan said.
"But...even if we run..." Terra began.
"We'll be caught by them..." Wonder Woman finished.
"You'd get caught? You're wrong, you run so that you DON'T get caught." Purring Pete said, and pressed onwards.
The two are running through the room out of breath. After a few seconds, they stop to catch their breath
"Phew... This should be far enough away they won't find us. Oh, hey! I'm Vaan." He said.
"I'm Noah Kuttler, but you can called me Calculator." He said.
"I'm Purring Pete. And you are." He said. As he and his team saw Terra and her team whimpered.
"Okay..." Purring Pete muttered.
"You're...one of Cosmos's warriors, superheroes and animals." Wonder Woman said.
"Hm? Ah, yeah, we are." Calculator responded.
"Then, please...kill us." Terra begged. Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete stared. "I don't want to fight anymore. I don't want to hurt people, or destroy things anymore. So please!"
"I Dishonored myself for the Amazon, and I failed everything. I have nothing to go on as an Amazon, so... Please... End my left." Wonder Woman said.
"I don't want hurt anymore, it's too much... And I want you all to end me!" Jumpa said.
Vaan and his team continued stared. "Couldn't you just stop fighting, and not use your powers? I mean, that's gotta be better than the alternative." Vaan said.
Terra and her team stared in confused. "What do you mean? We're... You're our enemies. Aren't you?" Terra said.
"People are people aren't they? It doesn't matter what 'side' you're on." Calculator explained.
"Back there, it uh... it looked like you were in trouble. So I did what I thought was right and got you out. I mean, I knew you were on the other side, but... What difference does that make, ya know?" Purring Pete explained.
"You...don't care?" Jumpa said, still looking confused.
"Nah, not really. It doesn't change anything, does it? What does you being in trouble have to do with Chaos or Cosmos?" Vaan pointed out.
"Well, I mean we're both soldiers, superhero, villains and animals, and we were summoned here to fight." Wonder Woman said.
"Okay. Sure, we were summoned here to fight. But that doesn't mean I'm just gonna throw away what I believe in. I decided to help you because that's what I wanted to do. And I have no intention of hurting you. That's not me. Listen...don't think about things so hard, alright? You don't wanna end up just doing whatever people tell you to, do you. You're different from me and my team. You're strong." Calculator said.
"You can make your own decisions. You already have. You don't want to fight." Vaan said.
"My own...decisions." Terra muttered.
"Listen, you may have Dishonored yourself, but in order to reclaim your honor, you have to joined the Justice League. They are a group of superheroes and they might accept you someday." Calculator said.
"Are you sure." Wonder Woman said.
"Positive." Calculator said.
"Listen, Kangaroo. You may have hurt innocent people for your actions, but you need to forgive yourself for what you done. And maybe... They'll forgive you soon." Purring Pete said. As he and his team began to walk away.
"Where are you going?" Terra asked.
They stopped. "This battle's gonna be over before you know it. And I can already tell you Cosmos is gonna be the winner. Once Chaos is outta the picture, things oughta settle down a little bit. And then we'll all be able to go home, right. Go somewhere safe and hide out until all this is over. Somewhere where you won't have to fight. We'll come and find you before we go to fight Chaos. Then you can come back to see Cosmos with the rest of us." Vaan explained.
"To see...Cosmos?" Wonder Woman said in confused.
"Yeah. If you become one of her warriors, superheroes and animals, you should be able to go back to wherever you came from too." Purring Pete said.
"Anyway, we better get going. We've still got some fighting left to do. Find somewhere to lay low. We'll be back for you." Calculator said. And continued with his team.
"Vaan... Noah... Pete." Terra muttured.
They turned back to Terra and her team. "Yeah? What is it?" Vaan asked.
"My name's...Terra." she said.
"I'm Wonder Woman... But you can call me Diana." Wonder Woman said.
"I'm Jumpa." She said?
"Terra... Diana... Jumpa..." Vaan, Calculator and Purring Pete smiled. "Nice to meet you, girls." Vaan said, and continued off with his team.
Chapter IV-The Warriors, Superhero and Animal of Cosmos
Terra, Wonder Woman and Jumpa sat down, watching the spot where Vaan and his team vanished.
"Vaan said... 'You can make your own decisions. You already have. You don't want to fight.' Is that truly...my will?"
"I don't know. But Noah said... Reclaimed my honor and joined the Justice League, I don't know who they are." Wonder Woman said.
"Pete said... To forgive myself for what I done... And I don't know how to forgive me." Jumpa said.
Suddenly, a shriek split the air. They look up, and clambered off the rock. A second later, it shattered as a manikin struck it. More Manikins emerged from the trees, baring their fangs, knuckle-walking towards them. "Those are... Manikins? Where are they-" Terra began.
Terra, Wonder Woman and Jumpa's eyes widened. "They're headed straight for Cosmos's throne! Cosmos's warriors will fall if she does... Noah and his team!" Wonder Woman panicked.
They stared at their weapons. Suddenly, their eyes gleamed. "We'll use our power for everyone!" Terra shouted.
The Manikin attacked. Terra, Wonder Woman and Jumpa ducked and attack them withtheir weapons, and destroy the manikins. The others shoved it aside and lashed out. Terra and her team gasped as one manikin's claws raked their shoulders. Then their eyes widened fearfully, as fhey spotted the green liquid qround their wounds. The Manikin hissed as the poison dripped from its claws.
"We can't..." Wonder Woman charged forward, staggering.
"We can't let you pass us to reach Cosmos's throne. We will fight.. not to destroy, but to protect!" Terra lunged forward, and swung. The two Manikins screamsed as their bodies were severed severely. Terra and her team stood there, breathing heavily. Then they kneeled over.
"Vaan... Noah... Pete." They said weakly, as their vision blurred. The bushes parted. "Vaan... Noah... Pete..." they said hopefully. However, instead, a two different figure stood before them. They couldn't makw out their face. Their eyes closed, just as they lefted them in their arms.
Cosmos stared at Terra, Wonder Woman and Jumpa in Superman and Captain Carrot's arms. "They were fighting the Manikins." Superman explained. Cosmos nodded silently.
"But why...?" Warrior of Light looked confused
"I sense a strong conviction in them. They no longer wishes to fight. They want peace, freedom and light.
"Cosmos... You realize this three are warrior, supervillain and animal of Chaos." Captain Carrot said.
"Yes. But even so, she is also a warrior who longs to bring an end to this long war. I do not wish that dream to be extinguished." Cosmos said. Her hand glowed with an aura, which passed around Wonder Woman, Terra and Jumpa. "Rest, you three. Until you are well. "When you awaken, you can choose a new path... of your own, free will."
