Christmas 1998 Cersei/Jaime Age early 20s Joffrey age four

Jaime smiled at his lover/sister as they both panted for breath after a very intense lovemaking session. Cersei nestled into his arms and the two settled into a comfortable silence for a few moments before she spoke.

"Jaime, love could you do me a favor please?"

"Of course, you know I would do anything for you."

"I really want to get Joffrey a Furby for Christmas. Could you pick one up for me tomorrow on your day off?"

"Whats a Furby?" asked Jaime.

"A really cute robotic toy that I just know Joffrey will love!"

"Sure I will go into Toys R Us tomorrow and quickly pick one up for you." Jaime replied naively.

The next day after eating his breakfast, Jaime headed to Toy's R Us as soon as they opened. He was going to quickly get that Furby thingy for Cersei and then if Cersei wasn't busy hopefully he would get a special thank you.

To his annoyance, they had none there." "Sold out." one of the workers there informed him.

Jaime sighed but was not defeated. He headed to another store. Same problem there. He headed to several more stores in the city, all were sold out. Eventually, he had visited all the toy stores and other possible carriers like Walmart, etc, in the city, and so he stopped for a late lunch. After getting a full stomach his energy was renewed and he felt the need to look in more stores. He couldn't let Cersei down. So with that, he headed to stores in other cities.

Several more hours and yet dozens of more stores later he was feeling very defeated when he headed into yet another Toys R Us. It was late now, nearly ten pm and the store was closing in less than a half hour.

Finally, he had some success. Jaime spotted it at the end of the aisle. He smiled, relieved that he wouldn't have to head to even further away toy stores tomorrow. However, just as he got in range to grab it, as his fingers began to touch it, a teenage boy came from around the corner and grabbed it.

"Hey, I really need that!" protested Jaime.

"So do I, pretty boy." replied the blue-eyed man who had a patch over one eye.

"Aren't you a bit too old for toys?" asked Jaime

"Aren't you?" retorted the boy.

"I need it for my so...nephew."

"Well, sorry, I'm a pirate and I'm gonna sell this baby on eBay." Replied the boy smirking at him.

"This isn't the 1700's, wearing an eye patch doesn't make you a pirate...but whats eBay? " asked Jaime curiously.

"No, but buying hot product items and reselling things for a huge profit, does make me a pirate. eBay is an internet site where you sell stuff. Now, shouldn't you be heading to the clubs your type frolic at this time of night?"

Before Jaime could think of a retort, the boy with the eye patch was gone along with Jaime's last chance to buy the toy.

Jaime sighed as he headed back to his car defeated. He was relieved he had gotten internet just this past year. Hopefully this time it would be of use to him. He hadn't gotten anything but insulting comments over his screen name the rare times he used it, mostly in AOL chatrooms out of boredom.

Upon arriving home, he microwaved some hot pockets as he logged on his computer. Once his internet finally connected he had already finished one hot pocket and was eating the second as he loaded the website the boy had mentioned. He decided to use the same screen name as his AOL chatroom handle, Lovemysister4ever. Then he quickly created a password, he decided he wanted something easy to remember. So, he settled on the date he first met the love of his life. So he entered the day of his conception in as his password.

Having finished that he began to browse the site. He yelled out a few cuss words once he saw the pricing on the item. Ranging from several hundred to nearly a thousand dollars for a toy that retailed for around forty dollars. He could have given Cersei a call and asked her if there were any other toys that would suffice, however being that he had more money then brains he decided to buy one of them regardless.

Finally, he figured out how to organize the search results to show cheapest first and then clicked on the first listing. It happened to be from screenname KingOfThePirates and had just been listed less than an hour ago. 'What was with peoples sudden obsession with pirates?' Jaime wondered.

Jaime looked around on the site some and noticed there was an option to set a max bid where eBay would automatically keep outbidding the next person on your behalf until it reached a set amount. He set the amount to a ridiculously high amount of 10,000 to be sure he would be the winner in the end.

A few days later he won the item. He ended up paying a whopping ninety-eight hundred dollars. For a forty dollar toy. He would later discover he had paid over ten times what anyone else had paid for the toy. It was almost as if someone had bid against him just to get his bid up. However, at this moment in time, he was happy to have won the item, and not have to disappoint Cersei, money be damned.

Besides that, luck was obviously on Jaime's side. The next day when Jaime opened his email he saw that the seller had emailed him his payment address. Jaime was thrilled to see the seller was located within a twenty-minute drive of him. Perhaps he could arrange a local pickup and save money on shipping as well as avoid the worry of the item getting lost in shipment during the holiday season.
