(A/N Lol, whoops, I forgot that Lissa was dating Fang in the first chapter. So, forget that I mentioned her dating Fang because I've been writing during class and I have like three chapters written without them together already. And even though Dylan cheated on Max, she didn't think it was a big deal because they'd been friends and knew it probably wouldn't work out. On with the show. Max: For once I agree. On with the show! Mrs. Fangslastname: You always have to say something, don't you?)

Jake and I walked towards the food court, but on the way, we passed Aeropostale, which was a mistake. We heard Nudge extatically squealing because of of a good deal on some jeans. "Lets walk by and home she doesn't -" Jacob was interrupted by Nudge. "MAX," she shouted. Fang stood there awkwardly with his hands in the pockets of his, Iggys, green hoodie. Taliyah and Lissa were talking to Iggy about some Plain White Tees song.

Reluctantly, I walked through the doors and to Fang."You can go to Hot Topic if you want." Fang looked at me "Anywhere's better than here." He walked out of the unnessecarily bright store.

"Max," Nudge approached me with an arm full of clothes. "Should I get both of these skinny jeans? One's lightwash and one's darkwash. Oh! And there's these too, they're pre-ripped. And then I was looking at this shirt, it's bright green, but I think I could wear it." This happens every time we bring her to the mall... "But then there's this pink one, it comes in white, black, and blue. Back to the skinny jeans, should I get one that's in between? Or. Max, are you listening?

I have to admit that after a while, I just have to tune her out, She's just a bunch of white noise. It's a bit much to take, what with the ADD-like subject changes and rambling. "Ugh, Nudge... Maybe the darkwash jeans and the white shirt? It would be great for school."

"But, Max, I don't WANT something for school."

"Well don't get them then!" I said and walked over to Iggy, Lissa, and Taliyah. Have I expressed my hate of Lissa yet?

Eventually, Nudge made up her mind and I don't even know what she ended up getting. We went to the food court to eat and sat there after we ate for fifteen minutes.

Fang and I decided to go home together because Iggy and Nudge were going with Jake, Lissa, and Taliyah to the beach since it was only 7:00.

Fang and I got in my car and drove homeward. "So, it's quiet," I said.

"Yep, he replied,"how much longer?"

"About seven miles, we literally just got in the car." I slammed on the brakes. The car in front of us had stopped out of nowhere. "Are you oka-" Fang started to ask me, but the car behind us hadn't stopped. I heard a loud THUD and felt my ribs hit the steering wheel and the seat belt pulling me back. I looked over to Fang, and he had a cut from his ear to the middle of his cheek.

"Fang?" I whispered. I wanted to hear something, to make sure of... I don't know. "Yeah, Maxie?" He hadn't called me Maxie since we were, like, nine. "You're bleeding. But it's not bad," I said. "Well, I sort of hit my head on the window." He did a weird smile. Not like a 'haha' smile but a 'we're okay' smile.

"What should we do?" I asked him. He shrugged and got out of the car, but stumbled a bit. I also got out of the car to see a woman who looked to be about 28. She had curly dark brown hair and blue-green eyes.

"I'm so sorry! I was opening a juice box for one of my kids and wasn't paying any attention." She looked like she was close to tears. I looked around her to the mini-van that was behind my car and saw three kids, one in the front and two in the back.

I guess she saw me looking because she introduced herself. "I'm Sarah and the boy in the front seat is Greyson, the girl in the backseat is Meghan, and my youngest is Lucas, who's three." She shook our hands.

"I'm Max and this is..." I motioned to Fang.

"Uh, Fang. Or Nick. Sometimes Fnick." He smiled and she laughed. "But, the damage doesn't look that bad, it's just the bumper." I said. "Um, here's," Sarah fumbled around in her purse,"money to cover any damages. And Fang, here's an alcohol wipe and a Band-Aid for your face."

I counted the money and it added up to 450 dollars. "Sarah, this really isn't necessary." I started to hand her the money back. And after convincing her to take a hundred back, she looked at Fang. "Fang, don't put the wipe in your mouth. Maybe you could wipe your face with it?" She giggled and I couldn't help but laugh. "It takes the edge off, ya know?" Fang and his cleverness.

"Oh, I almost forgot! How old are you two?" Sarah smiled. "Well, I'm seventeen and Fnick is sixteen." I answered her. "Actually, she turned seventeen last month, August sixth, and I'll be seventeen on the sixth of October." Fang told her. I'll admit, I made it sound that I was older than him by a margin. "That's cool, you're exactly two months apart. Like soulmates or something," Sarah laughed a little,"that's cute." "Um, we're not dating..." I looked at Fang. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I just thought..."

FANGs POV

I smiled. It killed me to hear her say that. I love Max with all my heart. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her or see her. How could she not notice? Maybe because I can't tell her or try to without almost dying so... But it's not like I want to get in her pants or hit it and quit it, but I love

her. I couldn't leave her like that if I tried. I want to spend the rest of my life with this girl. It hurts so much. Having that kind of love for a person, but not having it in return. Or knowing that you have it in return. But whatever.

MAXs POV

After three seconds (I counted) Sarah gave us her full name and number. Sarah Cecily Jepson. I gave her my name and number and then Fang and I got back in the car. "Max, are you sure you're okay? You don't look well." Fang said as I put the keys into the ignition.

"My ribs kill, but otherwise I'm fine. Are you concussed?" I asked him and he smiled. "No, Mrs. Mcglaughlin." He asked.

(Story Time: So last year, all of the schools had to teach us the warning signs of a concussion and what to do if you get one. I guess concussions can lead to health problems which can lead to a lawsuit, the whole nine yards. Now every time during P.E., if someone gets hit in the head. she asks if they're concussed. It's partly joking, partly serious, like everything.)

"Well, you know," I started," If you feel confused, irritable, have a headache, short term memory loss, or anything of that sort, then you may have a concussion."

"Max, I'm more concerned about your ribs than my head, it's already broken up there." Fang tapped his head and went cross-eyed. "Should we go to the hospital?" I asked him, nervously. "Um, sure.' He looked out the window.
