Lucas Pov:

Do you believe we choose the moment in our lives or the moment in our lives choose us ….. Think about it, do you believe one moment could change, alter your life forever ?I believe they can .

I'm a married nineteen year old ,father of a four year old ,lost a woman I loved deeply , and haven't had contact with my brother in four years and all because of one moment that changed all are lives forever .

I sighed deeply as I walked to the center of the river Court Recalling the first time my uncle brought me here , back when things were so much simpler back when the world made sense.

My life is what some people would consider respectable . I have a son and a beautiful wife that love me dearly and passion for a game I could play since I learned how to walk, but I could feel it some sinking empty feeling that twisted inside me which only got worse by the years .

At first I didn't care I would just ignore the feeling, but then it started to intervene with my basketball and I new I had to mend the problem especially with the NBA drafts coming up soon . Thus, I decided to head home hoping that I would find the passion for the game once more .

So now here I am in the spot that had always been special to me since the first time my uncle Keith brought me , it allowed me to think and get peace when I needed, but as I grow older it began to also hold special memories .

I remember the first time my uncle's Keith brought me here with my first basketball I had ever possessed . Recall the years when mouth and jimmy would pretend to be news announcers while me and skittles played a little one on one . I remember when me and my brother Nathan played a little one on one and I recollect the day I left the court dribbling my ball headphones in my ears and almost dying when a certain curly blond almost ran me over.

God I had such beautiful, amazing times here, but one would forever stick out to me the most"

" Flashback:

"Boys against girls !" Haley shouted, taking off her coat .

" Oh am game !" Peyton said following her activities .

" Are you certain you ladies can handle us ." Nathan said with a little smirk on his face .

" Ps please, can you handle us ?" Haley said matching his smirk.

" Oh, it's okay , hales will go gentle on them so they won't cry later." Peyton said with a chuckle .

" Fine, but you're the ones who are going to be crying after ." I said as I through the ball to Nathan.

We must have been playing for a long time, only I didn't notice am sure none of us did . Let me tell you who ever said girls can't play sports is a lie Peyton and Haley were doing great on the court we were even," game point ." Nathan shouted, hurling the ball to my direction .

" I trust you're ready to lose ." I said side stepping Haley and then coming face to face with Peyton . It was all laugh and giggles as I attempted to dodge her, but was unsuccessful both our hands were on the ball are face closely together . It was in that moment that the world stood still for a little while and then ," I love you Lucas Scott," she whispered suddenly .I saw her eyes widen and am pretty sure mines were too , both of us let go of the ball at tdoesame time causing it to hit the floor and rolling off .

I grabbed Peyton by her waist, looking deep into her green orbs ,' I love you in Payton Swyar ." I whispered softly as I withdrew her lips with mine in a soft but passionate kiss.

' Yes ," Haley shouted, making me and Peyton pull apart ," told you wed when she said truphitly .

" Dude, what the hell!" Nathan groaned .

Peyton chuckled and untangled herself from me heading towards Haley giving her a high Figh and murmuring 'nice one. '

We may have lost the game, but I dint care I got something so much more honest , it was the first time we said I love you to each other and I will never forget it!"

Something crashing into my body snapped me out of my thoughts sending both our bodies crashing on the concrete floor," where the hell is she did you hurt her cause if you did God so help me -"

" Nathan ?" I inquired, surprised .

" No shit sherlock were the hell is Peyton!" he thundered .

" How the hell am I suppose to know !" I bit back .

" Nathan!" a different voice shouted ," they decided to go to Karens cafe instead they haven't come here ." Haley said priding Nathan off me helping him to his feet as I managed the same

" Gaze Nathan you act as if he was going to murder ." I heard Brooke say as she stuck out next to me .

" Considering his track record you never know ," he snapped , glaring at me , " we do not trust him."

" Huh, that's wired considering your wife thinks differently " Brooke said .

Nathans head snapped to Haleys direction hurt and confusion written all over his features," what the hell is she babbling about? "

She couldn't seem to say anything so Brooke spoke once more ," your wife has been calling and meeting up with Lucas every friday for the past six months.

" Tell me she's laying. "He pleaded looking intensely at his wife . Silence was her awnser ,and by the anger in his face he new what it meant turning back to me he said, " what the hell Lucas you have no business talking to my wife , what the hell are you even doing here !

" Oh am sorry king, Nathan I didn't know I needed your permission to stay in a free country !" I snapped back returning the glare .

" You don't belong here ." He roared ,"

" Sorry Nathan but you don't get to say where I can't and can stay!"

" Fine he shouted frustrated ," do whatever hell makes you happy, but stay the hell away from my family !"

I smirked ," good so then we won't have any problems with pey-

The name wasn't even out my mouth when he was lifting me up by the collar I saw so much anger in his eyes ," especially Peyton ." He said dangoursy glaring at me as I did the same .

" I didn't come here for Peyton. " I said, glaring back at him.

"Good then we wont have a problem. " he injected letting me go .

" Nathan I -

" well talk about it when we get home and damn it Haley you better hope Peyton dosnt find out, God only knows how she's going to react if she dose. " he told her turning on his heals and walking away, she sighed bowed her head and followd her husband.

I sighed, thinking back on the past back to that moment when Brooke got pregnant and changed not only my life, but of all those around us and how different things would have been if she didn't ...

If you could go back and change one thing from your past would you? And if you did, would that change make your life better? Or would that change breaks your heart or the heart of another. Would you have chosen an entirely diffrent path or would you change one thing one moment that you always looked back on …
