Since Naruto was reincarnated as Midoriya Nagisa, there had been only a handful of times when she entered her father's study. Most of those times was with her mother and twin brother since Izuku always wanted to watch those videos of All Might rescuing people. The other time was when she played hide and seek with her twin brother, who always followed their parent's rules about not playing into the office when Hisashi was in the apartment.

This was actually the first time that Nagisa was in her father's office when he was in the apartment. She probably wouldn't be hiding here if she didn't know this was her perfect chance of not being found by her twin brother.

I don't know why Dad doesn't let us come here when he is at home. Nagisa chewed on her bottom lip and darted her eyes to the door. The door to their bedroom slammed open and channelling chakra into her ear, she could hear her brother searching frantically for her. It really was a wonder how her twin could never figure out that she kept breaking their parent's rules about the apartment.

"Have you ever stop to think your second father is hiding something from you? You know that man is shifty." Kurama said dryly as Nagisa stood on her tip toes and picked up one of the files that their father had brought home. The desire to defend her father was high, but the memory of the night before made her hesitate. Something about the way he asked her about her dream made her think Hisashi would have done something terrible if she chose the wrong answer.

"I have to trust my own family, shouldn't I? Hisashi is the only father figure I ever had." Nagisa replied quickly, flipping open the file. As Naruto Uzumaki, Iruka-sensei and Kakashi-sensei had been her brother figures, Sasuke had been her best friend and more while Jiraiya had been like an uncle and grandfather mixed into one. Hisashi was the only person both Nagisa and Naruto could call her father.

He might not always be there but he was there, unlike her first father.

Kurama kept quiet as Nagisa began to skim read through the file. There were names of people she didn't know along with their ages and their Quirks. Some of those people had crosses while other people had small notes that analysed or theorized their abilities. It made her wonder what exactly did Hisashi do for a living, because Nagisa knew no business man would need this.

She really had a bad feeling about their father's job.

"Nagi-chan! Where are you?" Izuku cried out. "I give up!"

Nagisa chewed on her bottom lip and tip toed, sliding the file back into the exact place to where their father placed it. She hoped her father never figured out she had been inside his office when she wasn't supposed to be there. Pressing her lips into a thin line, she placed her hands into her pockets and walked out of the room.

She made sure to close the door quietly and quietly snuck up on her panicking brother, tapping him on the shoulder. Her brother screamed, jumping up in fright and alerting their parents that Izuku was frightened. It was so easy to scare Izuku, which was actually quite bad when Nagisa thought about it. Heroes shouldn't be scared of anything and if her brother decided to become a hero, then she needed to break him out of his habit.

"Where were you?" Her brother cried.

"In Mummy and Daddy's room," she lied. Izuku pouted and looked put out at the fact that he didn't think of going into their parent's room. There was no way Nagisa was going to tell her baby brother that she went into their father's office. Questions would arise and at the age of three, Izuku had the habit of spilling everything to their parents.

There was no way Nagisa was going to allow Izuku to get her into trouble with their parents.

"Can we play with my All Might—"

Nagisa furiously shook her head at her brother and held her hand up, silencing the boy before darting her eyes towards the living room. Their parents seemed to be engrossed with the television screen. Their mother had her head on their father's shoulder, a happy smile playing on her lips as they discussed about the ways in which the story could change.

"Izuku-niisan, we can't ever play with any of your hero figurines when Daddy is here," Nagisa whispered. Her brother looked hurt with her comment and normally she would apologize or make it up to him, but those files scared her. The way those notes were written made her think that their old man wasn't a very good man.

She had no idea about what kind of man their father was, but Nagisa was going to do everything in her power to figure it out.

"Daddy doesn't like All Might or any hero," her brother whispered sadly.

Nagisa hugged her brother and flickered her eyes back to their father. This was a new experience for her. As Naruto Uzumaki, she never had to worry about a parent trying to stop her sibling from accomplishing their dream. By being the first born for her first set of parents and them dying early, Naruto escaped that fear. Now all she could do was worry about her brother.

She wished she had someone to talk about her worries, but Nagisa didn't want to send her father to prison. It would be the right thing to do, the most heroic thing to do but she loved him. Hisashi might be up to no good but he gave her hugs and praised her for her actions.

He loved her and Izuku even if he had a terrible way of showing it.

"Nagi-chan, I'm not sad!" Her brother said frantically and the little girl hiccupped, wishing she could blame the whole thing on him. All Nagisa could do was smile like Naruto Uzumaki used to and reassure her baby brother that she was fine.

It was the only thing she could do because Izuku might give up his dreams if he ever found out that their father wasn't some nice businessman. The last thing Nagisa wanted was for her brother to give up on his dream of becoming a hero.

She would do everything in her power to make sure that Izuku became a hero even if it meant making sure that he kept his mouth quiet about his dream.

When Izuku decided to go and play with the other boys in the playground, Nagisa decided to wander around the city. She knew she should make sure that stupid Katsuki didn't do anything to her brother, but the thought of their father not being a good man tore her apart. Whenever Naruto Uzumaki used to get upset, she would find some training ground and fight her clones till she was exhausted.

Nagisa didn't have the same luxury, which was why she decided to wander around the city to clear her mind. Was it stupid of her to do this? It most likely was stupid of her to do this. She took in another deep breath and flickered her eyes at the new neighbourhood that she took a turn to.

This neighbourhood reminded her of those clan compounds in Konoha.

'Why couldn't you have been reborn to a rich family?' Kurama grumbled and Nagisa rolled her eyes. Of course the damn fox was jealous of the people living here. He probably thought it was beneath them to be living in a small cramp apartment, where she shared a room with her twin brother. Despite the potential of their father being a bad guy, Nagisa loved her life.

She had a loving mother and a cute little brother, which was more than anyone could ever say.

"Stupid old man!"

Nagisa blinked and swirled her head around. Blue eyes grew large at the sight of a grumpy red-haired boy kicking the rock, hands balled into a fist and turquoise eyes flared with so much anger. She felt her throat tightened when she caught sight of distinct burnt marks on his body. Nagisa wasn't a doctor but she think that the boy needed to get patch up.

"You should go and see a doctor," Nagisa declared, drawing the boy's attention on her. Turquoise eyes landed on her, taking in the sight of the orange shirt and blue overalls that Inko forced her to wear before Izuku and her went to the park. His eyes lingered on the whisker marks before he snorted.

"You're just a baby," the boy declared. "You should just go home to your parents. You have no clue about what you are talking about."

She tilted her head and stared at his right arm. "I might be three but I'm not an idiot. Your arms tells me that you got injured and I don't know first aid…so you need to go to the doctor before those marks become permanent."

"Three?" The boy snorted. "I have got a three-year-old brother but he doesn't talk the way you do…and I'm not taking advice from a little baby."

"My name is Midoriya Nagisa and I'm not a baby!" The boy rolled his eyes and the blond-haired girl placed her hands on her hips, chest puffed up and blue eyes flaring with anger. "And you're injured! Why don't you want to go to the damn hospital?"

"And have that stupid old man think I couldn't handle his training? Like hell I will go to the hospital and be questioned by those nurses and have those reporters swam over me," the boy grumbled. He stumbled and fell on the ground, earning a frown from Nagisa.

She dashed towards the boy and placed his larger arm over her shoulder, before putting him against one of the nearby trees. Nagisa wished she studied first-aid or that Naruto knew something about first-aid, but Naruto relied on Sakura during the war. She never thought there would be a day when she would need to learn first aid.

"So you got these wounds from training? What are you training to be?" Nagisa questioned, taking a seat on the ground. It probably was stupid of her to talk to some boy that insulted her by reminding her of her physical age, but she was bored and worried about her own family. It would be nice to get her mind off of things.

The boy frowned and narrowed his eyes at her. "And why should I tell a baby anything?"

"Because you are hurt and I will probably call the police and the ambulance if you don't answer my question," Nagisa replied swiftly. Turquoise eyes widened as the little girl smiled widely at him, daring him to take a chance on whether she would actually do it or not. It probably was underhanded of her to do this but she was curious to know what he was training to be.

She also liked to make a point for him to realize she wasn't a baby.

'Someone is insulted when a boy points out his observation," Kurama observed. Nagisa stopped herself from snapping at the fox because there was some truth behind his comment. It upset her that the age of her mind didn't match with her body. The most terrible thing about having all her memories about her previous life was that she was experiencing her childhood all over again.

She was not looking forward of doing puberty all over again.

"Yes, I got it from training and my old man is training me to be a hero greater than All Might," the boy replied bitterly. Nagisa frowned, placed her small hands on her knees and tilted her head at him. Why wasn't he happy that his father was training him to become a hero? Izuku would kill to have the same opportunity as him and she would enjoy not lying to her father about her dream.

Nagisa blinked when she realized that the older boy admitted that his father was training him to be a better hero than All Might.

"You don't seem happy about it," Nagisa commented.

The boy snorted and gestured to his wounds. "You think I would be happy when my shitty old man keeps yelling at me for being disappointment for not doing his moves in a higher temperature? Bastards calls me weak and reminds me every day that I'm a disappointment and that I probably can't be a hero."

"But you aren't weak." The boy blinked and Nagisa smiled at him, revealing her pearly white teeth to him. Most people would probably ignore his words, telling him that he should man up or not care about his problems. But Nagisa remembered Hinata. Sweet Hinata who was called weak by her father because she didn't have the heart of a shinobi.

She didn't know him but Nagisa was not going to let him think that he was weak. Naruto Uzumaki wouldn't allow it on a stranger and so would Nagisa. She was still Naruto Uzumaki, the girl that liked to butt herself into other people's business.

"You don't even know me."

Nagisa nodded. "I know but I bet that you have a hidden strength inside of you that makes you stronger than what your father thinks of you. You just need to find it."

"I must be insane if I'm taking advice from a kid that can't even spell…"

"I can spell my own name and I can read." The boy had the decency to flush red in embarrassment while Nagisa looked up at the clear blue sky. She didn't know the time but she probably should head back to her area, before Izuku become upset. Her brother never did like it when he couldn't find her or to go back home without her. He probably would tell their parents that she wandered off again.

"You're smart for a baby."

"Not a baby," Nagisa declared. "And do you want to be a hero?"

"No," the boy replied immediately. "Heroes don't actually exist and the ones that you see right now is a bunch of crap. You could be the most abusive person in the world and still become a hero—heroes don't actually save anyone from the goodness of their heart."

The blond-haired girl tilted her head and regarded the boy. This was probably the first time Nagisa ever heard a child talking bad about heroes. She knew her father disliked heroes but he never actually vocalized it, until Izuku declared he wanted to become hero like All Might. All the kids in the nursery school wanted to become heroes even if the chances of them becoming heroes was actually low.

Nagisa wanted to become a hero because she wanted to protect her brother in the field and to save as many people as she could like Naruto did.

"Then why don't you become a hero that actually saves people?" The boy blinked his eyes and the blond-haired girl locked her eyes on the wandering clouds, breathing in the fresh air. "Why don't you become your definition of a hero? If you think that the heroes on television are a fake then why don't you show the world what you think a hero should be."

The boy gawked at her and frowned.

"Are you sure that you are three?" he asked.

Nagisa grinned and tapped her head. "My parents says that I am an old soul."

It was the truth because while this physical body might have been born nearly four years ago, her soul was now living a second time. She didn't know why God allowed her a second chance in life but Nagisa was going to make the best of her second life.

She was going to live passed the age of seventeen and become the best hero that this world had ever seen.

Their parents didn't notice anything was wrong with Izuku as he chatted about what he did with Katsuki and the other boys in their neighbourhood. Inko was too busy laughing at the antics of the boys while Hisashi was drinking his coffee and reading the newspaper. Only Nagisa paid notice of the fact that her brother's eyes didn't seem to hold the same glint as always.

She could see the visible sadness in them.

"And what did you do in the playground, Nagi-chan?" Her mother asked as she handed her the bowl of rice. Izuku shifted in his seat, green eyes avoiding everyone and Nagisa silently cursed her brother for being so obvious about the fact she wasn't with him. There was no need for him to feel guilty over the fact she didn't play with him and the other boys.

He offered to take her with him and Nagisa turned it down, not wanting to watch her brother make a fool of himself.

"I was reading a book," Nagisa replied. It wasn't a complete lie since she did read a book after returning from her little wander around the city. She just didn't do the whole following Bakugou like he was the greatest person in the whole wide world. Honestly Nagisa had better things to do then worship the ground that brat walked on.

Her father lowered his newspaper and flickered his eyes towards their mother. "You never mentioned that Nagi-chan and Izuku-kun have started to read."

Nagisa didn't miss the flinch from Izuku and made a mental note to question her brother.

"Izuku can only read some characters," Inko admitted. "But Nagi-chan is a surprise. The nursery teachers made an observation that Nagi-chan is really advance when it came to reading the characters. The only problem she has is with Kanji but even then it isn't a big problem since she is still so young."

Their father nodded and focused his eyes on her, smiling in pride at the fact that they were able to do this much. Was it wrong that Nagisa felt satisfaction of having her father beam at her with pride? She knew she should act modest or pretend that it wasn't a big deal and it really wasn't a big deal. Nagisa knew she could read properly because of her memories of Naruto.

The only reason she struggled with Kanji was because Naruto never paid much attention or care towards it.

"That's my daughter," Hisashi declared. "And Izuku? Do you want me to help you catch up to the same speed as your sister?"

Izuku beamed and vigorously nodded while their mother smiled at their father. Nagisa tilted her head and flickered her eyes between her two parents. It made her happy to know that her parents loved each other but she really didn't want to cover her ears tonight. She knew the smile directed by her mother reminded Nagisa of the times Naruto directed it to Gaara. They had been thinking of ways in which they could be together and still had their dreams.

Nagisa wondered if Gaara ever got married after Naruto's death.

"And what about you, Daddy? What did you do today besides watching T.V with Mummy?" Nagisa asked, tilting her head at her father. Did he go out to work? And if he did go out to work then did he take those files with him? She hoped not. Nagisa wanted to read those files more and get a better understanding of what their father did for a living.

"I had a conference in my study," her father replied. "And I may need to take a small trip in the next couple of days. There is a shipment that I have to bring over to my company and if I am late with this shipment then the company won't be successful in the future."

Nagisa nodded and knitted her eyebrows together while her brother asked if their father was going to bring them any presents. Shipment? Successful? She knew there was something more to those words. Maybe she was being too suspicious about her father but those pictures and those notes rubbed her the wrong way. It might be all in her head and Hisashi was a normal businessman that needed to work overseas at times.

"How long will this small trip be?" Her mother questioned.

Their father tilted his head and rubbed his chin. "It would be a couple of weeks but it will be the last trip for the next couple of months."

It should make Nagisa happy to know that her father would still be with them after that trip, but she was worried for the future. If Hisashi stayed with them for a longer time then it would be a matter of time before Izuku informed their father about his dream of becoming a Hero. She could not allow her brother to ruin his future by telling their father, who might possibly be evil, something that he didn't want to hear.

Any job would be approved by their father as long as it wasn't the job of being a Hero.

"And what were you reading today, Nagi-chan?" Her father asked, snapping her from her train of thought.

Nagisa blinked as she realized that their father had an interest to know of her reading material. Should she lie and say some silly fairy tale? No, her mother would know something was up because she hated those books. The way some of those characters in those books acted reminded Nagisa of a twelve-year-old version of Sakura and Nagisa hated that version of her teammate.

Biographies of any heroes were out and she didn't really read them, because Nagisa was going to wait for the day that Izuku become a hero and published his book.

"I was reading those old classic books," Nagisa answered. It had been one of those old translated classic books that almost reminded her of her situation. The girl in the story went down a hole and found herself in a world that was completely different from her own, which was similar to her situation. The only difference was that she died and was reborn into a whole different world.

That character eventually returned back home while Nagisa was home.

"I never found much interest in the classic books when I was a child," her father commented. Nagisa tilted her head while her brother straightened his back like he always did whenever Hisashi talked about his childhood. It was very rare for their father to talk about his past to them, always making it seem like he was a man of mystery.

In many ways, her father was a mystery to her.

"What did Daddy like to read?" Izuku asked, bouncing in his seat.

Hisashi regarded his son and darted his eye to the floor, where an All Might figurine was placed on the floor. No emotions appeared in those eyes, not allowing Nagisa to figure out what was going through his mind. The usual anger was gone like it always did whenever he caught sight of those hero figurines her brother loved to collect.

There was nothing in those eyes and it scared Nagisa, because she knew her father was not the type to suddenly accept the fact his son was still a supporter of heroes.

"I used to like reading those old superhero comics," Hisashi replied and Nagisa felt dread when she saw the calculating look in their father's eyes when Izuku squealed in joy. She darted her eyes to Inko and frowned when she saw the curiosity shining behind her mother's eyes. Her mother wasn't picking up the subtle clues that there was something odd about her husband's eyes.

"Who was your favourite Hero, Daddy? Was he anything like All Might?" Izuku asked, not noticing the warning looks thrown his way. He hopped on his seat and beamed at their father. "My favourite Hero is All Might."

Her father smiled indulgently at Izuku. "My favourite Hero was nothing like All Might but since your favourite hero is All Might…I want to know who is your favourite hero, Nagisa?"

Nagisa's throat dried when her father turned his eyes on her as both her mother and brother focused their eyes on her. Izuku looked curious, probably realizing for the first time that she never once mentioned who her favourite hero was. Inko tilted her head and frowned, looking almost upset for not asking her that question herself.

Was there a right answer to this question? She loved All Might because Izuku adored him with all his heart, but he wasn't her favourite hero. Endeavour was cool but those eyes of his didn't inspire her in anyway. When she thought of heroes, Nagisa thought of the First Hokage. She thought of her first father. Minato Namikaze gave his life away to protect the village, was a strong hero that was loved by many.

She never thought of the heroes in this world.

"I don't have one," Nagisa admitted. Her brother opened his mouth to correct her but the blue-eyed girl kicked her brother in the shins. He winced, almost looking ready to cry but Nagisa just stared at him and hoped that her eyes would be enough for him to keep quiet. Izuku might not want to listen to her but Nagisa was going to hold onto her dreams.

If there was even a remote possibility that it was possible for their father to find a way to take away her Quirk, then Nagisa was not going to allow him to take her Quirk away. She wanted something to differentiate her from Naruto.

She wanted to have something that reminded her that she wasn't just Naruto Uzumaki.

"Oh? Not even All Might?" Hisashi questioned.

"There hasn't been anyone that really interests me," Nagisa admitted, shrugging her shoulders at him. Her father looked pleased with her answer while Izuku frowned at her response. Did he want her to lie and say she really liked All Might? He was amazing and cool but his actions couldn't really touch her heart. None of these heroes could actually move her heart.

None of them inspired her to become a hero. What inspired her was the desire Naruto had to protect her friends and comrades. The desire to rescue her best friend despite all that darkness inside of him. It probably was strange to be inspired by one self, but Nagisa wasn't exactly normal even in Quirk terms.

She wondered if this would make her a better hero than all those heroes in television.

"Izuku and Nagisa have really grown since the last time I saw them." Hisashi commented as he stared at the sleeping faces of his children. Inko nodded, smiling at the sight of their children while the man fixated his eyes on his youngest child. He didn't have favourites between his two children but Nagisa was closer to his heart.

Between their two children, Nagisa reminded Hisashi of himself.

"In another three months, they are going to turn four." Inko sighed and fixated her eyes on Nagisa. In the limited phone calls that Hisashi had with his wife, she informed him of her concerns about their daughter. "I can't believe that it had been four years since they were born. I can still remember the shock that the doctor gave us when he told me that there was another baby."

"Nagisa was a wonderful surprise." Hisashi admitted. He could still recall when Inko placed their daughter, his little princess in his arms and how those blue eyes shone with so much intelligence. That child was going to be very different from her brother, from him and maybe even his foolish brother. It should infuriate him but she wrapped her small finger around his arm, which somehow managed to make her wrap herself around his heart.

"I worry about her, Hisashi." Inko admitted. "Izuku acts like a normal kid, plays with all the other boys but Nagisa…she doesn't act her age. Are we making her grow up too fast? I picked her and Izuku up the other day from kindergarten and Nagisa didn't have a single female friend in there."

Hisashi sighed and stared at the whisker marks that decorated their daughter's face. "Nagi-chan has always been different from the other kids. I knew our daughter was special when she was able to speak in full sentences by the time that it was close to their second birthday. Children don't like people that are different from them."

"I tried to organise playdates with the other girls but Nagisa doesn't like it when the girls want to play princesses," Inko admitted. She ran her hand through her hair. "I really wanted to cry because I'm in a complete loss of how to get her to connect to the other children."

"Did Nagisa explain why she didn't want to play princesses?"

Inko smiled. "She says that she doesn't like how being a princess means wearing dresses and waiting for some stupid boy to save her. She wanted to be the one to save herself, to wear whatever she wants and that she wasn't a child. Sometimes when we watch those foreign drama on television, she scoffs at the way the girls are acting. No child acts the way Nagisa does."

I know. Hisashi had seen a lot of things in his life but Nagisa was a first for him. Children were not supposed to know so many advanced words or talked in sentences like his daughter did, but the girl did. She shouldn't have such deep thinking yet his daughter showed a higher level of intelligence compared to the other children.

It almost made him anticipate of what type of woman his daughter would grow up to be.

A/N: What do you think of the characters so far? What do you think of the characters so far? Especially Nagisa. What do you think of the relationships shown so far between the characters.
