Little Tsu: Alright people. I haven' been updatin' much of my work lately due ta bein' busy irl & also runnin' a guild in an MMO called Aura Kingdom, but despite things, I've taken the time ta get this climactic battle up for my fellow

readers. So hopefully you all enjoy!

Lets have a great hunt!

Ch:4

The fiercesome 'king' of the summit of Misty Peak had won that last round, but this time, Shinzo and her party were ready.

As they entered an area that the Zingore roamed, the young hunter quickly took cover within the branches of a tree as did the older male hunter, though he took one that was across from her so that they were on either side of a path that the beast took. Shinzo's companion, Nero though, had taken to cover within the foliage as his intense emerald eyes kept a sharp eye out for the creature that had defeated him earlier. He would not lose a second time. He would be sure of that. He would do his best to also keep the enormous beast from harming his human like he had before again.

About ten minutes passed with no such sign of the creature, but then the ground and trees began to tremble with the feel of slow, thunderous footsteps. The feel of the air around them was slowly becoming electrically charged and static along with Thunderbugs to start flittering around in the entire area more and more, causing the girl's hair to become even more spiked than it usually was. Finally the sound of a ever so familier growl deep within the throat of a certain beast was heard as the Fanged Wyvern finally made himself known as he made his way into the area. Due to the way the wind was blowing, the trio were downwind so thankfully, the creature didn't catch the scent of their presense yet as he casually made his way down the path towards the vast open area before him.

However, just before he could, the ever so faint rustling of leaves were picked up by his ears, causing him to halt and quickly lift their head up right as the two hunters bursted out of their hiding places and lashed out with their weapons towards his back spikes and the horns on his head. Right when he went to shift around to lash out at them with his claws quickly while they were in midair, a high pitched snarl emitted below him as a black blur rushed out of the foliage and lashed out at the side of his neck; making the beast cry out slightly in surprise before Shinzo and Trace connected with their attacks as well as they landed on his back. Roaring out in anger at this, he thrashed about along the path before managing to send the trio flying off of himself and into the wide open area as they landed; skidding back a good ways on their feet in the process.

Growling deep in his throat as he bared his fangs towards the three that had dared to attack, he took a few thunderous steps towards them as he too entered the massive clearing. It was then that he lashed out with a massive paw with razor sharp claws at them, causing the three to dodge out of the way. As they did though, he quickly whipped around & smashed his tail into Shinzo, who had barely reacted in time to block the attack in midair as she crossed her arms and duel blade weapons in front of her to act as a shield. This didn't stop her from still getting sent flying once more from the sheer force of the tail swipe. However, it did cause another cry, smaller and more high pitched than the Zinogre to be heard once again as the young Nargacuga pushed off of the ground and caught her on his back.

Landing in a slight skid as he kicked up a small dust cloud and sent grass and flower petals flying into the air a bit with the landing, Nero cried out furiously as he charged in and leaped up, lashing out with is own claws at the much larger beast while Shinzo had leaped off of his back just before her pet's lunge into the air. Right as his claws connected and he once against latched himself onto the Zinogre's face, he clawed and bit at him, determined to leave even more bloody scars on his face than he had in the previous fight while his human had rushed in towards the beast's chest to clash there and the male human circled around to the back, attacking the jagged tail.

As this was happening, the Zinogre was getting more and more furious as he finally roared out and sent them flying once again. It was then that the Thunderbugs began to gather around his huge form as he charged; gathering electricity within his body. It was then that his spikes shot up in size on his body as blue lightning sparked from him, revealing that his charge was increasing quickly.

Shinzo saw this and narrowed her eyes as she clenched her teeth tightly. Right as he began to charge in the second stage, she rushed in quickly and lashed out in quick succession of attacks before leaping up as she spun in the air in a blazing whirlwind with her Flamestorm+ duel blades, causing the attack to just barely make the wyvern to cancel the second charge and cry out as he hit the ground. Landing on the ground before him just a few meters away in a knelt position, the young girl's amethyst gaze was still narrowed in determination to win this fight.

Seeing the look in the human before him's eyes, his own suddenly flashed and turned color as he pulled himself back up onto his feet and roared out angerly as he released his first charge that he still had from his body, smashing the lighning in all directions, including directly into the girl in an enraged discharge as he went into Rage Mode. The Zinogre was furious. He would not lose here. Not to these stupid humans and that pet that didn't even deserve the right to call himself one of the most feared beasts.

Here, he was king!

Trace's eyes widened as he saw Shinzo get a full on direct hit by the discharge; his ears still ringing slightly from the pained cry that released from her lips as she threw her head back in pain as she was launched once again, this time smashing into a large boulder that was further back in the clearing. "Shinzo!" Seeing Zinogre slowly stalking towards the fallen form, he panicked. The Rage Mode of this beast made him look all the more terrifying due to the increase in power he aquired and the wild strikes he made to his enemies that dared to challenge and get him to this point. "Shinzo...Shinzo, get up! Ngh...Damn it!" Managing to fight off the pain in his leg from the last lash out by the beast when he was sent flying, he rushed in at the beast; leaping up as he sliced into his horns, chipping at one, but the weaker one, slicing in half.

That had certainly got his attention as he roared out in anger again, but this time in pain as well once more. Landing on the ground in a knelt position, Trace flinched slightly at the pressure he placed on his leg before quickly hurrying over to Shinzo's side. Kneeling down beside her, he rested a hand on her shoulder and shook her frantically. "Shinzo, come on already. Get up! This battle's not over yet!"

Groaning slightly at the pain that shot through her entire body, she slowly pushed herself up onto her hands and knees. However, the next roar caught her attention. Quickly glancing up despite the pain she was in, she saw Zinogre whirl around before raising up onto his hind legs a good bit. Knowing what was coming next, Shinzo quickly pushed trace out of the way in time as she dove forward towards the beast and under him just as his front paws came crashing down where they had been just seconds ago several times; sending sparks flying slightly. If that had hit, she knew all too well from the stories about this certain beast that it would've caused Thunderblight while he was in Rage Mode.

As she shuddered lightly in her place under the beast, Shinzo lashed out at his back legs with her weapons. However, before the Zinogre could backstep and smash her into the ground with another barrage of his attacks, a black blur rushed in and scooped her up; avoiding any further damage. Skidding along the ground and spinning around to face the beast once again, it was revealed to be the young Nargacuga again for yet another round with the beast. However, this time, something was different as he growled and made clicking sounds in his throat while the spines on his tail rattled. His eyes were no longer an emerald, but a glowing ruby while his human was still on his back. Noticing the look in her best friend's eyes, she stared in slight surprise. In all her time with him at her side, she had never seen him go into Rage Mode before, yet here he was, in it. Shinzo could only guess that he was furious over the fact that she had gotten badly harmed by the beast before them again. He always had been extremely protective and territorial when he came to her.

Eyes softening at this, she shifted off of Nero's back, flinching slightly as she did so in pain, before resting a hand onto his head. "Get him Nero. Show him that he should fear the Nargacuga no matter the size your species is. Trace and me will back you up in this fight now." Smirking faintly, Shinzo got into fighting position as her eyes narrowed once again while Trace also got into position on the other side of the Zinogre in the distance despite his own injuries. "Time ta hunt boys! Lets take him out!"

That was all Nero needed as he rushed in quickly and leaped high up into the air above the Zinogre as his winged arms outstretched themselves and he shifted his body as he spun forward in the air in a buzz saw fashion, smashing his spined tail right down in the center of the much larger beast's head, thrusting his head down violently towards the ground, though it didn't have time to hit as Nero whipped around the instant his paws touched the ground. Leaping up once more while under the Fanged Wyvern's head, he lashed out quickly with his claws and bladed wings, sending the beast's head jerking up and blood flying as he roared out in pain.

Stumbling slightly from the speed of the smaller wyvern's attacks, the Zinogre managed to get his barings back somewhat as he lashed out with his tail, smashing into the midnight colored monster, sending it flying to the side right as the two humans took that time to rush in and strike with their own multiple barrage of attack chains; flames erupting from the attacks of one while the other released poison from the blade. Collapsing again, the beast was finally poisoned and knocked out of Rage Mode as he growled weakly at the condition he was placed in.

No...

He couldn't lose here...

Not to these inferior creatures!

Staggering back up onto his feet again, he released a loud, thunderous roar, causing them to flinch. Seeing this happen, he quickly stumbled and staggered; trying to flee from them. He had to get away and recover. Then he would beable to finish them off for sure. They were all injured just as greatly as he. He knew they couldn't take much more in this fight or even prolong the battle much longer for that matter. This battle would be his! Wait...Where did that Nargacuga pup go?

The sound of a deep throated clicking sound was heard behind him and as Zinogre glanced back behind himself while still staggering off, his gaze expressed fear for the first time as the young beast was still actually in Rage Mode unlike he. Before he could escape, the Nargacuga rushed in and leaped up, lashing out at his back & sides, causing him to roar out in pain again and struggle to knock him off. This time, however, was different as the smaller wyvern hung on and continued his enraged onslaught of attacks. When the Nargacuga was no longer on his back though, the Zinogre thought he had managed to fling him off, but sadly, that was when he realized that he had actully leaped off, but by then it was too late. The humans had recovered from flinching and despite their injuries, they lashed out one last time in an all out last ditch effort to bring him down.

A loud, thunderous cry of defeat rang out through the entire summit of Misty Peak that night under the light of a full moon...

{Next Morning}

Sitting on the bed in a leaned back position was Shinzo as she was covered in bandages and staring up at the clear morning sky while at the camp within Misty Peaks. Curled up at her side while his midsection was wrapped up in bandages was her faithful companion and best friend, Nero. Glancing over towards a pile that was to her right out of the corners of her eyes while her head was still tilted up towards the sky, a smile slowly began to etch itself across her features despite the bandage patch that was on her left cheek before a chuckle started to bubble up in her throat and finally full out laughter erupted as she expressed her pure joy and excitement. Laying there before them was not just any pile. But the pile of materials they had gathered from the corpse of the fallen Zinogre that they had faught so hard to take down last night.

Trace and Nero both lifted their heads from their positions as they drifted their curious gazes onto the gleeful young hunter. Blinking slightly in confusion, the older male hunter, who had just his right leg, forehead, and chest wrapped up in bandages, spoke up; the tone of his voice expressing the look on his features. "Shinny, what's got you laughing so estactically? I mean, you look like you've just practically died and gone to monster hunting heaven, no offense."

Slowly calming her laughter back down to a fit of giggles and then just chuckles here and there, she glanced over at Trace and grinned. "Sorry. I'm jus' so excited. I mean, we took down Zinogre; one of the toughest monsters in the world. It was such an amazing rush that I'm still feelin' it even now Trace, hahaha."

Smiling lightly at the happiness that the younger girl was feeling from this, Trace closed his eyes gently and slowly rose up onto his feet from his spot of sitting on a rock despite the pain he still felt in his leg. Walking over to her, he still held a smile on his face as he held out a bracer gloved hand towards her. "Yeah well, this is just the beginning Shinny...We're partners now from this moment onward. This battle is just the start of many more even tougher missions and battles as a team. And I promise you now Shinny...I'm never gonna abandon you. Now that I've finally found you again, I'm never letting you go."

Blushing faintly as this was said, Shinzo's gaze drifted slowly onto his outstretched hand. It was just like what he had done the other day after she had woken up in this very camp when he saved her during her first attempt at fighting the Zinogre. Bringing her gaze back up to lock her deep amethyst with his own sharp blue grey, she soon tilted her head down for a moment as a small smile slowly found its way back onto her features when she had seen the sincerity, determination, and surprisingly enough love in his gaze. "...Stupid...You're so damn stubborn...Ya never once gave up on tryin' ta get me ta party with you..." Spying her Nargacuga giving her a soft, happy little clicking cry, she smirked faintly before lifting her head some and narrowed her eyes as she still held that smirk on her face before lifting a bracer gloved hand of her own; grasping his hand.

"Lets live in the hunt..."

...Together...

End.

Little Tsu: *collapses* Ok, so uhh...Long battle that I jus' typed out...Hope ya'll enjoyed it cause that was rather tirin'. I didn' want the fight ta end so quickly or easily considerin' the monster it was they were huntin' & the fact that I had wanted to try & get as accurate & detailed as possible with the battle.

However, that was the end so yeah...Please review...Would make me feel all the better about havin' typed out such a long fight...I'mma jus'...stay here on the ground for now...x.x
