The next day after school, Aria, Emily and Spencer meet up as they had already decided to, but...Hanna is not there.
"Did anyone see where Hanna went?" says Aria.
"No. She was right behind me when she and I left the classroom, I'm sure." says Emily.
"Weird..." says Aria.
"Okay...let's do it this way. You two go ahead while I go look for 'Lazy little Hanna' and then we meet up outside the Brew and talk." says Spencer.
"See you soon then, Spence." says Aria.
"Not without Hanna, I hope..." says Emily.
"Em, no fear. She can't be far away." says Spencer with a confident smile.
"You're probably right as always." says Aria as she giggle a bit.
Aria and Emily head to the Brew and Spencer goes back inside the school to search for Hanna.
5 minutes later, Mona and Lucas enter the small apartment used by Red Coat as headquarters for the A-Team.
"Here, master." says Lucas as he hands over the staff of Moses to Red Coat.
"Yes, this is perfect. Soon the grand power of the whole universe shall be ours and Aria, Han, Em and Spence are going to die." says Red Coat.
"So, when do we begin the ritual...?" says Mona.
"I'm still waiting for a 'we are ready' from our other agents. Everything needs to be set up to perfection at the secret location of the New Dark Beginning or we will fail and we've come to far to fail now, my dear friends. Ultimate power and knowledge is within reach." says Red Coat.
"Are you sure that Spencer or Aria doesn't know the location?" says Mona.
"Oh yes, I'm sure! They don't even know what we're trying to do, trust me." says Red Coat.
"Okay." says Mona.
"Lucas, go and help 'him' with the pre-ritual things." says Red Coat.
"Aye, master." says Lucas in a mature manly tone.
Lucas grab his briefcase and leaves the apartment.
Spencer is still searching for Hanna when she suddenly get a txt from -A that says: "Spencie, time to give up. Your sweet blonde buddy Hanna Marin is with me and you're too weak to find her. Cry for mommy! -A"
"Dang fuck!" mumbles Spencer in a hard angry tone.
Outside the Brew, 20 minutes later, Emily and Aria also get a txt from -A. The one to Aria says: "Hi, Aria. Do you wanna know where Hanna is? I won't tell ya, bitch! You can't find her. -A"
The txt to Emily says: "Hi, Em. Sometimes here in my little home, I think about you. Back in the days you and me were so close. We both know you were in love with me. Wanna find Hanna? Sorry, none of you girls can. Awww, Em! You're a baby! -A"
"No...-A has Hanna." says Emily in a sad tone.
"We should tell Spencer." says Aria.
"I already know." says Spencer as she walk up to Aria and Emily.
"I know this is not much of a cheer-up, but I've found us a safe-house." says Emily.
"Really?" says Spencer surprised.
"Yup!" says Emily. "It's a small mansion a few miles outside Rosewood."
"Oh...sounds perfect, Em. How...?" says Spencer.
"How did I find it, you ask? It belong to Paige's dad and Paige said that we can use it. The place just stand there anyway, cause nobody lives in it." says Emily.
"Let's go there then. Go home and grab your stuff, only the things you need. We'll meet up at my place 2 hours from now." says Spencer.
"Spence, one thing..." says Emily. "Paige should come too. Her dad owns the house."
"Okay...remember, my place 2 hours from now and we're takin' my car, in case you need to know." says Spencer.
2 hours later outside the Hastings-house.
"Why haven't you told us before that your dad has a mansion?" says Spencer to Paige.
"Guess I forgot about it..." says Paige with a casual smile.
"Em, what other secrets does your girlfriend hide from us, huh?" says Spencer.
"Come on, guys!" says Emily. "Is this 'The let's pick on Paige McCullers Day' or what? She's my sweetheart, be nice."
"Sorry..." mumbles Spencer.
"Thanks for defending me, but I'm okay. Nothing...not even some hard words from Spencer can destroy my day." says Paige as she kiss Emily's neck.
"Nice. You know, Spencer doesn't hate you. She's just not like you and me, that's all." says Emily in a soft sweet voice.
"I already know, Em." says Paige.
"Okay...all bags are in the car. Time to go. All aboard." says Spencer.
"Wait a sec! Don't you guys forget about someone?" says Paige.
"Uh, no..." says Aria.
"What about Hanna?" says Paige.
"Emily, didn't you explain to your girlfriend what's happened...?" says Spencer.
"I wasn't sure if I should." says Emily.
"So, tell me then...what exactly has happened...?" says Paige to Emily.
"Hanna is -A's prisoner." says Emily.
"Oh no..." says Paige.
"Once we get to the mansion we'll decide what to do." says Aria. "We need to find out where -A keeps Hanna so we can save her."
"I'll do anything I can to help." says Paige.
"We know." says Emily.
"This is your captain speakin'...the in-flight entertainment shall be a special Spencer-lecture on transsymbiotic biology. Enjoy and have a nice flight." says Spencer.
"Spence, this is a car, not a 737..." says Emily.
"I know, was just trying to make the trip feel less long..." says Spencer.
"Sorry, but I don't think a lecture will make the trip feel shorter." says Paige.
"Okay, McCullers! Whatever keeps you happy." says Spencer in a cold emotionless tone.
"Hey, guys! Since when do we call each other by last names?" says Aria.
"We don't." says Paige with a calm mature tone.
"Speak for yourself..." says Spencer.
"Whatever..." says Paige.
When they reach the mansion, Aria, Emily and Spencer are surprised to see that the place described by Paige as a 'small' mansion is actually rather large.
"Here we are, guys. This is the McCullers-mansion built in 1877 by Sir Aaron B. McCullers." says Paige.
"This mansion is beautiful." says Aria. "Paige, wouldn't you love to call this your home?"
"Actually I might get to someday. My dad has no son which means that when he dies, this place is mine. If me and Em ever become wife and wife, I'd make this our home...unless Em has other plans." says Paige.
"I wouldn't mind living here." says Emily.
"If so, we don't have to call you Lady McCullers, do we?" says Spencer.
"Just because I would live in a mansion it wouldn't make me nobility. This is not Victorian London." says Paige with a small friendly laugh.
"Awww, Paige!" says Emily as she give Paige a nice romantic hug.
"Eww, get a room." says Spencer.
"Hey, it's just a little hug...we're not havin' sex!" says Paige.
"Okay, whatever..." says Spencer.
Once inside the mansion, Paige helps the other girls find rooms to sleep in and after that they all gather in the Grand Dining Room on the third floor to talk about the fact that Hanna is -A's prisoner and what they should do.
"We need to think clearly if we're gonna save Hanna. Logic must be where we place our focus. If we let our emotions block our minds we might lose Hanna forever." says Spencer.
"I've never been much for logical thinking..." says Paige. "We should just find -A and simply kick his or her fat ass."
"Somehow I think that's just goin' to make things worse and it might lead to Hanna's death. We've already lost Maya and possibly Alison too. It's not like we would need even more dead friends." says Aria. "I'm with Spencer on this."
"Em, what do you think?" says Paige.
"Spencer's way of lookin' at this seems the best, I guess..." says Emily. "We all know that she's the smart one."
