Chapter 4
Burger, Vanilla milkshake and Chocolate
"Ok the practice ends here." Riko announced. Everyone is now cleaning and preparing to leave.
Hikari is walking towards the school gate. She feels that someone is following her. She looks back but no one is there. She started to walk again when she feels again that someone is following her, she shivered cause no one is there then suddenly someone grabbed her hand and drag her some where.
"W-wait" she said.
They run into streets and turn into curves until they reached a fast food restaurant.
"What are we doing here Riko-chan?" Hikari asked.
"We're going to eat." She said.
"I know but why so sudden?" Hikari asked again.
Riko-chan didn't answer again; instead she grabbed Hikari again into the restaurant.
They look around and saw Taiga and Tetsuya in one of the table. They saw them too and they walk to them.
"You're here too." Riko said.
"What are you doing here?" Taiga asks the girls.
"What do you think people will do on a restaurant?" Riko said.
"You may sit here if you want?" Tetsuya said to the girls.
They agree on him and sit on their table with them. The boys sit on one side and the girls on the opposite side.
A waitress comes to them and asks for their orders.
"3 burgers." Taiga ordered.
"Vanilla Milkshake." Tetsuya said.
"Strawberry shortcake please." Riko ordered. "Hikari, what do you want?" She asks Hikari.
"Uhm," she scans the menu then suddenly her eyes sparkle in glee.
"I want this." pointing on a chocolate ice cream.
"Ah our deluxe chocolate ice cream." The waitress said.
"Hai hai" she nods with puppy dog eyes.
"Ok nothing more." The waitress asks.
"Yes that's all" Riko said.
The waitress goes away.
"You're the same as ever Hikari-chan." Riko commented.
Hikari stops dreaming on her chocolate land and looks at Riko.
"What do you mean Riko-chan?" she asks.
"You're still a chocolate addict." Riko said.
"No, I'm not. I'm just… a chocolate lover." She corrected.
"Oh your chocolate is there." Riko said.
"Where?" she said looking around.
"See." Riko said.
She pouts.
Their order comes and they eat. While eating.
"Nee, Kishimoto-san how did you meet coach?" Taiga asks.
"Kagami-kun, please just call me Hikari-chan. I'm not comfortable with formalities." She said. "I meet her at a basketball court with Chizu-chan. They ask me to play basketball with them and that's how it started." She explained.
"So you play basketball." Tetsuya ask.
"Yes, but I stop playing nowadays." She said.
"Why is that?" Riko ask.
"Maybe because I have no reason to play basketball." She said.
"Hikari-chan." Riko said.
She eats her food happily. "This is really delicious." She commented.
They finish eating their food and stayed on the restaurant for a while.
"Riko-chan, what is real reason why we are here?" Hikari asks. "I know you want to ask something that's why we here." She added.
"Hikari-chan, I just want to know what really happen to you and Chizu-chan." Riko finally asks.
She looks at Riko and sighs.
"Ok, this is what really happened. We decided to meet that day, she comes to my school and we went home together. While walking home, an out of control car approaching us. Chizu-chan protects me and pushes me away from the approaching car that's why she was hit by the car and broke her left leg." She explains.
"Which means…" Riko said unable to finish her words.
"Yeah, she can't play again with us." She said lowers her head.
"I'm sorry Hikari-chan, I didn't mean to."
"It's ok Riko-chan. Chizu-chan said she getting fine now and she's walking normally now." She said displaying a fake smile.
"It's good to hear." Riko said in relief.
"Who is Chizu by the way?" Curious Tetsuya ask.
"Ah she is our best friend. We are trio; we were always playing together when we were kids." Hikari said.
They suddenly shivers and look at the waitress who is loosing her temper to them cause they still sitting even they are already finished eating.
"I think we should get going now." Hikari suggests and they all walk towards the exit.
Hikari looks at the other side of the street.
"Is there something wrong Hikari-chan?" Riko asks.
"Ah Uhm nothing, it was just… I feel that someone is following us, like what I feel on the school before you drag me here. It was only you so I don't mind." She said.
"I don't follow you Hikari-chan. I was walking when I see you on school and I immediately drag you here to have a talk." Riko said.
"Then who will that be." She said.
"Maybe it was just your imagination." Taiga said.
"Maybe you're right." Hikari said.
Then they separate their ways. Hikari and Tetsuya walk together.
"Wait, aren't you going that way now Kuroko-kun?" she said.
"I'll walk you home. You said you feel that someone's following you." He said.
"Yeah, but I don't want to bother you." She said.
Tetsuya just continue to walk toward the direction of her house. She doesn't have a choice but to go with him.
"Tetsuya, just call me Tetsuya." He said.
"Ah uhm." She nods.
"Ah Tetsuya-kun, you have a different kind of playing style in basketball." She said.
"Yeah, it's weird." He said.
"No it's not." She said and stops walking. Tetsuya stops and look at her.
"I find it unique maybe you are only one who could do that. That's cool." She commented. Then she walks in Tetsuya's phase.
"Maybe that's what makes you special." She said and gives a bright smile to him.
They reach her house.
"Are you sure you don't want to come in." she said.
"I'm alright. I'll go ahead." He said and starts to walk she wave goodbye while looking at him vanishing in the dark then she walk inside their house. He stops and looks back and saw her entering her house then walks peacefully going home.
