Chapter 3:
...The Mall...
The sun is already on its way to scatter its powerful ray of light all around the earth. Many birds are already chirping as the sign of new morning. Every people around in Palayan are wishing for a glorious day ahead.
At Lucy's room, there are some ray of light that succesfully found their way between the curtains of Lucy's window. The morning light slightly touches the delicate skin of Heartfilia's only prisncess. Lucy blink many times as she feel the warmth of the sunlight, she slowly opened her eyes and got up from her bed. She stood up and strech her arms ang legs then she yawn one more time before going to her bathroom.
After a minute or two she already dress up with a simple leggings and red shirt that match her red boots. Today Lucy is going to buy some stuff for her study in Caballero National High School. Because this will be the very first time for her to be in school, a public one, she wants everything to be perfect or more or less satisfying.
And also today will be the first time that Lucy will be in a mall. That's why her Butler Capre and maid Aries insisted that they will come to help her.
Knock... knock... knock...
"Ma'am Lucy? Your breakfast is ready!" Aries said outside Lucy's room.
"Ok, I will be out soon." Lucy replied. after few minutes she opened her door and walk towards the dining area.
As usual Lucy is alone in their long dining table eating breakfsst. She seldom see her father in their own mansion, she didn't the reason if its because their mansion is so big that they can't see each other or her father doesn't want to see her. Well, whatever the reason is, still Lucy don't even care.
"Is the car ready?" Lucy asked her butler who is standing in her right.
"Yes ma'am we can leave anytime you wish."
Lucy stand up as soon as she finish her breakfast, she walk towards the front door only to see two benz waiting for her.
Her eyebrow twitch and she said " Why there are two benz?"
"Ma'am you are going to ride in one benz and we will be riding at the other one." Capri answered.
"I don't want to, we will be riding on the same car."
"But ma'am that will be so unrespectful!"
"I am not aware of that!"
"Your father -" Capri didn't able to continue his words when Lucy interrupt him when she heard the word father.
" I am not requesting for you guys to join me in the same car. I am commanding you to accompany me in the same car. Which part of the sentence can't you understand?" Lucy said in much higher voice.
There's a seconds of silence, both Capri and Aries look at each other and wait for who will talk to their princess first. Until Capri sense that Aries don't have the courage to talk back.
"But ma'am-"
"No more excuses please, if you're not going to accompany me in the same car i will not go shopping. Hmpp!" Lucy said due to irritation.
In the end still Lucy won the debate, of course she must. Ebi is the one who is driving the car and Capri in on his right while the ladies are on the back seat. After 30 minutes of driving they finally arrive to one of the biggest mall in the Country of Palayan, the PSM or the Palayan Super Mall.
As the car entered the parking lot Lucy can't take off her eyes in the mall. It's her first time anyway, she steped out of the car and look to every people that entering the building.
"Wow this is one of the most crowded place i ever saw!" Lucy said.
"Yes ma'am, lets go?" Aries smiled and takes the lead.
The entrance of the mall have 10 steps of upstairs before you can get inside. There are 2 wide doors 1 for exit and 1 for entrance, the entrance have divided in two by two guards one for male and one for female. All of the mallers are need to be checked before they can go inside.
When Joyce is about to enter the mall the guard stopped her and asked for her bag.
"No way, this is my bag. Why should i give it to you?" Lucy said out of confused mind.
"She just need to check it ma'am." Aries whisper from her back.
"It's against the law, it's invading my privacy!" While Lucy is having a debate with the guard, Aries saw Capri and Ebi whispering to each other while looking at them.
Ebi: I think we should let our princess to go outside her room once in a while.
Capri: You're right, she looks like a girl in the far far away land.
Ebi: They live in far far away land anyway. The mansion is there right?
Capri: That's not what i meant.
Ebi: I know.
Ebi and Capri: embarrassing.
Its not only them who is whispering, the lines for female line are filling up in just mere seconds and they all whispering to each other, some mad some are annoyed.
"Just let the guard check your bag, you'll get no harm from that." One of the male mallers said to Lucy when he passed into her. But insted of doing what the man said Lucy insisted that her privacy remain for her only.
Few minutes later Aries finally grabbed her bag and let the guard checked it. due to her embarrasment. Finally the guard let then in without anymore words. But...
"I'm really sorry ma'am, In this kind of place its only natural to let the guard see what's inside our bag. What if someone brought some dangerous weapon inside the mall, it's for our own safety ma'am i'm so sorry!" Aries apologizes none stop but Lucy's attention switched to the incredible mall decoration, for that she forget the incidence a while ago.
After minutes of sight seeing Lucy finally reach the widest bookstore in Palayan, she and her company went in and help her to find the things she needed. They been in there for almost 3 hours before they finally exit the bookstore.
Lucy can't hide her happiness on what she bought in the bookstore but it's all vanished when she saw the unbelievable scene outside the store.
"I don't want this kind of phone, it's out of fashion!" The teenager said to her mother and threw the phone somewhere, luckily Capri catched it.
"Please don't be like that." The mother said to her daughter.
"I like smartphone not this cheap phone. It makes me looks like beggar."
Due to the tension in the scene Aries tried to invert the attention of their princess to the other part of the mall, but Lucy as a warm-hearted girl can't take her eyes in the scene.
"Don't be like that, there's someone out there who are envy to you cause you have mom." Lucy said that got the girls attention.
"She's not my mom, she's just my maid." the Girl replied.
"If you like we can switch our phone." Lucy then took her phone inside her bag and ejected her simcard. " Here, lets switch." She streched her phone to the girl that she grabbed immediately before dashing away.
"I'm really sorry about my daughter's behavior, I will return your phone ma'am." The mother said.
"Don't bother ma'am, we switched our phone!" Lucy answered.
"Thank you ma'am i'm so sorry!" The lady replied before vanishing in Lucy's sight. Few minutes later, Lucy and the group felt hungry.
"Are we going to eat here?" Lucy asked.
"If you wish ma'am Lucy."
"For the health of our princess, I recommend that we should eat at restaurant not in any fast food chain. What if the princess accumulate too much cholesterol?" Capri said that made the two girls to laughed lightly.
In the end Lucy chose a restaurant inside the mall, a japanese restaurant. Her company already know that she will choose a japanese restaurant cause their princess really loves anime and Japan. She ordered hotpot and different sushi and let others to take their order too.
"I think I need to use the bathroom. Can I excuse myself for a while?" Lucy said.
"I'll accompany you ma'am!" Aries suggested. The two girls left the table and went to the comfort room but unluckily..
"Sorry ma'am but the comfort room of Tokyo food is currently out of order. We really apologize for the inconvenience." One of the staff said.
"But I can't hold it anymore?" Lucy said out of frustration.
"There are also comfort rooms inside the mall you can try those ma'am. But don't touch the flash with your bare hands and dont sit in the bowl, you should sqaut or use tissue everytime."
"Don't they have janitor or cleaners here?"
"It looks like clean but the truth is it isn't. What if there's some harmful viruses over there, it must be safe if put on some measures." Aries answered.
" Alright, alright!" Lucy shrugged her shoulder and moved to the ladies comfort room of the mall. "Oh my!" She said so amused by the line of ladies that wish to use the comfort room. "This is like autograph event of famous mangaka."
"It's always like that, ma'am!"
While Lucy is in the line, Aries got hook up to the event happening from the mall's ground. She's been there watching together with other mallers. Lucy exited the comfort room immediately after she used it, there are lots of people in there and for sure no one wants to stay there any longer. She grabbed her alcohol spray in her bag but as soon as she held it a man accidentally bumped in her.
"Ouch!" She said in surprised. Her eyes were glued in her alcohol spray that rolled over the man's feet. The guy picked it up and gave it back to Lucy.
"Ooops, Sorry!" He smiled then dashed off away from Lucy. She remained unspoken and followed the man with her eyes. The man is wearing a hat and white jacket, black pants with a black rubber shoes. She followed the man with gaze when her peripheral senses hit Aries who is busy watching some events.
"Aries!" She called.
Aries got shocked and bow as she approached Lucy and said, "I'm really sorry ma'am." Lucy smiled and anwered a sweet "It's no big deal."
