Chapter 6: The Most "Rockin'" Meeting in History Goes Down
"Lieutenant Connor Barron," the intercom seemed to blare into my half awake ears. "Please report to briefing room #3."
"Ugh," I groaned. "Can't a guy get some sleep around here?"
I quickly get dressed and sprint to the room. I open the door and find the room filled with people that seemed to radiate PURE power. Slowly, I sit down in my designated seat and wait for role call. A boyish looking person with black hair makes his way to the podium.
"Fellow MegaMen," the boy spoke. "I am Rock Light. The first recorded MegaMan in history or so I thought at least. We have a new MegaMan here with us today. HE is the first. Recently, this boy had his first taste of combat and emerged victorious. He fuses with the FM-ian Alpha-Xis, the younger brother of Omega-Xis. He does a form similar to both Mega Man X's and Mega Man Star Force's. We must give him a name."
A boy no older than 11 raises his hand.
"Geo Stelar," Rock called. "What will we dub this boy?"
"How about Mega Man Star Force X? It seems fitting and it has a nice ring to it."
"All in favor?" Rock asks. "Say I."
The entire room echoes out with that simple letter.
"Lieutenant," Rock says to me. "Please rise."
I stand up and at attention.
"Your codename is now Mega Man Star Force X. You are one of us. Congratulations, you are now part of a proud line of heroes," Rock says smiling.
Chapter 7: Preparation
I lay in my bed looking up at the white ceiling with one thought on my mind. This one little thought is the reason I fight from now on. This oh-so-powerful driving force is the future. Apparently, the FM-ians are a race of energy beings hailing from Geo Stelar's time. A new ruler took over and decided to go back in time to when human technology was still primitive.
It's a good strategy. I'll give them that much. Other than that, encountering me was a mistake they'll regret. I get up from my bed and get my things together for an upcoming mission. I strap on an old playing card deck box to my thigh and put the deck of Battle Cards inside.
My first mission is one I won't forget. It involves all of us Mega Men and we all shared one goal: take back Las Vegas. This battle of the FM-ian Wars will come to be known as "The Battle of the Meadow". This is gonna suck. Just watch.
Sorry for not writing these past few months. I've been busy with another story. (Smash! Is the name by the way. Check it out!) During the past 8 months, I've been having problems, but those problems are history. I'll do my best to update regularly from these chapters on. Thamks, guys!
