A/n: Welcome Harry potter and Naruto!
Ch.4 I make my day meeting ninjas and wizards
Mrs. O'Leary barked at it, but she looked like the perfect size of a chew-toy for that monster. I mean, that's how big the monster was. The Hellhound was standing next to the Ares cabin, which had been crushed, flat. I would've laughed, for it was Clarisse's cabin, but I didn't have time to.
All of the campers complete with armor, and terror, stood in front of the monster, which had a gleam of anger in its eyes. The Ares kids were nowhere in sight.
Adrenaline rushed through me, and almost instinctively, I uncapped Riptide and ran towards the monster. Mrs. O'Leary followed me, though I didn't want her to. The Hellhound noticed me trying to fight it, and it opened its mouth wide and came pounding at me. I never liked to kill Hellhounds since they reminded me of Mrs. O'Leary. But I had to now, in order to save my camp. Several campers edged around to see if they could help, and a bunch of the Apollo kids ran inside their cabin to get their supplies. I slashed at it with Riptide, but it dodged and came towards me in the back. It could've swallowed me whole, before I had time to turn, but I heard someone scream some unpronounceable word, and I turned it time to see a yellow laser type of light hit it, and diamond looking blades caught in the hellhound's neck. It suddenly froze, almost paralyzed, and then disapparated, pouring dust all over me. Well that was relatively quick.
I turned in time to see three young teenagers standing alongside each other. There was an extraordinary pink haired girl in the middle, which was the only one smiling, proudly, almost triumphantly. She had on a red shirt and a skirt with tight legging shorts. The girl wore a red headband around her hair like a hair band while the boys wore it around their foreheads. The two boys around her were staring angrily at each other-as if they'd been in an argument. And they were wearing weird clothes too, so I guessed that these were the guys from the different world. Presumably. Or, well, they were monsters in disguise. I had to ignore the last thought because the girl was so beautiful that I had to blink a few times.
"Hi, I'm Sakura. What's your name?" she asked grinning at me, her eyes glimmering.
Annabeth ran over to me, "Percy, are you okay?" She glared at the girl. "And who the heck is this?" I didn't know why Annabeth was so mean to all the girls I was nice to.
I said something like, "Uh-duh. You saved my life." It probably sounded stupid and as if I had a bowl of oatmeal in my mouth, but the girl looked like she was used to stupidity because she just laughed.
"Yeah, but what's your name?" she asked stepping forward and holding out a hand to shake.
"Jercy Packson," I stuttered. I was about to shake her hand, but Annabeth flicked my hand aside and shook it instead.
"I'm Annabeth," she growled menacingly at Sakura. "And this seaweed brain is Percy, not Jercy." Sakura looked taken back, but she narrowed her eyes at Annabeth, and let go. I sensed some tough girl wars beginning.
"Yeah, whatever," The utterly handsome guy with bluish-black hair snapped. "Where's that guy, Chiron? We need to get started on our mission."
I could swear I saw Annabeth staring at that guy almost as if she was mesmerized. I cleared my throat.
Chiron came wheeling down the hill to greet the newcomers. "Welcome," he said. "I'm Chiron."
Sakura jumped back in surprise, but she politely said, "Nice to meet you. I'm Sakura, and this is Naruto and Sasuke." When she said 'Sasuke' it reminded me of the way Annabeth used to say, 'Luke'. There seemed admiration in her voice - and something else.
Then Naruto, who had an orange and black jacket with orange bright pants and blond spiky sticking up hair, grinned sheepishly and shouted, "Hello! I'm Uzumaki Naruto, the strongest Ninja in the world! I'm going to be Hokage, once I'm old enough! Believe it!"
Sakura punched him hard, in the back, but kept her smile forcefully. "Heh, yeah. He's Naruto, and he's never learned to grow up."
Annabeth was still glaring at Sakura. "Well, I was expecting some un-crazy people in the mission!"
Sakura balled up her fists, but didn't say anything. I swear I saw smoke rising from their ears.
I studied Sasuke for a while. He was the dark haired kid, who seemed different. He didn't look nice at all, and there seemed to be a washed out look of hatred in him. He had a big built six pack, and was really handsome. When I say muscular, I don't mean big. He was thin, but strong. A long bluish spear stretched from a holder ion his back. I didn't know why, but I could tell he was dangerous.
"When are we going to get started on our mission?" Sasuke asked Chiron. And yeah, the other thing - he seemed way too focused on the mission.
Chiron shrugged and looked at the forest expectantly. "As soon as they get here," he replied.
Right when Chiron said that, I heard voices from the forest.
"Boy that was a huge dog! I'd seen huge spiders and huge Trolls, but never a huge dog! Well, single-headed dog, no. And Hermione, that was impressive! I mean targeting it from this much of a distance…that's real awesome!" A boys British accented voice exclaimed.
Then a pleased voice said, "Thank-you, Ron."
Three teenagers walked up the hill, holding broomsticks that were the almost the same height of them. One was a pretty girl with brown hair, and there was a tall redhead and a black-haired guy with glasses. Something told me that these guys had flown here using the broomsticks which, I could tell, were singed at the ends.
"Ah, I was just talking about you, and as we heard from you, that was very impressive," Chiron welcomed.
The girl named Hermione beamed with pride and studied her surroundings. "Thank you very much."
Apollo's cabin was taking care of the wounded, feeding Nectar and Ambrosia squares. I still couldn't figure out where the Ares cabin was. It was odd to have none of them there at once. And then, something hit me.
"How the hell did the Hellhound appear in camp?" I asked a chill running down my back. "It couldn't have come…"
"…unless someone summoned it," Chiron finished for me. "Weird things are happening around camp, Percy. First, Nico's in trouble, then all the minor gods are not answering and now there's a Hellhound in camp." Chiron sighed sadly. "This raises the likelihood of a spy, and it's something we do not want again." I wanted to tell Chiron that the Minor gods wouldn't respond since they had partnered with Kronos, but that would just put another weight of worry in him, so I held it for later.
Naruto lifted his eyebrows. "How could a summoner be a spy?"
"Monsters can't come inside camp borders," Chiron told him. "Unless someone summoned it, without being for practice and it's only meant to destroy camp."
I remembered Silena Beauregard from the Aphrodite's cabin, who had been a spy to the Titan Lord Kronos three years ago. She had died trying to protect help defeat Kronos by dressing up as Clarisse and trying to kill a monster that could only be killed by the child of Ares.
"Where's the Ares cabin?" I asked Chiron. "They aren't anywhere around."
Chiron replied, "They were practicing in the forest…"
Chiron probably thought of what I said, since he paused.
"Could they be…?" Annabeth asked unable to continue.
Chiron shook his head sadly. "There are too many betrayals, and I hope they wouldn't."
A sudden scream made the nine of us jump, thrilled.
"Who did this to my cabin?" Someone screamed. I turned in time to see Clarisse storming out of the forest, her face red with anger. "Don't tell me that that stupid Hellhound…" She ran over to her destroyed cabin and her siblings ran behind, all of them donning the "who did this to my cabin" face.
"Those were all the monsters we killed," she roared in dismay.
That made me wonder about her. How did she know about what monster attacked us? How did she even know that a monster attacked camp?
"Great entrance for us," Ron muttered under his breath. "I'd been expecting a feast with cakes and pastries the day before the quest to find that kid. Not someone screaming their head off for a destroyed…"
"Clarisse really admired the way she and her siblings decorated their cabin," Chiron said, sighing again. "I guess I'd better go comfort her for I don't know what she'll do if she's mad."
And with that Chiron took off.
I looked at Hermione whose face, instead of confused, was astonished.
"So the Greek myths are true," she whispered. "There really are Greek gods, aren't there?"
Annabeth nodded. "Yeah."
Hermione continued, amazed, "And you're a daughter of Athena?"
Annabeth looked surprised, "How did you know?"
Hermione just laughed. "I could tell. You have gray eyes."
Annabeth beamed.
The kid with black hair walked up to me with the redhead, Ron. Sasuke and Naruto were discussing something coldly while Sakura tried to stop them.
"Hey," the guy with black hair and glasses said. "I'm Harry Potter."
I nodded and said, "I'm Percy."
Ron grinned and said, "Really? I got a brother with the same name."
Harry looked up at the destroyed cabin and the hurt campers. "So…" he started. "Who's this kid we have to save?"
Memories of the dream flooded over me. "Um- this kid named Nico. The Titan lord Kronos got his soul into Nico, and now they're going to overpower the Olympian Gods. It happened the last time, only it was with this other guy named Luke. The gods defeated Kronos and put him in Tartarus, but he's coming back alive again with the help of this guy named Voldemort..."
Harry interrupted me with a look of surprise. "What!" he shouted. "Volde…"
But Ron interrupted him. "No Harry!" he shrieked. "Don't say the name!" He turned to me and said, "But he's dead. Harry's defeated him three years ago. It can't be him."
I was confused, but I continued. "I don't know. And-uh…you defeated him?"
Harry nodded. "More like killed him."
I shook my head, clearly confused. "But Kronos said it himself. He's partnering up with, um…him."
"Call him He-who-must-not-be-named. Just in case he did come back," Ron told me.
"He-who-must-not-be-named," I repeated. I was completely puzzled. "Why can't we say his name?"
Ron glanced at Annabeth and Hermione who were getting along pretty nicely.
A great start, I thought. At least Annabeth could get along with someone.
"We can't say his name since the death-eaters could track you down," Ron explained. And when I still looked confused, he grinned and said, "Blimey, Percy. You got to learn a lot from us to understand all this."
Suddenly, Harry clutched his forehead, pushing back his bangs. I noticed a lightning-shaped scar etched on his forehead before he covered it with his hands.
Ron's eyes widened and Hermione rushed to Harry's side. Harry crumpled on the ground to his knees, grunting with pain.
"Harry," Hermione cried, surprised and scared at the same time. Ron and Hermione exchanged a glance of pure fear.
"I thought he was gone," she whispered, terror taking her by surprise.
"What's wrong," I asked. "Is Harry alright?"
Sakura and Naruto ran over to Harry, while Sasuke walked behind casually.
"Is something wrong?" Sakura asked, determined, as she pulled up black gloves on her hands.
"He'll be fine, thank-you," Hermione said to Sakura. Then she turned to face me. "He needs to rest somewhere quiet and neat."
The Hermes cabin could take him, since they took every newcomer, but that place wasn't neat and definitely not quiet.
"He could sleep in my cabin," I volunteered. "I mean, if he likes the ocean." I felt that at the moment, my detail about the ocean did not exactly matter.
Harry had his eyes closed, but his fingers were still clutching his head. Sakura looked doubtfully at him.
"Is that scar hurting him? Maybe I could help…" She seemed so eager, but Hermione told her she couldn't.
Hermione, Ron, and Naruto helped Harry over to my cabin and layed him down on my bed.
They all looked around my room, which was decorated like the sea.
"You're father's Poseidon, isn't he?" Hermione asked.
I blushed and said, "Yeah."
Sakura laughed at my red face. "I like the ocean." She put her gloves back in her bag on her side.
I could see Annabeth glowering at her from the corner of my eye.
Hermione sighed and Ron looked at me weirdly.
"You were right, Percy," he told me regretfully. "He-who-must-not-be-named has come back. I just didn't know."
I narrowed my eyes, puzzled. "What does that have to do anything with his scar hurting?"
All of us walked out of the room, silently.
"He's got a relationship with he-who-must-not-be-named," Ron answered as he took a chocolate frog out of his pocket and plopped it into his mouth. "When Harry 'as little, he-who-must-not-be-named killed his parents and tried to kill Harry, but when he said the killing curse, Harry only got a scar on 'is forehead. Some prophecy that states Harry would kill 'im so he got worried and tried to get rid of him before Harry did anythin'."
I nodded, slowly, trying to piece together everything in my head. "So when Vol…" I paused, realizing my mistake, "When he-who-must-not-be-named comes back up, he'd be looking for Harry."
Ron nodded thoughtfully, but Hermione looked over her shoulder at me, angrily.
"Well, I still don't believe the point he's back up," she shot at me, "It's a terrible thing to believe, so don't believe that." Her voice turned soft, but hurt when she said, "So much family…and friends died…" She shook her head dismissively and gave me a heartbreaking look of sorrow, and then ran over to Sakura and Annabeth who were talking to Chiron, gesturing madly.
I felt myself turning red. I wasn't forcing myself to believe that or anything. I believed what was true.
Ron watched her go, and then turned to me. "We all lost a lot of people we knew," he said quietly. "My brother…I…I don't want to talk about it."
That pretty much told me that this Voldemort guy wasn't real sweet. And that this time, we had pretty big competition. Not that Kronos wasn't a big competition. It hurt to think.
Sasuke and Naruto walked up to the two of us. Sasuke had on an expressionless, blank face, while Naruto had a doubtful, puzzled face.
"What's wrong with that kid back there?" he asked squinting his eyes. "Why'd he faint like that?"
Ron grinned at him. "'Guess I got to explain a lot to you guys. I'm Ron Weasley. What's your name?"
Naruto grinned at him, and I was guessing he'd repeat the routine again. "I'm Uzumaki Naruto, the number one ninja! I'm going to be a Hokage when I grow up! Believe it!"
I thought I saw Sasuke roll his eyes. Ron just grinned back at him. "I'm not sure of what I'll be when I grow up. Maybe a member of the Ministry of Magic. Or an auror. Oh yeah, what's a Hokage?"
Something told me that the two of them were going to get along better, since they chatted along nicely. Sasuke walked away to the beach, smirking, and I followed him.
"Hey, I'm Percy," I said to him. He was staring out at the ocean, and he merely glanced up when I walked up to him.
"Soooo…" I stretched trying to think of something to say. "Do you like the ocean?"
He didn't reply, but just stared. "When are we going to start the mission?" he said after a while.
Something in me wished to hear a sentence from him that didn't have the word mission in it. I shrugged. "I don't know. I'd say about tomorrow. But first, we have to meet my friend, the Oracle." I laughed since it sounded funny. Sasuke didn't say anything. I took my cue to continue talking. "Oracles tell the prophecy." I would've guessed that he wouldn't say anything, so I kicked a stone into the water and watched as it rippled across the calm glassy water.
After a few moments, "The Oracle?"
I nodded and kicked another stone. "Sure. They tell how it's going to go in the quest. There has to be three people for every mission. Or there usually is, and I'm pretty sure Annabeth and I are going. I guess we have to choose another to come out of you guys. The rest of you could just hang out in camp and come for help when we need it."
The last sentence sounded kind of rude to me, since it sounded like, "Stay in camp the whole time after you came from such a far away place, while we kill monsters and stuff, and when we need help just come out of nowhere to risk your butts off."
But Sasuke didn't seem to mind since his face remained expressionless. "So you'll have to choose." He considered it for a while.
The two of us stood there staring out at the ocean, as the cool breeze blew our hair back. That was when I noticed Sasuke's shoulder. The air blew his loose sleeve back showing that he had a weird print on it, something like a symbol. It was black and looked like three comas going in a circle. I also noticed his sword hung on his back by a strap, which appeared to be the same length as mine. I studied it for a while, hoping that sometime, (If we had time), that we could play against each other, just for practice. Then we heard a voice.
"Hey!" someone yelled behind me. Sasuke and I turned around to see Sakura running up the hill, breathless.
She stopped right in front of us, and put her hands on her knees, breathing hard. "Sorry…I'm kind of out of Chakra after that long trip."
She straightened up and smiled at me. "Hey, Percy."
I smiled and said, "Hey."
She turned to Sasuke and gazed at him, her eyes bright.
"Oh, Sasuke! Chiron said he'd have a meeting at the big house after dinner. So I was kind of wondering…um, do you want to sit with me; you know just me and not that annoying creep?"
She glanced at Naruto and then looked down at her feet, then his face, waiting for Sasuke to reply. Somehow she looked like a desperate puppy asking for a treat. Sasuke just shrugged as if shooing away the puppy.
"I don't know. Why don't you practice you're skills first before planning things ahead."
Sakura's face fell and she slumped her shoulders and dragged herself down the hill. I could swear I saw Sasuke smiling faintly, as if he was enjoying the point that he upset her.
I saw Naruto jerking his head up from a conversation with Ron. He ran up to Sakura as if he'd found his chance, wearing a sheepish grin on his face.
Sakura glanced at him, completely irritated.
"Hey, Sakura," Naruto said. "Forget about that idiot Sasuke. Who wants to eat dinner with him? Do you want to eat dinner with me?"
She just glared at him. "No way, Naruto! I would never! I just can't stand blondes!"
Then she stormed away, angrily, leaving behind a miserable Naruto. He looked up and growled envyingly at Sasuke, who smirked at him. Then again, when they turned away, I thought I saw the both of them smile. Weird friendship, I thought.
A/n: Hope you enjoyed the fourth chapter! Please review! P.S: I'm uploading all these five years after I wrote them because I think it's nice that you guys could read the 40+ chapters I had written before but never had the time to upload.
