All right, here we go again. This doesn't seem to be our most popular fic but it's the most fun to write so damn it all I'm going to keep writing it anyway. Here we're back to Empire and action. Now another little 'director's cut' let's call it. One of the reasons I made this in addition to a deconstruction of Star Wars was to vent my anger out on the idiocy on various fandoms and deconstruct them as well.
For example Naruto is a world filled with idiots who think that training young children to be soldiers is a good idea and with even bigger idiots who don't quite grasp the concept of what it means to be a ninja. Cue me and my insane friend Z as we decided to send The Galactic Empire down there to show them what true warfare looks like. Although I made the Empire lose the battle they caused more casualties and destruction than any war that went on in that forsaken fandom, only the attack from the nine tails can come close to the Empire's destruction. Don't take this personally, we hate everything, we just hate something's more than others. We also want to deconstruct these various franchises and show them how they should have happened (i.e. take something like Naruto which shows child soldiers as something completely normal and ok and give a view of how using children in war would actually affect them).
Up for their crimes today is Rosario + Vampire. In the lore of this verse monster have their own civilization where they live away from the prying eyes of humanity in their own little world/planet/dimension thing. The main plot is that a human boy is sent into the monster world via some unexplained wormhole tunnel thingy that connects Earth and the monster world, enrolling in an academy that teaches monster how to coexist with humans. The problem: he didn't know what he was getting into. Luckily he met a nice vampire girl who helped him along and protected him from other monsters. It started out as a cutesy high school setting with the boy amassing a harem of cute monster girls before it did a 180 and introduced out of all things an organization of Nazi monsters who want to exterminate all humans and take over the Earth for monsters which the human boy and his monster friends must stop.
The problem comes in this plot hole; during one scene of this series a man takes out a handgun and threatens the protagonist's friends each an extremely powerful monster in their own right, however they're all paralyzed with fear and unable to move. If a simple handgun could put fear into powerful monsters which include vampire, succubus, witch, and snow-woman than the national well trained and equipped armies of Earth should have no problem squashing their little invasion. A proper analogy would be if I tried to send a rugby or American football team unarmed to fight to the death against a bunch of lanky dudes toting machine guns and expecting them to win. It's complete idiocy no matter how strong they are. I rank the monster here even lower than the ninja of Naruto's world because at least the ninja had elemental powers which could pose as a challenge, the monsters just try to win with brute strength alone. They're basically waiting for something from the multiverse to show them up. As such the Human centric Galactic Empire would like to show these "superior breeds" just where they belong.
One of the things I did change was that the main villain was called, Alucard (Dracula spelled backwards) who was some weird tentacle monster thing who made a humanoid vampire clone of himself and I'm not going to explain further since the whole thing was just bullshitted and confusing. As such I'm changing Alucard to just Dracula who's just a really powerful vampire like in most lore.
As a side note it turns out that monsters such as vampires, centaurs, and Cyclopes do exist in the star wars verse as explained below.
A duo of Dual blades did a deadly dance in what we would refer to as the bowels of the Super Star Destroyer Executor. The two (four?) blades whirled around in the darkness casting the only illumination in the room and clashed violently with each other several times creating the unique hiss that lightsabers created. Keeping in time with each other the two seemed evenly matched, that is until the figure on the right extended his hand, levitated the first figure up a few meters from the floor and threw them across the room. The lights turned back on and Darth Satanas stood over Naruto.
"You're getting better with your swordsmanship but you still need to practice using the Force. If you were facing a Jedi in combat they would not hesitate to use the full extent of their powers. Well, unless they were stupid or plot reasons prevented them, but you get my point."
"Thanks, I'll make sure to work on it extra hard. I'll become the best Sith this galaxy has ever seen and help put this Empire back on the Galactic Throne, Believe it!"
Alright, Satanas found the last bit a tad annoying. It turned out that Naruto hadn't changed much during his time in Imperial service and under Satanas' training. He was still the same energetic kid just instead of wanting to become Hokage of his village he wanted to become one of the best Sith of all time and put the Empire back into Galactic power. Well, he wasn't entirely the same, he did become slightly darker, taking the death he witnessed in battle relatively well, but from what Satanas was told by the boy he had taken it well since they treated him like dirt because of his status as a container for a demon.
What was brought to his attention was that child soldiers were often used on his home planet dubbed Hosek. It wasn't uncommon for a thirteen year old to graduate from their standard of the military academy and join the reserves and while they're generally sent on low class 'kiddie missions', during times of war (like say, an alien invasion) all ninja had to participate regardless of age. Naruto and his former team were such a group and Satanas just wanted to see just how prepared for war Naruto was.
"There's one more training regimen, a 'test.' I want us to get done before we call it a day. Commander, bring him in."
Curious as ever, Naruto looked behind Satanas what the little test his new master had for him and quickly regretted his choice. The sight made his stomach feel as though it was torn directly out of his body and made his knees go weak with growing fear of what the scene before him might entail him to do. Coming through the door was an Imperial officer wearing the standard olive-green tunic and cap with two Stormtrooper guards a little ways behind him at each flank. Now this wasn't what bothered him, he had seen plenty of officers and troopers since joining the Empire.
No, what bothered him was the guest they had brought in. Behind the officer and between the two troopers was a man bound to a vertical movable table; gagged, bruised and beaten. His uniform was not an Imperial one instead sporting khaki pants, black boots, and a khaki uniform with a blue flak jacket.
"The man you see before you is an officer of the New Republic. We found him snooping around the Imperial capital of Bastion on an espionage mission. Now if you've read all those holobooks I gave on government you probably know the penalty we have for espionage."
Actually he didn't, but he could take a good guess at what it was.
"The penalty, of course, is the death sentence," Satanas finished in case anyone forgot or was too dense to infer.
"Now, strike this man down in the name of the Empire. Gut him as a message to the rest of the galaxy to what happens to those who oppose the Emperor and the Empire. Prove your loyalty."
The realization of what he had to do hit Naruto hard. He had to kill this man, this stranger who he never met before, in cold blood. He shouldn't be all that surprised it was a fact of war that when two opposing sides met one would die, it was just a fact, something he knew he would have to do even on his home planet when he decided to become a ninja. Taking a few steps forward he approached the gagged prisoner. No worries he was just doing his job dealing with an enemy of the Empire. If so why did his legs feel so heavy, like they didn't want to move?
In front of him the prisoner thrashed wildly in his bonds in a futile attempt to break free. Naruto ignited both ends of his lightsaber, a dual bladed one like his master, and brought it over his head. The prisoner's eyes made contact with Naruto's and he saw something in those eyes. Pleading that he would let him live. The lightsaber fell, both ends deactivated and the boy collapsed on the ground. Satanas nodded to the officer and he and the stormies carted the prisoner out of the room. On the ground Naruto heaved several times unable to stand up. Sparing him no more than a glance Satanas left.
As Satanas entered the bridge all eyes were temporarily drawn to him and then brought quickly back to whatever it was they were previously 'working' on along with whispers of, "The boss is here! Quick, look busy." among the officers in the pit. Luckily for them Satanas wasn't able to hear them due to thinking about the best way to desensitize a young adolescent for war. Plotting it through for a moment he not only came up with an idea for how to get the boy ready for war but also another plan to help the war itself. Satanas walked over to the destroyer's Hologram pod and relayed a message through it. From the pod which resembled a circular metallic table placed in the middle of the bridge, came the miniature holographic image of Gilad Pellaeon's body.
"What is it that you need, my lord?"
"Vice-Admiral, there is a message I wish for you to relay. Although it's great and all for us to extend our territory in the Unknown Regions, we can't overlook the allies we can gain in the greater galaxy as well. I want to open negotiation with the Nightsisters of Dathomir, Mother Talzin and her Nightsisters should be a great asset if we can convince them to our side. For this I want you to send Admiral Zsinji he has worked with the Nightsisters in the past and it should be helpful to send a familiar face."
"I'll send word to him right away, my lord. For the Empire." The hologram of Pellaeon saluted before flickering out of life. With one call down Satanas had one more to take care of, within the tank another hologram flickered to life this time of the esteemed Grand Admiral of the Galactic Empire.
"Admiral, I want to know the current status of the planets you deployed those probes to. Are any of them ripe for conquest?"
"It appears that there is. One of the probes has identified a rather interesting world. The indigenous population of the world seems to be made up of the survivors of the Ash Worlds. Species such as: Energy Vampires, Chironians, Cyclopes, and werewolves."
"The Ash Worlds? Weren't they bombed to hell by the Hutts' near the formation of the Old Republic?"
"Correct, after the incident the species previously listed and many others became exceedingly rare in the galaxy almost to the point of becoming extinct. However it appears a few of them did survive and were able to endure out in the Unknown Regions establishing a new home world for themselves. The sacking and bombardment of their sector worlds were so traumatic that the memory stifled any thoughts they had of returning to the greater galaxy once they landed on their new home world.
"As such the inhabitants of the planet regressed technologically and socially. Their society has become something more an animalistic hierarchy with the strongest dominating the pecking order. Seeing as poorly undefended it is, even more so than our last incursion, it will make a perfect target and… easy prey."
"Excellent Admiral, is there anything else I should be aware about?"
"Yes, according to our scouts they have reported that there are anomalies at random pinpoints across the surface of the world. From what Imperial Intelligence's been able to gather from interrogation of the inhabitants these anomalies apparently lead to another world in a separate galaxy completely inhabited by humans. The denizens of this world will occasionally slip through these anomalies and terrorize the humans while maintaining the secret of their alien origins due to them being able to take on human form allowing them to keep up the ruse.
"However their inability to advance as a culture was their undoing. While they wallowed like primitive animals the humans were able to advance technologically and the threat that these…"
Here the Admiral paused searching for the proper word, "Monsters, possessed seemed laughable in comparison to the world civil wars the planet has. Seeing as they could not wipe out the humans and claim the planet as their own the own they decided to work towards a plan of peaceful co-existence. An academy was erected to attempt to educate these monsters and teach them how to blend into human society."
"Sounds nice."
"It does but like always there are voices of dissent. An organization was created by a powerful vampire who goes by the name of Dracula in order to eradicate all humans. Of course this fits in well with our plans. Seeing as they follow a pack mentality we will use a show of force bring their loyalty to our sway."
"Very good Admiral, I know I could count on you. Spare me anymore details and fax me the rest of your dossier on the planet." There was slight bit of surprise and confusion among the pit crew that something as anciently archaic as fax was still being used by the Empire in age of advanced technology.
"As you wish. I will send you the strategy Veers and I had worked out. I must warn you though, it's rather crude and along the lines of 'blow stuff up' given the nature of our enemy and how they're devoid of culture and art."
"Not a problem, that's the most fun."
Gyokuru Shuzen was a happy woman, the reason being that her life's work was about to be completed. For so long she had dreamed of this day when she could finally wipeout all of humanity from the face of the Earth and create two worlds in which monsters (specifically vampires) ruled. She giddily stepped up to a podium that had been set up for her. In front of her was a large mass gathering of assorted monsters ranging from lowly grunts such as Cyclopes to the higher echelons like werewolves all in their disguised human forms. All wore the organization's military uniform a long black trench coat with numerous pockets and gold trimming.
She reveled in the sight of it all, of the organization she and Dracula had worked their life for. Fairy Tale named for the fact that they would exterminate all humans and create their perfect fairy tale world. Composing herself at the podium she began her rousing speech.
"My friends they day we have long waited for is here at last. The day where we finally bring the fight to the pathetic race known as humans. Come now! Kill the Humans, slice their meat, cut their bones, and use their blood and guts to hold the most extravagant party. We will engrave into their corpses, our everlasting fantasy world!"
The meeting for such a place was a stereotypical gray stone medieval castle that vampires tend to like. The down side to such an estate is that the windows are large enough to allow outsiders to view into them with relative ease and on a much darker note aim their weapons into the rooms these windows looked into. Such was the case of two scout troopers situated at the windows that looked into the castle's main hall, their names LaRone and Korlo Brightwater of the Hand of Judgment. The two picked a separate window to peer into and level their snipers into the crowd of monsters.
"You seeing this?" LaRone received via the com in his helmet from Korlo
"Yeah, this is definitely the headquarters of that anti-human organization that Trandoshan-like creature tipped us off to."
"By the way whatever happened to him?"
"Had to terminate him, couldn't leave any lose ends or those who would sell us off."
"Smart choice, so any way who's the target here?"
"It's a vampire, the matron of a powerful vampire house known as the Shuzens. Intelligence says she's to closet thing this planet has to an influential leader so eliminating her should send a clear message to the rest of the world who's in charge. Hard to tell which one she is though with all the monsters in human form. According to her description she's-"
"Blonde, with shoulder length hair, cinnamon colored skin, wearing a slender white dress showing a lot of leg and thigh?"
"Exact- wait... how could you know what she's wearing?"
"She's the only one addressing the crowd from a podium it's not hard to see that she's in charge."
"Right... then let's... a lot of leg?"
"I'm a man. I notice these things, so sue me."
"Whatever, let's just- she's on the move."
"What?"
Gyokuru had stopped mid-speech. She was talking about the lovely time she and the other monsters would have disemboweling the humans when she could practically smell the scent of a human in her presence using her acute vampire smell. Not only could she smell the scent of several other monsters in the crowd that had the human scent attached to them as well.
Obviously some human lovers had snuck in.
"...Oh? This is strange... I sense someone who opposes my speech, seven of you. It seems like some rats have found their way in"
With uncanny vampiric speed it was as if she teleported from one side of the room to the other. In front of her was a young man who looked about sixteen with messy brown hair. The boy appeared for all intents and purposes as just another member of the organization donned in the same trench coat uniform. The only thing that set him off from the others is the surrounding monsters did notice he had slight human scent he had what shrugged it off that may had just been recently around humans, presumably killing them.
"What do we have here a little human intruding on our plans? Let me use this moment to demonstrate exactly how our conquest of the will go." While the boy was still shell-shocked from having the vampiress suddenly appear and call him out for his humanity, two troll guards rushed up and grabbed him by the shoulders ready to tear him apart straight down the middle. Gyokuru smiled, this would be the perfect morale booster to show her troops just how weak the humans are.
That smiled soon faded after two shots were heard near the windows and the heads of the two trolls disappeared out of existence.
"The target has moved and threatened to kill a human via two trolls."
"One of our own?"
"Negative general. We don't know who he is or how a human got here but the two trolls that held him captive have been eliminated. The target knows we're here now, the boss will probably go into plan B at this point."
"Alright, I'll send a squadron of troops to help Lord Satanas. Standby Trooper."
LaRone's comlink between General Veers and himself cut off. The plan was to originally just assassinate the vampiress and let Satanas hunt down Dracula and let the Orcs take care of the remaining monsters. Sighing since that the original plan was now out the window, he once again leveled his sniper rifle into the room along with Korlo. At least they would get some target practice in.
Madness. That was the only word Gyokuru could possibly describe what happened after the two shoots were made. First there were a brief few seconds of pure silence as everyone in the room was trying to wrap around in their brains just what happened. Then came the screams.
Turning her attention to the crowd she noticed that a large number of Orcs were littered among the crowd of her army bellowing primeval screams. The problem with this is that neither she nor Dracula admitted Orcs into their ranks viewing them as inferior breeds much like the humans, their presence here overlooked in her arrogance.
From the center of the crowd, the Orcs ditched the Fairy Tale uniforms they had on and brandished their favored melee of ranged weapon. The superior breeds of monsters surrounding them were taken off guard and found themselves cut down to size in the literal sense. Adding further to the chaos was man who appeared to be working with the Orcs, wielding dual red blades slashing through her ranks and out of all things seemed to be steadily approaching her. Normally she and her fellow monsters would at this point retaliate by transforming into their monster forms, the reason that they hadn't was due to what happened next.
The front door gave out in an explosion of debris and wood, followed by the arrival or several legions of stormtroopers and battle droids. Reminiscent of the Republic soldiers (in chapter one), the sight of these new and completely alien forces were too much for her to comprehend at the time. Normally the monsters would have held their ground against the mongrel race of Orcs and the sword wielding man but the arrival of the troopers and droids put a dent in those thoughts.
You see, enemies with high powered long ranged weapons tend to mow down targets that are completely unarmed and use melee tactics as their main source of attack. This is an accepted fact of modern warfare.
A fact that most of the monsters who joined the organization seemed to have overlooked when they joined. You see like what happens with most armies is that they when they enlisted they forgot the fact that enemy will not just sit there and willingly let you kill, they in fact tend to fight back and as in the case with human they use guns.
Lots of them.
The chaos and panic caused by squads shooting them down and the Orcs (and Satanas) cutting them down with extreme vigor shut off rational thinking of them transforming into their monster forms and their fight or flight instincts kicked in. They choose flight. Gyokuru stood paralyzed in the center of the room as her forces rushed around her attempting to flee to the safety of the castle's interior room, or basically anywhere the enemy wasn't.
In the confusion the human boy she had threatened had seemingly escaped while in the confusion, though his fate was not a top priority with her at the moment consider what she was facing now. She broken out of her catatonic state when a searing pain cropped up in her shoulder. A blaster bolt had struck her shoulder, the pain causing her to come back to her senses and in coming to her senses did what any proud vampire lord would do. They ran away like her life depended on it, which it did. Observing the spectacle around him Satanas was quite pleased.
On Naruto's world of Hosek, the ninja, while low-tech, at least put up a decent fight and where somewhat like a real military. This was not the case with the monsters however. They only kept the appearance of a military (the uniforms), as the results showed they basically had no proper training. This would be fun! As usual, Veers' voice came over the comlink directing the battle as its liaison.
"All right now that we cleared the hall, we can go about exterminating the rest of the vermin. As it appears, the second in command of this organization has fled deeper in the castle. We cannot allow her to live and spread more anti-human propaganda. Finish her."
Tsukune Aono was by no means someone who was easily surprised, living in the monster world will do that to you. Before he was just your average normal human doing normal human things such as going to school, thinking about girls, and clipping coupons. And then he was sent here. He had failed all the entrance exams to various high schools he had applied to. At his wit's end he thought he was sentenced to failure, destined to become a drop out. Then fate seemingly smiled down at him. From literally out of nowhere his dad pulled out a rather dubious acceptance letter from someplace dubbed Yokai Academy however at the time neither he nor his parents questioned it, happy that he would not be a failure in life after all.
That is, he was happy until he arrived. The academy's various alumni were, well, sociopathic, which tends to happen when the student body and faculty is made up entirely of monsters. Despite this these harsh circumstances he remained in the monster world gaining many (and admittedly attractive) friends. He was able to live a relatively normal high school life with only the occasional monster trying to kill him here and there (they were still monsters) and his friends trying to kill themselves in battles over his affections (they were still monsters).
Then Moka, his vampire friend, was kidnapped by what basically amounts to Nazi monsters so that some schmuck vampire lord going by the name of Dracula could destroy all humans. This was somewhat of a curveball but he was still able to shrug it off in due time thinking nothing could surprise him at this point, and organized a small rescue party with his friends. He was wrong, REALLY wrong.
He was taken off guard when Orcs started to riot within Fairy Tale's numbers taking them down, he was not expecting someone dressed like a medieval plague doctor complete with black robes and crow mask to whip out what appeared to be a laser sword and start mowing down monsters, and above all he was not prepared for a legion of armed humans and robots to come storming through the castle's doors and start shooting the place up. Needless to say he was a little shell-shocked.
"Are you all right?"
Breaking him from his thoughts and trance like state was a familiar angelic voice. Before him wearing the same Fairy Tale uniform he was, was a young girl of about sixteen with short cotton candy blue hair tied in a ponytail and large innocent inviting eyes, not to mention her rather large, err, tracts of land. Kurumu Kurono, the succubus one of Tsukune's best friends.
"Yeah I'm fine Kurumu. Just a little... well." Here he gestured to the Satanas and the Imperials who were now exiting the hall to pursue the other monsters further in the castle.
"Yeah, I see," Kurumu replied rather flatly at the sight. Eventually Tsukune's senses came back to him and a very important question popped into his mind: where were the others?
"Kurumu, where did everybody go?"
"Don't know. As soon as... they showed up we all got separated in the confusion."
Upon hearing the news fear started to well up within him. Not so much afraid as what Fairy Tale might do to them, no. He was more terrified of what might become of them if they got captured by that insane man with the laser sword and what he assume to be his forces.
"Don't worry," Kurumu started apparently reading his mind, "These newcomers don't seem to have friendly relations with Fairy Tale. As long as Mizore, Kokoa, Yukari, and Ruby play it smart they should be alright. In fact this might be beneficial to us."
"What do you mean?"
"They basically scattered of Fairy Tale's forces. The castle is sure to be less guarded now with them either fleeing the castle or fighting those humans and Orcs head on."
The realization dawned on Tsukune. He could now search the castle with near impunity thanks to the Imperial's timely invasion.
"Alright then let's go free Moka and keep an eye out for the others as well."
Impossible. Humans are weak, puny, foul creatures that deserve to be nothing more than prey. Sport for higher creatures such vampires like Gyokuru to hunt. If so why was the hunter being hunted?
"Gah!" Glancing down she found that her side had been scorched by a glancing shot from a blaster bolt. She then decided to ditch all thoughts about being a hunter and run really fast. Note that the thought of fighting back did cross her mind. The only thing stopping her was that a few among her forces decided to fight back against these intruders. Turning around they charged with great ferocity at them... and were rewarded with twenty different blaster bolts through their skull. She then decided that she enjoyed being in one piece and kept on running.
There was one chance she could take in order to survive. She had to lure them to her daughter, not the little brat whose throat Dracula wanted to slit, but one of her true daughters. And she was here. At the end of the long hall in the sight of both Satanas and Gyokuru was a young girl in a white sundress with long curly blonde hair and cinnamon skin, from her ears dangled rosary earrings. In all she looked like a younger and more attractive version of her mother Gyokuru.
"Kahlua, come save your mother. Kill these worthless humans and their monstrels. I want this hall painted in the red of their blood." It was apparent that Gyokuru had gone off the deep end. Anyway, Kahlua heading her mother's words, took off her right rosary earring. Normally such an action wouldn't seem to be noteworthy, if not for the fact that her right arm turned into a giant freaking bat wing after she took it off. Satanas recalled that crosses and rosaries had disabling effect on vampire's that negated their powers, the fact that she just took one off was presumably not good. The young vampiress shot down the hall the winged side of her bisecting any of the retreating monster forces that happened to be in her path, all the while tears streamed down her face saddened she had to cause so much death. With confidence that her favorite daughter would be able to take care of the weak humans and half-breeds she discreetly slinked away through a hall.
The sight of a young girl speeding towards you with apparently razor sharp wings for limbs would rightfully terrify anybody. The troopers, Orcs, and few sentient droids were no exception. During situations like these sentient beings have a fight or flight instinct kick in; they either fight the danger at hand or run away from it. Seeing as they couldn't possibly run away from her at the speed she was coming at them they decided on fight and to see if she was bullet proof. She wasn't. Rounds of blaster fire found their marks on varying degrees off her body. It wasn't enough to take down a vampire but it was enough to severely weaken her and halt her charge.
The now severely injured vampiress attempted to pick herself back up, slowly gathering up the strength and will power to bring herself up. Had this been a story with 'heroic' protagonist they probably would have waited patiently for her to get up and recover continuing the fight. However this is a story about 'villainous' protagonist and they gave her no such chance.
She was lifted several feet off the ground and held there as Satanas held her in a force-choke. The Force has been described as an invisible hand at time,s and it's true in this case. Satanas' force-choke was still unpleasant but he wasn't using it at full power to completely shut the airways and snap the neck, he wanted answers.
"Your one of Gyokuru's daughters, I take it? An important member of the Shuzen family." Kahlua made a gesture which barley resembled nodding of the head.
"Consider yourself lucky, your worth much more important alive than dead. However I will need your cooperation for some… information."
"The place seems…-"
"Unusually empty." The observant duo of Tsukune and Kurumu (who spoke their lines respectively) noticed the castle had become much more vacant than it previously had, thanks in no small part to the sudden appearance of the Imperials. Not that they minded, not running into genocidal monsters was considered a perk on their part. Trudging on the two wandered aimlessly down the expansion of halls wondering where a homicidally insane mother would hide her daughter. However something else was also preoccupying their minds. Despite the homicidal tendencies and intentions of Gyokuru, they seemed to pale next to the man with the laser sword who was leading the human/droid/Orc forces. In the few seconds that they watched the man (for they presumed he was male given the posture) even Tsukune who was just an average human without any heightened senses could tell there was something seriously wrong with that guy.
"Hey Kurumu," Tsukune began slowly and nervously expressing his worries, "Do you think-"
"No, I don't think we have anything to worry about. As I said before they seem to be no friends of Fairy Tale from their actions. We can safely assume Moka is safe from them. I would be more worried about her sisters like Kahlua that work for Fairy Tale and what these strangers would do to them."
"So once again from the top: this world is connected to another world in another galaxy, one populated solely by humans, right?"
Kahlua who still had a cascade of tears running down her face, nodded her head in both submission and to insure to Satanas that he was right.
"They have numbers that range in the billions along with superior technology such as planes, tanks, and guns, while you have numbers ranging in the hundreds from this army alone and have no weapons at all?"
Another nod of the head.
"From this castle, you planned to wage a war on these billions of humans, were you would attempt to completely wipeout their entire species from the planet with your meager forces?"
Another nod.
"Finally your own mother is the second in command of this organization who works for a vampire lord named Dracula. In order to make himself even more powerful he requires a sacrifice for some obscure reason and that sacrifice happens to be your younger sister. You yourself would rebel against the organization but your mother has somehow brainwashed you in a way that you must obey her every command hence why you cry whenever you have to kill someone?"
Once again another nod.
"One last thing; are you bullshitting me?"
This time she shook her head from side to side to denote a no.
"Well miss I can say with the utmost confidence that you and your species may hold the award for being the biggest retards in the galaxy. However everyone on this entire planet is now indebted to you. Thanks to the information you've given us, the Galactic Empire can step in and stop this folly, thereby saving you species."
"Excuse me?" The vampiress looked up at the Sith with an innocent questioning look which was only exemplified more by the drying tears on her face. Satanas summoned up all his restraint to avoid reaching over there and slapping the annoying look off her face.
"Don't you see? If you attack the humans on this world you mentioned, you will fail miserably. Not only that, but these two billion humans will be as pissed as hell and come seeking revenge against you. I can guarantee you that they will try the exact same shit you're doing, only they'll be more successful and won't stop till you're all dead."
"Oh…." As Kahlua's brain registered the enormity of what was revealed to her, Veers came back on the comlink.
"It appears that these cowardly lesser beings aren't putting up much of a fight. As such we can move ahead with our plans. Gyokuru has fled deeper into the castle to escape persecution, we cannot allow this to happen. Commanders LaRone and Korlo will lead the troops to hunt down and eliminate Gyokuru while Lord Satanas will deal with Dracula. Also, we have been able to land the walkers and will be making sure no stragglers escape."
With that Satanas looked back over at Kahlua. From what she had told him and he himself had observed, she didn't necessarily qualify as a bad person. She was just being used as a puppet by a superior force and didn't really have much say in the matter. This touched something in his blackened heart and he felt the need to help her out.
After all, the Sith Code stated that chains were meant to be broken.
"You, come." Kahlua looked up at the black clad figure of the Sith.
"What?"
"It would be in both our benefits if you assisted us with our primary mission, and quite frankly, I can't stand to see you blubber and cry like a lost little bantha. If you're going to be a pain about it at least be useful and take out those responsible for your misery."
As the two walked down the corridor, as the squads of miscellaneous Imperial soldiers went down the opposite hall Gyokuru ducked into, the young vampiress decided to ask the Sith next to her a question, "Why did you help me?"
"Because chains are meant to be broken."
Gyokuru was sure of herself. After all the lesser monsters might have been scattered by a few humans and inferior Orcs and whatever those tan skeletal things were, but she was a vampire. A VAMPIRE. Her species' power and skill was unmatched amongst monsters and surely her daughter could kill,*bang* damn it.
Apparently the humans were not as weak as they seem as she found another blaster bolt clip her side. This meant that her daughter was either killed or captured in the previous skirmish with them. No matter. She had others who could easily take her place, besides if she couldn't take care of a few measly humans she probably wasn't worth having around anyway. She turned around to face the troopers and their assorted comrades who just shot her in the back.
"Greetings, you have done well to get this fa-" She never got to finish her sentence as a volley of blaster greeted her body. Honestly, LaRone had no idea why she choose to give them an opening by running her mouth but he was content all the same. Gyokuru was slightly less content. Being a vampire she took the blasts rather well but still common sense dictated not to let bullets or blaster bolts hit no matter how powerful you are. Her vampiric speed allowed to her to evade the rest of the shots after the initial volley, her body appearing to be a gust of wind, while her regenerative powers did their work.
Her sudden movement threw off the Imperial forces, a fact she used to her advantage. She barred straight into the legion of troops snapping a stormtrooper's spine and ripping an orcs head straight off his body. The few B1 droids next to them launched retaliatory fire but only seemed to piss her off more. Dropping everything at the moment she focused her attention on the droids breaking each of the fragile droid bodies as if they were nothing.
Out of the corner of her eye she caught LaRone issuing some command into his comlink. No matter, the pathetic human would not live to enjoy whatever reinforcements he summoned. The vampiress once again rushed using her superior speed targeting LaRone. Her hands clasped around the trooper's neck about to twist it a full 180 degrees (her favorite method). That was until she heard mechanical clattering that she was able to deduce from the sound was rolling towards their current position.
"So once again just to recap."
"Okay."
Satanas and Kahlua were merrily strolling through the dimly lit grey-stoned corridors of the castle having a pleasant conversation about the monster world and Kahlua's family. It would seem almost normal and sweet if not for the fact that the dimly lit hallways gave the ambiance of the stereotypical gothic castle, Satanas still looked like a plague doctor, and the dead bodies of former monster left behind in their wake as Satanas and Kahlua made short work of those in their path.
"Polygamy is allowed in this world of yours Gyokuru being your true mother but you and your three sisters prefer your step-mother or your father's second wife, who wishes for peace between humans and monsters?"
"That's correct," Kahlua replied to Satanas as she disemboweled a random lizard-man that was in their path.
"And your daddy is, as you say, a very influential person among the community on this world? Could he possibly use some of that weight to create a foot hold in this world for the Empire?" Satanas' double bladed lightsaber cut a charging werewolf in two.
"Most likely yes, but it's my step-mom that wears the pants in the relationship though. You won't have to worry about her, unlike other monsters she doesn't harbor speciesism towards humans. My father is not as nice and may need convincing." Kahlua's arm once again turned into a razor-sharp batwing that she used to disembowel a Cyclops. Satanas deactivated his lightsaber and threw a lamia across the hall using the force.
"Really?" The two looked behind them at the carnage they had sewn.
"I think I'll be okay."
Gyokuru didn't know what these things were but she was pretty sure they were friends to the humans. Being cut off from the greater galaxy, she had no knowledge that what was coming towards her was a squad of five destroyer droids also known by the affectionate nickname of droideka. The destroyer droids deployed from their ball form into their attack stance on tripod legs shields raised. Needless to say the vampiress found herself once again under a constant rain of blaster fire, forcing her to release LaRone and take cover from the fire.
Despite being a superiorly bred vampire she was starting to come to terms that this fight was bringing her dangerously close to death. As of now she was backed into a corner both literally and figuratively. She could make a last stand and go out fighting but no doubt history wouldn't look kindly on her if she was killed by disgusting vermin such as Orcs and Humans. Her other option was to swallow her pride and run away. However given how big her ego is she would probably choke on it as she swallowed.
She would just have to calm down think of a plan to defea- *thunk* DAMN IT ALL! Three five inch shards of ice were imbedded in Gyokuru's shoulder. If she didn't look pissed before she was now her mouth transforming into a primeval snarl while she yanked the shards out(which is actually a bad idea, it's recommended to keep shit like that in until you can find proper bandaging to apply to the wound right after removing the object in question. The more you know.), the crimson blood dripping from them.
Above the room they were in was balcony overlooking the surrounding area were the sniper in question shot. It was girl about seventeen with long lavender hair that fell to her in messy locks around her shoulder, garbed in Fairy Tale's uniform, her posture bold and deviant. The snow-bitch, she should have known, that human boy her step-daughter was found of had numerous female companions clamoring for his affections. She honestly had no idea why such beautiful young women like her daughter and her friends would waste their time on a pathetic excuse of a man even by human standards.
It was one of the many mysteries of life that perplexed her, but what was more pressing was the fact that earlier she had threatened to kill that very same human right in front of her own eyes. Mizore, the snow-girl, did not take kindly to. That event put into her mind the logical conclusion that she must kill Gyokuru.
Hormonal teenagers tend react in very exaggerated manners.
As she was distracted by the appearance of Mizore, the Imperials took this moment to unload more rounds into Gyokuru, with extreme prejudice. The shots caused her body to convulse wildly from inertia of the shots, her previously pure white dress blackened and singed in some areas or completely drenched in her own blood. At this point she was ready to ditch her losses, swallow her pride and make a run for it. Readying herself for another sprint she was interrupted by five more razor-sharp icicles piercing her torso.
She forgot about the snow-bitch. Mizore had fired off another wave of icicles from her fingers penetrating Gyokuru and was steadily descending towards her via staircase of ice from the balcony to the floor she made herself. Gyokuru didn't have enough time to contemplate her anger as yet another volley of blaster fire pelted her, now seeing her vision dim as she came close to death, her vampire regeneration not working fast enough to keep her healthy under the continuous assault of blaster fire. One last time, one last times he would gamble and try to make an escape.
Summoning all her strength she made a final attempt to flee. It did not work. For some reason her legs wouldn't move as if they were stuck. Looking down she found her answer; both her legs were frozen inside a block of ice. With her locked firmly in place the Imperials could finally finish her off with impunity. The drodiekas rolled into position and opened fire. She collapsed into a hail of fire, her ice shackles broke taking her legs with them leaving her with just two bloody stumps now.
She looked up at ones who had her at their mercy now. Those who she thought were no more than vermin were the ones who brought about her downfall. She desperately thrashed wildly on the ground like a cornered wild animal, an analogy that wasn't far off. Parts of her body were so badly burned or melted that they were far beyond repair even for a vampire's regenerative properties.
As she lay there strewn across the ground, tears started to well up in her eyes. For the first time Gyokuru felt something she hadn't felt in a long time:
Fear.
LaRone and the rest of his squadron of troopers and droids cocked their blasters and leveled it at point blank range at her head. And fired, and fired, and fired, and fired. After everything was all said and done it was nigh impossible to make out what used to be her head from the red squishy mess that was left behind.
From every orifice from the castle both natural and man/monster made came thousands of screaming panicking monsters. At failing at standing their ground against the weak humans many took to fleeing from the castle's grounds, deserting from Fairy Tale for good. A few random assortment of monsters came out in the flood of fleeing parties. Some lizard-men, werewolves, succubae, a few minor vampire, and other manner of creatures. Ahead of all of them was one lizard–man who had greater and more impressive ground than any of them. He let a toothy smile-stretch across his face as he realized that he would get to live.
Until a metallic foot unceremoniously crushed him flat into the ground. The group of fleeing monsters stooped dead in their tracks at the sight before them. Lifting its foot up from the red stain it had made the AT-ST walker, then positioned it view ports and blaster at the group of monsters. It, of course, then made the logical choice of opening fire.
Several of the braver specimens were about to charge at the walker until a concussion blast landed in the center of the group, disintegrating those who were lucky and blasting those less fortunate away with severe burns and severed limbs. From behind the AT-ST came two AT-TEs from the Clone Wars who were giving artillery cover fire. Just to make sure the message was given General Veers' overseeing the fighting within the cockpit of his AT-AT.
"Round up any survivors that are left. Lord Satanas will want some to keep as slaves and enlist in the Imperial Army."
Satanas paused, closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. He could sense great fear suddenly spike to astronomically high levels. Unlike the pathetic Jedi he did not shun the fear but let it come to him, absorb it, and let it give him its power.
"What is it? Why did you stop?" Inquired Kahlua rather innocently for someone who just butchered her former allies in cold-blood.
"I felt fear, a great sense of it come over the force and then was instantly silenced in a beautiful way. I believe your mother has finally met her demise, at the hands of humans no less."
"I bet my step-mom will get a kick out of that." During their walk together, Satanas was starting to grow rather fond of Kahlua. Perhaps after this was over he could persuade her to enlist in the Imperial forces. After all she could be a powerful ally in the coming battles against the New Republic.
Thinking of such, after he conquered this planet he would see if he could get Kahlua's influential parents to convince the other inhabitants of the planet to join the Empire. He smiled thinking about how badly the Jedi and Republic soldiers would soil their pants when they saw something as terrifying as an army of vampires, werewolves, and Cyclopes charging towards them.
"We're here." Satanas was brought out of his musings by Kahlua's voice next to him. In front of them were grand mahogany double doors.
"Dracula should be through here."
"Alright, let's get this over with."
LaRone looked at the bloody and burnt mess that was Gyokuru's body. Her head just a squishy red puddle and her body so badly burnt, melted, and marred that you couldn't tell it was once one of a beautiful albeit genocidal woman. In all he chalked that up as a successful mission.
"Good job men, let's leave the trash for the rats to pick up. We'll wait until we receive further orders from either the Admiral of the General." Looking over his shoulder he spotted Mizore who had not moved from her spot under the balcony since freezing Gyokuru, her face devoid of all emotion and icy (pun intended).
"By the way thanks for your help back there," LaRone spoke to Mizore but only received a, "You're welcome." In icy monotone as a reply.
"Right." Luckily for LaRone the Admiral chimed into his comlink saving him from having to continue a conversation with the mysterious girl.
"Attention all units, this is Grand Admiral Thrawn. Lord Satanas has just issued an orbital bombardment. Evacuate the premises immediately."
LaRone turned to his men to give them his latest orders, "Alright men you heard the Admiral, let's get out of here. This place will be nothing but a smoking crater in a few minutes. You there- huh?" LaRone looked back to where the mysterious girl was previously standing only to find her missing. Disappeared as if a phantom.
"Sith spit! Where'd she go? If she stays here any longer she'll be part of the crater. We can't let an imperial ally just die like that!"
"Commander, what should we do?" questioned a curious B1 Battle Droid. If he wasn't wearing a helmet LaRone would have pinched his nose in frustration.
"Ok, Korlo and I will take two Orcs and do a frantic sweep of the castle in search of her. The rest of you head back out and see if General Veers needs any help."
"Where is she?" Tsukune was currently holding up a random troll he and Kurumu had ran into on their path. Luckily he was terrified and scattered like the others and didn't put up much of a fight, that and Kurumu's nails were currently extended into three foot sharp claws and were currently pressed against the troll's throat. Needless to say the troll would not be trying to cheat or piss off the human or succubus.
"She's just down the hall. Go down the first corridor to the right. It will take you to where the girl is."
"Thanks." With that Kurumu's claws retracted becoming regular finger nails and the Troll used his newfound freedom to hightail it out of there. Tsukune looked down the corridor which apparently lay his good friend with new determination.
"Alright let's find Moka, get the others, and get out of here as fast as we can. We got a lucky break with the intrusion of that third party but we don't know if their just here for Fairy Tale like we are, or they're just killing indiscriminately. I'd rather not stick around to find out."
"Agreed." With the two of them on the same page they set out on the directions given to them by the troll. Making the right turn as directed, they came upon a blackened oak door with different depictions human genocides throughout history carved into various sections of the door. A slight shiver went down Tsukune's spine wondering at the thought of who possibly enjoy such decoration (meanwhile a certain Sith was admiring the lovely craftsmanship and art these doors had) Swallowing that fear for his friends he summoned all of his courage and opened the door.
There was nothing.
Well there wasn't nothing, the room was barren save for a few torches on the wall which gave the room its only light and the cage in the dead center which held the young vampire chick all this fuss was about. Usually red flags would be going off if you saw someone who was apparently needed for a sacrifice alone in a room, unguarded but Tsukune had had enough and was just happy to see her again. She didn't seem to have a scratch on her body, she still had her long pink hair, bright green eyes and pale, pale skin that denoted a vampire (except in the cases of Gyokuru and Kahlua who both had a cinnamon skin tone).
"Moka," There were tears welling up in the boys eyes at this point. "I'm so glad I found you." Moka's feelings were not likewise.
"Tsukune… it's a trap! (Admiral Ackbar felt a disturbance in the Force aboard Home One above Coruscant).
"Hello there. Mind if I interrupt?" Tsukune stopped dead-cold and ever so slowly turned his head around. Standing before him was the vampire king himself.
"Good of you to join us Mr. Aono. I've-"
"Surprise Mothafucka!" And the vampire king himself was just dropped kick by some crazed lunatic. His senses returning to him Tsukune took a look at his savior… and recognized him as the same sociopath with the laser sword who was helping the Orcs. Satanas was very pleased with himself, he expected when Kahlua called him the Lord of the Monsters he would put up more of a challenge. The Dracula was not so amused.
"What the-? Who are you?"
"Oh, me? I'm the guy here to kill you." The bluntness of the phrase caught everyone off guard. During this moment of relative calm Tsukune and Satanas took this opportunity to size up Dracula. Tsukune couldn't find an easy to properly describe him, Satanas on the other hand did. He looked like a pussy. The feared vampire lord was a bishonen pretty boy who looked like he belonged in a boy band and not as a powerful blood thirsty vampire. He had a youthful face and waist length long flowing locks. (Now excuse me, I need to vomit after just writing that.) Anywho, after he recovered from the momentary shock Dracula continued.
"It is no matter you cannot hope to defeat me. I am the most powerful being to have ever lived. I am no longer Dracula, I… am Alucard!"
There was a long pause of silence between everyone in the room again until Satanas decided to speak up.
"Excuse me, can you repeat your name again?"
"What? Umm, okay? I am Alucard!" Satanas paused again analyzing the name.
"You fucking idget, that's just your real name spelled backwards."
"How dare you speak to me like- ackkhh!" He never got to finish his sentence as the pain of having his legs cut off from a saber throw sank in.
"Listen buddy, I've had a really long day so far. Sure, I got to kill things and I enjoyed that but even that's gotten boring. My men have already dealt with your partner Gyokuru so how about I just end your miserable pretty boy ass and assume dominance over the world."
"Fool, you cannot-"
"I know, 'I can't possibly beat you' or some other spiel like that. However I won't be the one to end you."
"What?"
"Girlie."
"Coming!" The now named Alucard (whose name is not a rip-off of Hellsing by the way) was able to enjoy a fantastic down blouse of Gyokuru's daughter. He would have enjoyed it better though if she wasn't coming at him with the intent to kill. Her arm had turned back into a lethal bat-wing and she was already upon him making quick work of his legs that were already regenerating. Out of the corner of his eye Satanas took notice of the messy haired boy who at least had the brains to unlock the cage Kahlua's sister was in, happy that'll be one less distraction to deal with. Letting Tsukune continue on with his plans he looked back to the fight between Kahlua and Alucard.
Thanks to a brief talk they had before they entered the room, she's was fighting less like an animal and more like an actual fighter. She was actually dodging Alucard's throws and attacking when she had an opening, and per the plan she was only attacking his regenerating legs. As just sat and watched his young protégé at work Satanas felt two other beings approaching via the force. One unknown to him, the other he was able to identify as LaRone. Seeing as it was time to finally finish things here he quickly sent a message to the commander via private com-link and turned back to face Alucard.
"Girlie that's enough." Kahlua removed herself from Alucard, his body now torn to ribbons the casual observer now able to see his bone and internal organs from the cuts and slices Kahlua made. Of course being the most powerful vampire this was nothing to him and could regenerate even in this state unlike his collaborator Gyokuru.
"This…isn't…over," The vampire lord wheezed out as he lay in his own blood. Surveying the direct area around him and seeing that the boy was gone, seemingly having rescued Kahlua's sister. He decided it was time to finish this.
"Well it's been fun but now it's time to go. Come on girl." Satanas turned his back to Alucard as Kahlua merrily skipped along behind him. The vampire still decided he hadn't had enough and continued to taunt the Sith.
"Heh, I can't possibly die like this. In a few minutes tops I'll be restored back into prime fighting condition. No matter how many times you kill me I will outlast you." Satanas gave the vampire one last brief glance.
"Commander LaRone."
"Blaster set to stun sir." LaRone bolted from one of the open corridors in the room and shot his blaster at Alucard. From the blaster came a ring of blue that on contact with the vampire paralyzed his whole body. Any sense his nervous system had was completely shut down for the time being, a technique the Imperials found useful for rounding up unruly criminals, dissidents, and terrorists.
"Enjoy the lightshow." Satanas muttered as he exited the room.
LaRone got the message from Lord Satanas to help him out with dealing with the vampire menace. That was fine and dandy. The only problem was that he had to haul some serious ass to make it out of the castle before the Admiral's orbital bombardment began.
"Attention Troopers. The bombardment will begin in exactly twenty seconds. Clear the vicinity immediately."
Thanks for the warning, he though bitterly. It was just a straight forward path to the exit. There was nothing to worry about now- was that a kid?
In the distance he could see what appeared to be a 12-year old girl in a witch cloak outfit complete with magic wand and oversized witch hat. Part of her cloak was wedged underneath a piece of debris that effectively trapped her in place.
Mentally assessing the situation at hand, LaRone deduced that it would compromise his own safety to help her and the heroic action was not worth his time. Disregarding that he rushed over to her location anyway.
"Hold on I'm going to get you out of here." The girl only glanced briefly at LaRone before her eyes widened in terror at the skull-like face of the Stormtrooper helmet. She decide that she didn't like this man at all.
"Get away from me you big bully! Go harass someone else, you lolicon!" Apparently she still had energy to spare despite being stuck. As LaRone was trying to push the rock off of her cloak she punched and kicked repeatedly in the shins. The plastoid armor protected him from actually getting hurt but that didn't make it any less annoying.
"By the Sith, just shut up. I'm trying to help you." She wasn't having any of that and continued to punch at him. Heaving and straining LaRone was able to yank the girl free from the fallen debris. No sooner than he do that, he tucked the girl under his arm and booked it out of there. With the amount of time he spent trying to free her there was no way she could make it out before the orbital bombardment. The task was kept difficult from her constant wailing and flailing of her arms and legs, however the motivation to prolong his existence in this realm motivated him to run faster.
Ahead he saw an opening, a part of the castle wall had given away creating a hole just big enough for him and the girl to jump through. He jumped through the whole tucking into a curled ball while protecting the girl close to his torso. With the training and finesse of a Stormtrooper he able to land safely on the ground with no injury.
"There. Are you okay?" LaRone asked to the girl. In response, he got a kick in the shin and a fist in the helmet visor.
"Meanie!" She then stuck her tongue out at him and walked away. Rubbing his shin (that girl had a mean kick), he prayed that she was worth the effort it was save her.
Satanas and Kahlua stepped out of the castle and into what passed for sunlight on the current planet they were on. Ahead of him he could see a squad of four AT-ST, two AT-TE, and one AT-AT which was no doubts Veers'.
Speaking of whom, the general wasn't too far away from him. The major general was overseeing several squads of Stormtroopers who had locked the monsters that had surrendered into a cage. A fitting place for them.
"General" At the sound of his and being called Veers walked over to Satanas and saluted.
"My lord, our strategy has gone perfectly. Any minute now the Grand Admiral's orbital strike will hit."
From inside what remained of Alucard's body was dragging itself away. Hard to do when all you had to do it was your left hand and arm. In the few short minutes he was left alone his body had already started the process of regeneration.
Whoever that idiot in the mask was underestimated him. Still it bothered him about what he said about a light show. Anywho, he just had to crawl himself towards the entrance and show that little prick just who he was dealing with.
He never would get that far though.
His superior vampire sense alerted him to the change atmospheres composition. Instinctively he looked up and was greeted by the blinding green light of turbolaser plasma. The vampire "king" was no more.
"I see General." The strike had left nothing. The castle was gone and in its place was a nice charred crater. The bodies of Gyokuru and Alucard gone, their bodies disintegrated from the blast of the strike. Any remaining monster POWs just stared blankly at what had been their former headquarters. Every so slowly they moved their heads towards Satanas and the other Imperials and lowered their heads in submission.
"General, release the prisoners from their bounds."
"My lord?"
"They won't be any trouble now, they know whose in charge. Get my ship I have much work to do back on Bastion."
"As, you wish." Veers reactivated his comlink and gave his victory slogan to the troops.
"Well done gentlemen, today is ours."
AN: And finally its done. This was a pain to write, especially since this series fell from grace in my eyes but hey now I can write it the way I want it. And if any of the villains or plotlines seemed stupid in the chapter they were just as stupid in the manga. Ugg, I still have nightmares of pretty-boy Dracula. Big thanks to Z for edits.
