Maraufour to Marauone
"Sirius. How could you?" One.
"THEY TRUSTED YOU!" Two.
"I can't believe it. You were my best friend!" Three.
Sirius didn't want to know how many people had yelled at him that day. Well, there was only one. And he was mad. Very mad.
"YOU WERE MY BEST FRIEND!"
Sirius imitated the shape of sleep, and eventually Remus quieted down. "I hope you stay in Azkaban for the rest of your life," he whispered, and with that Remus Lupin left.
When he found out Pettigrew was gone, Sirius thought to himself, maybe it would be better if I was dead instead. Why did he believe that Peter could be the secret keeper? It was his trust in Peter and ignorance to his true allegiance that made everything unfold. Sirius had approached the ruined house had decided to see what and who had survived.
Sirius Black walked up the caved-in-stairs, shuddering. He took one look at the body of James Potter and felt a tear trace down his cheek.
"I'm very sorry, James," he muttered quietly, "It was my all my fault." If Lily was okay and Harry was okay, maybe everything would be okay. At least a bit of James would still be there for him and Lupin, but Sirius Black found Lily Evans on the floor, dead.
Sirius clenched his teeth. That foul, loathsome, rat-like traitor...
Harry sat in his crib, tears dripping down his chin. "Ma? P-p-a?" he asked.
Sirius glanced over at Harry; everything about him was the same—except a lightning-bolt shaped red scar poking out from his messy hair. Sirius shivered; it would be a distinguishing feature separating Harry from thousands of other anonymous green-eyed black-haired babies.
Unable to move, Sirius uttered to the child, "Lily and James are in Heaven, Harry. Rest in peace, Prongs."
Sirius sank down in his cell and buried his face in his hands. "I am innocent, I wasn't the secret keeper..."
A/N: Maybe Sirius isn't exactly innocent, but after the "Lily and James are dead and I must get revenge" thing was over, he began to change. He wanted to protect Harry from the wizard that killed them. So Sirius thought of ways to comfort Harry, because obviously the "His parents are dead because of Lord Voldemort" situation must had made him unhappy.
