Hello, my dears! *bows* This is the dark version of the fourth chapter, which my muse has allowed me to write in my environmental science class. (Small edit: this took longer than it should have, please don't forget to read the author's note at the end of the chapter.) There will be a few similarities, but that is because I wrote the Light version first ^_^ Please enjoy! *bows* *poofs away*

I see Sora run to us. He's desperately trying to escape the 'shadows'. He runs right to us. I turn to face him. He says, "Where's Kairi?! I thought she was with you two!"

"The door has opened," Riku says.

"What?" Sora said, and I gave him a smirk, waiting for Riku to say something.

"The door has opened, Cassia, Sora! Now we can go to the outside world! We may never see our parents again. This is our only chance. We can't let fear stop us! I'm not afraid of the darkness!"

I gave Sora a sinister smile, "Neither am I." No one had noticed my eyes flash gold for a second before they turned back to blue.

"Riku? Cassia?" Sora asked, trying to see if we were still his friends. Riku stretched out his hand. Darkness began attacking us, grabbing onto us like it was trying to pull us into the ground. I grabbed Riku's hand and he pulled me into a tight embrace. The darkness overtook us.

I wake up on an ice-rock-thing floating in midair. Riku's arms were still around me. I wiggle myself free and wake him up. He immediately sits up and asks, "Where are we?" He looks around and sees only me. He then yells out, "Sora?! Kairi?!"

"Hey, I don't think we need to worry, Sora's tough. He'll be fine. I'm sure he can protect her," I tried to comfort him.

A woman comes to us. She has a long black and purple… cloak? I think that's what it was. Her skin is a pale green and in her right hand, a long staff with a green gem at the top. Her eyes were a piercing yellow. She looks really familiar…Maleficent. Her name popped into my head, as it had with Terra-Dad's-or whoever he is. She walked to us and said, "Hello children. What brings you here?"

I didn't know whether or not to trust her, so I said, "We lost our home," trying not to give away much of what really happened.

She smiled, "Come with me. I'll take you to my castle." Riku jumped at the opportunity, but I stood still and raised an eyebrow at her. I mean seriously, why should I trust her? She's either going to be really nice, or have a plan that is going to screw everything and every one of us over. Based on the way obvious name. I could feel amusement in the back of my head, but I ignored it.

Riku looks at me again, this time actually seeing me, and says, "Cassia, what the hell happened to your hair and eyes?"

"Huh? What do you mean?" I look at the water. My hair turned to a raven color and my eyes turned into a piercing gold, similar to the woman's, but a different shade. "What the…" Why did all this happen? I know I shouldn't trust this woman, but Riku wants to… I thought.

Well, what do you think? I hear in my head.

Who the hell are you?!I asked the voice.

I'm someone you know, but don't remember. We met a few times, but you were always with one of them. He growled out 'them', as if he hated those who… protected me when I was small. I don't know how I remembered that, but I've been on a roll lately, so I let it slide.

I mentally sighed at him, knowing that he wouldn't elaborate. What should I call you, at least?

You're the source of the amusement I felt earlier, aren't you?

I felt his smirk. Guilty as charged.

I realized that I was being left behind again when I saw Riku walk away without me. "Riku! Wait up!" He looked at me like he was the happiest person in the universe.

I caught up and Riku asked, "You're coming with us?"

I nodded and whispered to Riku, "Yeah, I want to see how this plays out, I'm not too sure that we should give these guys our trust so easily." Riku nodded, understanding my caution. I raised my voice so that the yellow eyed woman could hear me, "Sorry about that, yes, I would like to join you. My name's Cassia ma'am." I'll go with them, if only to make sure Riku is safe.

"Oh I'm Riku."

Maleficent looked 'impressed'. "My, such manners! I think I've already taken a liking to you two!" She pointed to the castle with the heart with an x through it. "That's my castle Riku and Cassia."

I totally call bullshit on her expression! I yelled to V. I trust her a lot less now!

I could feel V's amusement as he laughed, Good idea, she's not the best person to be friends with.

I sweatdropped as we walked into a room with the strangest people I'd ever seen. Maleficent pointed at her, "That's Ursula." She was a woman whose bottom half was an octopus! Her tentacles were purple and her skin was a lighter shade. Her hair was white and stuck up, and she had gold earrings. She gave Riku a wave.

She pointed to the next one, "Oogie Boogie." The second was a bag that shaped a body, arms, legs, and a head.

The third was a man with a deep tan, a mustache-beard-thing that curled at the bottom, a large red robe, and a gold staff that was a snake head at the top. He had a red turban with a red gem on it. "Jafar," he introduced himself before Maleficent could.

The fourth was a pirate with a hook for a left hand. He wore a red hat with a white feather, and a red and white pirate outfit. "Ah'm Captain Hook."

The fifth was a blue man with blue fire for hair. He wore a black toga that went down to the floor, and that was it. "Hades, snowball and raven."

Riku and I politely said in unison, "Hello."

The woman laughed. "My, you two are very similar." I recognized that phrase, and gave her an unnoticeable glare. The man in the robe said that too. V, I think they could be in league.

V responded, I can't be sure. It would be best if we just watch and pay attention to her actions

"We get that a lot," we said together. I was surprised at the laugh they gave, it was so fake! She's planning something, I can feel it. Hey, V, what's that stuff I feel coming off of her?

That's darkness Cass. If you can feel that much coming from her, she's definitely got something planned.

"My name is Maleficent," she said. I froze to my spot. V, I've met her before, haven't I?

V sighed, Cass, I can't tell you. You know that. I mentally nodded with a sigh.

She turned to the others. "This is Riku and Cassia." She points to us respectively. "I believe they can help with our…goals."

Bingo! V said.

Hades asked, "I get bringing the boy, but why the Raven?"

I replied, "Believe it or not, I could beat Riku. I'm a natural fighter." They all looked shocked at my bluntness, even Maleficent.

`"Your abilities are shocking to say the least. Would you two care to join us?" she asked. I gave Maleficent a subtle look, one that said I know you're planning something, so I'll stay for now.

Riku replied, "I guess…" Maleficent gave Riku a sword. It was shaped like bat wing with an eye at the hilt.

I held out my hand on instinct and a key-sword-thing popped vertically into my hand with a flash of darkness and light. It had a base shape of a single edged sword, and at the base of the hilt it had a metal guard reaching till half of the handle in a half circle with spikes coming from the bottom of the guard. At the top of the hilt there is more metal going downwards, reaching a little past the end of the blade. It arches with spikes at 9, 3, and 12 o'clock with a spike in between on each side. The blade is simple, one side is straight and the other starts to be straight, then curves to meet the other side at the top. The teeth cross the blade horizontally, on the left it has a spike, and on the right the teeth shaped into a half circle with spikes similar to the metal at the top of the hilt, except turned clockwise.

That's a special Keyblade, the Aubade. You better be careful with it! It draws forth power based on your personality.V said.

I will, trust me! I replied.

Maleficent asked, "My dear, where did you get a blade like that?"

I replied like I was in trouble, "I just wanted a weapon, and this is what appeared." What's a Keyblade?

It's kinda self-explanatory! Basically it can lock or unlock any lock. It also functions as a sword.

Thanks V!I got an idea, "Maleficent, can I explore the castle a bit?"

"Allow me to show you two to your rooms first," she replied. She showed us to our rooms which were right next to each other. In mine was a black and purple bed, a desk with a chair and paper and pencils. On another wall was a dresser for clothes, being black with purple accents. The bed itself was black, with a black fitted sheet and a purple comforter with black and purple pillows. Somehow, Maleficent knew I would be here, she had to have. V, do you think she planned for something like this? The way Maleficent acted was as if she had met me before, and I noticed Hades giving me a look…

Cass, I can't tell you. You must remember on your own, or else it'll all come to you at once, and it's not the easiest past. I'm guessing V thought that I couldn't handle it. I decided to go and explore the castle, hoping to find something that proves my and V's theories wrong.

Hello my lovelies! I know it's been a long time, and I'm extremely sorry for this. I had horrible writers block over the summer (which is not a good excuse, I really am sorry for that), and have decided something because of how it happened.
My writers block stemmed from the fact that I'm posting chapters as soon as I write them. Now, this wouldn't be that bad if I had spaced myself and only post once a week or saved the chapter and then edit it. I have an idea of where I want this to go, however my problem is thus: I never made a clear posting schedule and that has messed up and somewhat destroyed the original fire I had for this story.

HOWEVER: I am very dedicated to my stories and I promise this will be fixed! I am currently writing my chapters in bulk so I can mass edit them and post them in a way where I can continue my stories in a timely manner, and have my Kingdom Hearts stories update at the same time. These stories mean a lot to me, and, until I can get to chapter fifteen with each, (not posted, just written) I will begin writing my Legend of Zelda chapters in bulk.

This should (hopefully) help with my ideas that I want to implement and the way I want to portray the characters. Please, I understand that this is probably both annoying and frustrating for many of you, but know that I am and will try my hardest to get the ball rolling for you guys. It means a lot to hear from you, and to know that people are actually reading my writing. I know, my original was cringe inducing and pretty bad, which is why I'm doing such a mass rewrite of all my stories. I will let you guys know if anything changes, and as soon as it happens.

Also, I accidentally put that this one on fan fiction dot net what the light story. This is the darker one, I promise.
