Chapter 3
Lucy's P.O.V
"Gajeel, come on! Why? Why can't she stay? "
"You know why she can't stay. We've kept this a secret for so long, we can't just let a human come live with us!"
'Huh? What's going on? That first voice sounds so familiar.
.
.
.
Natsu?
I groaned, letting my eye s open slightly, only to shut them tightly again. It was bright in the room. What a great way to wake up.
"Ah, she's awake!" I heard a soft, female voice call.
I opened my eyes, more slowly this time, blinking to get the cloudiness out of my vision.
In front of me was a girl with long, silk blue hair cascading on her back and shoulders. She had large Chocolate brown eyes full of excitement. Her porcelain white skin appeared to be glowing because of the moon that laminated the room through large window. The small girl looked to be around 13. The girl was wearing a simple black dress with white lace trimmings. She had a black laced choker, with a heart shaped ruby hanging a from a polished chain, that contrasted with her pale neck.
"Really! See I told she'd be fine!" The familiar voice that sounded like Natsu's exclaimed excitedly.
"N-Natsu?"I managed to say.
I'm surprised that she was still alive, considering how much blood you sucked from her neck." The other male voice said. He sounded angry.
The door creaked and I heard footsteps coming towards us I carefully sat up and instantly brought my hand up to my temple. I hissed in pain and checked my surroundings. There was that girls I saw before sitting beside me in a chair and a pissed off looking guy, with pierces all over his face, standing by the left corner of the bed.
"Lucy, you're okay!" Natsu pounced on the bed and hugged me.
"Natsu, get off the girl, she's probably still tired" a new voice said
"But, Sting!" Natsu whined, letting me go from his death grip of a hug
"You should really let her rest Natsu. I kind of is your fault she was dragged into this mess." Another unfamiliar voice came from the door.
"Um…I'm sorry to interrupt, but could I get and explanation over here?" I asked, starting to get confused by all the new voice I kept hearing.
"Oh right! You already know I'm Natsu." Natsu said slowly, gesturing to himself.
"Natsu, I know who you are." I sighed, slightly annoyed by his idiocy.
He grinned his signature grin and I smiled back, warmly.
"Yeah, I know. Well, the grumpy guy over there is my second oldest brother, Gajeel" He motioned to the scowling man.
He had long jet black hair and tanned skin. His face was dotted with silver piercings. He was wearing a black suit with a black neck tie. 'He sure does like the colour black.' I thought.
"Don't worry he always looks like that." Natsu whispered into my ear. He moved back and sat in front of me.
"Hey! I heard that, Salamander!" the man, now known as Gajeel, said through gritted teeth
"The blonde, pretty boy over there is my third older brother, Sting and the guy standing next to him is his twin and my fourth older brother Rouge." He nodded to the two men sitting on a chair near the large, arch shaped window. One of them, Sting, had untamed, spikey hair and the other, Rouge, had shoulder length hair that was messily tied in a short ponytail. He had a fringe covering his left eye. The both had piercing eyes that sent shivers down my spine.
"Um, Natsu-nii?" Wendy spoke, timidly.
"Hm?" Natsu hummed, getting up and walking over to the couch by the window.
"Don't you think that we should tell her… about…?" She trailed off.
Every one stared at Natsu, all expecting something from him.
"In 3, 2, 1…"I counted.
"…Ah! I forgot "He panicked
"How do you forget something so important?" Rough sighed.
"I think that Lucy-san should at least know what we are. "Wendy giggled happily
"Er… sorry. What you are?" I questioned, clearly confused.
"This may be shocking, but…the truth is…we're actually vampires." Natsu explained seriously.
"Ah…hah ha ha ha! That…that's a good one, really Natsu, stop kidding around." I laughed, trying to catch my breath.
"He's not kidding." Gajeel said with a stern look on his face.
Looking around' they all had stern faces. So was it really true?
"You're… not joking are you?" I asked cautiously.
I tensed, that atmosphere in the room changed. It was actually kind of scary.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner…but we really are…" Natsu muttered, solemnly.
"Vampires…"I whispered, finishing his sentence.
I was there, in a room full of blood sucking vampires, and my best friend was one of them.
I have to apologize for all the ellipses used in this chapter, I really don't know why I used so many of them, but I hope you liked this chapter. Don't forget to review and favorite.
