Chapter 4

The next day Lucy had said I looked brighter, like I was more alert compared to these past few days that I had put my self through depression. Lucy was right about my change in attitude, I felt happy as if the weight on my shoulders just suddenly vanished, feeling reborn again. But I still can't explain what caused me to change. Ever since I woke up this morning, I knew it was going to be a good day.

Master Makarov had called every one to an important meeting this afternoon. I'm not sure what could be so important. Nothing really happened nowadays that Master had to come out and have a conference with everyone. Plus we had our monthly meetings two weeks ago.

She sat at the bar with Lucy drinking some fresh squeezed lemonade Mira had made. 'No lie this lemonade was refreshing. Mira would make a nice mom, she's always so smiley and cheery.' Mira wasn't always like this, after her loss of her sister she had a drastic personality change. Mira and Erza were the two most feared, nobody messed with them. They were rivals, always competing with each other. 'I felt bad about her loss but what could you do? After the trip to edolas they were once reunited again.'

Finishing her last sip of the drink everyone started to crowd around the stage. 'Master must be here.' Putting down the glass she turned to Lucy, "hey Lucy wake up!" She was for some reason exhausted like if she had stayed up all night. 'Hmm I bet Natsu didn't let her sleep last night,' she gave a smirk at her thoughts while Lucy was waking up.

They headed towards the crowd, Levy couldn't see behind all the people so she squeezed to the front to get a better view. 'I'm pretty short and small and it's not even funny.' An old short man with hair sticking out from the sides of his head, wearing a yellow coat which seemed to suit him, walked through the curtains. It was Makarov, he finally made his appearance.

He started, "well first I want to congratulate you for all your hard work, you have done well children. Know down to business." He pauses and clears his throat, "beacause of your hard work we got excellent reviews this time, and got invited to a party." The crowd got excited but the old mans face got verry serious. "But this is a formal party! So don't make a fool out of us and be on your best behavior!" he said while looking at Natsu and Gray. Natsu was too excited to notice the warning. "The party will be next friday, that would give you enough time to get ready. We meet at the guild so we can all go together. Any questions?" The room was silent, "ok you may proceed with your lives." Everyone then scattered out talking to each other with excitement.

He heads down the stage and sits on his usual spot on the bar table. Levy scanned the room, everyone was excited, some even started to practice dancing with each other.

Across the guild Gajeel was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, and his eyes close in a meditative state. He was trying to ignore all the excitement around him, but then Natsu came flying towards Gajeel, knocking him off his position.

"What do you think your doing idiot? You wanna start a fight?" he growled bringing his fist to Natsu's face.

"You were in my way!" The spiky pink haired boy argued back.

"I was just standing here and you just came flying out of nowhere!"

They started fighting which lasted a little while till Erza came by to snatch Natsu away. She was ferrous, cake was smeared all over her nicely polished armor. Natsu had bumped into her when she was eating her cake while he was in a fight with Gray. Theres always one thing you never do, bother Erza while she eats cake. That's just suicide! She wrestled him to the grown taking out her anger till she was calm. This little fight became an all out war, people jumped in and knocked each other out.

Erza had Natsu in a head lock, "say I'm sorry!"

"I'm so..." the pink haired boy was gasping for air, he tried to break free.

"I can't hear you," she tightens her arm around his neck.

"Hah, give him a chance to say it," Gajeel had started to laugh.

She gave him a death look that gave him the chills down his spine. "You want to be next?" He swallowed hard and shook his head. She turns her head back at the pink haired boy. "Say it!"

"Okay, okay... I'm... sorry for disrupting your cake time."

"Good." She let him go and walked back to the table were Mira had brought her another piece of cake. She sat down and her facial expression totally changed in an instant when she saw the cake.

I couldn't help but laugh at the whole scenario. Yeah Fairy Tail was the best, They were her family, and she loved them.

The party was five days away. Lucy and Erza insisted on shopping for a new dress. I got dragged along by Lucy, but didn't really mind I wanted a new dress my self. Wendy and Carla tagged along as well, they didn't have nothing to do that day.

Natsu insisted on going and Gray tagged along but Erza told them it was an all girls day no boys. They didn't seem to understand that no was no so Erza had to go and beat them to a pulp.

Walking around town we ended up in a shop. "Magnolias dress shop" read the sign. We entered and the shop was dress paradise. They had all colors, all types, and for all occasions. The racks were filed with dresses, dresses hung on the wall, dresses were in pictures and magazines, it seemed so unreal.

Erza couldn't hold back her excitement. She bounced off the walls piling dresses to try on. You could tell she was a regular costumer, because the assistance helped her pick out dresses.

Lucy was in the ball gowns section rummaging through. Wendy was at the kids section because she couldn't fit any of the elegant dresses. I on the other hand wanted a more flowy look. I don't have the curves to fit the dresses Erza and Lucy wore.

Having a small pile of dresses my own, I fell upon this salmony pastel pink dress. The dress had a lacy strap with tiny ruffles that went from right shoulder to the left side of the waist. Below the waist it flowed out from high to low. It was gorgeous.

She whent to go try it on with the rest of the dresses. Lucy and Erza were already in the fitting rooms trying on their dresses. Wendy was still around picking a few to have a variety to chose from.

Trying on the dresses, none of the ones she picked fit her image. They were two showy, a little sorter then she anticipated, or she didn't like the way it looked on her. She slipped on the salmony pink pastel dress, zipped the zipper on the back, and stared at her self in the mirror that was in the fitting room. The dress hugged her body perfectly, and the bottom of the dress flowed every time she twirled around. Both shoulder straps fell to the side of her arms revealing a sexy look. She knew this was the one.

She took her dress to the register, and was surprised with how low the price was for the dress. After she paid she waited for every one to finish paying as well. Erza had gotten that blue dress that really complimented her hair and brought out her eyes. Lucy had a dark pink dress that had a v line down the back exposing much skin. Wendy had a white dress that had blue jewels that glitter in the light. She had also bought Carla a necklace with pink jewels.

When they stepped out of the store it had gotten a bit late. Lucy went to her apartment to put her dress away, while me, Wendy, Carla, and Erza when to the dorms. Today was pretty fun day.

Next is the dance. there will be match making and pairs.
