Bonjour! Apologies about he long delay, but its exam time again and well studying is being enforced by my parents, not by my own choice FYI. Next couple of chapters will be quite short but that'll mean I can do more in a week, so bare with me. So...It was Eddie all that time huh? How did you guess? Well Eddie is away to 'talk' to Brennan and Andy is away to 'talk' to Booth...Should be fun?

Delirious.
Cold and alone.
Temperance Brennan hated those situations. As her eyes slowly opened, her head began to spin, feeling light-headed she closed them again giving her some relief. When the sickening feeling subsided, she carefully opened her eyes again, she was partially gratefully that her head was covered in some kind of thatched bag, which turned all light into nothing but a dark ominous shadow cast across the room. She wriggled around on the floor, trying to free her bound wrists and ankles, her endevours were fruitless and her eyes began to fill with salty tears as she was finally woken to the fact that she was utterly alone. She shuffled around on the floor, her lips parted, daring to speak one very familiar syllable, Booth. Even the sound of the word comforted her. Booth. She spoke it again hoping there would be some form of answer, there wasn't. At this the tears began to tumble town her smooth cheeks. She tried to rise from the dirty, coarse carpet rocking back and forward gaining momentum and she finally sat up. She stretched her legs out, swinging them around on the floor, trying to find a solid form. Again her attempts were unsuccessful.
Her stammered breath became even more unsteady, she lay back down, trying to order her thoughts which were flying around her head at worrying speeds. She failed to organize her head and panic began to set in, she wriggled around incessantly, pulling and twisting her wrists around trying to loosen the ropes confining her to nothing but a useless bundle on the floor. She hated, no, despised being undermined, weakened by supressors whose only goal was to cripple their will. As she attempted to remove herself from her situation, a static, crackling came from the opposite side of the room. She froze. Her blood almost stopped pumping through her body, her eyes didn't even shift in its direction. It wasn't the static from the broken tv in Booth and her motel room, it was that from walkie talkie. This unnerved her even more, the fact that someone might be in that room with her, silently watching her every move, without her knowledge. He crackled again and a voice began to chatter.
"Eddie? You there man? She awake yet?" Andy asked incessantly.
Brennan listened to the voices questions fade of into incoherent mumbles, she didn't even want to listen. As the voice continued to repeatedly call for Eddie, she heard footsteps tramp up the hallway and halt outside the door. She froze again as the door swung open, slamming against the wall behind it. The footsteps rushed across the room, rushing past Brennan on the floor as if she were completely invisible. The figure walked over to the walkie talkie, he grabbed it harshly and stuffed it in his pocket. He then crossed the room again and stopped infront of Brennan. He bent down and clutched a handfull of the bag and yanked it off. Her eyes were then attacked by the flooding light which had over-powered the dark shadow from before. She was met by the face of Eddie, now with his glasses perched upon his nose once more, his hair was less scruffy and the impressive cut on his head had been cleaned. He gazed down at her endlessly, pushing the stray strands of messy hair away from her face. She struggled away from him, pushing herself along the floor. He nodded and crossed the room and sat on a chair behind her.
"So...Bones, ca..." He started.
"Don't you dare call me Bones!" She retorted.
"Wow...Touchy, he's allowed to call you it though, why can't I?" Eddie wondered.
Brennan stayed silent on the floor, not acknowledging Eddie's existence. He nodded again, and dug around in his pocket for his walkie talkie. "Andy?" He asked loudly.
"Yo." Andy answered coolly.
"You can go 'talk' to him now." Eddie ordered sarcastically.
Brennan suddenly became alert to their conversation, hearing the hint of sarcasm in his voice, she became nervous and began twisting around on the floor. He swayed around the room, a confident air around him, he kept a watchful eye on Brennan as he continued to listen on the other end. Andy shuffled around on the other end, opening doors and slamming them behind him. She knew that Eddie was letting her listen for some reason, and she now had a slight impression that she wasn't going to like why. Eddie had now had occupied the empty space on the bed, he placed the walkie talkie infront of her, and simply gazed down at her, his arms crossed over his chest.
Brennan's eyes were torn away from his attentive gaze, to the walkie talkie with the dimpled spots, waiting anxiously for any voice to fill the air around her. She heard a metal door whoosh open and slam against a wall behind it. Loud footsteps thudded, a sequence of muffled shouts ensued. "Shut up!" Andy yelled furiously. When the shouts continued, heard a fist cut through the air and crash against a face, the sickening sound of a fist connecting with a face that she knew all to well made her stomach churn. The nauseating sound continued, and all of the stifled shouts had subsided. A loud crash rang out from a chair falling to the ground, the punching sound ceased. She found herself curled up into a ball, tears tumbling down her face and dripping off the edge of her cheek. She gave a pleading look to the small black device, hoping profusely that it was all over. Pleads were useless. At this point nothing would stop them.
A foot sliced through the air, colliding with his ribs, a repetitive motion like the tide coming in a ebbing back. Seeley Booth had been in worst circumstances than this, but the fact that someone he loved was out of his sight, could be in a situation that he didn't even think about in his worst nightmares. The pain he felt was nothing but a small reminder compared to the dread he felt for Brennan's safety. He had no idea that she was hurting as much as he was. He foresaw every swift kick, his attacker would jump back onto his left foot, gain momentum and power in his right and swing it directly into the same place every time.
"Stop it!" Brennan screamed, and Eddie looked up surprised.
Booth's eyes immediately switched to the device in Andy's pocket. He furiously stopped and yanked the device from his pocket and angrily stomped up to Booth, tearing the duct tape from his mouth.
"All you had to do was ask, he could have been pain free if you had just asked." Andy informed her smugly.
"Bones don't listen to him!" Booth shouted breathlessly.
Her tears continued to fall, Booth could hear them crash to the floor. She closed her eyes and tried to block out all the voices around her, she very quickly stamped out Andy's but Booth's was impossible to block. Even his desperate, fearful, yells acted as a drug to cure her of all fear, she stopped shaking and her nervous twisting and wriggling had ceased. When Eddie saw this he gave a satisfied smile, he merrily walked up to the walkie talkie and held it to his mouth.
"That'll do Andy." Eddie ordered and Andy mumbled unhappily.
Eddie flicked a switch on the walkie talkie and it buzzed then the lights faded, as did Brennan's tears. They dried on her cheeks, they completely halted on her flawless skin. He stood for a minute, a pensive look played across his face, followed by a confident smile. He fished around in his pocket and pulled out a pocket-knife, Brennan's eyes widened but Eddie gave her a ensuring look. He sliced the ropes around her wrists in one impressive motion, he done the same with her ankles. He grabbed her by the forearm and hauled her up from the floor. She instantly slapped his hand away and he nodded fairly. He pointed towards the door and she slowly opened the door, full of caution.
He led Brennan up a familiar corridor and stopped at a door with 'Authorized Personnel Only' labeled on it in large, unfriendly writing. He swung the door open and hauled Brennan through with him. He dragged her through the unfamiliar corridor, passing fully furnished rooms, unlike the one she and Booth were in. He stopped at a seperate bathroom and tossed her in like she was an unwanted toy. She landed hard on the cold, unkind tiles, dirt clogged in every crevice. She shuffled along to the wall furthest away from the door, brought her knees up to her chest and craddled them for some sort of comfort. The unopened window behind her sent blasts of frostbitten air through the room, chilling her with the glacial winds. The shaking had now returned, as did the tears, both from the cold and from the fear of what was going on around her. She knew from only the sound of how hard Booth was being kicked that he was in no condition to swoop in and save her. But for the first time in her life, let faith become a factor, rather than reason.

Booth had since been released from his bounds, now wearing a new black eye, numerous cuts and scrapes along his jaw-line and under his eyes. The pain in his ribs was excruciating, under his black t-shirt he knew that there was definately going to be bruises arriving there. When he heard that scream from over the walkie talkie he felt the greatest sense of relief, his mind instantly settled, knowing she was breathing was enough. After Andy had liberated Booth from his ropes he took and immediate lunge for him, punching him right in the jaw, sending him flying. Afterwards he received another rapid kick to the ribs and Andy retreated, his hand aiding his swollen jaw.
Booth had retired to the back wall, gazing into darkness, his arm wrapped firmly around his injured ribs. The trickle of blood from his forehead had subsided, leaving a trail of red down his cheek and along his jaw. A small band of light bled through the bottom of the door, only giving light to a small portion of the room. Feeling useless he slowly made his way to a standing position, rising along the wall. He slowly walked around, nothing but a hollow room. He stopped at the door, hearing muffled voices and footsteps outside the door he moved away. As he turned the heavy door swung open, to his surprise Eddie did not arrive with a posse of thugs, he came alone with the smug air around him.
"Well, honestly, you look like crap." Eddie said brutally.
"Had a bit of a rough day...Where is she?" Booth admitted.
"I gathered that, why don't you come with me?" Eddie asked calmly.
"I wanna know where she is." Booth asked again, his temper rising.
"Well if you come with me you'll find out." Eddie smiled, Booth watched him carefully.
Booth continued to eye him suspiciously, wondering if he was genuinely going to take him to Brennan or if he was just in for another beating. Booth could read people with one look, but this man stumped him. His eyes were emotionless, no flicker of uncertainty, no hint of doubt. He knew what he was doing. But Booth didn't. He followed. Eddie wasn't posing a threat to him, Booth knew that if he tried anything, he would be able to over-power him even in his injured state. Eddie waltzed along the corridor, whistling a tune and swayed his arms back and forth. Booth was still utterly bemused by him. Booth hobbled by open doors, bright light beaming from them. He saw Andy, Kevin and another man named Gregg sitting talking when they walked by and they instantly vaulted up from their seat in question to why Booth was walking around freely with him. He simply held his hand up, letting them know he was in control. He continued up the wider corridor and stopped at a lonesome door, he unlocked the bulky pad-lock and turned the door knob, pushing it open slightly. Eddie waved towards the door and Booth slowly pushed the door open, watching every section of the room appeared before him. The small, exposed bundle in the corner caught his eye immediately.
Her head lifted to the sound of the door opening, when her pensive gaze rested on Booth's beaten and fatigued figure, her eyes told a completely different story. Eddie slammed the door behind Booth, but he didn't even flinch. Brennan rose from the raw floor and moved closer to him, not knowing whether to wrap her arms around his neck or to take a more gentle approach. She gave him a weak, worried and entirely forced smile. She lifted her hand to the corner of his jaw, trailing along to the cut along his bottom lip and up to the purple bruise growing on his eye. She let out a shaky breath and held the tips of her fingers to the gash on his head from the butt of his gun.
She shook her head slightly. "What did he do to you?"
"I've been worse, believe me." He admitted with a smile.
"That isn't comforting." She ensured him. "Why do you think they brought you in here with me?"
"I dunno, but Eddie really knows what he is doing." Booth announced, taking a seat on the grubby floor.
Brennan sat next to him, not pulling her knees up to her chest as she had all the security in the world sitting next to her. They sat in a thought occupied silence, wondering why Eddie would put them in the same room. Booth's thought were filled with those of danger being inflicted on him and more importantly Brennan, he looked sideways at her, her face completely absorbed in her thoughts. He shook himself inwardly and continued to watch his partner until she broke out of her reverie. She looked silently around the room, tears threatening at the corner of her eyes, keeping her gaze away from Booth's. But he inevitably caught her eye. He turned to her, lifting her chin, turning her face towards him. He looked reasurringly into her eye and she forced a feeble smile. That was all she needed, the look in his eye said it all, it was going to be okay.

"Eddie, man are you sure about this?" Kevin argued.
"Of course I'm sure!" Eddie bellowed.
"Look, Eddie...The guys an FBI agent, you heard the call, his guys are gonna be here in a day - what do you think they are gonna do if they come here with a dead agent and his girlfriend?" Andy asked, agreeing with Kevin.
"Yes I'm fukin' sure - Andy in the morning take the girl out to the drop-off point - Kevin you take him to his, give them an hour or so then finished the job, I want this done properly - No messin' around like last time!" Eddie ordered, roaring at the pair.
