Chapter 4: The Date that went Wrong.
Kid POV (At the mansion)
"Patty! Don't break the tv!" Liz's voice rang through my ears as I heard her shout.
I sighed. Patty will ruin the symmetry if she broke one of the tv's. I dressed up with my casual wear, grabbed some money.
" Liz. Make sure Patty doesn't ruin the symmetry while I'm gone." I said as walked through the door.
Liz's head turned to my way very fast and she asked, "Where the hell are you going?"
"Remember that I have a deal with Father and I'm going out to date Maka." I explained.
"Hehehe~ Kid and Maka are goin' on a date~." Patty said like she was drunk. I sweat dropped.
"Right." Liz said while smirking. I raised my eyebrow in curiosity. What is she smirking about?
"I'll be off." I said and walked outside. I heard Patty and Liz said goodbye before I closed the door behind me.
I looked at my watch and checked the time. Death, it is 7:55 pm. I can't be late! I chose to run to her house then.
Maka POV (At the house)
My father was still sick. I managed to pay for the bills and all and Crona looked a bit skinny now.
"Sis, will father be okay?" Crona asked. I checked his temperature. It was high. Curse it, he has a fever.
"He just has a fever. I think I don't have enough money now to buy food and medicine." I said as I checked my wallet which is pretty low in bills.
"Um, I have some money I saved." Crona said and went to her room and ran back to be to give me coins worth a dollar.
"So we only have 8 dollars, adding that. Death, why are we so poor?" I said as I looked at it and sighed. 8 dollars is enough for a spoonful of food.
"Tch. It's because of your mother. Being a scum, she left us with all the damn money." My father said, coughing between words.
"Don't bad mouth our mother!" I shouted at him. My dad just kept silent and covered himself with the worn blanket.
I huffed and check the time in my old cellphone. It was 7: 58 pm. Shit. Only two minutes left. I got up and dress up with my most comfortable dress and told Crona to watch over Papa.
Normal POV (The streets of Death City)
Kid was looking around for Maka's house and forgot that he freaking doesn't know where the hell she lives. Kid contacted Tsubaki and waited for her to answer the call.
"Hello Kid."
"Ah, Tsubaki. I want to ask something."
"What is it then?"
"Do you know where Maka lives?"
"Unfortunately, no. But I'll give you her number?"
"Ah, that would be helpful. Thanks, Tsubaki. I owe you."
"No problem. I just send it to you via text."
"Um, Tsubaki."
"Yes, Kid?"
"I wonder where there is a good place that I could treat Maka to dinner."
She then giggled, "Um, downtown. There are good places there. It depends on you what kind of cuisine you want."
"Thanks Tsubaki. You're a life saver." Kid said and ended the call. He received the text and called the number. Maka picked it up.
"Where the hell are you?!" Kid shouted. He might guess that Maka made her phone away from her ear.
"What the hell Kid! I'm not deaf. Just so you know, I'm at 7 Eleven right now. Now get your ass here!"
Kid glared at the phone and said, "On my way you annoying cow."
"Annoying zebra." She then hung up.
Normal POV (7 Eleven)
Kid and Maka met up then and sat for a bit.
"What took you so long?" Maka said, huffing.
Kid was panting hard and said, "Human traffic. I just had to run all the way here."
"How did you get my number, Zebra?" Maka said with his new nickname. Kid hissed at it.
"From Tsubaki, you Cow." Kid taunted. Maka actually have the urge to hit him with a book.
"Now, let's go eat now. I'm starve. Or you're fat ass is too big for you to walk?" Kid taunted more while smirking.
Maka was VERY pissed by now and grabbed a random 4- inch book from nowhere and gave a deadly aura.
" Maka- CHOP!" The book hit Kid's skull, hard and now at the dent arises a blood fountain.
"Serves you right." Maka muttered.
"Ugh." Kid groaned while rubbing his head.
"Now c'mon. Let's go." Maka said and grabbed his hand.
Kid POV (7 Eleven)
"Ugh." I muttered as I rubbed my head.
"Now c'mon. Let's go." I heard Maka said and grabbed my hand. I'm lucky she was facing forward or she would've seen my face burning up.
Wait, what?! Did I just freaking blush?! What the hell! I don't even have feeling for her! She is not my type, who is aggressive, nerdy, poor and annoying! Don't tell me I've develop some feelings for this Cow?
Normal POV (after the date, streets)
Both were actually full, after eating at a Chinese cuisine and they decided to walk around downtown since people sell things, food, etc.
"You know, for once, I like you." Maka said as she ate her cotton candy.
"Tch. It is a date. So might make it a real one. I bet this is your first, huh." Kid said.
Maka blushed and said, "Of course not."
"Liar." Kid thought. "Swallow up you pride Albarn. You really never had a date before." Kid said.
"I said I did. Didn't I?!" Maka said, glaring. Kid chuckled at Maka's flushed face with anger and embarrassment.
"Be lucky that your first date is with me. Many girls would die to be in your shoes." Kid said boastfully.
"Stop being a cocky asshole. Who would want to date a frog prince?" Maka hissed.
"You are the most annoying person I have ever met!" Kid said.
"Likewise, jackass!" Maka shouted.
"Go rot in you damn dirty hole, you loser. You look like a nerd, and your family is poor!" Kid said.
Maka's face was filled with anger, hatred, and sorrow.
"How dare you insult my family like that! We are poor, yes. But at least we are not a snobby, conceited jackass like you! I HATE YOU!" Maka shouted and she was in the brink of tears and ran away as fast as she could.
"Maka, I'm sorry! Wait!" Kid shouted but Maka was too far now to hear it.
"Way to go Kid. You just ruined the damn date." Kid muttered and walked back to the mansion, with guilt and loneliness.
