Ruby barely had time to process what happened next as the Fearow came at her with amazing speed trying to jab her with his beak;

"Oh Arceus!" Ruby exclaimed as she narrowly missed being hit by the sharp appendance by swaying to the right. The Espeon tried to get a hold of the situation before the Fearow could strike again, but that was next to impossible at his speed; she realized this as she felt his beak smash into her left shoulder blade. Ruby felt her body sliding back from the force of the blow, though she didn't topple over because she was able to dig her claws in the metal to help support her before the blow. The crooked-pawed Espeon got a hold of herself and leaped to the left to avoid another peck before swiftly having to lean back to the right as the bird-like pokemon tried to peck her again; this process continued until the Fearow become impatient and pulled away with a quick flap of his wings.

"You're quick sweet heart!" He purred with a small glare, "But, let's see you dodge this!" The Fearow slashed his right wing though the air, sending out a wave a purple rings; of course Ruby didn't recognize the move but she knew she would have no time to dodge it. The Espeon took the blow head on- horrible idea. Pain streaked through her body as the purple waves flooded her body- it was extremely painful, even more so than regular moves; but why? Why would some stupid purple waves hurt her more than moves like Ice Fang and Thunderbolt?

Her dark blue eyes glared icily at the bird pokemon; it must've been higher level than her, a waaaay higher level than her.

"What's wrong Darling? Do dark type moves hurt?" He questioned devilishly as his human smirked and laughed, (probably at her confusion). Ruby hissed and continued to glare at the bird; who stayed silent simply looking her over for a few moments before bursting with laughter- taking the Espeon completely off guard. This clearly took the rest of the Eeveelutions off guard as the room filled with confused whispers and stares at the Fearow- even Thunder, usually the most composed of them all was taken aback by the trained pokemon's action.

Ruby looked to Pat, who was standing in the same place with Jay; her brothers eyes went from the bird-like pokemon to her. The Espeon crocked her head to the side before looking to the Fearow and then back to her brother. The Eevee responded by sticking out his ears so they were sticking out of the sides of his head, he began to move them in a circular motion while he stuck his tongue out and flicked his eyes all around the room- a thing that she and her brother called 'crazy eyes'. Jay perked up at the Eevees actions before looking to Ruby and nodding while doing the same thing with his ears; the Espeon nodded back agreeing with the two males: This Fearow was insane.

Ruby's attention was called back to the bird as his laughter died down;

"You really don't know?" He asked her with an almost light tone, this only caused Ruby's confusion to grow even more; the bird to chuckle darkly;

"Then you're even stupider than you look; Physic types are weak to Dark, Bug, and Ghost types." He stated calmly. Ruby's mouth gaped open for a few moments before she nearly lost it;

"THAT was what was so damn funny!?" She exclaimed harshly, stamping her crooked paw against the cold floor in rage. "Seriously!? You act as if everyone knows that!" She exclaimed with an irritated roll of her dark blue eyes while tossing her head to the right for emphasis. The room went dead silent after that statement; causing Ruby to look around the room, becoming more irritated at the snickers that began to slowly slip around the barred prison. "What!?" She demanded to the Leafeon who had kicked her in the ribs earlier.

The Grass-Type continued to snicker, clearly not fazed by the Espeon's growing rage. After a few moments she regained her composure and simply glared at the Espeon in a 'snooty' way as she rolled her eyes "Of course you wouldn't know this; but usually young pokemon are taught about element types a few months after their birth so they will know how to defend themselves in the future; duh."

Her statement only caused the Fearow to break out into more laughter while almost everyone else snickered at Ruby's 'stupidity'. The Espeon snorted in irritation; she honestly didn't care what they said, it's not her fault they didn't teach her anything. In that moment, as she began to think more and more about her life and birth; she began to wonder why she was so afraid of everyone and everything. She had always been so shy and obeying. She had always believed in what everyone around her was saying; but why? Why would she believe that she was put here by mistake? That all she would ever grow up to be was a failure no matter how hard she tried; why would she let her mind adapt to such a thought? Was that all she would ever be to anyone? A failure? A mistake? An omega?

Her eyes looked all around the room; her eyes focusing on all of the Eeveelutions for a split second before they moved on to look at another snickering face. The Espeon 's eyes lingered on Topaz and Thunder; they had hated her since the beginning. She remembered seeing her mother's wide, excited smile disappearing in a flash as she looked down at her new kit; of course, at the time Ruby had no clue what was wrong so she had kept giggling happily and kept trying to nuzzle her mother. She remembered how the Glaceon pulled away and continued to look at Ruby's paw in disgust. The Glaceon had turned to her mate and had hissed something quietly

'Something went wrong.'

The Jolteon didn't seem to acknowledge what Topaz had said; instead he had continued to look at her; emotionless.

"Broken…" Ruby muttered quietly, looking down at her crooked paw; she examined it closely. She took in how it almost looked normal, but the flaw was that it was bent to the right slightly, and one could see the 'wrist' bone popping out ever-so-slightly. That is what made her different? Some stupid paw? It made her a flaw to the world? It made her broken?

The Espeon's eyes flicked to Jay; mainly focusing on his glowing blue rings. He's a shiny. That's what connected them. He was broken, and so was she. But; why? Why were they treated horribly for being different? Because their markings were a different color or their paw was slightly crooked. What about that made them so 'ugly' that they had to be treated like dirt? Why were their flaws, which they had no control over, so bad? What harm were they causing? Why?

The more Ruby thought about it; the angrier it made her to the point where flecks of red were leaking into the edges of her vision. There were so many questions, and no answers! It pissed the Espeon off to no end. Why? Why was the world like this!? Why were they considered bad in everyone's eyes?! Why!?

Something in Ruby snapped.

"Why!?" Ruby suddenly screeched, causing the air to fall silent. She was glaring daggers at the bird pokemon and human in front of her; the things she was about to take her anger out on. The anger she had been storing up all of her life without even knowing.

The Espeon was panting; her body felt as if it were on fire; as if every muscle in her body was burning with adrenaline. The bird snorted in disgust;

"Why what?" He sneered with a roll of his eyes. The Espeon growled quietly and continued to scowl;

"Of course you won't know." She repeated the Leafeon's words from earlier, "YOU aren't flawed. You were raised by a mangy human; you wouldn't know what it's like to be treated like shit everyday of your life." She hissed out, her body trembling from the mount of rage that was building up inside of her. Ruby heard a small snort;

"Don't mind her; she's just throwing a hissy fit." A Flareon to her right scoffed with a roll of his eyes. Ruby whipped around to face him, and quicker than anyone could've imagined, Ruby raised her crooked paw and slapped him. The force of the blow was so much that the Flareon was literally thrown a few feet away, causing him to crash into a Vaporeon that was standing beside him. The two tumbled into the electric bars; their screams seemed to echo in the night, causing almost everyone to flinch back because of the sickening sounds.

"Shut your fucking mouth." She snarled before turning back to face the Fearow, who seemed slightly shocked;

"Hey! You can't do that! You're a stupid omega!" Someone called from the crowd of gathered Eeveelutions; Ruby turned around and faced them- her glare still plastered on her face;

"You wanna try me?" She said in an eerily calm tone.

Silence was her only response. The Espeon snorted and turned back around; still not fazed by her own behavior, well, not yet any way.

"Fearow! Enough chit-chat! She's killing off more of our profit! Use Fury Attack!" The human had finally got his head out of his ass and was once again paying attention to the situation at hand. The bird-like pokemon's shock was replaced by a smirk. The older pokemon flapped his powerful wings and prepared himself to strike.

Out of the corner of her eye Ruby saw Jay took a step forward, trying to get into the battle to help her. Ruby swung her head in his direction, stopping the Shiny Umbreon dead in his tracks. Ruby shook her head, a gesture for him to stay out of it; which he quietly protested by shaking his head back. Ruby glared at him and slashed her dual tails through the air; ending any further communication for the time being.

"Ruby! Don't do it!" She heard Pat cry, but she ignored it and stared down the large bird pokemon; who suddenly launched himself at her.

Ruby swiftly launched herself over the bird pokemon, successfully avoiding his attack, and executing one of her own. The Espeon latched herself onto the Fearow's back; quickly biting down on his neck to hold herself in place. Ruby began violently raking her claws down the creature's back; causing him to falter and screech in pain; Fearow began to thrash around violently, trying in vain to get the Espeon off of his back. Ruby bit down harder on his neck, blood rushing into her mouth as she did so, only encouraging her to bite down harder; Fearow screeched again and only thrashed even more.

"Fearow, use Agility!" Ruby felt like the air punched her in the face as she bit down even harder; trying her best to stay on the larger pokemon's back. Ruby felt her grip loosening, and decided that letting go would do less damage than being smashed into the ground; the Espeon leaped off of the bird-like pokemon's back landing perfectly on the cold steel floor. The Espeon's dark blue eyes glared calmly at the bird pokemon; he whipped around and growled in anger, holding himself back as he waited for his next command.

"Areal Ace!"

Ruby mentally cursed herself; Areal Ace is a move that never misses- there was no way she could possibly dodge it! The Espeon closed her eyes and braced herself for the attack; which came extremely quickly. The omega felt the weight of another body smash into hers; Ruby gasped in pain, her breath was literally knocked out of her! She felt her body fly through the air, but it didn't smash into the cold stone floor like she had intended; the Fearow had circled back around and smashed into her a second time, this one more forceful than the last. This time, Ruby's body smashed into the steel floor with a sickening crack

"Gah!" Ruby hissed in pain as a horrible aching racked her body;

"Fearow use Fury Attack." Ruby had no time to react before Fearow was on her, stabbing her mercilessly with his long, sharp beak. With every jab the Espeon could hear the bird-like pokemon's maniac laughter growing louder and louder; clearly enjoying her suffering. And along with that, she could feel her confidence draining with it; that adrenaline fading with it.

"Let her rot."

"Stupid omega; can't even stand up correctly."

"What are you gawking at Crocked Paw?"

"Worthless!"

"Weak!"

"Pathetic!"

"You shouldn't be allowed to live."

"Something went wrong."

"Ugly piece of shit! As if you could ever find a mate with that thing."

"I wish you had never been born!"

"You don't deserve to live!"

"What's wrong sweet pea? Too weak to fight back?" His final peck was more painful than the others, and it left a deeper scar. Ruby cried out in pain as she felt his beak sink about a few inches into her side; warm blood flowed out of the wound, splattering all over him and dancing across her lavender coat.

"Ruby!" Pat cried out in worry, she could hear paw steps running across the steel floor towards her

"There is nothing wrong with you that they should be ashamed of!"

"You shouldn't care what any of them say, they don't matter, right?"

"Don't listen to her Ruby, I believe in you. And I always will, no matter what!"

"Thee simple task, to escape this dreaded prison; to freedom!"

Ruby's eyes flew open, the adrenaline rushed into her once more; covering up the pain for the time being. The Espeon growled and twisted her body upward; her crooked paw slashed down the Fearow's neck, causing him to recoil in shock. The Eeveelution snatched the side of his face with her claws, sinking them into his skin ever- so-slightly; Ruby yanked her crooked paw back causing the Fearow's head to be pulled towards hers. She yanked her head forward until she was able to reach her muzzle up and whisper into his ear hole:

"No, not to weak; just not able too." She hissed quietly; before she put every ounce of force into the next thing she did. Ruby used her paw to force the bird-like pokemon's head sideways towards the steel floor; during the action she was able to quickly stand up and finish the action by slamming a second paw down into his beak. His head slammed into the floor with a loud sickening sound that could only be described as a mix between a thud and a crack; the force was so much that the bird-like pokemon's body toppled over with him.

The room was quiet except for Ruby and Fearow's heavy breathing. The Espeon turned her head to look at Pat and Jay; the Eevee was frozen where he was; which was a few inches away from the two dueling pokemon. Pat's face was filled with shock and relief while Jay was simply awe-struck in his place; Ruby couldn't help but chuckle at the two;

"You two look like you've seen a ghost." She said simply, still smiling. Pat had small tears dancing in his eyes, but he broke out into a wide smile;

"T-that was scary." He said, his voice small and quiet.

"For you or me?" Ruby asked quietly with a small smile; she was able to hear a choking sound coming from the Fearow. The Espeon shifted her gaze toward the large bird pokemon as a small hiss emitted from her throat; "Don't you dare try to get up." She said, her voice was filled with venom, even though it sounded very 'raspy'. "Keep in mind I can easily attempt to slice your throat open right here, right now."

The Fearow didn't try to move, but he did draw in a shaky breath of air before speaking;

"You didn't throw out a single move." He said simply, his pale lavender eyes were now dull with shock even with the moonlight filtering though the bared cage. "And yet, you managed to get me in a pretty bad situation, how?" He asked, seemingly genuinely curious. The Espeon's cold glare didn't soften at his words; if anything, it just grew icier with every word his spoke;

"When you realize you've been submitting to nothing your entire life; and have been through hell before you figure it out- all of that anger fuels you." She answered, sounding older than she really was. The bird-like pokemon seemed to ponder this briefly, before his eyes focused on Ruby once more.

"To be perfectly honest, I've never really thought about it that way. Like you said, I've been raised by a human- I've been catered to all of my life; so I really wouldn't know what it's like being in your position." He said, the rage from before seeming to fade. "Though, I've been in much harder battles before- this one was odd, more of a mental battle for you more than anything." Before he continued, Ruby cut him off;

"If you think you can sweet-talk your way out of this, you're wrong." She growled bitterly, causing the Fearow to chuckle;

"My apologies, but I'm bipolar." He said simply; causing Ruby to be taken aback slightly;

"What's Bipolar?" Pat asked from behind the two, the Eevee hadn't moved an inch since Ruby had last looked at him;

"Bipolar means that at one point, a person or pokemon could be extremely happy, but then the next moment they could be extremely angry or sad." Ruby answered, still not turning to look at her brother;

"Or, in my case; at one moment I'm an obnoxious flirt; and then the next I'm calm. I'll actually act my age when I'm on this mood." He explained, his head shifting ever-so-slightly, "Excuse me miss, but I never got your name." He said, completely changing the topic;

"Ruby." The Espeon answered simply, her dual tails dancing in thought. She honestly didn't trust this Fearow, especially with the events that had just occurred- but she could feel the adrenaline and rage fading; so why not? Ruby was even feeling herself getting tired, she hadn't eaten an exact 'meal' in a while; and the only sleep she's gotten is when she passed out earlier.

"A pleasure to have fought you; my name is Diego; but the human usually calls me Fearow." The Espeon nodded, making a mental note of his name in case she needed it for the future;

Before any more conversation could be continued between the two; Diego was hit by a red beam of light, disappearing from under Ruby's paws. The Espeon's icy glare landed on the human, who snorted in return,

"Stupid Fearow." He muttered, "Beaten by some low-leveled Espeon."

"Gee, thanks." Ruby muttered bitterly, beginning to walk towards the human. The Espeon could feel a slight wince in her step as she walked, the hole Diego had drilled into her side burned like hell; but she didn't care. Her mind was currently thrown into torment, she wasn't thinking clearly- though this is the first time Ruby has experienced this, she somehow felt that something like this would eventually happen. "Pat, Jay; let's go, were bailing."

"Wait, what?" Pat asked, not moving. Ruby paused in her movement; turning her head to look at her brother. Pat's maroon eyes twinkled with curiosity and confusion; he didn't completely understand what was going on with his sister; that much was clear to the Espeon.

"You heard me." She said simply, causing shock to finally dance across Pat's features;

"Ruby! You know the rules! Omegas aren't allowed to leave the clan! If they do they are sentenced to death." He exclaimed, taking a small step forward. The Espeon snorted in disgust;

"You'd rather stay here? Pat, your own mother tried to freeze you, is that how you want to live?" She asked, her dual tails twitching. Before the Eevee could reply, another voice spoke up;

"I'm coming with you." The shiny Umbreon took a few steps forward, hesitating ever-so-slightly as he did so. The Espeon looked him over; trying to departure if he was insulting her in some way, shape or form- which she didn't figure he would, but right now everyone was a threat to her. Though, a wide smirk did dance across Ruby's features; with the rage and adrenaline fading, she would be back to normal soon.

Her brother nodded, seeming to make up his mind about something before a wide grin was plastered on his face;

"I'll go too!" He exclaimed happily; his fluffy tail swishing in a excited motion.

"Sweet, then let's go!" She answered, turning her gaze back to the human; who was glaring daggers at the lavender colored pokemon.

"You're not going anywhere, if that's what you're thinking." He said; just then, electricity began to dance about from behind the three. The Espeon spun around and growled, glaring daggers at the Jolteon; immediately thinking that he was going to challenge her. Her father was currently standing in front of the crowd of Eeveelutions; Topaz was by his side, though she was in pretty bad shape due to her 'shock' from earlier.

"I agree with you on the fact that we need to get out of here; but afterward, you're in for a world of trouble." He snarled as electricity danced about his yellow coat. The Espeon rolled her dark blue eyes, but said nothing. She didn't want to get herself into another fury; she knew Pat was concerned because of it- he had never seen her like that. It seemed to scare him; but Ruby couldn't blame him, because she even scared herself.

The Jolteon turned around and addressed the members of the clan

"Listen up! We are getting out of here now! Charge the human, throw out any attacks that are necessary!" As soon as the words left his mouth; a wave of Eeveelutions rushed forward, all of them yelling and screaming in some sort of odd battle cry.

Ruby swiftly turned around and bolted; her lavender colored paws slamming into the floor at a hard and fast pace. She needed to get out of there before anyone else could; Jay, Pat, and herself would be able to escape during the chaos that unfolded within the next few moments. Ruby heard a heard of pawsteps thunder after her; causing her to panic ever-so-slightly; it was almost like she was going to be swept away in some sort of stampede.

The Espeon watch as Jay and Pat caught up to her; Jay was on her left and Pat was on her right; good. Now she could see both of them. The human nearly leaped out of his skin at the charging Eeveelutions;

"Fucking hell!" He exclaimed as he leaped away from the space that acted as a door, Ruby smirked and picked up her pace; her heart was beating so fast she thought it would burst. 'Finally! Freedom! We're so close; this just needs to work and then…'

That's when Ruby realized there was a hole in her plan; a pretty big one at that: Where the hell were they going to go? After all of the chaos unfolded, chances are after all of them escaped from the giant cage; Thunder would want to get them in order as soon as possible, meaning Ruby and company would only have a minute, possibly less, to get the fuck out of there. Her dark blue eyes focused on Pat; who looked at her, then to the open door, than to the forest just a bit further from it. Ruby nodded as a smirk played across the sibling's faces; Pat's maroon eyes then focused on the area ahead of them once more, while Ruby turned to look at Jay.

Clearly, Jay had been paying attention to the two because as soon as Ruby looked to him, he nodded and picked up his speed. The crooked pawed Espeon followed his lead and began to close the gap between them and freedom.

"Jay, fire off an attack!" Ruby exclaimed as the door become closer and closer; the shiny Umbreon looked at her with confusion; clearly not understanding Ruby's motive;

"Why?" He asked, though he seemed a little short on breath;

"Don't fucking question me! Just do it!" Ruby exclaimed in slight panic; the Shiny Umbreon quickly began emitting the same purple waves that the Fearow from before had used on her when they were battling. The attack sparked wildly off the bars as the electricity fought back violently against the attack;

"Fire off your attacks!" Topaz exclaimed hastily; causing a load of attacks to be fired in many directions. Everything was sparking wildly, even as the trio bolted out into the clearing. Everything in and around the cage was sparking wildly with electricity and with a variety of attacks. Ruby could hear cries of panic and anger coming from the many members of the pack, though she didn't care; right now she needed the chaos to erupt.

"Now what?" Pat exclaimed over the yelling;

"Create hell!" She exclaimed rushing into the fray of Eeveelutions pouring out of the iron bared cage, leaving the males behind, hoping they would follow her orders. The Espeon smirked; causing chaos seemed to be a natural trait for her, so this would actually be pretty enjoyable. She rushed up to a Flareon who had just ran out of the cage and slapped her. The fire type recoiled in shock at first, before it was quickly replaced with anger;

"You little bitch!" She yelled, releasing a powerful flame thrower at the Espeon. Ruby felt her trademark smirk dance across her features as she gracefully leaped up to dodge the attack; which now barreled into it's new unintended target: a Leafeon. The grass-type screeched in pain as the fire from the attack engulfed him, badly burning him due to hos type disadvantage. The Flareon was taken aback by the turn of events, quickly making an attempt to back away from the Leafeon before he realized it was she who had attacked him. But, it was far too late for that. The Leafeon spun around, the leaf atop of his head glowing green;

"You'll pay for that, Flamecaller!" He shouted angrily, charging forward in an attempt to slash the Flareon with Leaf Blade.

'Flamecaller.' Ruby thought, as she watched the said Flareon dodge the Leafeon's attack, causing it to slash a Vaporeon who had been watching the fight. 'Must be a clan name.' She thought with a small chuckle as she darted away, leaving the three to fight it out and continue the chain of chaos.

Even though Ruby very little about almost anything, she did know a few things about clan names; they were common among clans that had been around for quite some time, basically, all 'clan names' meant was that the pokemon's ancestors came from one of the original clans of Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Normal, Fighting, Flying, Psychic, Dark, Steel, Poison, Ice, Ground, Rock, Bug, Ghost, and Dragon. Fairy was a hidden clan for an extremely long time, at least from what Ruby had heard.

The Espeon quickly snapped herself out of her thoughts, swiftly dodging a crackle of electricity that was sent her way. Ruby didn't stop to check if it was Thunder or not, instead she kept on running toward the Shiny Umbreon and Eevee that stood outside the circle of growing chaos.

"Let's bail!" She exclaimed to the two males as she rushed past them and into the forest. Ruby noticed how everything became darker as she entered the thicket of trees, their long needle-filled branches had blocked out the moonlight from before. Ruby could hear the noise of the chaos over the sound of her quick, short breaths; but it was fading away with every paw step she took. Every step she took from this point on, would add to her getting away from her hell of a life. But at the same time, it would be getting her closer to the unknown, a world that she had never known or experienced. She would know nearly nothing.

This was the best day of her entire life.
