CHAPTER 4

Camp Half-Blood

James looked at Camp Half-Blood. His home.

He went on, and encountered Annabeth and Percy.

"Hey!" I raced up to them, and saw the two new teens with them. Boy and a girl.

It didn't take long to find out the boy's name. Dan.

He talked so much I got a migraine. Personally, I should've turned back when I had the chance.

It took a bit to find out the girl's name. Amy. She was Dan's brother. I felt a bit sorry for her.

With that, I realized that my old sword, Void, had been destroyed in a battle.

One of my Hephaestus friends might be able to help. I thought.

There were many cabins. I made my way to Cabin 9, home of the Hephaestus children.

I saw a lot of sparks, and my friend, Leo Valdez. He had his burning hand to some metal, wielding better some others.

I used to be Leo's best friend. He and I would play a lot, but after Leo's mom died in that fire, two things happened.

1. I found out Leo's fire skills.

2. Leo shut himself from me for a bit.

I had only seen my friend again once I got to Camp.

"James!" he called out. I rushed to him, as he put out his fire hand and gave me a hug.

I explained the problem, and Leo quickly had a solution.

He had been making a sword, based off of Percy's sword, Riptide, and Kronos' scythe. It looked a lot like Riptide, but was a mix of celestial bronze and steel.

Obtaining it made me feel like my old sword was a twig. Then again, Leo didn't make Void, and Leo was pretty good with weapon making, having fire at hand.

I slashed it, and thinking of Leo's fire skills made it erupt into flames. Leo looked impressed, but I dropped the sword.

Leo laughed. "Don't worry!" The fire was out now.

"I made it powerful. If you think of a certain gods skills, I made it the sword could mimic most..."

I picked up the blade. I looked at it.

"Diástasi̱ Mágos? No... Dimentio... Easier to say, that's for sure..."

Dan looked around. "Where are we?"

I lead Dan up to the top, so she could talk to Chiron.

Dan. Dan Cahill... descendant of Gideon Cahill...
