Prompt: Caskett fight

"Castle, no!" Kate yelled to try to finally get her point across and get her husband to quit arguing with her. It had already been a long enough day with two new homicides coming through the precinct, they were just getting home at 10:30 that night after having to be at a crime scene at 6:30 that morning and Kate Castle was not in the mood to fight over whether or not they should go to her family's stupid reunion that was coming up.

Rick sighed before answering, "Kate, I just don't understand why you won't even consider it? I can't imagine it would be that bad, plus I haven't even met half of your family yet!"

"Because 1. I don't even know if I'll be able to get the time off and there's no point in getting everybody's hopes up that I'll be there if I can't and 2. It would be different if it wasn't the whole family. That is a lot of people who get to yell at me for not being invited to the second wedding and I just can't take having to be reminded of the wedding that they were at, but you weren't."

"I understand that, Kate. But wouldn't you rather just get it over with?"

"No, not really. That doesn't sound very appealing to me."

"Well you fighting so hard with me on this doesn't sound very appealing to me, but we're still doing it aren't we?" Castle was rather proud of this comeback given how little time he had to think about it.

"Oh yeah? How appealing does the couch look to you right now?"

Castle was very confused at the direction this conversation had just taken, "Uhm I mean it's a nice couch. It was pretty expensive so it's comfortable and I think it fits in nice with the room. Why?"

"I'm glad you find it comfortable, Castle, because if you continue with what you're doing, that is where you'll be sleeping tonight," Kate finished before walking into the bathroom, stripping down and stepping into the shower.

She was letting the hot water pelt her in her back trying to get all of her frustrations from the day out when she felt a cool rush of air enter the shower, she slowly opened her eyes and turned her head to see her husband standing just inside the shower looking like he was a little confused as to what to do next.

"Get over here, goofball," Kate pulled him out of his confused like state.

He stepped to her and instantly wrapped his arms around her, "I'm sorry for pushing the subject," he said.

"It's okay. I'm sorry for taking my frustration out on you."

"Does this mean I'm still sleeping on the couch?"

"I think you still have to make it up to me."

"Make up sex?" Castle asked excitedly.

"Make up sex." Kate replied before grabbing his head and thoroughly kissing him.
