I Won't Be The One
She's a Black, but she's not black inside, where it counts. She's lighter than light. Her aquamarine eyes sparkle with happiness when she laughs, the tension leaves her shoulders when she smiles. She brings joy to everyone around her without even trying.
She's my angel. She could have been my saviour. If I'd let her. If I'd tried hard enough.
Now there's nothing that can save me, but I can save her.
She told me she loves me.
I said it back. I meant it.
I do love her. And that's why I must let her go.
I won't be the one to take her sparkle, her light away.
I won't be the one to make her black.
