Heeeeey, guys...so yeah. It's been awhile. I could list allthe reasons why you haven't seen me in forever, but that would take longer than is reasonable for an author's note. I am sorry for disappearing and I will tell you why if you want, but it's a lot. Anyway, on to the story.

John sat in the chair beside Mrs. Hudson and relaxed. The sound of her prattling on was a strangely comforting one. Most people would get annoyed after awhile, but then again, he wasn't most people. He sighed. "John Watson what are you sighing about?"

John jolted out of his musings. "Sorry, Mrs. Hudson. It's nothing."

She gave him A Look. "Honestly, John, I've had more than my fair share of time spent with troubled lads. There is most definitely something bothering you. Now tell me what it is, or at least tell Sherlock."

"I can't tell Sherlock, Mrs. Hudson, it's him I'm worried about." John clamped his mouth shut. He hadn't meant for that to come out at all. Mycroft had ears everywhere.

"And why has Sherlock got you worried?"

John ran a hand over his face. Best to get it out in one go. "Sherlock is blaming himself for my getting hurt because we made a deal that if he didn't get high I wouldn't die overseas. Only someone drugged Sherlock - which is different, it doesn't count- only he feels that it does. He doesn't know that there was a traitor in my unit - total creeper - who sold us out and betrayed our position. And some idiot messed up and told Sherlock that I was dead even though I wasn't and he had to deal with that, which is not ok, and then to top it all of Mycroft, Sherlock's brother (the scary one), was the one who decided not to pay the ransom for my unit. And I can't very well tell Sherlock any of this because then he'd kill his brother and his mother would probably kill him! So I have no idea what to do to make him stop blaming himself because simply telling him 'it's not your fault' is about as effective as bringing a knife to a gun fight!"

Mrs. Hudson blinked. "Is that all?"

John stared at her. "Have you not-"

"Breathe, dearie, it'll be alright. Here's what you do."

And that's where I'll be stopping for now. Hopefully I won't be too long in updating another chapter. Also, whoever's threatening people to try and make me write, please don't. If you threaten, I have to listen to their complaints and then it takes me longer to update, kay? R&R please. (Even if it is a bit of a crappy chapter).
