Chapter 4

Kagome POV Year 1503

'What are we going to do about this?' I ask Sesshomaru.

'I will conduct a ritual to adopt you officially, then you and Kiruna will live with me in the castle' Sesshomaru says.

'What sort of ritual?'

'We will drink each other's blood and then I will mark you with my poison, only it will be diluted'

'Why don't we just do it now' Kiruna pipes up.

'It will likely cause you both pain'

'How come?' Kiruna asks.

'Well it will likely make you both appear younger and me slightly older, it will also add some of the family's appearance attributes to Kagome and make them stand out more in you, my little one'

'Okay' Kiruna says in a sweet voice.

'Sesshomaru is there a room we can stay in for a bit, to have a nap before somewhere is prepared for the ritual'

'Yes, there is a room which is connected to this Sesshomaru's room which was intended to be the room which would house any pups this Sesshomaru had until they had mated' he says, 'this Sesshomaru will take you there'

He gets up and walks over to a small door, through the small door is what looks to be a secret passage designed so that the lord of the castle can get about without being disturbed. The passage is rather short and only takes a cople of minutes to get to the end of it. At the end of it there is another small door leading into a large hall in the hall are two doors, not counting the one they came through, one is very large and beautifully decorated while the other is rather small and simple in comparison. Sesshomaru leads us to the smaller door and opens it up to reveal a prettily decorated room.

The room while not the largest but it is very friendly looking because it has silks of warm colours hanging throughout the room. Along one of the walls is a raised futon with red, orange and dark green silks on it.

'This will be your room. I would get some rest the ritual will take up quite a bit of energy' Sesshomaru says this as a demand not a suggestion, 'I will come through to collect you when it is time for the ritual'

'Okay papa' Kiruna says, while beaming.

'How long do you think it will take to prepare the ritual, Sesshomaru?'

'It will be prepared by tonight, go to sleep now' he says before leaving the room.

I walk over to the futon still holding Kiruna in my arms, I set her down on the futon before laying down myself. I climb under the silks and settle down when I feel Kiruna cuddle into my chest her head near my neck. I let out a long breath as I feel myself drifting off to sleep.
