A/N: Since I got lazy and didn't want to try to update the ACTUAL story, I'm going to write some interviews whenever I don't have any ideas. Hopefully, this will help me to keep the creative juices going and keep me on my toes. Enjoy!
A Chat with the Peabodys
Me: Welcome everyone, to the very first behind the scenes moment of "Bears in New York"! Tonight, I am happy to introduce a couple of our main characters. We have the dynamic duo from their hit movie "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" and "The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show" here to tell us about this new project that we've been working on. Please welcome the technological genius who swept this world by storm, Mr. Hector Peabody!
Applause starts as Mr. Peabody walks onto the stage towards me. Standing up, I bent over to shake his paw.
Mr. Peabody: Hello, Ms. Inami! Thank you for having me tonight!
Me: It's an honor to have you, Mr. Peabody!
As we both took our seats and the audience's clapping decreases in volume, I went on to announce the other half of the duo.
Me: And now, please welcome his loyal companion, the son of the most famous time traveler and the president of his robotics club, Sherman Peabody!
The applause starts back up again as Sherman walks out on stage. Waving to the audience rapidly, Sherman walked quickly to the end of the stage. Unlike his father, Sherman ran up and gave me a big hug, which willingly returned.
Sherman: Hi Ms. Inami! Thanks for the invite!
Me: No problem, Sherman! I really wanted to talk to you guys again after what we did for the first three chapters.
Sitting back down in my seat and Sherman taking the seat by his father, I went on with the program.
Me: Unfortunately, the bears were unable to make it tonight, but next time, I plan on doing an interview with them, and then individual ones for the cast. Let's begin with a few questions I had for the two of you. Does that sound okay?
Mr. Peabody: Sounds like a good plan to me.
Sherman: I'm ready! Let's start!
Me: Okay. First question; what do you think of the first few chapters of this series? Let's hear your thoughts first, Peabody.
Mr. Peabody: Well, first let me say one thing; it is most certainly an interesting concept. Sure, many writers on the platform you use do crossovers, that goes without saying. However, yours is the first in this section to take the characters of "We Bare Bears" and throw them into the universe of "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" and I applaud you for just diving right on in.
Applause rings through the auditorium, causing me to start to blush.
Me: Oh, thank you! Surprisingly, I have only heard good things about the series so far- don't get me wrong, that's nice and all- but I kinda would have expected on person to point out the flaws of the series by now. My series isn't exactly the most logical.
Mr. Peabody: No one said anything about your story needing to be logical. Did any of your reviewers say the story needed more "logic" and facts"? Or did they just ask for more?
Me: They asked for more, but-
Mr. Peabody: And do you enjoy the series as it is right now?
Me: Yes, yes I do.
Mr. Peabody: Then you should be fine. Sorry, it seems like I have taken over the interview!
Me: No, you're fine. Anyway, back to your thoughts?
Mr. Peabody: Sure. Back to what I was saying before, the project was in a league of its own, no competition, but also not as many viewers unless they had seen any of your other works. Since we had worked with you beforehand, Sherman and I were happy to help you in this project of yours. When I first heard the idea for the series, I was confused on how you were going to find talking bears in New York. After a few months of collaboration, we finally found the three odd bears in San Francisco doing their own show called "We Bare Bears". After we started working together, the chapters started coming and we got a lovely response!
Me: I think you kind of missed my question. What do you PERSONALLY think about the series so far?
Mr. Peabody: I was coming back to that, Ms. Inami. It's been fun working with everyone here and I hope to... stop being so judgmental in the story.
Me: It's gonna last for a while until-
Sherman: SPOILERS!
Me: Oh! Sorry about that. I keep forgetting that we want to keep everything on a need-to-know basis.
Mr. Peabody: I understand that this isn't exactly me, but I feel like you could have written me a little nicer.
Me: We can talk about the script after the interview.
Mr. Peabody: Fair enough. I do like how I retain my knowledge of sword wielding in the second chapter.
Me: It won't be the last time you use it, let me tell you. Is that all?
Mr. Peabody: Just remember to proofread your work so that I won't have to read and correct it for you.
The audience erupted in laughter as I once again blushed at the comment.
Me: I...I'll work on it. Sherman, what are your thoughts?
Sherman: It's awesome!
Silence...
Me: That...that's it?
Sherman: Well, I love working with everyone. Everybody's really nice and help me with my lines. Griz even taught me a new way of remembering my lines! I just make up a song about my lines and it actually works!
Me: That's great, Sherman! I love working with you too! You always remind me to laugh and have fun when I'm working. Anything else you want to add?
Sherman: Nope!
Me: Okay, so-
At that moment, I got a signal from off-stage telling me that I needed to hurry things along.
Me: I just got a message saying we need to speed things up. Second question; do you have any suggestions for the series?
Sherman: More explosions!
Mr. Peabody: There were never explosions, Sherman.
Me: And now, there never will. Thanks for bringing it up, Sherman.
Sherman: Aw man. Well, can Penny-
Me: No Penny.
Sherman: What?
Me: I'm not writing Penny in this as a major role.
Sherman: Why?!
Me: I don't need your girlfriend causing any trouble.
Sherman: She's not my girlfriend!
Me: That's not what your dad said.
Sherman: What?
Me: Any ideas, Peabody?
Mr. Peabody: Well, I wouldn't mind doing more cooking and fatherly things.
Me: I can certainly work that into the story. And Sherman?
Sherman: Yeah?
Me: I...might reconsider my decision after looking into the next few chapters. But you have to make sure she behaves herself. I don't need a spoiled brat hogging all of your spotlight!
Sherman: Yay!
Mr. Peabody: What do you say, Sherman?
Sherman: Thank you, Ms. Inami!
Me: No problem!
Music filled the auditorium, signalling the end of the program.
Me: Oh, look at the time! That's all the time we have for tonight. So rest up you two, for tomorrow, we start shooting again!
Mr. Peabody: Can't wait to get back to work.
Sherman: See ya tomorrow!
Me: Have a lovely night, everyone! And remember to always be creative! We'll be back next time with the other cast members.
A/N: The first time I typed this, I lost a large chunk of this story because I forgot to save. Hopefully this is just as good as it would have been with the original!
