"Hey, what's got your wand in a knot?" Pansy asked as I slumped down into the seat, with a great scowl on my face.

"Gryfindor's. Why are they so... erg!" I said, flinging my arms up, exasperated.

"I know." She said, rolling her eyes. "Guess what?" I raised my eyebrows to show I had no intention of guessing. "I heard that we get to keep our room from last year." She said with a huge smile. I had to admit, it did make me feel slightly better. "Well, we would have gotten our own room anyway, because of how many people aren't coming back-"

"What? Why?" I knew my eyes were popping. Eventhough, I had only been going to Hogwarts for the sixth year, I had gotten the impression that the students enjoyed it - even if it was school.

"The mudbloods cannot come back because of the new laws. Most of the half-bloods are scared that they will be next - with good reason in my oppinion. The rest don't like the idea of Death Eaters running the school." I was so shocked, it was amazing that my eyes remained in my skull. "Draco is looking at you." I realised that Pansy was looking over my shoulder, presumably at the person she had afore mentioned.

I twisted slightly in my seat and saw Draco glance away, but he had been unmistakably watching me. I contemplated as to if I should go and make peace with him, but thought again. He had tried to make me jealous by using a blonde bimbo at an important party. No! He should appologise to me. I also remembered that this is also not the first time he had done it either.

"Let him stare at what he can't have." I said, just loud enough to ensure that he heard. It was asthough I heard him rolling his eyes. I laughed and Pansy joined in unsteadily.

Getting off the train was a complete nightmare. Children running around unsure of what to do. Where was the oaf? Shouldn't he be taking care of the first years? I finnally managed to get through the crowd with Pansy, and then I saw it. A great line, leading down to the castle.

All of the students must have been queuing up. For what? "Pans, I am not waiting in this queue. I grabbed her arm and we marched up to the front of the line. Just in front of the double doors to the castle was a Death Eater - oh, what was his name?

"Blood status." He said to us without looking up.

"Half-blood." I simply replied. After what Pansy had said on the train I knew that it was not a blood status said lightly.

He looked up and I watched his look of disgust turned to that of a grimace. He stood and bowed, taking my hand and shaking it in the process. "I am sorry, Miss Riddle. I had no idea it was you." I was irritated by his reaction but decided to put up a cold front.

"Well, now you do." I said. "Myself and Miss Parkinson are going in now. I watched his face and realised what he was about to say. "Pure-blood. She is a pure-blood." I smiled, and left the dumbstruck man behind.

When we were out of earshot Pansy spoke up, "You didn't have to be mean to him. He was only doing his job." I sighed, realising she was right.

"I know, but I can't exactly go back and appologise." I looked up, and saw we had arrived in what used to be the Great Hall. It was not currently sporting any house colours, like it had been the first time I walked in a year ago. I saw there were very few people in the room as, I assume, they were all in the huge line outside.

"Ah, Emilly." I turned and found Snape, looking as bat-like as ever. He was being just as condesending as ever, as he leered over me. "I see that for once you are not late. Giving up your laziness for good?"

"Not quiet." I said, imitating the way he sneered. "That fact that I am here early is due to my laziness." I watched as he raised an eyebrow, as if asking me to elabourate. "You see, I was too lazy to wait in that stupid queue, and simply walked to the front." I smiled and turned. I would have walked to my house table, but due to the fact that it did not have the house embelum above it I couldn't tell which it was. I looked to Pansy and she looked just as flumuxed as me.

I heard Snape chuckle behind me. Obviously his new position has made him cockier than before - if that was even possible. "It is that one, Miss Riddle." He pointed at the far table and I began walking towards it with Pansy in tow.

We sat down and it wasn't long until Draco and Blaise walked in. I watched as Blaise made an attempt to walk over to us, but was stopped by Draco, and the two ended up sitting at the other end of the table. I watched Pansy's shoulders fall. I couldn't let my friend's relationship suffer because mine was. "Go and sit with them, Pans."

"No, I'm not going to leave you on your own." She said, but I knew she really wanted to sit with her boyfriend.

"Now, any other time I would say 'sisters before misters', but I think you should be allowed to sit with your man. Just this once." I said with a wink, to which she laughed. I was given a hug before she bounced off. Why did I do that? Now I have no one to sit with. It also doesn't help that I have no friends.

"Aww, the big, bad Slytherin Princess lost all her posse?" I heard from behind me. I stood and turned slowly. I was not in any mood to deal with Griffindors again today.

"Still getting your robes at charity shops, Weasley." I said, to the ginger girl that had spoken. I watched her face go bright red. "Don't worry, I'm sure one day you will be able to marry a rich old guy. God knows you put it out enough." I said. I knew she was embarased and I was out of line, but she started it! I could see the people that had gathered were clearly thinking I was right. I watched the Irish guy look as though he might say something. "Are you going to air that thought, Finnigan? Or just let it take up space in your skull?" I asked.

"Why are you such a bitch?" I heard little red say in front of me.

"I'm not." I said, and was shocked when I heard a laugh come from my former boyfriend. "Excuse me?" Was all I could muster. I watched as Draco looked at me, with a smile.

"No, please, carry on. This exchange is so amusing." His eyes glinting with humor.

"The Slytherin Prince and Princess have fell out. How tragic." I turned back to Weasley. She was really begining to tick me off. I stepped up to her and let her feel a fraction of my power. It wouldn't hurt her much, it would just be like a pounding head ache.

"This is my school. Be careful what you say to me." I said, my voice barely above a whisper. He eyes widened slightly, before narrowing as she glared up at me. She reluctantly walked away. I turned and saw the first years looking terrifyed. My eyes are red! Bloody brilliant(!)

The sorting ceremony was shorter than last year, not that I was complaining. I was starving! Luckily, despite nearly everything else having changed the food was just as delious as it was last year.

I was just about to dig in to my jelly and ice cream when someone sat down in front of me. I looked to see a very attractive male. "Hi." I said, with a smile. I hope it was me he wanted to speak to. He was looking at me so I assume so.

"Hello, I'm Daniel." He said holding out a hand, which I took.

"Erm, hey, Daniel. Do I know you?" It was a stupid question, as there was no way I would have forgotten a guy this good looking, but it was out of my mouth before I could stop it.

He laughed. It sounded so right coming from him. "You mean that you were at most quiddich games last year and you don't remember their best goal-scorer?"

"Vaisey?" I remembered being told about how good he was but I never watched him explicitly.

"Yeah. It's understandable that you don't remember me, I guess. You were kind of infatuated with our star seeker." My heart deflated as I was reminded of my lost love. Woah! I sound like a soap opera. I thought to myself.

"Yeah, well, I'm over with that." I said loudly so Draco could hear. I heard a piece of cutlery fall to the table and I knew he heard. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Daniel smiled at me, and I smiled back, a genuine smile. He's such a nice guy.

"So, what do you think of Snape being head master? Great, huh?" He said, again at which I smiled.

I was about to respond with a sly remark about Snape when the man himself decided to talk. "Students. We have many changes in staff this year, as well as in rules." As soon as he said 'rules' I had zoned out. It was only when people began moving around me did I zone back in.

I looked and saw Daniel still hadn't abandonded me. I made a new freind! Yeah! GO ME! I thought, while doing my mental happy dance. "Come one, I'll walk you to the common room."

"Ok, but I'm not holding your hand. That is too improper for a first date." At that we both began lauging.

"Before everyone leaves..." I heard Snape call as we were just about to leave. "I require all half-bloods to remain behind." I looked to Daniel about to say good bye, but he wasn't leaving. He was walking into the middle of the room where the other half bloods were being ushered.

This wasn't going to be good. The half-bloods thought they were going to be next after the mudbloods, and I could see they were right. They were being hearded into the middle of the room like cattle. I was not going to let my new friend be pienalised for his blood status that we both shared.

Despite what I said to him before, I walked next to him and grabbed his hand. He looked at me, and I could see the fear that he was trying to mask in his eyes. I tugged on his arm and pulled him towards the door. Before we reached it though, a cackling voice stopped us in our tracks. "No, leaving." I turned to face, one of the most annoying death eaters ever to grace the face of the earth - well aside from her brother. Alecto Carrow, stood there in almost as much batty glory as Snape himself.

I pushed Daniel behind me slightly before adressing the shorter of the Carrow sibblings. "We are leaving. We will not be subjected to this discrimination." I said and was amazed that Carrow was able to reply to the large words I used.

"You, Miss Riddle, are not forced to stay. Mr Vaisey on the other hand, is a different matter." She said. She made my blood boil. I was not prepared to lose a new friend all because my father thought cross breeding was wrong. The stupid hippocrite!

"We are both leaving and that is final, Alecto." I said, my voice slightly louder than before. She looked momentarily shocked, as did the rest of the room, but soon regained composure.

"That is 'Proffessor' to you." I let go of my aquaintances hand and stalked up to the woman. My eyes were undoubtedly changing to the blood red colour they often did when I was angry.

"Well, proffessor. Myself and my friend are leaving, and I sincerely think you should let us do so. For your sake, not mine. She was scared, I could see it, but she still seemed to be about to deny me. "I'd think your next words very carefully, proffessor." I smilled to add malice to my already, sure to be, terrifying appearance.

"Enough." I looked and saw Snape walking forwards. "Miss Riddle and Mr Vaisey are permitted to leave." I looked back at Alecto to give her a 'haha' stare and skipped off to where my friend was still standing.

I was sure my eyes had returned back to normal as he didn't seem frightened by my appearance. Again I grabbed his had and propelled him from the room, towards our common room.

We arrived to see that most people had gone to their dorms, and the ones that were left were seventh years. Unfortunately for me that included Draco, who was once again surrounded by females. I rolled my eyes. I refused to show him that I was jealous - again! This time I will make him jealous. I swear he will be begging for me back by Christmas.

So, dudes, what ya think? Don't have time to edit, sorry. Also, sorry I've not posted and the only reason I did was because I re-read all of my stories on this account and felt it was unfair to leave you all. So here you go.

Please send me feed back! R&R! I love it all! :* xxx
