Hello! I'm so sorry about taking forever to update my stories! I've just been really busy lately, and life has just started to slow down enough for me to type this up. I hope you all enjoy!

Katniss POV

Peeta and I get on the train to go to the Capital, and we get there the next day. The train we were on is similar to the on we used for the Hunger Games, and it felt kind of weird. My brain was in some kind of shock, I guess, because that night I had some really bad nightmares. Peeta eventually woke me up, and we took a long walk around the train.

After about an hour or so of walking the train, Peeta asked me if I was ready to go back to bed. I told him yes, but I really wanted to say no, I'm not. It was a lie, because I knew I wouldn't go back to sleep. I was to much awake by then.

After the horrible night on the train, Peeta and I get off and walk towards our hotel, which is conveniently in front of the station. We check in, and we go to get settled in our room.

"Are you ready for this, Katniss?" Peeta asks me, and we both sit down on the bed.

"Absolutely. I'm more ready for this than I have been for anything else."

"Well good." Peeta says, and places a kiss on my head. After we get settled, we decide to walk around the Capital, until it starts to get late and we went back to the hotel. we haven't had dinner yet, so Peeta orders room service for us, and it's up in the room a few minutes later. Peeta puts one of the covered plates in front of me. I open it, and inside there is a big and juicy hamburger with fries on the side. I pick up the burger and take a few bites, but after those few bites I start feeling sick.

"Oh gosh." I get up and sprint to the bathroom, and barely make it to the toilet. Peeta comes in, and rubs my back until I'm done. I sit back against the wall and sigh. "Well, this is going to make being pregnant just a little bit less enjoyable."

"It won't last forever, Katniss. It'll be over soon."

"I hope so. I hate getting sick like that."

"I know, I know..." Peeta murmurs and squeezes my shoulder. He gets up, and then offers me his hand and I accept it. He pulls me up and we walk back to the bedroom holding hands. I slide under the covers, and close my eyes. I'm asleep in just a few minutes.

Before I know it, Peeta's shaking me awake, telling me I have to get ready to go. I groan and roll over. Capital beds are so much more comfortable than the beds I'm used to back home.

Well apparently Peeta started getting impatient. He ripped the covers off of me, exposing me to the cold air in the room. I just curled myself into a ball, hoping my body heat would help keep me warm. Since pulling the blankets off didn't work, Peeta gets on the bed and whispers into my ear.

"If you don't get up, I'm going to have to pour cold water on you."

My eyes pop open, and I glare at him. He starts to chuckle, and I get up and go take a shower.

At ten o'clock, we're at the doctor's office sitting in the waiting room. I'm staring off into space, and Peeta's twiddling his thumbs. The door opens, and the receptionist pokes her head out. "Mrs. Mellark? Dr. Beckley is ready to see you now."

I take a breath, and Peeta and I follow the nurse waiting beside the door into a room, and she asks me a few questions and writes on her clipboard. Soon after she leaves, Dr. Beckley comes in.

"Hello Katniss, I'm Dr. Beckley. How are you doing this morning?"

"I'm fine."

"Good, good. Now we're going to run an ultrasound to check up on your baby, okay?"

I barely manage to croak out an, "Okay." I was finally going to see my baby. After Dr. Beckley gets all the preparations finished, a few seconds later we're looking at future baby Mellark number one.

All I can do is stare. I can't believe I have another person growing inside of me. It's incredible.

"Well , it looks like you're almost three months along. I'm guessing the baby will be born around November eleventh. Now do you have any questions concerning your pregnancy?"

"Yes. How long does the morning sickness last?" I ask and rub my stomach.

"Only a few months. It should be over soon."

Peeta nods appreciatively. "Thank you, Doctor Beckley. My wife and I appreciate all of this very much."

"You are both quite welcome. We will need to schedule another appointment. Will July eleventh work?"

I think about the date for a few seconds and nod. "Yeah, that should work."

"Okay, great. Now would you like some medicine to help control the morning sickness?"

"Oh my goodness yes. Yes please."

Dr. Beckley smiles. "I thought you might say that. A lot of first time mothers want this. I'll just write up a prescription for you, then you can pick it up in the pharmacy down stairs on your way out."

"Thank you so much, Dr. Beckley." I say.

"My pleasure, Katniss. Have a good day."

"You too." We leave the room and go downstairs and pick up my medicine, then we go to the train station to finally go home.
