Ha-ha! This is a longer chapter :D
Hopefully it makes up for the shorter one before this...
A bit disappointed with how my poll went though :(
I only had very few votes votes, I have a tie as well for the top character, they both have 3 votes, so hopefully it will change soon.
I will leave it up for a few more chapters, but if its not changing then I guess I'll have to roll a dice and choose one between the top 2 or write a special scene for both each romantic encounter.
Hope you guys enjoy this chapter!
Ch 3: Bickering Guardians
With tears running down her face, the brunette had to come up with an idea and fast. Tsunako knows that she will have difficulties in lying. The hyper intuition of the Vongola head, was anything short of a joke. He would see through her before she even finished a sentence.
Then suddenly, an idea popped up into her mind. Tsunako remembered what Reborn had taught her and quickly put the plan into action, pinpointing the critical nerves in her head and adjusting her body. She drops her head backwards and hit the head board of the bed frame. With this her nerves would shut down until further notice and she would be mute for the remainder of the time; unable to utter a word, much less a sentence.
The guardians just stood and stared, a look of shock shown on their faces. Waiting for the brunette to make any suspicious movements, it was highly unexpected for her to burst into tears. Before anyone could make a sound, she backed herself up against the headboard of the bed too quickly; injuring herself in the process.
With her head bowed low and tears freeing freely, Giotto was at a loss at what to do. He had never had a woman in his personal bedroom before, much less have one back right up and hurt herself against his bed frame.
Clearing his throat, he tried to gain her attention. The sound however, made her flinch. Giotto was unsure of how to proceed with the situation. Before he could think of how to question Tsuna, his right hand man, G, spoke up.
"Who are you? You dare come into our boss's room to seduce him, you slut!" yelled the storm guardian, irritated. The brunette flinched once again, she looked up with teary eyes, and attempted to move further away from the enraged guardian.
"Answer me!" he yelled at her once more. With absolute precision, Tsunako skilfully moved in a way she avoided Asari's weapon and landed in a heap on the floor. Praying to dear god that it looked like an accident, she curled herself up into a ball, pretended she was greatly hurt by the movement.
The rain guardian quickly sheathed his sword, breathing a sigh of relief that he did not cut the young lady. With all eyes on him, he bent down slowly to the small figure on the floor.
The silence was deafening, Tsunako wanted it to end. Feeling a warm and surprisingly gentle hand on her shoulder, she let out a distressed whimper before unfolding herself. Sitting up, she decided she should have stayed on the bed, the 1st generation looked more intimidating from a lower angle.
"F*ck, what is wrong with you!" roared the storm guardian, finally losing his temper.
"Maa maa calm down, you were the one who scared her and that's why this happened." Stated rain guardian, still kneeling next to Tsunako. Holding his hand out, he hoped she would take his offer on helping her up. After all, she has injured herself enough tonight, 'God have mercy on this poor lady' he thought.
As Tsunako slowly reached towards the offered appendage, G screamed in outrage. "How dare you accuse me of scaring her. She is an intruder!"
"Maa maa calm down G, I didn't accuse you."
"You just did!" he pressed on, relentlessly.
The sun guardian stepped in and defended the rain, "He extremely did not accuse you. Now, there is someone hurt and we should tend to her injuries first instead of bickering like children to the extreme." he yelled at the top of his lungs.
"What did you-"
"Quiet!" roared Primo. G stopped immediately, uncaring that he has left his sentence unfinished.
The whole room went deadly silent. He walked across the room and glared at his guardians one by one, as he walked passed. When he reached other side of the bed, he looked down at the crying brunette sitting bent awkwardly away from his person. Reaching out wanting to check if she was alright, she flinched and withdrew herself away from him. Her eyes never leaving him as tears continued a steady stream down her face.
'She seems absolutely terrified.' Thought Giotto and he tried to touch her once more, causing her to withdraw until she was up against the wall with the bed frame pressed up against her side.
Tsunako's head hurt, it felt like she was repeatedly being stabbed by a dagger where she was wounded. 'Hopefully, they buy my acting. They seem like honourable men, as long as I can't speak and as long as I act like I'm afraid, they will not harm me.' She thought, nervous at the prospective of being caught.
"It's ok," Giotto cooed softly, not intending to scare the frightened girl anymore, "I won't hurt you."
Tsunako gave it a bit of thought, hesitating for the briefest of seconds before nodding slowly in agreement. She saw Primo trying to reach out and touch her head again; this time she let him. Closing her eyes in pain as his hand accidently brushed against the sore spot on the back of her head.
"You took quite a hit there, does your head hurt?" he asked, smiling reassuringly at her. She nodded, knowing she could not and would not be able to speak for roughly about a week.
"What is your name? Where are you from? How did you get here?" asked Primo, bombarding her with questions. Tsunako just stared at him.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, there was another hand on her head; turning quickly she found herself face to face with the sun guardian, Knuckle.
"Do you mind if I check on her, Giotto. That was a pretty bad hit to the head." Knuckle asked. Nodding, Giotto gave his full attention to the brunette once more.
They sat there staring at one another, whilst Knuckle examined the injury. "You aren't going to answer my questions are you?" Asked the mafia don. His question only met with silence.
G snapped, patience lost "How dare you? Do not ignore our boss." Menacingly taking a step towards Tsunako.
Seeing this Giotto immediately shot a glare at his long-time friend, a silent command to quieten down. Turning back to the brunette, he was startled by what he saw.
She had decided that they have taken too long and took matters into her own hands. The first generation having yet to figure out that she could not speak, Tsunako was determined to speed up the process by giving them a rather obvious hint. Opening her mouth, she spoke. Not one sound left her mouth, internally grinning, she thought to herself 'My plan worked!'
The sun guardian's reaction was immediate, "Open your mouth to the extreme. Face me!" Tsunako, obediently obeyed. Keeping her mouth wide open, she tried to form words and speak to him. Knuckle just furrowed his brows and looked into her mouth some more.
"I am sorry, she is mute to the extreme." He stated to the audience, a grim expression marring his handsome face.
Alaude, forever the daring one, promptly picked Tsunako up. Hooking his hands under her underarms, he set her down with surprising gentleness on the bed. Presenting her with a fountain pen and some paper, the cloud guardian, begun questioning her.
In the next few minutes Tsunako had tried to answer all the questions thrown at her, without revealing too much information regarding where she is from.
Satisfied, Alaude reached for the paper. However, before he was able to grab it, Daemon had snatched it right out of Tsunako's hand.
"My name is Tsunako, I am nineteen years old. I was born and raised in Japan. I travelled to Italy for a change of scenery. I am unsure how I ended up here, it was not on purpose that I ended up in the same bed as your friend. I apologise for my mistake."
Everyone listened carefully as Daemon read the contents of the paper aloud. As soon as he finished, he dodge a pair of hand cuffs from the forever stoic cloud guardian.
"Nufufufu, have I upset you my dear Alaude? I assure you it was not on purpose." Stated the mist guardian, grinning manically.
Before a fight broke out, Giotto stepped in between the two; ordering the lightning guardian, Lampo, to grab him a shirt from his closet. He did not wish to parade around a lady indecently.
"We need to work together to find out where she is from and how she got here, not fight amongst ourselves." He stated, his lips pressed in a stern line. "You are all dismissed; I will deal with this alone."
Reluctantly leaving their boss alone, the first generation guardians left; knowing from the glint in their don's eyes that there will be consequences if the order was disobeyed.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw that Tsunako was no longer with him. In the absence of his guardians and his attention, she had fallen asleep. Suddenly exhausted from all the commotion, he trudged towards the couch on the other side of the bedroom.
Watching her from across the room, Giotto observed the brunette for a few passing minutes. Assured that she was in deep slumber, he turned his back to her and lied flat on the couch; hoping to catch a bit of rest before he had to start the day.
Well this is the end of chapter three!
It was quite a boring chappy. I was unsure how to build on the story, so hopefully it makes sense and I didn't bore anyone to sleep.
Thank you for reading! Please provide any constructive criticism/reviews/comments/etc. if any! Your opinion matters to me, I would like to try and make the story as interesting as possible.
