Chapter: 4

Laly's P.O.V.

The next morning, the Erudite guards opened up my cell doors earlier than they should have.
"Did I do something wrong?" I ask, as the guards drag me out of my cell.
They don't answer me, and I know that I'm going to die. I should've never been out after curfew. I just had to follow the Rebels and now I'm facing the consequences.
The erudite guards throw me into a dark control room. I fall onto the floor, and then I get up slowly, while looking at the dark surroundings. I looked like I was in an empty black box, with a camera up in the corner of the room.
"Hello," I say to the camera. "I'm sorry about-"
"Initiation will begin momentarily," A voice booms throughout the room.
Then slowly the room starts to appear and I'm standing on a battlefield with Shade, Topher, Venus, and Bruce, with a bunch of other people from the Rebel group.
This looked so real, but then I hear a man's voice echoing through the battlefield and I knew that this was not real.
"A group by the name of the Rebels is forming," The man says.
"Laly let's go," Shade grabs my hand, and we start running away from a big black box floating in the middle of the sky. We run down a steep hill as the box chases after us.
"Their plan is to overthrow the Erudites," The voice booms. "They will do what they can to destroy us, and proclaim equality all over the nations."
Shade drags me behind him, and he starts shooting at Erudites so they fall at our feet.
"NO!" I scream.
"You must remain loyal to the Erudites, Laly." The voice says. "Help us regain the power that is starting to submerge to the will of the other factions."
The black box starts shooting lasers from its sides, and I see it shoot Venus in the back of her head, and she collapses to the floor. Then it shoots Bruce and Topher, and I watch as they collapse to the floor right by my side.
A bunch of other Rebels are shot until it is only Shade and I left.
Then Shade gets shot in his back and he fall to the floor, dead.
"NO!" I scream, then I open my eyes and I'm back in the black room, only this time, fluorescent lights light up the room and some guards walk inside followed by the Erudite instructor.
Xennah smiles at me, and she leans down. "Where did you get that bracelet?"
She grabs my wrist, and inspects the bracelet with all the factions on it.
"I made it," I lie.
