Hello everyone! Prepare yourselves for bad news. LMBD will be going on an indefinite hiatus. My co-writer and I do not write together anymore since she is getting married and moving away and I am... still being me. Also I have not kept up with my fandom of Buffy. Whether or not I continue it really depends on if I ever get back into the series or have a passion for this story again/have time for it. Neither of these things is likely to happen. I do apologize but as a small token of my thanks for staying with this story I will give what little we had of chapter 4. Enjoy it and perhaps sometime in the far future I will pick this story back up.

Thanks for understanding!

Chapter 4

William looked down at his sleeping fledgling and sighed. He glanced back at the bound and gagged unconscious human man in the corner of the room. Confident that Angelus would sleep for a while he went out to get something for Angelus. He was sure to be hungry when he woke up. He then stood up and left the house to hunt for himself.

As William strolled along the dust-covered streets of the town, he could not help but think of how happy Angelus had made him feel by asking to sire him. Remembering his previous fledglings, he felt a twinge of guilt. All the others before Angelus were forced to go through the change, but he himself had asked William to sire him. Pride coursed through his veins as he thought about the newest addition to the vampire race.

William smiled again then smirked as he saw a human walk down an alley. He followed the human, happy to have human blood for the first time in three days.

Angelus awoke to the sound of someone gasping for air. He opened his eyes and groggily looked around his room. As they came into focus, he noticed a human who was bound and gagged in the corner of the bedroom. What the?... he thought as he climbed out of bed and walked up to the stranger. What is the meaning of this? He took the apple out of the human's mouth and tossed it to the side.

"What do you want from me?" he cried. "I'll give you whatever you want just don't kill me..." the human begged pathetically.

Angelus did not want to frighten the pathetic human any more than he all ready was, so he did his best to be polite and calm with him. "I don't want anything from you; I don't even know how you got here." Angelus knelt behind the chair and untied the ropes that bound the humans hands together and his ankles to the legs of the chair.

"You... you're letting me go?" he whispered.
William stepped into the room and rose an eyebrow at Angelus untying his meal. "Angelus, what are you doing?"

"I don't know who this person is, and as far as I can see there is no reason for him to stay," Angelus said sternly as he dropped the rope to the floor and eyed William questioningly. "Did you have anything to do with this?"

"Of course I do." he said and walked across the room to the terrified human. He grabbed the rope and tied his arms behind his back again.

Angelus took a step back when he became aware of the force that William used in trapping the human in his home. "But, for what purpose? In all the myths and legends I've read, vampires hunt - they don't have their food brought to them as though they were domesticated dogs." Angelus stormed out of the room and left the house, unable to look at his sire.

William sighed and stood up after he made sure that the human wasn't going anywhere, then ran after his fledgling. "Angelus!" he called out. "Come back here." he said. "This is a one time thing. After tonight you can hunt your own."

Angelus stopped in his tracks and sighed as he realized that not only was he hearing William speak, but he felt him probing his mind. The blood that you first drank was vampire blood - this is human blood. It is an acquired taste that you must get used to in time.
"William, I am standing what, twenty feet away from you? Why do you insist on probing my mind?"
Angelus turned as he heard his sire take a step closer. "I am just getting you used to the ways of the vampire, my angel. It is much, much different from being a human - something I don't remember being for I have been the way that I am for the last five hundred years." William put an arm around Angelus waist and pulled him closer. "Now come back inside and eat your meal." he whispered.

Angelus hesitated, but he could not say "no" to the warmth and affection in William's ocean-blue eyes. The vampires walked hand-in-hand back into the house.

He led his fledgling back into the bedroom and over to the human. "Go ahead my angel he's all for you." he said and kissed the new vampires temple.

A feeling of uncertainty sent a lump into Angelus' throat. He suddenly felt his body jerk and he cried out in pain as he felt his facial muscles and bones constrict. He howled as he felt his canines extend in length, the pressure pushing into his jaw. The change seemed to occur for an eternity, but when he felt "normal", again, he turned to William. "How long..."
William smiled with pride. "Congratulations, my angel. You just went through the shortest transition I've ever witnessed. You indeed were meant to be a vampire. Now, feed." William smirked as Angelus descended on the human. He sat down in the wooden rocker to watch. Angelus was simply the most perfect vampire he had seen, he was doing wonderfully with feeding and he had remained just as beautiful as when he was a human.

As Angelus leaned towards the human's neck, he whispered in his ear, "I'm sorry, friend," then sunk his canines into the jugular. When the first drop of blood hit his tongue, he jumped back in surprise

"No Angelus you have to drink. It's different at first but you'll get used to it after a while." William said.

With blood dripping from the corner of his mouth, Angelus looked up at William. "Feed with me, please."

With a smile William gave into his love's request and slid out of the chair and onto his knees next to the panicked human. He untied the man's hands then lifted the wrist and bit into the vein.

The human cried out in fear and pain and tried to pull away from the two men.
