Wow, I am a terrible person for not updating in forever, sorry! I'm finally on break and I actually have time to write. Anyway, the last chapter was sort of a comic relief thing, so now I'm going to get back to the main point. Kind of. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans, just my love struck OC BlueJay
Chapter 4: Goth Ball
Jay slowly traveled down the streets of Jump City, not as perky as usual. Actually, that would be a lie. She was completely depressed. Confusion and affection clouded her mind, she couldn't focus anymore. She continued walking, but suddenly stopped in front of a book store. She had no idea what possessed her to do it, but she opened the door and walked in.
She strolled past shelves and shelves of books, until one section caught her eye.
Poetry.
She absentmindedly floated over to it and began scanning for her favorite book.
'Songs of Hope' By Grace Noll Crowell
She pulled it off the shelf, dust flying from it when she did, and opened it gently.
"Crowell? Good choice."
The voice made Jay jump. When she turned around, she saw who it was; a goth boy. He was tall and gangly, his hair was black, his eyes were dark(he wore a minimal amount of eyeliner). His outfit was completely black except for the tips of the sleeves, the collar, and the ghost print on his shirt which were a purple color.
He's kind of cute.
"Um, are you okay?" the goth asked, waving his hand in front of her face.
Jay blushed. Obviously she had been staring too long.
"Uh yeah, I'm fine." she chuckled awkwardly.
"So, you like poetry?" He questioned, pointing to the book in her hand.
"What? Oh, definitely. Grace Crowell is one of my favorite poets. You?" she said, trying not to sound nervous.
"Of course, I really like John Milton." he answered.
"His early work was amazing!" Jay said a little too enthusiastically.
Goth Boy chuckled, which made Jay blush even more.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"BlueJay, but everyone calls me Jay.", she smiled, "What about you?"
"Well everyone calls me Eoghan, but my real name is Logan." he replied, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.
(Goths tend to have nicknames, Eoghan means 'young warrior')
"Well, Logan, would you like to go and get something to eat?" she requested, blushing at the realization of what she said.
"Sure! I mean, sure.", he said trying to sound cool, "but it can't be any place that sells meat, I'm a-"
"You're a vegetarian too? Awesome!" Jay added.
"Well then, Jay, shall we go?" he spoke.
"But of course." she smiled.
They walked out of the store and down the street together, chatting along the way. Jay couldn't help but smile.
Maybe I've found the right one...
Or did she? Basically she thinks Logan('Goth Boy') could be the real thing and Cyborg was just a phase...or was he? Hahaha, I'm sorry but I love leaving you guys with a cliffhanger, it fuels my existence! But seriously, who knows what's going to happen next? Please review, I'd love to know what you guys think!
